Alleluia. I am well pleased, because the Lord will hearken to the voice of my supplication.

Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore will I call upon him while I live.

Возлюби́хъ, я́ко услы́шитъ Госпо́дь гла́съ моле́нія моєго́,

The pangs of death compassed me; the dangers of hell found me: I found affliction and sorrow.

я́ко приклони́ у́хо Своє́ мнѣ́: и во дни́ моя́ призову́.

Then I called on the name of the Lord: O Lord, deliver my soul.

Объя́ша мя́ болѣ́зни сме́ртныя, бѣды́ а́довы обрѣто́ша мя́: ско́рбь и болѣ́знь обрѣто́хъ–

The Lord is merciful and righteous; yea, our God has pity.

⁴

–и и́мя Госпо́дне призва́хъ: 4о, Го́споди, изба́ви ду́шу мою́:–

The Lord preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he delivered me.

⁵

–ми́лостивъ Госпо́дь и пра́веденъ, и Бо́гъ на́шъ ми́луєтъ.

⁷

Return to thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with thee.

⁶

5Храня́й младе́нцы Госпо́дь: смири́хся, и спасе́ мя.

⁸

For he has delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

⁷

6Обрати́ся, душе́ моя́, въ поко́й тво́й, я́ко Госпо́дь благодѣ́йствова тя́:

I shall be well-pleasing before the Lord in the land of the living.

⁸

7я́ко изъя́тъ ду́шу мою́ от сме́рти, о́чи мои́ от сле́зъ и но́зѣ мои́ от поползнове́нія.
