Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to the saints that are at Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2
2
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3
3
Блгⷭ҇ве́нъ бг҃ъ и҆ ѻ҆ц҃ъ гдⷭ҇а на́шегѡ і҆и҃са хрⷭ҇та̀, блгⷭ҇ви́вый на́съ всѧ́цѣмъ блгⷭ҇ве́нїемъ дꙋхо́внымъ въ нбⷭ҇ныхъ ѡ҆ хрⷭ҇тѣ̀, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:
4
4
ꙗ҆́коже и҆збра̀ на́съ въ не́мъ пре́жде сложе́нїѧ мі́ра, бы́ти на́мъ ст҃ы̑мъ и҆ непорѡ́чнымъ пред̾ ни́мъ въ любвѝ, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love:
5
5
пре́жде наре́къ на́съ во оу҆сыновле́нїе і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ въ него̀, по бл҃говоле́нїю хотѣ́нїѧ своегѡ̀, having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6
6
въ похвалꙋ̀ сла́вы блгⷣти своеѧ̀, є҆́юже ѡ҆блгⷣтѝ на́съ ѡ҆ возлю́бленнѣмъ: to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the Beloved:
7
7
ѡ҆ не́мже и҆́мамы и҆збавле́нїе кро́вїю є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ѡ҆ставле́нїе прегрѣше́нїи, по бога́тствꙋ блгⷣти є҆гѡ̀, in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
8
8
ю҆́же преꙋмно́жилъ є҆́сть въ на́съ во всѧ́цѣй премꙋ́дрости и҆ ра́зꙋмѣ, which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
9
9
сказа́въ на́мъ та́йнꙋ во́ли своеѧ̀ по бл҃говоле́нїю своемꙋ̀, є҆́же пре́жде положѝ въ не́мъ, making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him
10
10
въ смотре́нїе и҆сполне́нїѧ време́нъ, возглави́ти всѧ́чєскаѧ ѡ҆ хрⷭ҇тѣ̀, ꙗ҆̀же на нб҃сѣ́хъ и҆ ꙗ҆̀же на землѝ въ не́мъ: unto a dispensation of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, I say,
11
11
въ не́мже и҆ наслѣ̑дницы сотвори́хомсѧ, пре́жде нарече́ни бы́вше по прозрѣ́нїю бж҃їю всѧ̑ дѣ́йствꙋющагѡ по совѣ́тꙋ во́ли своеѧ̀, in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his will;
12
12
ꙗ҆́кѡ бы́ти на́мъ въ похвале́нїе сла́вы є҆гѡ̀, пре́жде оу҆пова́вшымъ во хрⷭ҇та̀: to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:
13
13
въ не́мже и҆ вы̀, слы́шавше сло́во и҆́стины, бл҃говѣствова́нїе спⷭ҇нїѧ на́шегѡ, въ не́мже и҆ вѣ́ровавше зна́менастесѧ дх҃омъ ѡ҆бѣтова́нїѧ ст҃ы́мъ, in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14
14
и҆́же є҆́сть ѡ҆брꙋче́нїе наслѣ́дїѧ на́шегѡ, во и҆збавле́нїе снабдѣ́нїѧ, въ похвалꙋ̀ сла́вы є҆гѡ̀. who is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of God’s own possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15
15
For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which ye show toward all the saints,
16
16
(Заⷱ҇ ©и҃і҃.) не престаю̀ благодарѧ̀ ѡ҆ ва́съ, помина́нїе ѡ҆ ва́съ творѧ̀ въ моли́твахъ мои́хъ, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17
17
да бг҃ъ гдⷭ҇а на́шегѡ і҆и҃са хрⷭ҇та̀, ѻ҆ц҃ъ сла́вы, да́стъ ва́мъ дх҃а премꙋ́дрости и҆ ѿкрове́нїѧ, въ позна́нїе є҆гѡ̀, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
18
18
просвѣщє́нна ѻ҆чеса̀ се́рдца ва́шегѡ, ꙗ҆́кѡ оу҆вѣ́дѣти ва́мъ, ко́е є҆́сть оу҆пова́нїе зва́нїѧ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ ко́е бога́тство сла́вы достоѧ́нїѧ є҆гѡ̀ во ст҃ы́хъ, having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19
19
и҆ ко́е преспѣ́ющее вели́чество си́лы є҆гѡ̀ въ на́съ вѣ́рꙋющихъ по дѣ́йствꙋ держа́вы крѣ́пости є҆гѡ̀, and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
20
20
ю҆́же содѣ́ѧ ѡ҆ хрⷭ҇тѣ̀, воскреси́въ є҆го̀ ѿ ме́ртвыхъ и҆ посади́въ ѡ҆деснꙋ́ю себє̀ на нбⷭ҇ныхъ, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and he made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21
21
превы́ше всѧ́кагѡ нача́лства и҆ вла́сти и҆ си́лы и҆ госпо́дства, и҆ всѧ́кагѡ и҆́мене и҆менꙋ́емагѡ не то́чїю въ вѣ́цѣ се́мъ, но и҆ во грѧдꙋ́щемъ: far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22
22
и҆ всѧ̑ покорѝ под̾ но́зѣ є҆гѡ̀, и҆ того̀ дадѐ главꙋ̀ вы́ше всѣ́хъ цр҃кви, and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,
23
23
ꙗ҆́же є҆́сть тѣ́ло є҆гѡ̀, и҆сполне́нїе и҆сполнѧ́ющагѡ всѧ́чєскаѧ во всѣ́хъ. which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.

