Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith God.

Speak, ye priests, to the heart of Jerusalem; comfort her, for her humiliation is accomplished, her sin is put away: for she has received of the Lord's hand double the amount of her sins.

свzщeнницы, глаг0лите въ сeрдце їеrли1му, ўтэшaйте и5, ћкw нап0лнисz смирeніе є3гw2, разрэши1сz грёхъ є3гw2, ћкw пріsтъ t рyки гDни суг{бы грэхи2 сво‰.

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight the paths of our God.

Глaсъ вопію1щагw въ пустhни: ўгот0вайте пyть гDень, пр†вы сотвори1те стєзи2 бGа нaшегw:

Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low: and all the crooked ways shall become straight, and the rough places plains.

всsка дeбрь нап0лнитсz, и3 всsка горA и3 х0лмъ смири1тсz, и3 бyдутъ вс‰ стр0пwтнаz въ прaво, и3 џстраz въ пути6 гл†дки.

And the glory of the Lord shall appear, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God: for the Lord has spoken it.

И# kви1тсz слaва гDнz, и3 ќзритъ всsка пл0ть спcніе б9іе, ћкw гDь гlа.

The voice of one saying, Cry; and I said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.

Глaсъ вопію1щагw: возопjй. И# рек0хъ: что2 возопію2; всsка пл0ть сёно, и3 всsка слaва человёча ћкw цвётъ травнhй:

The grass withers, and the flower fades:

и4зсше травA, и3 цвётъ tпадE,

⁸

but the word of our God abides for ever.

гlг0лъ же бGа нaшегw пребывaетъ во вёки.

O thou that bringest glad tidings to Zion, go up on the high mountain; lift up thy voice with strength, thou that bringest glad tidings to Jerusalem; lift it up, fear not; say unto the cities of Juda, Behold your God!

На г0ру выс0ку взhди, благовэствyzй сіHну, возвhси крёпостію глaсъ тв0й, благовэствyzй їеrли1му: возвhсите, не б0йтесz. Рцы2 градHмъ ї{динымъ:

Behold the Lord! The Lord is coming with strength, and his arm is with power: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

сE, бGъ вaшъ, сE, гDь, гDь со крёпостію и4детъ, и3 мhшца є3гw2 со влaстію: сE, мздA є3гw2 съ ни1мъ, и3 дёло є3гw2 пред8 ни1мъ:

He shall tend his flock as a shepherd, and he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and shall soothe them that are with young.

¹¹

ѓки пaстырь ўпасeтъ пaству свою2, и3 мhшцею своeю соберeтъ ѓгнцы, и3 и3мyщыz во ўтр0бэ ўтёшитъ.

Who has measured the water in his hand, and the heaven with a span, and all the earth in a handful? Who has weighed the mountains in scales, and the forests in a balance?

¹²

Кто2 и3змёри г0рстію в0ду и3 нeбо пsдію и3 всю2 зeмлю г0рстію; кто2 постaви г0ры въ мёрилэ и3 х0лмы въ вёсэ;

Who has known the mind of the Lord? and who has been his counsellor, to instruct him?

кто2 ўразумЁ ќмъ гDень, и3 кто2 совётникъ є3мY бhсть, и4же научaетъ є3го2;

¹⁴

Or with whom has he taken counsel, and he has instructed him? or who has taught him judgment, or who has taught him the way of understanding;

¹⁴

и3ли2 съ ки1мъ совётова, и3 настaви и5; и3ли2 кто2 показA є3мY сyдъ; и3ли2 пyть разумёніz кто2 показA є3мY; и3ли2 кто2 прeжде дадE є3мY, и3 воздaстсz є3мY;

since all the nations are counted as a drop from a bucket, and as the turning of a balance, and shall be counted as spittle?

¹⁵

Ѓще вси2 kзhцы, ѓки кaплz t кaди, и3 ћкw претzжeніе вёса вмэни1шасz, и3 ѓки плюновeніе вмэнsтсz;

And Libanus is not enough to burn, nor all beasts enough for a whole-burnt offering:

Дубрaва же лівaнова не дов0лна на сожжeніе, и3 вс‰ четверонHгаz не довHлна на всесожжeніе.

¹⁷

and all the nations are as nothing, and counted as nothing.

¹⁷

И# вси2 kзhцы ћкw ничт0же сyть, и3 въ ничт0же вмэни1шасz.

