He has taken me, and led me away into darkness, and not into light.

поѧ́тъ мѧ̀ и҆ ѿведе́ мѧ во тмꙋ̀, а҆ не во свѣ́тъ.

Nay, against me has he turned his hand all the day.

Ѻ҆ба́че на мѧ̀ ѡ҆братѝ рꙋ́кꙋ свою̀ ве́сь де́нь,

He has made old my flesh and my skin; he has broken my bones.

Бе́ѳъ. ѡ҆бетшѝ пло́ть мою̀ и҆ ко́жꙋ мою̀, кѡ́сти моѧ̑ сокрꙋшѝ:
5
Beth. He has built against me, and compassed my head, and brought travail upon me.

соградѝ на мѧ̀ и҆ ѡ҆б̾ѧ̀ главꙋ̀ мою̀ и҆ оу҆трꙋдѝ,
6
He has set me in dark places, as them that have long been dead.
6
въ те́мныхъ посади́ мѧ, ꙗ҆́коже мє́ртвыѧ вѣ́ка:
7
He has builded against me, and I cannot come forth: he has made my brazen chain heavy.

Гі́мель. соградѝ на мѧ̀, и҆ не и҆зы́дꙋ, ѡ҆тѧготѝ ѡ҆кѡ́вы моѧ̑,
8
Gimel. Yea, though I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.

и҆ є҆гда̀ воскричꙋ̀ и҆ возопїю̀, заградѝ моли́твꙋ мою̀:
9
Daleth. He has built up my ways, he has hedged my paths;
9
возградѝ пꙋти̑ моѧ̑, заградѝ стєзѝ моѧ̑, возмѧтѐ.
10
he has troubled me, as a she-bear lying in wait: he is to me as a lion in secret places.

Да́леѳъ. Бы́сть ꙗ҆́кѡ медвѣ́дь ловѧ́й, (присѣдѧ́й мѝ) ꙗ҆́кѡ ле́въ въ сокрове́нныхъ,
11
He pursued me after I departed, and brought me to a stand: he has utterly ruined me.

гна̀ ѿстꙋпи́вшаго, и҆ оу҆поко́и мѧ̀, положи́ мѧ поги́бша:
12
He. He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
12
напрѧжѐ лꙋ́къ своѝ, и҆ поста́ви мѧ̀ ꙗ҆́кѡ зна́менїе на стрѣлѧ́нїе,
13
He has caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
13
Гѐ. пꙋстѝ въ лѧ́двїѧ моѧ̑ стрѣ́лы тꙋ́ла своегѡ̀.
14
I became a laughing-stock to all my people; and their song all the day.
14
Бы́хъ въ смѣ́хъ всѣ̑мъ лю́демъ мои̑мъ, пѣ́снь и҆́хъ ве́сь де́нь.
15
Vau. He has filled me with bitterness, he has drenched me with gall.
15
Насы́ти мѧ̀ го́рести, напои́ мѧ же́лчи
16
And he has dashed out my teeth with gravel, he has fed me with ashes.
16
Ва́ѵъ. и҆ и҆з̾ѧ̀ ка́менемъ зꙋ́бы моѧ̑, напита́ мѧ пе́пеломъ
17
He has also removed my soul from peace: I forgot prosperity.
17
и҆ ѿри́нꙋ ѿ ми́ра дꙋ́шꙋ мою̀. Забы́хъ благѡты̀
18
Therefore my success has perished, and my hope from the Lord.
18
и҆ рѣ́хъ: поги́бе побѣ́да моѧ̀ и҆ наде́жда моѧ̀ ѿ гдⷭ҇а.
19
Zain. I remembered by reason of my poverty, and because of persecution my bitterness and gall shall be remembered;

За́їнъ. Помѧнѝ нищетꙋ̀ мою̀ и҆ гоне́нїе моѐ.
20
and my soul shall meditate with me.
20
Го́ресть и҆ же́лчь мою̀ помѧнꙋ̀, и҆ стꙋжи́тъ во мнѣ̀ дꙋша̀ моѧ̀.
21
This will I lay up in my heart, therefore will I endure.
21
Сїѧ̑ положꙋ̀ въ се́рдцы мое́мъ, сегѡ̀ ра́ди потерплю̀.
22
Heth. It is the mercies of the Lord, that he has not failed me, because his compassions are not exhausted. Pity us, O Lord, early every month: for we are not brought to an end, because his compassions are not exhausted.

