И бысть слово гн~е къ мн^њ гл~я,

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

сн~е чл~чь, чт^о ва'мᲆ притча си` на земли` і^и^л~евњ гл~ющимъ. эTц~ы зоба'ша па'родки, а^ зђбомъ чаD и^хъ ѓ^ско'мины бы'ша”

²

Son of man, what mean ye by this parable among the children of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the children's teeth have been set on edge?

³

Живђ` а^ꙁъ гл~еT а^дона'и г~ь. а^ще бђдетъ е^ще гл~емA прит#ча си` въ і^и^л~и.

³

As I live, saith the Lord, surely this parable shall no more be spoken in Israel.

⁴

ја^ко всяка дш~а моя сђть. ја%ко дш~а эTч~а, такоже и^ дш~а сн~овня, вся'ка дш~а моя сTђ. дш~а же ја^же съгрњша'етъ, т^а ё'мретъ. и^зоба'вшаго пароDки ꙁђбы ѓ^скомин#нњ бђдђтъ.

For all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son, they are mine: the soul that sins, it shall die.

⁵

чл~къ же и^же е^сть пради'въ, и^же сътворитъ сђдъ и^ правдђ,

⁵

But the man who shall be just, who executes judgment and righteousness,

⁶

на гораX не снњсть. и^ ѓ'чїю своею не въздви'гнетъ на кђми'ры домђ і^и^л~ева. и^ жены по'дрђга свое^го не ѓ^сквернавитъ. и^ кᲆ женњ` сквернавњ сђщи не приближиTся.

⁶

who shall not eat upon the mountains, and shall not at all lift up his eyes to the devices of the house of Israel, and shall not defile his neighbour's wife, and shall not draw nigh to her that is removed,

и^ чл~кђ не наси'лиT. заи'мъ долъжныи эTда'сᲄь. и^ въсхище'нїя не въсхитиT. хлњбъ свои а^лчнђ да'сть, и нага'го ѓблечетъ в ри'ꙁђ.

and shall not oppress any man, but shall return the pledge of the debtor, and shall be guilty of no plunder, shall give his bread to the hungry, and clothe the naked;

сребра` свое^го в ли'хвђ не в#дасть, и^ прибы'тка не во'зметъ, эT неправды эTврати'т#ъ рђкђ свою. и^ сђдъ сътвориT междђ мђжемъ и^ подрђгомъ своимъ.

and shall not lend his money upon usury, and shall not receive usurious increase, and shall turn back his hand from injustice, shall execute righteous judgment between a man and his neighbour,

и^ вᲆ за'повњдехъ мои^хъ хо'дитъ, и^ ѓ^правданїя моя снабдилъ е^сть. ја^коже сътворити т^а ја%ко правдиv сеи е^сть, жи'знь жи'ти и'мать” гл~етъ а^дона'и г~ь”

and has walked in my commandments and kept mine ordinances, to do them; he is righteous, he shall surely live, saith the Lord.

И$ а^ще ро'дитъ сн~а раZсыпателя, пролива'юща кро'вь и^ творя'ща грњхи.

¹⁰

And if he beget a mischievous son, shedding blood and committing sins,

¹¹

в# пђть эTц~а своеh правди'ваго не ходи`, н^о и^ на гора'хъ жер#лъ е^сть. и женђ` по'дрђга свое^го ѓ^сквернави'лъ е^сть.

¹¹

who has not walked in the way of his righteous father, but has even eaten upon the mountains, and has defiled his neighbour's wife,

и^ ё^богаго и^ ни'щаго преѓ^бидњлᲆ е^сть. и^ вᲆсхище'нїе въсхити'лъ е^сть, и^ ꙁаи^ма` не далъ е^сть. и^ к# кђми'ромъ положи` ѓ%чи свои`. безако'нїя сътвори`.

and has oppressed the poor and needy, and has committed robbery, and not restored a pledge, and has set his eyes upon idols, has wrought iniquities,

съ плодомъ ли'хое прїялъ е^сть. се'и жи'ꙁнь не живет#. вс^я си` беꙁаконїя сътвори`, смр~тїю ё'мретъ, кровь е^го на немъ бђдеT”

¹³

has lent upon usury, and taken usurious increase; he shall by no means live: he has wrought all these iniquities; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

¹⁴

А$ще ли ро'диT сн~а ѓ'н# же ви'дњ грњхи эTц~а своеh, ја%же сᲆтвори'лъ е^сть, ё^бои'т же ся и^ не сътворитъ по ни'мъ.

