И бы'сть сло'во г~а вседръжи'теля къ мнњ`, гл~я,

And the word of the Lord Almighty came, saying,

си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель. ревновахъ і^ерsли'мђ и^ сїѓ'нђ рве'нїемъ вели'комъ, и^ ја%ростїю велїею ревнова'хъ е^мђ”

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; I have been jealous for Jerusalem and for Sion with great jealousy, and I have been jealous for her with great fury.

Та'ко гл~етъ г~ь, ѓ^бращђся на сїѓ'на, и^ вселюs посредњ і^ерsли'ма. и^ наречется і^ерsли'мъ гра'дъ и%стин#ныи и^ гора` г~а вседръжи'теля, гора` ст~ая”

Thus saith the Lord; I will return to Sion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a true city, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty a holy mountain.

Си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель, е^ще` ся'дђтъ старцы и^ стари'ца на пђтехъ і^ерsлиMскихъ, кождо жезлъ сво'и и^мыи въ рђцњ свое'и эT мно'жества дн~їи.

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; There shall yet dwell old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, every one holding his staff in his hand for age.

и^ пђтїе гра'да и^сполняTся ѓ%трочищь и^ ѓ^троковиць и^гра'юще на пђтехъ е^го”

⁵

And the broad places of the city shall be filled with boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

Си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжитель, а^ще и^знемо'жеT преD ѓ^ста'нкомъ людїи сихъ въ ѓ%нXњ дн~ехъ. е^да` и^ предо мно'ю иꙁнемо'жеT, гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель”

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; If it shall be impossible in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, shall it also be impossible in my sight? saith the Lord Almighty.

Си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель, с^е а%зъ сп~сђ лю'ди моя` эT земля` восᲄочныя, и^ эT ꙁемля` за'паDныя.

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and the west country;

и^ въведђ я& въ ꙁемлю иX и^ вселю'ся посредњ і^ерsли'ма, и^ бђдђтъ м^и въ люди, и^ а'зъ бђдђ и^мъ въ б~а въи%стин#нђ и^ въ пра'вдђ”

and I will bring them in, and cause them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be to me a people, and I will be to them a God, in truth and in righteousness.

Си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель, дђ ё^крњпя'тся рђ'ки ва'ша слы'шащихъ въ дн~и с^и словеса` с^и эT ё'стъ пррoческь, эT негоже дн~е ѓ^снова'ся хра'мъ г~а вседръжи'теля, и^ цр~кви эTнелњже създа'ся.

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words out of the mouth of the prophets, from the day that the house of the Lord Almighty was founded, and from the time that the temple was built.

зане прежDе дн~їи ѓ%нњхъ м#зда чл~коM не бњ` вᲆ ё^спXњ, и^ м#зда скотоM не бяше, и^ и^сходящемђ и^ вᲆходящемђ не б^њ мира эT печа'ли, и^ послю` вс^я чл~ки когождо на и^скреняго свое^го.

For before those days the wages of men could not be profitable, and there could be no hire of cattle, and there could be no peace by reason of the affliction to him that went out or to him that came in: for I would have let loose all men, every one against his neighbour.

и^ нн~њ не по дн~емъ ѓ%нњмъ пръвымъ а%ꙁъ сътворю` ѓ^стан#кђ людїи си'хъ, гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель,

But now I will not do to the remnant of this people according to the former days, saith the Lord Almighty.

н^о покажђ ми'ръ. вино да'сть плоD сво'и, и^ земля` да'сть жи'та своя`, и^ нб~о да'сть вла'гђ свою. и^ наслњ'дятъ ѓ^стан#кђ лю'дїи мои^хъ вся с^и.

¹²

But I will shew peace: the vine shall yield her fruit, and the land shall yield her produce, and the heaven shall give its dew: and I will give as an inheritance all these things to the remnant of my people.

¹³

и^ бђдете ја%коже бњсте въ кля'твђ въ ја%зы'цехъ до'ме і^ё'довъ, и^ до'ме і^ил~в#. та'ко провождђ в^ы, и^ бђдете въ блsве'нїе” дръза'ите, и^ крепњтеs рђка'ми вашими.