И҆́ѳъ. Млⷭ҇ть гдⷭ҇нѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ не ѡ҆ста́ви менѐ, не сконча́шасѧ бо щедрѡ́ты є҆гѡ̀: пребыва́ѧй во оу҆́трїихъ, поми́лꙋй, гдⷭ҇и, ꙗ҆́кѡ не погибо́хомъ, не сконча́шасѧ бо щедрѡ́ты твоѧ̑.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
23
Нѡ́ваѧ во оу҆́трїихъ, мно́га є҆́сть вѣ́ра твоѧ̀.
24
The Lord is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I wait for him.
24
Ча́сть моѧ̀ гдⷭ҇ь, речѐ дꙋша̀ моѧ̀: сегѡ̀ ра́ди пождꙋ̀ є҆гѡ̀.
25
Teth. The Lord is good to them that wait for him: the soul which shall seek him
25
Те́ѳъ. Бл҃гъ гдⷭ҇ь надѣ́ющымсѧ на́нь:
26
is good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation of the Lord.
26
дꙋшѝ и҆́щꙋщей є҆гѡ̀ бла́го (є҆́сть), и҆ надѣ́ющейсѧ съ молча́нїемъ спⷭ҇нїѧ бж҃їѧ.
27
Teth. It is good for a man when he bears a yoke in his youth.
27
Бла́го є҆́сть мꙋ́жꙋ, є҆гда̀ во́зметъ ꙗ҆ре́мъ въ ю҆́ности свое́й:
28
He will sit alone, and be silent, because he has borne it upon him.
28
І҆ѡ́дъ. сѧ́детъ на є҆ди́нѣ и҆ оу҆мо́лкнетъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ воздви́гнꙋ на сѧ̀:
30
Jod. He will give his cheek to him that smites him: he will be filled full with reproaches.
29
положи́тъ во пра́хѣ оу҆ста̀ своѧ̑, не́гли ка́кѡ бꙋ́детъ наде́жда:
31
For the Lord will not reject for ever.
30
пода́стъ лани́тꙋ свою̀ бїю́щемꙋ, насы́титсѧ оу҆кори́знъ.
32
Chaph. For he that has brought down will pity, and that according to the abundance of his mercy.
31
Ка́фъ. Ꙗ҆́кѡ не во вѣ́къ ѿри́нетъ гдⷭ҇ь,
33
He has not answered in anger from his heart, though he has brought low the children of a man.
32
ꙗ҆́кѡ смири́вый поми́лꙋетъ по мно́жествꙋ млⷭ҇ти своеѧ̀,
34
Lamed. To bring down under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
33
не ѿри́нꙋ ѿ срⷣца своегѡ̀ и҆ смирѝ сы́ны мꙋ́жескїѧ.
35
to turn aside the judgment of a man before the face of the Most High,
34
Ла́медъ. Є҆́же смири́ти под̾ но́зѣ є҆гѡ̀ всѧ̑ оу҆́зники земны̑ѧ,
36
to condemn a man unjustly in his judgment, the Lord has not given commandment.
35
є҆́же оу҆клони́ти сꙋ́дъ мꙋ́жа пред̾ лице́мъ вы́шнѧгѡ,
37
Who has thus spoken, and it has come to pass? the Lord has not commanded it.
36
ѡ҆сꙋди́ти человѣ́ка, внегда̀ сꙋди́тисѧ є҆мꙋ̀, гдⷭ҇ь не речѐ.
38
Out of the mouth of the Most High there shall not come forth evil and good.
37
Ме́мъ. Кто́ є҆сть то́й, и҆́же речѐ, и҆ бы́ти, гдⷭ҇ꙋ не повелѣ́вшꙋ;
39
Mem. Why should a living man complain, a man concerning his sin?
38
И҆з̾ оу҆́стъ вы́шнѧгѡ не и҆зы́детъ ѕло̀ и҆ добро̀.
40
Nun. Our way has been searched out and examined, and we will turn to the Lord.
39
Что̀ возро́пщетъ человѣ́къ живꙋ́щь, мꙋ́жъ ѡ҆ грѣсѣ̀ свое́мъ;
41
Let us lift up our hearts with our hands to the lofty One in heaven.
40
Нꙋ́нъ. И҆зыска́сѧ пꙋ́ть на́шъ и҆ и҆спыта́сѧ, и҆ ѡ҆брати́мсѧ ко гдⷭ҇ꙋ.
42
We have sinned, we have transgressed; and thou hast not pardoned.
41
Воздви́гнемъ сердца̀ на̑ша съ рꙋка́ми къ бг҃ꙋ высо́комꙋ на нб҃сѝ.
43
Samech. Thou hast visited us in wrath, and driven us away: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.
42
Мы̀ согрѣши́хомъ и҆ нече́ствовахомъ, сегѡ̀ ра́ди не поми́ловалъ є҆сѝ:
44
Thou hast veiled thyself with a cloud because of prayer, that I might be blind,
43
