To thee, O most pure Mother of God, I, a wretched one, falling down, pray: Thou knowest, O Queen, that I sin without ceasing and anger thy Son and my God. And though I repent many times, I am found a liar before God; and I repent with trembling, lest the Lord smite me, and yet again I do the same things. Knowing these things, O my Lady, Sovereign Lady Theotokos, I pray thee to have mercy, to strengthen me, and to grant me to do good works. For thou knowest, O my Lady Theotokos, that I utterly hate my evil works, and with all my thought I love the law of my God; but I know not, O Sovereign Lady, whence it is that I love the things I hate, and I turn away from what is good. Permit not my will to be done, O All-pure One, for it is not pleasing to God; but let the will of thy Son and my God be done, that He may save me and enlighten me and give me the grace of the Holy Spirit, that from henceforth I may cease to do evil, and that the rest of my life I may live in the command of thy Son, to Whom belongeth all glory, honor and dominion, with His unoriginate Father, and His Most-holy and good and life-creating Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. До Тебе, Пречистої Божої Матері, я, окаянний, припадаючи, молюся: Ти знаєш, Царице, що я безперестанно згрішаю і прогнівляю Сина Твого і Бога мого. І хоча багато разів каюся, але обманюючим Бога виявляюся, і каюся зі страхом, невже Господь знищить мене? Але з часом знову те ж саме роблю. Знаючи про це, Владичице моя Богородице, молю, помилуй, укріпи і добро творити допоможи мені. Бо знаєш, Владичице моя Богородице, як я ненавиджу злі мої діла і всіма думками люблю закон Бога мого, але не знаю, Госпоже Пречиста, чому те, що ненавиджу, люблю, а благе зневажаю. Не допускай, Пречиста, волі моїй звершуватися, неугодна бо є, але нехай буде воля Сина Твого і Бога мого, Який мене спасе, врозумить і подасть благодать Святого Духа, щоб я віднині перестав робити зле і решту часу прожив би по заповідях Сина Твого й Бога мого, Якому належить всяка слава, честь і держава з Безначальним Його Отцем і Пресвятим, Благим і Животворящим Його Духом нині, і повсякчас, і на віки віків.