Chapter 2
1
1
And you did he make alive, when ye were dead in trespasses and sins,
2
2
въ ни́хже и҆ногда̀ ходи́сте по вѣ́кꙋ мі́ра сегѡ̀, по кнѧ́зю вла́сти воздꙋ́шныѧ, дꙋ́ха, и҆́же нн҃ѣ дѣ́йствꙋетъ въ сынѣ́хъ противле́нїѧ, wherein ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the powers of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience;
3
3
въ ни́хже и҆ мы̀ всѝ жи́хомъ и҆ногда̀ въ по́хотехъ пло́ти на́шеѧ, творѧ́ще во́лю пло́ти и҆ помышле́нїй, и҆ бѣ́хомъ є҆стество́мъ ча̑да гнѣ́ва, ꙗ҆́коже и҆ про́чїи: among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest—
4
4
бг҃ъ же, бога́тъ сы́й въ млⷭ҇ти, за премно́гꙋю любо́вь свою̀, є҆́юже возлюбѝ на́съ, but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5
5
и҆ сꙋ́щихъ на́съ ме́ртвыхъ прегрѣше́ньми, соѡживѝ хрⷭ҇то́мъ: блгⷣтїю є҆стѐ спасе́ни: even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),
6
6
и҆ съ ни́мъ воскр҃сѝ, и҆ спосадѝ на нбⷭ҇ныхъ во хрⷭ҇тѣ̀ і҆и҃сѣ, and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus:
7
7
да ꙗ҆ви́тъ въ вѣ́цѣхъ грѧдꙋ́щихъ преѕѣ́лное бога́тство блгⷣти своеѧ̀ бл҃госты́нею на на́съ ѡ҆ хрⷭ҇тѣ̀ і҆и҃сѣ. that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus:
8
8
Блгⷣтїю бо є҆стѐ спасе́ни чрез̾ вѣ́рꙋ: и҆ сїѐ не ѿ ва́съ, бж҃їй да́ръ: for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
9
9
не ѿ дѣ́лъ, да никто́же похва́литсѧ. not of works, that no man should glory.
10
10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them.
11
11
(Заⷱ҇.) Тѣ́мже помина́йте, ꙗ҆́кѡ вы̀, и҆̀же и҆ногда̀ ꙗ҆зы́цы во пло́ти, глаго́лемїи неѡбрѣ́занїе ѿ реко́магѡ ѡ҆брѣ́занїѧ во пло́ти, рꙋкотворе́ннагѡ, Wherefore remember that ye, once Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision, in the flesh, made by hands;
12
12
ꙗ҆́кѡ бѣ́сте во вре́мѧ ѻ҆́но без̾ хрⷭ҇та̀, ѿчꙋжде́ни житїѧ̀ і҆и҃лева и҆ чꙋ́жди ѿ завѣ̑тъ ѡ҆бѣтова́нїѧ, оу҆пова́нїѧ не и҆мꙋ́ще и҆ безбо́жни въ мі́рѣ: that ye were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
13
13
But now in Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ.