Са́мехъ. покры́лъ є҆сѝ ꙗ҆́ростїю и҆ ѿгна́лъ є҆сѝ на́съ, оу҆би́лъ и҆ не пощадѣ́лъ є҆сѝ:
45
and be cast off. Ain. Thou hast set us alone in the midst of the nations.
44
покры́лсѧ є҆сѝ ѡ҆́блакомъ, да не до́йдетъ къ тебѣ̀ моли́тва,
46
All our enemies have opened their mouth against us.
45
сомжи́ти ѻ҆́чи моѝ и҆ ѿри́нꙋти, положи́лъ є҆сѝ на́съ посредѣ̀ люді́й.
47
Fear and wrath are come upon us, suspense and destruction.
46
А҆́їнъ. Ѿверзо́ша на ны̀ оу҆ста̀ своѧ̑ всѝ вразѝ на́ши.
48
Mine eye shall pour down torrents of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
47
Стра́хъ и҆ оу҆́жасъ бы́сть на́мъ, надме́нїе и҆ сокрꙋше́нїе:
49
Phe. Mine eye is drowned with tears, and I will not be silent, so that there shall be no rest,
48
и҆схѡ́дища вѡдна́ѧ и҆злїе́тъ ѻ҆́ко моѐ ѡ҆ сокрꙋше́нїи дще́ре люді́й мои́хъ.
50
until the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
49
Фѝ. Ѻ҆́ко моѐ погрѧ́знꙋ: и҆ не оу҆мо́лкнꙋ, є҆́же не бы́ти ѡ҆слабле́нїю,
51
Mine eye shall prey upon my soul, because of all the daughters of the city.
50
до́ндеже приклони́тсѧ и҆ оу҆ви́дитъ гдⷭ҇ь съ нб҃сѐ.
52
Tsade. The fowlers chased me as a sparrow, all mine enemies destroyed my life in a pit without cause,
51
Ѻ҆́ко моѐ закрыва́етсѧ ѡ҆ дꙋшѝ мое́й, па́че всѣ́хъ дще́рей гра́да.
53
and laid a stone upon me.
52
Ца́ди. Ловѧ́ще оу҆лови́ша мѧ̀ ꙗ҆́кѡ вра́бїѧ вразѝ моѝ тꙋ́не:
54
Water flowed over my head: I said, I am cut off.
53
оу҆мори́ша въ ро́вѣ жи́знь мою̀ и҆ возложи́ша на мѧ̀ ка́мень.
55
Koph. I called upon thy name, O Lord, out of the lowest dungeon.
54
Возлїѧ́сѧ вода̀ вы́ше главы̀ моеѧ̀: рѣ́хъ: ѿринове́нъ є҆́смь.
56
Thou heardest my voice: close not thine ears to my supplication.
55
Кѡ́фъ. Призва́хъ и҆́мѧ твоѐ, гдⷭ҇и, и҆з̾ ро́ва преиспо́днѧгѡ:
57
Thou drewest nigh to my help: in the day wherein I called upon thee thou saidst to me, Fear not.
56
гла́съ мо́й оу҆слы́шалъ є҆сѝ: не покры́й оу҆ше́съ твои́хъ на мольбꙋ̀ мою̀:
58
Rechs. O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.
57
на по́мощь мою̀ прибли́жилсѧ є҆сѝ, въ де́нь, въ ѻ҆́ньже призва́хъ тѧ̀, ре́клъ мѝ є҆сѝ: не бо́йсѧ.
59
Thou hast seen, O Lord, my troubles: thou hast judged my cause.
58
Ре́шъ. Сꙋди́лъ є҆сѝ, гдⷭ҇и, прю̀ дꙋшѝ моеѧ̀, и҆зба́вилъ є҆сѝ жи́знь мою̀:
60
Thou hast seen all their vengeance, thou hast looked on all their devices against me.
59
ви́дѣлъ є҆сѝ, гдⷭ҇и, смѧтє́нїѧ моѧ̑, разсꙋди́лъ є҆сѝ сꙋ́дъ мо́й:
61
Chsen. Thou hast heard their reproach and all their devices against me;
60
вѣ́си всѐ ѿмще́нїе и҆́хъ и҆ всѧ̑ помышлє́нїѧ и҆́хъ на мѧ̀.
62
the lips of them that rose up against me, and their plots against me all the day;
61
Ши́нъ. Слы́шалъ є҆сѝ оу҆кѡри́зны и҆́хъ, всѧ̑ совѣ́ты и҆́хъ на мѧ̀,
63
their sitting down and their rising up: look thou upon their eyes.
62
оу҆стнѣ̀ востаю́щихъ на мѧ̀ и҆ поꙋче́нїе и҆́хъ на мѧ̀ ве́сь де́нь,
64
Thou wilt render them a recompence, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
63
сѣдѣ́нїе и҆́хъ и҆ воста́нїе и҆́хъ: при́зри на ѻ҆́чи и҆́хъ.
65
Thau. Thou wilt give them as a covering, the grief of my heart.
64
Ѳа́ѵъ. Возда́си и҆̀мъ, гдⷭ҇и, воздаѧ́нїе по дѣлѡ́мъ рꙋкꙋ̀ и҆́хъ:
66
Thou wilt persecute them in anger, and wilt consume them from under the heaven, O Lord.
65
возда́си и҆̀мъ застꙋпле́нїе, сердца̀ моегѡ̀ трꙋ́дъ.