¹⁴

And if he beget a son, and the son see all his father's sins which he has wrought, and fear, and not do according to them,

¹⁵

на гора'хъ не снњсть, и^ ѓ'чїю свои^хъ не положитъ къ кђми'ромъ домђ і^и^л~ева. и^ жены` подрђга свое^го не ѓ^сквернави'тъ.

¹⁵

and if he has not eaten on the mountains, and has not set his eyes on the devices of the house of Israel, and has not defiled his neighbour's wife,

¹⁶

и^ чл~кђ не наси'литъ. и^ въ ꙁаи^мъ не зая. и^ въсхище'нїя не въсхи'титъ. хлњбъ свои а'лч#нђ д'асть. и^ на'га ѓ^дежетъ ри'ꙁою.

¹⁶

and has not oppressed a man, and has not retained the pledge, nor committed robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has clothed the naked,

¹⁷

и^ эT непра'вды эTврати'тъ рђкђ свою`. ли'хвы и^ мно'жества` не во'ꙁметъ. правдђ сътворитъ. и^ в# ꙁаповњдехъ мои^хᲆ хо'дитъ. не сконча'ется в непра'в#дњ эTц~а свое^го, н^о жи'знїю живе'тъ.

and has turned back his hand from unrighteousness, has not received interest or usurious increase, has wrought righteousness, and walked in mine ordinances; he shall not die for the iniquities of his father, he shall surely live.

¹⁸

эTц~ъ бо е^го печа'ли и^ ско'рби и^ въсхищенїе въсхити`, и^ съпроти'вно сътвори` средњ людїи, и^ ё^мретъ в непра'вдњ свое'и.

¹⁸

But if his father grievously afflict, or plunder, he has wrought enmity in the midst of my people, and shall die in his iniquity.

¹⁹

и^ рекосте, почт^о нњсть прїялъ сн~ъ непра'вды эTц~а свое^го” Се виждь, ја%ко сн~ъ правдђ и^ млsть сътвори`. вс^я зако'ны моя снабдᲇ, и^ сᲆтвори я&, жи'знїю живеT”

But ye will say, Why has not the son borne the iniquity of the father? Because the son has wrought judgment and mercy, has kept all my statutes, and done them, he shall surely live.

Дш~а же съгрњша'ющїа т^а и^ ё'мреT. и сн~ъ не возмеT непра'вды эTц~а своего, и^ эTц~ъ не во'ꙁмеT непра'вды сн~а своеh” пра'вда правди'ваго на немъ бђдет#, и^ беꙁаконїе безако'нника на немъ бђдетъ”

But the soul that sins shall die: and the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the iniquity of the transgressor shall be upon him.

²¹

И$ безако'нникъ а^ще ся ѓ^братиT эT всњхъ безако'нїи, ја%же е^сть сътвори'лъ. и^ снабди'тъ вся` за'повњди моя, и^ съᲄвори'тъ сђдъ и^ пра'вдђ и^ млsть, жи'ꙁнїю живе'т#, и^ не ё'мретъ.

²¹

And if the transgressor turn away from all his iniquities which he has committed, and keep all my commandments, and do justice and mercy, he shall surely live, and shall by no means die.

²²

вся` съгрњше'нїя е^ли'ко бђдетъ сътвори'лъ не помянђтся е^мђ. въ пра'вдњ е^го ја%же сътвори` живъ бђдетъ”

²²

None of his trespasses which he has committed shall be remembered: in his righteousness which he has done he shall live.