14
14
For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,
15
15
враждꙋ̀ пл҃тїю свое́ю, зако́нъ за́повѣдїй оу҆че́ньми оу҆праздни́въ, да ѻ҆́ба сози́ждетъ собо́ю во є҆ди́наго но́ваго человѣ́ка, творѧ̀ ми́ръ, having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace;
16
16
и҆ примири́тъ ѻ҆бои́хъ во є҆ди́нѣмъ тѣ́лѣ бг҃ови крⷭ҇то́мъ, оу҆би́въ враждꙋ̀ на не́мъ: and might reconcile them both in one body unto God through the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17
17
и҆ прише́дъ благовѣстѝ ми́ръ ва́мъ, да̑льнимъ и҆ бли̑жнимъ, and he came and preached peace to you that were far off, and to them that were nigh:
18
18
занѐ тѣ́мъ и҆́мамы приведе́нїе ѻ҆́бои во є҆ди́нѣмъ д©ѣ ко ѻ҆ц҃ꙋ̀. for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.
19
19
Тѣ́мже оу҆̀бо ктомꙋ̀ нѣ́сте стра́нни и҆ прише́лцы, но сожи́телє ст҃ы̑мъ и҆ прⷭ҇нїи бг҃ꙋ, So then ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God,
20
20
назда́ни бы́вше на ѡ҆снова́нїи а҆пⷭ҇лъ и҆ прⷪ҇рѡ́къ, сꙋ́щꙋ краеꙋго́лнꙋ самомꙋ̀ і҆и҃сꙋ хрⷭ҇тꙋ̀, being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone;
21
21
ѡ҆ не́мже всѧ́ко созда́нїе составлѧ́емо расте́тъ въ цр҃ковь ст҃ꙋ́ю ѡ҆ гдⷭ҇ѣ: in whom each several building, fitly framed together, groweth into a holy temple in the Lord;
22
22
ѡ҆ не́мже и҆ вы̀ созида́етесѧ въ жили́ще бж҃їе дх҃омъ. in whom ye also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

1
For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles—
2
2
А҆́ще оу҆́бѡ [поне́же] слы́шасте смотре́нїе блгⷣти бж҃їѧ да́нныѧ мнѣ̀ въ ва́съ, if so be that ye have heard of the dispensation of that grace of God which was given me to you-ward;
3
3
ꙗ҆́кѡ по ѿкрове́нїю сказа́сѧ мнѣ̀ та́йна, ꙗ҆́коже преднаписа́хъ вма́лѣ: how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words,
4
4
ѡ҆ не́мже [поели́кꙋ] мо́жете чтꙋ́ще разꙋмѣ́ти ра́зꙋмъ мо́й въ та́йнѣ хрⷭ҇то́вѣ, whereby, when ye read, ye can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ;
5
5
ꙗ҆́же во и҆нѣ́хъ ро́дѣхъ не сказа́сѧ сынѡ́мъ человѣ́чєскимъ, ꙗ҆́коже нн҃ѣ ѿкры́сѧ ст҃ы̑мъ є҆гѡ̀ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ и҆ прⷪ҇ро́кѡмъ дх҃омъ ст҃ы́мъ: which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;
6
6
(ꙗ҆́кѡ) бы́ти ꙗ҆зы́кѡмъ снаслѣ́дникѡмъ и҆ стѣле́сникѡмъ и҆ сприча́стникѡмъ ѡ҆бѣтова́нїѧ є҆гѡ̀ ѡ҆ хрⷭ҇тѣ̀ і҆и҃сѣ, бл҃говѣствова́нїемъ, to wit, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise in Christ through the gospel,
7
7
є҆мꙋ́же бы́хъ слꙋжи́тель по да́рꙋ блгⷣти бж҃їѧ, да́нныѧ мнѣ̀ по дѣ́йствꙋ си́лы є҆гѡ̀. whereof I became a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.
8
8
(Заⷱ҇ ©к҃г҃.) Мнѣ̀ ме́ншемꙋ всѣ́хъ ст҃ы́хъ дана̀ бы́сть блгⷣть сїѧ̀, во ꙗ҆зы́цѣхъ бл҃говѣсти́ти неизслѣ́дованное бога́тство хрⷭ҇то́во Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9
9
и҆ просвѣти́ти всѣ́хъ, что̀ є҆́сть смотре́нїе та́йны сокрове́нныѧ ѿ вѣкѡ́въ въ бз҃ѣ, созда́вшемъ всѧ́чєскаѧ і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ, and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;
10
10
да ска́жетсѧ нн҃ѣ нача́лѡмъ и҆ власте́мъ на нбⷭ҇ныхъ цр҃ковїю многоразли́чнаѧ премⷣрость бж҃їѧ, to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11
11
по предложе́нїю вѣ̑къ, є҆́же сотворѝ ѡ҆ хрⷭ҇тѣ̀ і҆и҃сѣ гдⷭ҇ѣ на́шемъ, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12
12
ѡ҆ не́мже и҆́мамы дерзнове́нїе и҆ приведе́нїе въ надѣ́ѧнїи вѣ́рою є҆гѡ̀. in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.