To whom have ye compared the Lord? and with what likeness have ye compared him?

¹⁸

КомY ўпод0бисте гDа, и3 к0ему под0бію ўпод0бисте є3го2;

¹⁹

Has not the artificer made an image, or the goldsmith having melted gold, gilt it over, and made it a similitude?

¹⁹

Е#дA w4бразъ сотвори2 древодёлатель, и3ли2 злaтарь сліsвъ злaто позлати2 є3го2, и3ли2 под0біемъ сотвори2 є3го2;

For the artificer chooses out a wood that will not rot, and will wisely enquire how he shall set up his image, and that so that it should not be moved.

²⁰

Дрeво бо негнію1щее и3збирaетъ древодёлатель и3 мyдрэ и4щетъ, кaкw постaвитъ w4бразъ є3гw2, и3 да не поколeблетсz.

²¹

Will ye not know? will ye not hear? has it not been told you of old? Have ye not known the foundations of the earth?

²¹

Не разумёсте ли, не слhшасте ли, не возвэсти1сz ли вaмъ и3спeрва; не разумёсте ли њснов†ніz земли2;

²²

It is he that comprehends the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants in it are as grasshoppers; he that set up the heaven as a chamber, and stretched it out as a tent to dwell in:

Содержaй крyгъ земли2, и3 живyщіи на нeй ѓки прyзи: постaвивый нeбо ћкw камaру и3 простeръ є5, ћкw ски1нію њбитaти:

he that appoints princes to rule as nothing, and has made the earth as nothing.

²³

даsй кн‰зи ѓки ничт0же владёти, и3 зeмлю ѓки ничт0же сотвори2.

²⁴

For they shall not plant, neither shall they sow, neither shall their root be fixed in the ground: he has blown upon them, and they are withered, and a storm shall carry them away like sticks.

²⁴

Не насадsтъ бо, нижE насёютъ, и3 не вкорени1тсz въ земли2 корeніе и4хъ: дхнY на ни1хъ вётръ, и3 и3зсх0ша, и3 бyрz ѓки стeбліе в0зметъ и5хъ.

Now then to whom have ye compared me, that I may be exalted? saith the Holy One.

²⁵

Нн7э u5бо комy мz ўпод0бисте, и3 вознесyсz; речE с™hй.

²⁶

Lift up your eyes on high, and see, who has displayed all these things? even he that brings forth his host by number: he shall call them all by name by means of his great glory, and by the power of his might: nothing has escaped thee.

Воззри1те на высотY nчи1ма вaшима и3 ви1дите, кто2 сотвори2 сі‰ вс‰: носsй по числY ќтварь свою2, и3 вс‰ по и4мени прозовeтъ t мн0гіz слaвы и3 въ держaвэ крёпости своеS: ничт0же ўтаи1сz t тебє2.

For say not thou, O Jacob, and why hast thou spoken, Israel, saying, My way is hid from God, and my God has taken away my judgment, and has departed?

²⁷

Е#дa бо речeши, їaкwве, и3 что2 глаг0лалъ є3си2, ї}лю: ўтаи1сz пyть м0й t бGа, и3 бGъ м0й сyдъ tS, и3 tступи2;

²⁸

And now, hast thou not known? hast thou not heard? the eternal God, the God that formed the ends of the earth, shall not hunger, nor be weary, and there is no searching of his understanding.

²⁸

И# нн7э не ўразумёлъ ли є3си2; ни ли2 слhшалъ є3си2; бGъ вёчный, бGъ ўстр0ивый концы6 земли2, не взaлчетъ, нижE ўтруди1тсz, нижE є4сть и3з8wбрётеніе премdрости є3гw2,

He gives strength to the hungry, and sorrow to them that are not suffering.

²⁹

даsй ѓлчущымъ крёпость и3 неболёзнєннымъ печaль.

³⁰

For the young men shall hunger, and the youths shall be weary, and the choice men shall be powerless:

³⁰

Взaлчутъ бо ю3нёйшіи, и3 ўтрудsтсz ю4нwты, и3 и3збрaнніи не крёпцы бyдутъ:

³¹

but they that wait on God shall renew their strength; they shall put forth new feathers like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not hunger.

³¹

терпsщіи же гDа и3змэнsтъ крёпость, њкрылaтэютъ ѓки nрли2, потекyтъ и3 не ўтрудsтсz, п0йдутъ и3 не взaлчутъ.
