To thee, O most pure Mother of God, I, a wretched one, falling down, pray: Thou knowest, O Queen, that I sin without ceasing and anger thy Son and my God. And though I repent many times, I am found a liar before God; and I repent with trembling, lest the Lord smite me, and yet again I do the same things. Knowing these things, O my Lady, Sovereign Lady Theotokos, I pray thee to have mercy, to strengthen me, and to grant me to do good works. For thou knowest, O my Lady Theotokos, that I utterly hate my evil works, and with all my thought I love the law of my God; but I know not, O Sovereign Lady, whence it is that I love the things I hate, and I turn away from what is good. Permit not my will to be done, O All-pure One, for it is not pleasing to God; but let the will of thy Son and my God be done, that He may save me and enlighten me and give me the grace of the Holy Spirit, that from henceforth I may cease to do evil, and that the rest of my life I may live in the command of thy Son, to Whom belongeth all glory, honor and dominion, with His unoriginate Father, and His Most-holy and good and life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. К Тебі́, Пречи́стій Бо́жієй Ма́тері, аз окая́нний припа́дая молю́ся: ві́си, Цари́це, я́ко безпреста́ні согріша́ю і прогнівля́ю Си́на Твоєго́ і Бо́га моєго́. І мно́гажди а́ще ка́юся, лож пред Бо́гом обріта́юся^*, і ка́юся трепе́ща: не уже́ли Госпо́дь порази́ть м'я? І по часі́ па́ки та́яжде творю́. Ві́дущи сія́, Влади́чице моя́ Госпоже́ Богоро́дице, молю́, да поми́луєши, да укріпи́ши і блага́я твори́ти да пода́си мі. Ві́си бо, Влади́чице моя́ Богоро́дице, я́ко отню́д і́мам в не́нависті зла́я моя́ діла́ і все́ю ми́слію люблю́ зако́н Бо́га моєго́; но не вім, Госпоже́ Пречи́стая, отку́ду я́же ненави́жду, та і люблю́, а блага́я преступа́ю. Не попуща́й, Пречи́стая, во́лі моє́й соверша́тися, не уго́дна бо єсть, но да бу́деть во́ля Си́на Твоєго́ і Бо́га моєго́, да м'я спасе́ть, і вразуми́ть, і пода́сть благода́ть Свята́го Ду́ха, да бих аз отсе́лі преста́л скверноді́йства і про́чеє пожи́л бих в повелі́нії Си́на Твоєго́, Єму́же подоба́єть вся́кая сла́ва, честь і держа́ва, со Безнача́льним Єго́ Отце́м, і Пресвяти́м, і Благи́м, і Животворя́щим Єго́ Ду́хом, ни́ні, і при́сно, і во ві́ки віко́в.