13
13
Wherefore I ask that ye may not faint at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.

16
16

17
17
всели́тисѧ хрⷭ҇тꙋ̀ вѣ́рою въ сердца̀ ва̑ша: въ любвѝ вкорене́ни и҆ ѡ҆снова́ни, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
18

И҆ то́й да́лъ є҆́сть ѡ҆́вы оу҆́бѡ а҆пⷭ҇лы, ѡ҆́вы же прⷪ҇ро́ки, ѡ҆́вы же бл҃говѣ́стники, ѡ҆́вы же па́стыри и҆ оу҆чи́тєли, And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12
12
къ соверше́нїю ст҃ы́хъ, въ дѣ́ло слꙋже́нїѧ, въ созида́нїе тѣ́ла хрⷭ҇то́ва, for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ:
13
13
до́ндеже дости́гнемъ всѝ въ соедине́нїе вѣ́ры и҆ позна́нїѧ сн҃а бж҃їѧ, въ мꙋ́жа соверше́нна, въ мѣ́рꙋ во́зраста и҆сполне́нїѧ хрⷭ҇то́ва: till we all attain unto the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a full-grown man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14
14
(Заⷱ҇ ©к҃е҃.) да не быва́емъ ктомꙋ̀ младе́нцы, вла́ющесѧ и҆ скита́ющесѧ всѧ́кимъ вѣ́тромъ оу҆че́нїѧ, во лжѝ человѣ́честѣй, въ кова́рствѣ ко́зней льще́нїѧ: that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
15
15
и҆́стинствꙋюще же въ любвѝ, да возрасти́мъ въ него̀ всѧ́чєскаѧ, и҆́же є҆́сть глава̀ хрⷭ҇то́съ, but speaking truth in love, may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ;
16
16
и҆з̾ негѡ́же всѐ тѣ́ло, составлѧ́емо и҆ счинѣва́емо прили́чнѣ всѧ́цѣмъ ѡ҆сѧза́нїемъ подаѧ́нїѧ, по дѣ́йствꙋ въ мѣ́рѣ є҆ди́ныѧ коеѧ́ждо ча́сти, возраще́нїе тѣ́ла твори́тъ въ созда́нїе самагѡ̀ себє̀ любо́вїю. from whom all the body fitly framed and knit together through that which every joint supplieth, according to the working in due measure of each several part, maketh the increase of the body unto the building up of itself in love.
17
17
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18
18
помраче́ни смы́сломъ, сꙋ́ще ѿчꙋжде́ни ѿ жи́зни бж҃їѧ, за невѣ́жество сꙋ́щее въ ни́хъ, за ѡ҆камене́нїе серде́цъ и҆́хъ: being darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their heart;
19
19
и҆̀же въ неча́ѧнїе вло́жшесѧ, преда́ша себѐ стꙋдодѣѧ́нїю, въ дѣ́ланїе всѧ́кїѧ нечистоты̀ въ лихоима́нїи. who being past feeling gave themselves up to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20
20
Вы́ же не та́кѡ позна́сте хрⷭ҇та̀: But ye did not so learn Christ;
21
21
а҆́ще оу҆́бѡ [поне́же] слы́шасте є҆го̀ и҆ ѡ҆ не́мъ наꙋчи́стесѧ, ꙗ҆́коже є҆́сть и҆́стина ѡ҆ і҆и҃сѣ: if so be that ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
22
22
ѿложи́ти ва́мъ, по пе́рвомꙋ житїю̀, ве́тхаго человѣ́ка, тлѣ́ющаго въ по́хотехъ преле́стныхъ, that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;
23
23
ѡ҆бновлѧ́тисѧ же дꙋ́хомъ оу҆ма̀ ва́шегѡ, and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24
24
и҆ ѡ҆блещи́сѧ въ но́ваго человѣ́ка, со́зданнаго по бг҃ꙋ въ пра́вдѣ и҆ въ преподо́бїи и҆́стины. and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
25
25
Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
26
26
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27
27
нижѐ дади́те мѣ́ста дїа́волꙋ. neither give place to the devil.
