Вставши від сну, раніше усякого іншого діла, стань благоговійно, уявляючи себе перед Всевидющим Богом, і, знаменуючи себе святим хрестом, промовляй:

Во імя Отца і Сина і Святого Духа. Амінь (тричі).

Потім трохи почекай, щоб усі почуття твої втишилися і думки твої залишили все земне, а тоді промовляй ці молитви без поспіху, з увагою сердечною:

Having risen from sleep, before any other action, stand reverently, considering thyself to be in the presence of the All-seeing God, and, having made the sign of the Cross, say:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Then pause a moment, until all thy senses are calmed and thy thoughts forsake all things earthly; and then make three bows, saying:

Боже, милостив буди мні грішному.

God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, by the prayers of Thy most pure Mother and of our holy and God-bearing fathers and of all the Saints, have mercy on us. Amen.

Царю Небесний, Утішителю, Душе істини, Іже везді сий і вся ісполняяй, Сокровище благих і жизні Подателю, приіди і вселися в ни і очисти ни от всякія скверни, і спаси, Блаже, душі наша.

O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, Who art everywhere and fillest all things; Treasury of Blessings, and Giver of Life - come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.

Святий Боже, святий Кріпкий, святий Безсмертний, помилуй нас (тричі).
