И$ въ лњто, л~ и~ е, цр~ьства е^го, взы'иде вааса цр~ь і^и^л~евъ, въ і^ё^де'ю, и^ стњнђ` ѓ^бъя'ше ра'мђ, да ни е^ді'нъ въ бо'язни можа'ше и^зыити`, и^ внїити` въ црsтво а%с#сино

And in the thirty-eighth year of the reign of Asa, the king of Israel went up against Juda, and built Rama, so as not to allow egress or ingress to Asa king of Juda.

и^ възя'тъ же а%с#са сребро` и^ зла'то эT сокро'вищъ до'мђ гн~я, и^ эT сокро'вищъ цр~ьскихъ” И$ посла` къ невеа^давђ цр~ю сљ=рьскђ, и^же ѓ^бита'ше въ дама'сцњ гл~ющи,

And Asa took silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the Lord, and of the king's house, and sent them to the son of Ader king of Syria, which dwelt in Damascus, saying,

прїими ми'ръ промежи мене` и^ тебе`, и^ межи` эTц~емъ моиM, и^ эTц~емъ твои^мъ, и^мњша съглаше'нїе, того ра'ди посла'хъ тебњ сребро` и^ зла'то, прїиди да разбїемъ эT мене` ваа%сомъ цр~я і^и^л~ева, и^ эTи'деT эT мене`,

Make a covenant between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee gold and silver: come, and turn away from me Baasa king of Israel, and let him depart from me.

и^ слы'ша сн~ъ а^де'ровъ цр~я а%с#сђ, и^ посла` нача'лники во'емъ своиM, къ гра'домъ і^и^л~евымъ, и^ порази'ша а^гино'на, и^ да'на, и^ а^велмаи^нъ, и^ вси` поса'ды неџали'мли стњна'та,

And the son of Ader hearkened to king Asa, and sent the captains of his host against the cities of Israel; and smote Æon, and Dan, and Abelmain, and all the country round Nephthali.

и^же е^гда` слы'ша ваа'са цр~ь і^и^л~евъ ѓ^ста'ви съзида'ти рама'ю и^ ѓ^ста'ви дњ'ло свое`”

And it came to pass when Baasa heard it, he left off building Rama, and put a stop to his work:

А/сса же цр~ь прїя'ть вс^ю і^ё^де'ю, и^ взя'ша ка'менїе эT ра'ма и^ лњ'съ и^же на съзида'нїе ё^гото'ва а%с#са” Създа' же в ни'хъ гаве'я, и^ ма'сфђ,

then king Asa took all Juda, and took the stones of Rama, and its timber, with which Baasa had built; and he built with them Gabae and Maspha.

и^ въ вре'мя ѓ'но прїиде а^на'нїя пррoкъ, къ а%с#сњ цр~ю і^ё'динђ” И$ рече е^мђ е^же и^мњ'лъ е^си ё^пова'нїе ко цр~ю сљ=рскђ, а^ не къ г~ђ б~ђ твое^мђ” Того ра'ди ё^шли` цр~я си'рьскаго во'и эT рђ'кђ твое'ю”

And at that time came Anani the prophet to Asa king of Juda, and said to him, Because thou didst trust on the king of Syria, and didst not trust on the Lord thy God, therefore the army of Syria is escaped out of thy hand.

Не е^фиѓ'пи ли, и^ ливїи бя'хђ тебњ` въ си'лђ мно'гђ и^ въ др'ъзость. колесни'цъ и^ ко'нникъ. и^ мно'жество ѕњ'ло” И$ вънегда` къ г~ђ вњ'ровалъ е^си, и^ преда` и^хъ въ рђкђ твою`.

Were not the Ethiopians and Libyans a great force, in courage, in horsemen, in great numbers? and did not He deliver them into thy hands, because thou trustedst in the Lord?

ѓ%чи б^о гн~и съзира'ющи вс^ю зе'млю. и^ въздаю'тъ крњ'пость тњ'мъ, и^же срDцемъ съвръше'номъ вњ'рђютъ во'нь. бђе' б^о сътвори'лъ е^си, и^ сего ра'ди т^о е^ще` настоя'щаго вре'мени на' тя бра'нь въста'нетъ”

For the eyes of the Lord look upon all the earth, to strengthen every heart that is perfect toward him. In this thou hast done foolishly; henceforth there shall be war with thee.

Разгнњ'ва же ся а%с#са на ви'дящаго. повелњ` е^го в#сади'ти во стражи'лницђ. ѕњ'ло бо сего ра'ди прогнњ'вася и^ ё^би` эT людїи во вре'мя т^о мно'гиX. дњла

And Asa was angry with the prophet, and put him in prison, for he was angry at this: and Asa vexed some of the people at that time.

же а%с#сы пр'ьвая и^ послњ'дняа, пи'сана сђть въ кни'ѕњ цр~еи і^ё'диныX і^и^л~я”

And, behold, the acts of Asa, the first and the last, are written in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel.

Разболњ' же ся а%сса въ лњто, л~џ. црsтва свое^го. бо'лњзнїю ѕелнњ'ишею на' ноги, и^ ни в не'мощи свое'и, възыска` г~а, н^о вра'чевъ”

And Asa was diseased in his feet in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, until he was very ill: but in his disease he sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians.

И$ ё^спе же съ эTц~ы свои^ми, и^ ё'мре лњта, м~а го, црsтва е^го.

And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the fortieth year of his reign.

и^ погребо'ша е^го въ гро'бњ е^го. и^же и^скопа` въ' градњ двд~вњ. положиша же е^го на посте'лњ и^ напоlниша а^рама'ты, и^ ро'ды ми'ра ё^ха'н#наго, и^ сътвори'ша е^мђ погребъ вели'къ ѕњ'ло”

And they buried him in the sepulchre which he had dug for himself in the city of David, and they laid him on a bed, and filled it with spices and all kinds of perfumes of the apothecaries; and they made for him a very great funeral.