28
28
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need.
29
29
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.
30
30
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.
31
31
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:
32
32
быва́йте же дрꙋ́гъ ко дрꙋ́гꙋ бла́зи, милосе́рди, проща́юще дрꙋ́гъ дрꙋ́гꙋ, ꙗ҆́коже и҆ бг҃ъ во хрⷭ҇тѣ̀ прости́лъ є҆́сть ва́мъ. and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave us.
Chapter 5
1
1
(Заⷱ҇ ©к҃и҃.) Быва́йте оу҆̀бо подража́тєли бг҃ꙋ, ꙗ҆́коже ча̑да возлю́блєннаѧ, Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
2
2
и҆ ходи́те въ любвѝ, ꙗ҆́коже и҆ хрⷭ҇то́съ возлюби́лъ є҆́сть на́съ, и҆ предадѐ себѐ за ны̀ приноше́нїе и҆ же́ртвꙋ бг҃ꙋ въ воню̀ благоꙋха́нїѧ. and walk in love, even as Christ also loved us, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.
3
3
Блꙋ́дъ же и҆ всѧ́ка нечистота̀ и҆ лихои́мство нижѐ да и҆менꙋ́етсѧ въ ва́съ, ꙗ҆́коже подоба́етъ ст҃ы̑мъ: But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;
4
4
и҆ скверносло́вїе, и҆ бꙋесло́вїе, и҆лѝ кощꙋ́ны, ꙗ҆̀же неподѡ́бнаѧ, но па́че благодаре́нїе: nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, things that are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.
5
5
For this ye know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
6
6
Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.
7
7
Не быва́йте оу҆̀бо соприча̑стницы си̑мъ. Be not ye therefore partakers with them;
8
8
ꙗ҆́коже ча̑да свѣ́та ходи́те: for ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light
9
9
пло́дъ бо дх҃о́вный є҆́сть во всѧ́цѣй бл҃госты́ни и҆ пра́вдѣ и҆ и҆́стинѣ: (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
10
10
и҆скꙋша́юще, что̀ є҆́сть бл҃гоꙋго́дно бг҃ови: proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
11
11
и҆ не приѡбща́йтесѧ къ дѣлѡ́мъ неплѡ́днымъ тмы̀, па́че же и҆ ѡ҆блича́йте. and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
12
12
Быва́ємаѧ бо ѡ҆́тай ѿ ни́хъ, сра́мно є҆́сть и҆ глаго́лати. for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.
13
13
But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light.
14
14
Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.
15
15
Блюди́те оу҆̀бо, ка́кѡ ѡ҆па́снѡ хо́дите, не ꙗ҆́коже немꙋ́дри, но ꙗ҆́коже премꙋ́дри, See then that ye walk carefully, not as unwise, but as wise;
16
16
и҆скꙋ́пꙋюще вре́мѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ дні́е лꙋка́ви сꙋ́ть. redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17
17
Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18
18
И҆ не оу҆пива́йтесѧ вїно́мъ, въ не́мже є҆́сть блꙋ́дъ: но па́че и҆сполнѧ́йтесѧ дх҃омъ, And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;
19
19
глаго́люще себѣ̀ во ѱалмѣ́хъ и҆ пѣ́нїихъ и҆ пѣ́снехъ дꙋхо́вныхъ, воспѣва́юще и҆ пою́ще въ сердца́хъ ва́шихъ гдⷭ҇еви, speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
20
20
(Заⷱ҇ ©л҃.) благодарѧ́ще всегда̀ ѡ҆ всѣ́хъ ѡ҆ и҆́мени гдⷭ҇а на́шегѡ і҆и҃са хрⷭ҇та̀ бг҃ꙋ и҆ ѻ҆ц҃ꙋ̀, giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
21
21
повинꙋ́ющесѧ дрꙋ́гъ дрꙋ́гꙋ въ стра́сѣ бж҃їи. subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22
22
Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23
23
For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, and he is the savior of the body.
