Let God arise, and let His enemies be scattered; and let those who hate Him flee from His face. As smoke vanisheth, let them vanish; as wax melteth before the fire, so let the demons perish from the presence of those who love God and who sign themselves with the sign of the cross and say in gladness: Rejoice, most honorable and life-giving Cross of the Lord, for thou drivest away the demons by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ Who was crucified on thee, Who went down to Hades and trampled on the power of the devil, and gave us thee, His honorable Cross, for the driving away of every adversary. O most honorable and life-giving Cross of the Lord, help me, together with the holy Sovereign Lady, the Virgin Theotokos, and with all the Saints, unto the ages. Amen.

Я́ко ісчеза́єть дим, да ісче́знуть; я́ко та́єть воск от лиця́ огня́, та́ко да поги́бнуть бі́си от лиця́ лю́б'ящих Бо́га, і зна́менующихся кре́стним зна́менієм, і в весе́лії глаго́лющих: ра́дуйся, Пречестни́й і Животворя́щий Кре́сте Госпо́день, прогоня́яй бі́си си́лою на тебі́ проп'я́таго Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́, во ад сше́дшаго, і попра́вшаго си́лу дия́волю, і дарова́вшаго нам тебе́, Крест Свой Честни́й, на прогна́ніє вся́каго супоста́та. Guard me, O Lord, by the power of Thy holy and life-giving Cross, and keep me from all evil.

Огради́ м'я, Го́споди, си́лою Честна́го і Животворя́щаго Твоєго́ Креста́ і сохрани́ м'я от вся́каго зла.

Remit, pardon, forgive, O God, our offenses, both voluntary and involuntary, in deed and word, in knowledge and ignorance, by day and by night, in mind and thought; forgive us all things, for Thou art good and the Lover of mankind.

Осла́би, оста́ви, прости́, Бо́же, прегріше́нія на́ша, во́льная і нево́льная, я́же в сло́ві і в ді́лі, я́же в ві́дінії і не в ві́дінії, я́же во дні і в нощі́, я́же во умі́ і в помишле́нії: вся нам прости́, я́ко Благ і Человіколю́бець.
