(Заⷱ҇ н҃.) А҆́зъ є҆́смь лоза̀ и҆́стиннаѧ, и҆ ѻ҆ц҃ъ мо́й дѣ́латель є҆́сть:

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

²

всѧ́кꙋ ро́згꙋ ѡ҆ мнѣ̀ не творѧ́щꙋю плода̀, и҆́зметъ ю҆̀: и҆ всѧ́кꙋ творѧ́щꙋю пло́дъ, ѡ҆треби́тъ ю҆̀, да мно́жайшїй пло́дъ принесе́тъ.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.

³

Оу҆жѐ вы̀ чи́сти є҆стѐ за сло́во, є҆́же гл҃ахъ ва́мъ.

Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.

Бꙋ́дите во мнѣ̀, и҆ а҆́зъ въ ва́съ. Ꙗ҆́коже розга̀ не мо́жетъ плода̀ сотвори́ти ѡ҆ себѣ̀, а҆́ще не бꙋ́детъ на лозѣ̀, та́кѡ и҆ вы̀, а҆́ще во мнѣ̀ не пребꙋ́дете.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.

А҆́зъ є҆́смь лоза̀, вы́ (же) ро́ждїе: (и҆) и҆́же бꙋ́детъ во мнѣ̀, и҆ а҆́зъ въ не́мъ, то́й сотвори́тъ пло́дъ мно́гъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ без̾ менє̀ не мо́жете твори́ти ничесѡ́же:

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.

а҆́ще кто̀ во мнѣ̀ не пребꙋ́детъ, и҆зве́ржетсѧ во́нъ, ꙗ҆́коже розга̀, и҆ и҆зсы́шетъ: и҆ собира́ютъ ю҆̀ и҆ во ѻ҆́гнь влага́ютъ, и҆ сгара́етъ:

If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

а҆́ще пребꙋ́дете во мнѣ̀ и҆ гл҃го́лы моѝ въ ва́съ пребꙋ́дꙋтъ, є҆гѡ́же а҆́ще хо́щете, проси́те, и҆ бꙋ́детъ ва́мъ:

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

ѡ҆ се́мъ просла́висѧ ѻ҆ц҃ъ мо́й, да пло́дъ мно́гъ сотворитѐ, и҆ бꙋ́дете моѝ оу҆чн҃цы̀.

⁸

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples.

(Заⷱ҇ н҃а҃.) Ꙗ҆́коже возлюби́ мѧ ѻ҆ц҃ъ, и҆ а҆́зъ возлюби́хъ ва́съ: бꙋ́дите въ любвѝ мое́й:

Even as the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you: abide ye in my love.

а҆́ще за́пѡвѣди моѧ̑ соблюде́те, пребꙋ́дете въ любвѝ мое́й, ꙗ҆́коже а҆́зъ за́пѡвѣди ѻ҆ц҃а̀ моегѡ̀ соблюдо́хъ, и҆ пребыва́ю въ є҆гѡ̀ любвѝ.

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

Сїѧ̑ гл҃ахъ ва́мъ, да ра́дость моѧ̀ въ ва́съ бꙋ́детъ и҆ ра́дость ва́ша и҆спо́лнитсѧ.

¹¹

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may abide in you, and that your joy may be made full.

Сїѧ̀ є҆́сть за́повѣдь моѧ̀, да лю́бите дрꙋ́гъ дрꙋ́га, ꙗ҆́коже возлюби́хъ вы̀:

¹²

This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you.

¹³

бо́лши сеѧ̀ любвѐ никто́же и҆́мать, да кто̀ дꙋ́шꙋ свою̀ положи́тъ за дрꙋ́ги своѧ̑.