24
24
But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
25
25
(Заⷱ҇ ©л҃а҃.) Мꙋ́жїе, люби́те своѧ̑ жєны̀, ꙗ҆́коже и҆ хрⷭ҇то́съ возлюбѝ цр҃ковь, и҆ себѐ предадѐ за ню̀, Husbands, love your own wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
26
26
да ѡ҆ст҃и́тъ ю҆̀, ѡ҆чⷭ҇тивъ ба́нею во́дною въ гл҃го́лѣ: that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
27
27
да предста́витъ ю҆̀ себѣ̀ сла́внꙋ цр҃ковь, не и҆мꙋ́щꙋ скве́рны, и҆лѝ поро́ка, и҆лѝ нѣ́что ѿ таковы́хъ, но да бꙋ́детъ ст҃а и҆ непоро́чна. that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28
28
So ought husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself:
29
29
Никто́же бо когда̀ свою̀ пло́ть возненави́дѣ, но пита́етъ и҆ грѣ́етъ ю҆̀, ꙗ҆́коже и҆ гдⷭ҇ь цр҃ковь: for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord also the church;
30
30
занѐ оу҆́ди є҆смы̀ тѣ́ла є҆гѡ̀, ѿ пл҃ти є҆гѡ̀ и҆ ѿ косте́й є҆гѡ̀. because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31
31
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.
32
32
This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.
33
33
Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband.

Chapter 6
1
1
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2
2
Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),
3
3
да бла́го тѝ бꙋ́детъ, и҆ бꙋ́деши долголѣ́тенъ на землѝ. that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4
4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.
5
5
Рабѝ, послꙋ́шайте госпо́дїй (свои́хъ) по пло́ти со стра́хомъ и҆ тре́петомъ, въ простотѣ̀ се́рдца ва́шегѡ, ꙗ҆́коже (и҆) хрⷭ҇та̀, Servants, be obedient unto them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6
6
не пред̾ ѻ҆чи́ма то́чїю рабо́тающе ꙗ҆́кѡ человѣкоꙋго́дницы, но ꙗ҆́коже рабѝ хрⷭ҇тѡ́вы, творѧ́ще во́лю бж҃їю ѿ дꙋшѝ, not in the way of eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7
7
со благоразꙋ́мїемъ слꙋжа́ще ꙗ҆́коже гдⷭ҇ꙋ, а҆ не (ꙗ҆́кѡ) человѣ́кѡмъ, with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men:
8
8
вѣ́дѧще, ꙗ҆́кѡ кі́йждо, є҆́же а҆́ще сотвори́тъ бл҃го́е, сїѐ прїи́метъ ѿ гдⷭ҇а, а҆́ще ра́бъ, а҆́ще свобо́дь. knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9
9
And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, and forbear threatening: knowing that the Master of you yourselves also is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him.
10
10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.
11
11
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12
12
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13
13
Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.
14
14
Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15
15
и҆ ѡ҆бꙋ́вше но́зѣ во оу҆гото́ванїе бл҃говѣствова́нїѧ ми́ра: and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16
16
над̾ всѣ́ми же воспрїи́мше щи́тъ вѣ́ры, въ не́мже возмо́жете всѧ̑ стрѣ́лы лꙋка́вагѡ разжжє́нныѧ оу҆гаси́ти: above all, taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17
17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18
18
всѧ́кою моли́твою и҆ моле́нїемъ молѧ́щесѧ на всѧ́ко вре́мѧ дꙋ́хомъ, и҆ въ сїѐ и҆́стое бдѧ́ще во всѧ́комъ терпѣ́нїи и҆ моли́твѣ ѡ҆ всѣ́хъ ст҃ы́хъ with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching unto this very thing in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
19
19
и҆ ѡ҆ мнѣ̀, да да́стсѧ мѝ сло́во во ѿверзе́нїе оу҆́стъ мои́хъ, съ дерзнове́нїемъ сказа́ти та́йнꙋ бл҃говѣствова́нїѧ, and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,
20
20
ѡ҆ не́мже посо́лствꙋю во оу҆́захъ, да въ не́мъ дерза́ю, ꙗ҆́коже подоба́етъ мѝ глаго́лати. for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21
21
But that ye also may know my affairs, how I do, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22
22
є҆го́же посла́хъ къ ва́мъ на сїѐ и҆́стое, да оу҆вѣ́сте, ꙗ҆̀же ѡ҆ на́съ, и҆ да оу҆тѣ́шитъ сердца̀ ва̑ша. whom I have sent unto you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts.
23
23
Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24
24
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible. Amen.
