And when these things were finished, the princes drew near to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands in their abominations, even the Chananite, the Ethite, the Pherezite, the Jebusite, the Ammonite, the Moabite, and the Moserite and the Amorite.

И$ ја%ко съвръше'на сђть сїя. пристђпи'ша къ мнњ` кн~ѕи гл~юще. нњсть эTлђче'ни людїе і^и^л~евы и^ сщ~еницы и^ левљ=ти эT людїи зе'мныхъ, н^о съ нечистота'ми и^хъ бя'хђ. и^же е^сть ханане'и, и^ е^в#ве'и, и^ ферезе'и, и^ е^вђсеи. и^ съ а^мони'тяны, и^ моа^ви'тяны, и^ а^мореа^ны,

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and their sons; and the holy seed has passed among the nations of the lands, and the hand of the rulers has been first in this transgression.

и^же прїя'ша эT дще'реи и^хъ себњ и^ сн~омъ свои^мъ” И$ смњси'ша сњ'мя ст~ое съ люDми зе'м#ными” И$ рђки же кн~ѕїи мно'жае быша въ престђпле'нїи. с^е а^зъ

And when I heard this thing, I rent my garments, and trembled, and plucked some of the hairs of my head and of my beard, and sat down mourning.

е^гдаже слы'шахъ словеса` т^а. раздраX ри'зы своя` и^ рида'хъ, терза'хъ вла'сы главы` мое'я и^ брадђ. и^ сњдоX тђжа`”

Then there assembled to me all that followed the word of the God of Israel, on account of the transgression of the captivity; and I remained mourning until the evening sacrifice.

И$ събра'шася къ мнњ` вс^и боя'щися сло'ва б~а і^и^л~ева за престђпле'нїе и^же эT плњне'нїа прїидо'ша” И$ а'зъ сњдяX приско'рбенъ да'же до жрьтвы вече'рняа

And at the evening sacrifice I rose up from my humiliation; and when I had rent my garments, then I trembled, and I bow myself on my knees, and spread out my hands to the Lord God,

и^ в жрьтвђ вече'рнюю въстаX эT покая'нїа, и^ вънегда` раздра'хъ ри'зы своа` и^ пла'кахся преклониX колњнњ мои` и^ простро'хъ рђцњ мои` къ г~ђ б~ђ мое^мђ

and I said, O Lord, I am ashamed and confounded, O my God, to lift up my face to thee: for our transgressions have abounded over our head, and our trespasses have increased even to heaven.

и реко'хъ” Бж~е мои стыжDђся и^ срамлю'ся въздви'гнђти лице` мое` к тебњ. ја%ко безако'нїя на'ша ё^мно'жена сђть на главаX на'шихъ. и^ безако'нїя на'ша възрасто'ша да'же до нб~си

From the days of our fathers we have been in a great trespass until this day: and because of our iniquities we, and our kings, and our children, have been delivered into the hand of the kings of the Gentiles by the sword, and by captivity, and by spoil, and with shame of our face, as at this day.

эT дн~їи эTц~ъ на'шихъ. въ престђпле'нїи на'шемъ е^смы да'же до дн~и сего” И$ въ безако'нїи на'шиX преда'ни е^смы`. и цр~и на'ши и^ сщ~енницы на'ши въ рђ'кђ цр~емъ земли, и^ въ ме'чь и^ въ плњне'нїе и^ въ расхище'нїе и^ въ ѓ^стыдњ'нїе лица` ја^ко и^ въ дн~ь то'и”

And now our God has dealt mercifully with us, so as to leave us to escape, and to give us an establishment in the place of his sanctuary, to enlighten our eyes, and to give a little quickening in our servitude.