And it shall come to pass, as ye were a curse among the nations, O house of Juda, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: be of good courage, and strengthen your hands.

зане си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель, ја^коже помы'слихъ ѓ^злоби'ти в^ы, внегда` прогнњваша м^я эTц~ы ва'ши, гл~етᲆ г~ь вседръжи'тель, и^ не покая'хся,

¹⁴

For thus saith the Lord Almighty; As I took counsel to afflict you when your fathers provoked me, saith the Lord Almighty, and I repented not:

тако ѓ^пол#чихся. и^ помы'шляю въ дн~и сїя добро` сътвори'ти і^ерsли'мђ и^ до'мђ і^ё'довђ, дръза'ите.

¹⁵

so have I prepared and taken counsel in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Juda: be ye of good courage.

¹⁶

си^ словеса` ја%же сътвори'те, гл~ите и%стин#нђ ко'ждо и^скренемђ свое^мђ. и^стиннђ и^ сђдъ ми'ренъ сђди'те вᲆ вра'техъ свои^хъ.

¹⁶

These are the things which ye shall do; speak truth every one with his neighbour; judge truth and peaceable judgment in your gates:

и^ кождо ѕло'бы и^скреня'го свое^го не помышля'ите въ срDцыхъ ва'шиX. и^ кля'твы и^ л#жа не люби'те, зане вс^я си` възненавидњхъ, гл~етъ г~ь вседръжитель”

and let none of you devise evil in his heart against his neighbour; and love not a false oath: for all these things I hate, saith the Lord Almighty.

И$ бы'сть сло'во г~а вседръжи'теля къ мнњ`, гл~я,

¹⁸

And the word of the Lord Almighty came to me, saying,

си'це гл~етъ г~ь ввседръжи'тель, по'стъ четве'ртыи, и^ по'стъ пя'тыи, и^ по'стъ сеDмыи, и^ по'стъ деся'тыи бђдетъ до'мђ і^ё'довђ въ ра'досᲄь, и^ въ весе'лїе, и^ вᲆ празDники бл~гы, и^ въꙁвеселитеся, і^ и'стиннђ и^ ми'ръ въꙁлюби'те”

Thus saith the Lord Almighty, The fourth fast, and the fifth fast, and the seventh fast, and the tenth fast, shall be to the house of Juda for joy and gladness, and for good feasts; and ye shall rejoice; and love ye the truth and peace.

Си'це гл~етъ г~ь вседръжи'тель, е^ще` лю'дїе мно'ѕи прїидђтъ, и^ живђще'и въ гра'дњхъ мно'ѕњхъ.

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Yet shall many peoples come, and the inhabitants of many cities;

и^ сън#мђтся живђщеи въ пятигра'дъ въ е^ді'нъ градъ, гл~юще, грядњмъ и^дђще моли'тися лицю` гн~ю вседръжи'телевђ, и^ възыска'ти лица` гн~я вседръжи'телева. и^дђ и^ а'зъ.

and the inhabitants of five cities shall come together to one city, saying, Let us go to make supplication to the Lord, and to seek the face of the Lord Almighty; I will go also.

и^ прїидђтъ лю'дїе мно'ѕи, и^ ја^зы'ци мно'ѕи възыска'ти лица` г~а вседръжи'теля въ і^ерsли'мњ, и^ ѓ^цыститися преD лицеM г~а вседръжи'теля”

And many peoples and many nations shall come to seek earnestly the face of the Lord Almighty in Jerusalem, and to obtain favour of the Lord.

²³

Си'це гл~етᲆ г~ь вседержитель, во ѓ'ны дн~и и^меTся де'сять мђжь эT всXњ пле'менᲆ ја^зы'ческиX, і^ и^мђтся за ри'зђ мђжа жидови'на, гл~юще, и%деM с тобо'ю, зане слы'шахоM ја%ко б~ъ с ва'ми еs”

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; In those days my word shall be fulfilled if ten men of all the languages of the nations should take hold—even take hold of the hem of a Jew, saying, We will go with thee; for we have heard that God is with you.
