And Aggæus the prophet, and Zacharias the son of Addo, prophesied a prophecy to the Jews in Juda and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even to them.

Пррoкова'ша же, а^г#ге'и прoркъ и^ заха'рїя сн~ъ аDдов#” Прорица'ющи къ і^ё^де'ѓмъ иже бяхђ въ і^ё^де'и і^ и^ерsлимњ въ и^мя б~а і^и^л~ева”

Then rose up Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, and Jesus the son of Josedec, and began to build the house of God that was in Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God assisting them.

ТогDа воста'ша зороваве'ль сн~ъ салафїилеv, и^ ѓ^сђе сн~ъ і^ѓ^седе'ковъ” И$ нача'ша зда'ти цр~квь гн~ю и^же въ і^ерsлі'мњ и^ с ни'ми прoрцы бж~їи помага'ющи иM”

At the same time came there upon them Thanthanai, the governor on this side the river, and Satharbuzanai, and their fellow-servants, and spoke thus to them, Who has ordained a decree for you to build this house, and to provide this preparation?

В то' же вре'мя прїиде к ниM џаџана'и иже бы'сть княѕь за рњко'ю, и^ саџа'рьвђзана'и и^ совњтницы и^хъ” Такоже гл~а и^мъ, кт^о да'лъ вамъ совњтъ. да до'мъ той съзи'ждете и^ стњ'ны е^го въста'вите”

Then they spoke thus to them, What are the names of the men that build this city?

Тогда` сїя реко'ша и^мъ, ја%кова` и^мена` мђжїи тњхъ и^же съзида'ютъ гра'дъ се'и”

But the eyes of God were upon the captivity of Juda, and they did not cause them to cease till the decree was brought to Darius; and then was sent by the tribute-gatherer concerning this

И$ ѓ'чи бж~їи на плњне'нїя і^ё'дина, и^ не възбрани'ша иM до повеле'нїя да'рїева, дондеже эTне'сено бђдетъ посланїе” И$ тогда` посла` да'нино'сца, сего ра'ди

the copy of a letter, which Thanthanai, the governor of the part on this side the river, and Satharbuzanai, and their fellow-servants the Apharsachæans who were on this side of the river, sent to king Darius.

и^ възвњще'нїя съ псанїемъ ја%же посла` кн~ѕь эT ѓ^бо'нђ страны` рњки`” Сказа'нїеy посла'нїя си'це” Саџарвђза'нъ и^ совњтницы е^го а^џарсаџе'и, и^же бя'хђ за рњко'ю, да'рїю цр~ю

They sent an account to him, and thus it was written in it: All peace to king Darius.

Be it known to the king, that we went into the land of Judea, to the house of the great God; and it is building with choice stones, and they are laying timbers in the walls, and that work is prospering, and goes on favourably in their hands.

Вњдомо да бђдетъ цр~ю ја%ко ходи'хоM въ і^ё^де'искђю странђ` къ до'мђ бж~їю вели'комђ и^же съзида'ется ка'менїеM ё^краше'н#нымъ и^ дре'во ста'вится въ стњна'хъ. дњло же т^о съ т#ща'нїемъ строится. и^ поспњша'ется въ рђка'хъ и^хъ.

Then we asked those elders, and thus we said to them, Who gave you the order to build this house, and to provide this preparation?

въспроси'хомъ б^о ста'рецъ тњхъ, и^ та'ко рекохомъ и^мъ” Кт^о да'лъ ва'мъ ѓ%бласть да до'мъ тои съзи'ждете, и^ стњны тїи въста'вите.

And we asked them their names, in order to declare them to thee, so as to write to thee the names of their leading men.

н^о і^ и^мена и^хъ и^ска'хомъ эT нихъ да възвњсти'мъ тебњ. ја%ко да пи'шемъ и^мена иX мђжемъ и^же сђть нача'лницы в ниX.

And they answered us thus, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are building the house which had been built many years before this, and a great king of Israel built it, and established it for them.

И$ си'цевы словеса` эTвњща'ша намъ гл~ющи” Мы` е^сми раби` б~а нб~си и^ земли`. и^ съзида'емъ цр~ковь и^же бы'сть ё^стро'ена пре'жде тњхъ лTњ мно'гихъ. и^ цр~ь і^и^л~евъ вели'кїи създа'лъ ю& и^ сътвори'лъ, и^ разори` ю&

But after that our fathers provoked the God of heaven, he gave them into the hands of Nabuchodonosor the Chaldean, king of Babylon, and he destroyed this house, and carried the people captive to Babylon.

и^хъ ра'ди” Поне'же въ ја%рости прогнњвахђ эTц~ы на'ши б~а нбsнаго и^ преда'лъ ихъ в рђки нав#ходоносо'рђ цр~ю вављ=ло'ньскомђ и^ халде'искомђ, и^ доM тои разори'лъ, и^ лю'ди преве'лъ въ вављ=лонъ”

And in the first year of king Cyrus, Cyrus the king made a decree that this house of God should be built.

Но лњта, а~ го кљ=ра цр~я. кљ=ръ цр~ь вављ=ло'ньскїи поста'вилъ повеле'нїе, да до'мъ бж~їи съзи'ждется.

And the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nabuchodonosor brought out from the house that was in Jerusalem, and carried them into the temple of the king, them did king Cyrus bring out from the temple of the king, and gave them to Sabanasar the treasurer, who was over the treasure;

и^ сосђды цр~кви бж~їя зла'тыя и^ сре'бреныя и^хже навходоносо'ръ взя'лъ эT цр~кви и^же бы'сть въ і^ерsлимњ. и^ эTнеслъ я& въ цр~ковь вављ=ло'ньскђю. в#зя'лъ кљ=ръ цр~ь эT цр~кви вављ=ло'ньскїя и^ да` и^хъ санаваса'рђ храни'телю, и^же наD сокро'вищеM

and said to him, Take all the vessels, and go, put them in the house that is in Jerusalem in their place.

рече же е^мђ сїи сосђди вс^и възми` и^ поиди`. и^ поста'ви и^хъ въ цр~кви и^же е^сть въ і^ерsлимњ въ мњсте и^хъ”

Then that Sabanazar came, and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem: and from that time even until now it has been building, and has not been finished.

Тогда саванаса'ръ тои прїиде, и^ поста'вилъ ѓ^снованїе цр~кви бж~їи въ і^ерsлимњ. и^ эT того вре'мени даже и^ до нн~њ съзидаеTся, и^ ни` е^ще` съвръше'на е^сть. и^ нн~њ зи'ждется и^ не совръши'ся”

And now, if it seem good to the king, let search be made in the treasure-house of the king at Babylon, that thou mayest know if it be that a decree was made by king Cyrus to build that house of God that was in Jerusalem, and let the king send to us when he has learnt concerning this matter.

И$ нн~њ ё^бо а^ще ви'диTся цр~ю бл~го. раз#смотри` въ книгохрани'телницы цр~евњ, и^же е^сть въ вављ=ло'нњ ја%ко да ё^вњси ја%ко эT кљ=ра цр~я си` повелњно бы'сть да съзида'е^тся до'мъ бж~їи въ і^ерsлимњ. и^ ё^вњдњвъ цр~ю ѓ^ семъ посли` к намъ”