И$ нн~њ ја%ко въ ма'лњ м#гнове'нїи сътворе'но е^сть моле'нїе на'ше къ г~ђ б~ђ на'шемђ. да ся ѓ^ста'вятъ наM ѓ^ста'н#ки. и^ да ся да'сть намъ ми'ръ въ мњ'стњ ст~емъ е^го. и^ да просвњти'тъ ѓ%чи на'ши б~ъ наj” И$ да ся да'сть намъ живо'тъ ма'лъ въ рабо'тњ на'шеи.

For we are slaves, yet in our servitude the Lord our God has not deserted us; and he has extended favour to us in the sight of the kings of the Persians, to give us a quickening, that they should raise up the house of our God, and restore the desolate places of it, and to give us a fence in Juda and Jerusalem.

ја%ко раби` е^смы` и^ къ работњ` на'шеи не ѓ^ста'ви насъ б~ъ на'шъ” И$ ё^клони` на наs млрsдїе преD цр~емъ прьскимъ да да'сть намъ животъ, въздви'гнђти до'мъ б~ђ на'шемђ и^ ё^стро'ити пђсты'ня е^го. и^ даде` на'мъ ё^пова'нїе въ і^ё^де'и і^ и^ерsлимњ”

What shall we say, our God, after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,

И$ нн~њ речемъ г~и б~е на'шъ въ сїе, и^же ѓ^ставихомъ повеле'нїя твоя`.

which thou hast given us by the hand of thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, into which ye go to inherit it, is a land subject to disturbance by the removal of the people of the nations for their abominations, wherewith they have filled it from one end to the other by their uncleannesses.

и^же повелњлъ е^си рђко'ю рабъ твои^хъ пррoкъ гл~ющи. земля` на ню'же в^ы взы'идете да въздержи'те е^я`, земля` нечи'ста е^сть по нечистотњ` людїи про'чихъ земли`, въ ноше'нїи и^хъ, и^же и^спо'лниша ю& эT ё'стъ даже до у'стъ скверне'нїе иX”

And now give not your daughters to their sons, and take not of their daughters for your sons, neither shall ye seek their peace or their good for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and transmit it as an inheritance to your children for ever.

нн~њ ё^бо дще'ри ва'ши не да'ите сн~омъ и^хъ, и^ дще'ри иX не прїемли'те сн~овоM вашимъ, и^ не и%щњте ми'ра и^хъ, и^ бл~гая и^хъ, да'же до' вњка, да'же ё^крњпи'теся и^ ја^ди'те, и^же бл~га сђть земли`. и^ наслњ'дїе и^мњю^тъ сн~ове ва'ши да'же до' вњка”

And after all that is come upon us because of our evil deeds, and our great trespass, it is clear that there is none such as our God, for thou hast lightly visited our iniquities, and given us deliverance;

И$ по всXњ и^же прїидо'ша на насъ в дњ'лехъ на'шиX строп#ти'выхъ. и^ грњсњ на'шемъ вели'ком#. ја%ко нњ'сть и^нъ ја%ко б~ъ наj и^же и^зба'ви наs эT безако'нїи на'шиX” И$ да'лъ е^сть на'мъ спsнїе,

whereas we have repeatedly broken thy commandments, and intermarried with the people of the lands: be not very angry with us to our utter destruction, so that there should be no remnant or escaping one.

мы же ѓ^брати'хомся разори'ти за'повњди твоа`. и^ съженя'емся съ люDми зе'мными” Не прогнњва'еши ли ся на на'съ да'же до сконча'нїя. ниже ѓ^ста'виши л^и намъ ѓ^ста'нокъ на спsнїе”

O Lord God of Israel, thou art righteous; for we remain yet escaped, as at this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee on this account.

Ги~ б~е і^и^л~евъ пра'веденъ е^си т^ы. ја%ко ѓ^ста'вихомъ спsнїе, ја%ко и^ въ дн~ь сїи” с^е м^ы преD тобо'ю е^смы` вс^и въ безако'нїи на'шемъ. ни бо` ста'ти мо'жемъ преD тобо'ю се'го ра'ди”
