Then Job answered and said,

Tвэщaвъ же јwвъ, речE:

How long will ye vex my soul, and destroy me with words? only know that the Lord has dealt with me thus.

²

док0лэ притрyдну творитE дyшу мою2 и3 низлагaете мS словесы2; ўразумёйте т0кмw, ћкw гDь сотвори1 мz си1це.

³

Ye speak against me; ye do not feel for me, but bear hard upon me.

³

Клевeщете на мS, не стыдsщесz менє2 належитe ми.

⁴

Yea verily, I have erred in truth, (but the error abides with myself) in having spoken words which it was not right to speak; and my words err, and are unseasonable.

Бyди, ћкw вои1стинну ѓзъ прельсти1хсz, и3 ў менє2 водворsетсz погрэшeніе, глаг0лати словесA, ±же не подобaше, словесa же мо‰ погрэшaютъ, и3 не во врeмz:

⁵

But alas! for ye magnify yourselves against me, and insult me with reproach.

⁵

бyди же, ћкw на мS величaетесz, наскакaете же ми2 поношeніемъ:

⁶

Know then that it is the Lord that has troubled me, and has raised his bulwark against me.

⁶

разумёйте u5бо, ћкw гDь є4сть и4же смzтe мz и3 њгрaду свою2 на мS вознесE.

⁷

Behold, I laugh at reproach; I will not speak: or I will cry out, but there is nowhere judgment.

СE, смэю1сz поношeнію, не возглаг0лю: возопію2, и3 нигдёже сyдъ.

⁸

I am fenced round about, and can by no means escape: he has set darkness before my face.

⁸

W$крестъ њграждeнъ є4смь и3 не могY прейти2: пред8 лицeмъ мои1мъ тмY положи2,

And he has stripped me of my glory, and has taken the crown from my head.

слaву же съ менє2 совлечE и3 tS вэнeцъ t главы2 моеS:

He has torn me round about, and I am gone: and he has cut off my hope like a tree.

¹⁰

растерзa мz w4крестъ, и3 tид0хъ: посэчe же ћкw дрeво надeжду мою2.

¹¹

And he has dreadfully handled me in anger, and has counted me for an enemy.

¹¹

Лю1тэ же гнёва ўпотреби2 на мS и3 возмнё мz ћкw врагA.

¹²

His troops also came upon me with one accord, liers in wait compassed my ways.

¹²

Вкyпэ же пріид0ша и3скушє1ніz є3гw2 на мS, на путeхъ же мои1хъ њбыд0ша мS навBтницы.

¹³

My brethren have stood aloof from me; they have recognised strangers rather than me: and my friends have become pitiless.

¹³

Брaтіz мо‰ tступи1ша t менє2, познaша чужди1хъ пaче менє2, и3 дрyзіе мои2 неми1лостиви бhша:

¹⁴

My nearest of kin have not acknowledged me, and they that knew my name, have forgotten me.

¹⁴

не снабдёша мS бли1жніи мои2, и3 вёдzщіи и4мz моE забhша мS.

¹⁵

As for my household, and my maid-servants, I was a stranger before them.

¹⁵

Сосёди д0му и3 рабы6ни мо‰, (ћкw) и3ноплемeнникъ бhхъ пред8 ни1ми:

¹⁶

I called my servant, and he hearkened not; and my mouth intreated him.

¹⁶

рабA моего2 звaхъ, и3 не послyша, ўстa же мо‰ молsхусz:

¹⁷

And I besought my wife, and earnestly intreated the sons of my concubines.

¹⁷

и3 проси1хъ женY мою2, призывaхъ же ласкaz сhны подл0жницъ мои1хъ:

¹⁸

But they rejected me for ever; whenever I rise up, they speak against me.

¹⁸

nни1 же менE въ вёкъ tри1нуша, є3гдA востaну, на мS глаг0лютъ.

¹⁹

They that saw me abhorred me: the very persons whom I had loved, rose up against me.

¹⁹

Гнушaхусz менє2 ви1дzщіи мS, и3 и5хже люби1хъ, востaша на мS.

²⁰

My flesh is corrupt under my skin, and my bones are held in my teeth.

²⁰

Въ к0жи моeй согни1ша плHти мо‰, кHсти же мо‰ въ зубёхъ содержaтсz.

²¹

Pity me, pity me, O friends; for it is the hand of the Lord that has touched me.

²¹

Поми1луйте мS, поми1луйте мS, q, дрyзіе! рукa бо гDнz коснyвшаzсz ми2 є4сть.

²²

Wherefore do ye persecute me as also the Lord does, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

²²

Почт0 мz г0ните ћкоже и3 гDь; t пл0тей же мои1хъ не насыщaетесz;

²³

For oh that my words were written, and that they were recorded in a book for ever,

²³

Кт0 бо дaлъ бы, да напи1шутсz словесA мо‰, и3 положaтсz w4наz въ кни1зэ во вёкъ;

²⁴

with an iron pen and lead, or graven in the rocks!

²⁴

и3 на дщи1цэ желёзнэ и3 џловэ, и3ли2 на кaменіихъ и3зваsютсz;

²⁵

For I know that he is eternal who is about to deliver me,

²⁵

Вёмъ бо, ћкw пrносyщенъ є4сть, и4же и4мать и3скупи1ти мS,

²⁶

and to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these sufferings: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;

²⁶

(и3) на земли2 воскреси1ти к0жу мою2 терпsщую сі‰, t гDа бо ми2 сі‰ соверши1шасz,

²⁷

which I am conscious of in myself, which mine eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in my bosom.

²⁷

±же ѓзъ въ себЁ свёмъ, ±же џчи мои2 ви1дэста, ґ не и4нъ: вс‰ же ми2 соверши1шасz въ нёдрэ.

²⁸

But if ye shall also say, What shall we say before him, and so find the root of the matter in him?

²⁸

Ѓще же и3 речeте: что2 речeмъ проти1ву є3мY; и3 к0рень словесE њбрsщемъ въ нeмъ.

²⁹

Do ye also beware of deceit: for wrath will come upon transgressors; and then shall they know where their substance is.

²⁹

Ўб0йтесz же и3 вы2 t мечA: ћрость бо на беззакHнныz нaйдетъ, и3 тогдA ўви1дzтъ, гдЁ є4сть и4хъ вещество2.