¹³

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

¹⁴

Вы̀ дрꙋ́зи моѝ є҆стѐ, а҆́ще творитѐ, є҆ли̑ка а҆́зъ заповѣ́даю ва́мъ:

¹⁴

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

¹⁵

не ктомꙋ̀ ва́съ гл҃ю рабы̑, ꙗ҆́кѡ ра́бъ не вѣ́сть, что̀ твори́тъ госпо́дь є҆гѡ̀: ва́съ же реко́хъ дрꙋ́ги, ꙗ҆́кѡ всѧ̑, ꙗ҆̀же слы́шахъ ѿ ѻ҆ц҃а̀ моегѡ̀, сказа́хъ ва́мъ.

No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known unto you.

¹⁶

Не вы̀ менѐ и҆збра́сте, но а҆́зъ и҆збра́хъ ва́съ, и҆ положи́хъ ва́съ, да вы̀ и҆́дете и҆ пло́дъ принесе́те, и҆ пло́дъ ва́шъ пребꙋ́детъ, да, є҆гѡ́же а҆́ще про́сите ѿ ѻ҆ц҃а̀ во и҆́мѧ моѐ, да́стъ ва́мъ.

Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

¹⁷

(Заⷱ҇ н҃в҃.) Сїѧ̑ заповѣ́даю ва́мъ, да лю́бите дрꙋ́гъ дрꙋ́га.

¹⁷

These things I command you, that ye may love one another.

¹⁸

А҆́ще мі́ръ ва́съ ненави́дитъ, вѣ́дите, ꙗ҆́кѡ менѐ пре́жде ва́съ возненави́дѣ:

¹⁸

If the world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before it hated you.

¹⁹

а҆́ще ѿ мі́ра бы́сте бы́ли, мі́ръ оу҆́бѡ своѐ люби́лъ бы̀: ꙗ҆́коже ѿ мі́ра нѣ́сте, но а҆́зъ и҆збра́хъ вы̀ ѿ мі́ра, сегѡ̀ ра́ди ненави́дитъ ва́съ мі́ръ.

If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

²⁰

Помина́йте сло́во, є҆́же а҆́зъ рѣ́хъ ва́мъ: нѣ́сть ра́бъ бо́лїй го́спода своегѡ̀: а҆́ще менѐ и҆згна́ша, и҆ ва́съ и҆зженꙋ́тъ: а҆́ще сло́во моѐ соблюдо́ша, и҆ ва́ше соблюдꙋ́тъ:

Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.

но сїѧ̑ всѧ̑ творѧ́тъ ва́мъ за и҆́мѧ моѐ, ꙗ҆́кѡ не вѣ́дѧтъ посла́вшагѡ мѧ̀.

²¹

But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

А҆́ще не бы́хъ прише́лъ и҆ гл҃алъ и҆̀мъ, грѣха̀ не бы́ша и҆мѣ́ли: нн҃ѣ же вины̀ [и҆звине́нїѧ] не и҆́мꙋтъ ѡ҆ грѣсѣ̀ свое́мъ:

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.

²³

ненави́дѧй менѐ, и҆ ѻ҆ц҃а̀ моего̀ ненави́дитъ:

He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

²⁴

а҆́ще дѣ́лъ не бы́хъ сотвори́лъ въ ни́хъ, и҆́хже и҆́нъ никто́же сотворѝ, грѣха̀ не бы́ша и҆мѣ́ли: нн҃ѣ же и҆ ви́дѣша, и҆ возненави́дѣша менѐ и҆ ѻ҆ц҃а̀ моего̀:

If I had not done among them the works which none other hath done, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

но да сбꙋ́детсѧ сло́во, пи́санное въ зако́нѣ и҆́хъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ возненави́дѣша мѧ̀ тꙋ́не.

²⁵

But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

²⁶

Є҆гда́ же прїи́детъ оу҆тѣ́шитель, є҆го́же а҆́зъ послю̀ ва́мъ ѿ ѻ҆ц҃а̀, дх҃ъ и҆́стины, и҆́же ѿ ѻ҆ц҃а̀ и҆схо́дитъ, то́й свидѣ́телствꙋетъ ѡ҆ мнѣ̀:

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:

²⁷

и҆ вы́ же свидѣ́телствꙋете, ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆сконѝ со мно́ю є҆стѐ.

²⁷

and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
