Turn not man back to his low place, whereas thou saidst, Return, ye sons of men?

Пре́жде да́же гора́мъ не бы́ти и созда́тися земли́ и вселе́ннѣй, и от вѣ́ка и до вѣ́ка Ты́ єси́.

For a thousand years in thy sight are as the yesterday which is past, and as a watch in the night.

Не отврати́ человѣ́ка во смире́ніє, и ре́клъ єси́: обрати́теся, сы́нове человѣ́честіи.

Years shall be vanity to them: let the morning pass away as grass.

Я́ко ты́сяща лѣ́тъ предъ очи́ма Твои́ма, Го́споди, я́ко де́нь вчера́шній, и́же ми́мо и́де, и стра́жа нощна́я.

In the morning let it flower, and pass away: in the evening let it droop, let it be withered and dried up.

Уничиже́нія и́хъ лѣ́та бу́дутъ: *у́тро я́ко трава́ ми́мо и́детъ, у́тро процвѣте́тъ и пре́йдетъ: на ве́черъ отпаде́тъ, ожестѣ́єтъ и и́зсхнетъ:

For we have perished in thine anger, and in thy wrath we have been troubled.

я́ко изчезо́хомъ гнѣ́вомъ Твои́мъ, и я́ростію Твоє́ю смути́хомся.
8
Thou hast set our transgressions before thee: our age is in the light of thy countenance.

Положи́лъ єси́ беззако́нія на́ша предъ Тобо́ю, вѣ́къ на́шъ въ просвѣще́ніє лица́ Твоєго́.
9
For all our days are gone, and we have passed away in thy wrath: our years have spun out their tale as a spider.

Я́ко вси́ дні́є на́ши оскудѣ́ша, и гнѣ́вомъ Твои́мъ изчезо́хомъ: 10лѣ́та на́ша я́ко паучи́на поуча́хуся:–

As for the days of our years, in them are seventy years; and if men should be in strength, eighty years: and the greater part of them would be labour and trouble; for weakness overtakes us, and we shall be chastened.

–дні́є лѣ́тъ на́шихъ въ ни́хже се́дмьдесятъ лѣ́тъ, а́ще же въ си́лахъ, о́смьдесятъ лѣ́тъ, и мно́жає и́хъ тру́дъ и болѣ́знь: я́ко пріи́де кро́тость на ны́, и нака́жемся.

Who knows the power of thy wrath?

Кто́ вѣ́сть держа́ву гнѣ́ва Твоєго́, и от стра́ха Твоєго́ я́рость Твою́ изчести́?

and who knows how to number his days because of the fear of thy wrath? So manifest thy right hand, and those that are instructed in wisdom in the heart.

Десни́цу Твою́ та́ко скажи́ ми, и окова́нныя {и нака́занныя} се́рдцемъ въ му́дрости.

Return, O Lord, how long? and be intreated concerning thy servants.

Обрати́ся, Го́споди, доко́лѣ? И умоле́нъ бу́ди на рабы́ Твоя́.
14
We have been satisfied in the morning with thy mercy; and we did exult and rejoice:

Испо́лнихомся зау́тра ми́лости Твоєя́, Го́споди, и возра́довахомся и возвесели́хомся:
15
let us rejoice in all our days, in return for the days wherein thou didst afflict us, the years wherein we saw evil.
15
во вся́ дни́ на́шя возвесели́хомся, за дни́, въ ня́же смири́лъ ны́ єси́, лѣ́та, въ ня́же ви́дѣхомъ зла́я.

And look upon thy servants, and upon thy works; and guide their children.
16
И при́зри на рабы́ Твоя́ и на дѣла́ Твоя́, и наста́ви сы́ны и́хъ.
17
And let the brightness of the Lord our God be upon us: and do thou direct for us the works of our hands.

И бу́ди свѣ́тлость Го́спода Бо́га на́шего на на́съ, и дѣла́ ру́къ на́шихъ испра́ви на на́съ, и дѣ́ло ру́къ на́шихъ испра́ви.