²³

Є$да вᲆсхотњнїеM въсхощђ смр~ти грњшника, гл~етъ а^дона'и г~ь. а^ не ја%коже ѓ^брати'тися е^мђ эT пђти` ѕл^а и^ жи'вђ бы'ти”

²³

Shall I at all desire the death of the sinner, saith the Lord, as I desire that he should turn from his evil way, and live?

²⁴

И$ а'ще ся съврати'тъ прав#дивыи с пђти свое^го, и^ сътво'ритᲆ непра'вдђ по всњмъ беꙁако'нїемъ, ја%же е^сть сътвори'лъ беꙁако'нникъ. а^ще сътворитъ не живе'тъ. вс^я пра'вды е^го ја%же е^сть сътвори'лъ, не помянTђся. въ престђпле'нїи иMже престђпи`, и^ въ грњсехъ е^го ја%же съгрњши, в ни'хъ ё'мретъ”

²⁴

But when the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, according to all the transgressions which the transgressor has wrought, none of his righteousness which he has wrought shall be at all remembered: in his trespass wherein he has trespassed, and in his sins wherein he has sinned, in them shall he die.

И$ реко'сте, не ё%правится пђть гн~ь. слы'шите ё^бо до'ме і^и^л~евъ, е^да пђть мои не ё%пра'вится, не ваj ли пђть ё^бо не ё%пра'вится”

²⁵

Yet ye have said, The way of the Lord is not straight. Hear now, all the house of Israel; will not my way be straight? Is your way straight?

²⁶

е^гда съврати'тся пра'вдивыи эT пра'вды своея, и^ сътвори'тъ грњхъ и^же еs сътвори'лъ, т^о в немъ ёмретъ.

²⁶

When the righteous turns away from his righteousness and commits a trespass, and dies in the trespass which he has committed, he shall even die in it.

²⁷

и^ е^гда ѓ^брати'тся беꙁако'нникъ эT беꙁако'нїя свое^го и^же е^сть сътвори'лъ, и^ сътво'ритъ сђдъ и^ пра'вдђ, то'и дш~ђ свою снабдњлъ е^сть.

²⁷

And when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and shall do judgment and justice, he has kept his soul,

²⁸

и^ ви'дњ и^ ѓ^братися эT всего беꙁако'нїя свое^го е^же сътвори`, жи'знїю живе'тъ, и^ не ё'мретъ.

²⁸

and has turned away from all his ungodliness which he has committed: he shall surely live, he shall not die.

²⁹

и^ гл~етᲆ до'мъ і^и^л~евъ, не ё%пра'виTся пђть гн~ь. е^да пђть мои не ё%правъ ЭO доме і^и^л~евъ, ё^бо вашъ пђть не ё^правля'ется”

²⁹

Yet the house of Israel say, The way of the Lord is not right. Is not my way right, O house of Israel? is not your way wrong?

³⁰

Сего ради комђждо по пђти` е^го ѓ^сђжђ ваM до'ме і^и^л~евъ, гл~етъ а^дона'и г~ь. ѓ^брати'теся и^ эTврьзитеся эT всњхъ нечестїи вашихъ, и^ не бђдетъ ва'мᲆ на мђче'нїе. непра'вды

³⁰

I will judge you, O house of Israel, saith the Lord, each one according to his way: be converted, and turn from all your ungodliness, and it shall not become to you the punishment of iniquity.

³¹

эTврьꙁите эT себе, и^ вся` нечестїя ва'ша, ја%же нечествова'сте къ мнњ. и^ сътвори'те себњ срDце но'во, и^ дх~ъ но'въ. въскђю б^о ё^мира'ете до'ме і^и^л~евᲆ”

³¹

Cast away from yourselves all your ungodliness wherein ye have sinned against me; and make to yourselves a new heart and a new spirit: for why should ye die, O house of Israel?

³²

ЈА/ко не хощђ см~рти грњшника ё^мира'ющаго, гл~етъ а^дона'и г~ь. ја%коy ѓ^брати'тися е^мђ эT пђти` е^го, и^ жи'ти дш~и е^го, гл~етъ а^дона'и г~ь. ѓ^брати'теся ё^бо и^ жи'ви бђдете”

For I desire not the death of him that dies, saith the Lord.
