| (Зач. 122) Па́вел, зван апо́стол Ісу́с Христо́в во́лею Божиєю, і Сосфе́н брат, | Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, |

| Це́ркві Бо́жієй су́щей в Кори́нфі, освяще́нним о Христі́ Ісу́сі, зва́нним святи́м, со всі́ми призива́ющими і́м'я Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́, во вся́цім мі́сті, тіх же і на́шем: | unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both their Lord and ours: |

| (Зач. 123) благода́ть вам і мир от Бо́га Отця́ на́шего і Го́спода Ісу́са Христа́. | Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. |

|
| Благодарю́ Бо́га моєго́ всегда́ о вас, о благода́ті Бо́жієй да́нній вам о Христі́ Ісу́сі, | I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus; |
|

|
| я́ко во всем обогати́стеся о Нем, во вся́цім сло́ві і вся́цім ра́зумі, | that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge; |
|

|

|
| я́коже свиді́тельство Христо́во ізвісти́ся в вас, — | even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: |
|

|
| я́ко вам не лиши́тися ні во єди́нім дарова́нії, ча́ющим открове́нія Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́, | so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ; |
|

|

|
| І́же і утверди́ть вас да́же до конця́ непови́нних в день Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́. | who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreprovable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
|

|

|
| Ві́рен Бог, І́мже зва́ні би́сте во обще́ніє Си́на Єго́ Ісу́са Христа́, Го́спода на́шего. | God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. |
|

|
| (Зач. 124) Молю́ же ви, бра́тіє, і́менем Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́, да то́жде глаго́лете всі, і да не бу́дуть в вас ра́спрі, да бу́дете же утвержде́нні в то́мже разумі́нії і в тойже ми́слі. | Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment. |

| Возвісти́ся бо мі о вас, бра́тіє моя́, (по́сланним) от Хло́їса [от дома́шніх Хло́їса], я́ко рве́нія в вас суть. | For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them that are of the household of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. |

| Глаго́лю же се, я́ко ки́йждо вас глаго́леть: аз у́бо єсьм Па́влов, аз же Аполло́сов, аз же Ки́фин, аз же Христо́в. | Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. |

| Єда́ разділи́ся Христо́с, єда́ Па́вел расп'я́ться по вас? Іли́ во і́м'я Па́влово крести́стеся? | Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul? |
|

|
| Благодарю́ Бо́га, я́ко ні єди́наго от вас крести́х, то́чію Кри́спа і Га́я, | I thank God that I baptized none of you, save Crispus and Gaius; |
|

|
15
|
| да не кто рече́ть, я́ко в моє́ і́м'я крести́х. | lest any man should say that I had baptized into mine own name. |
|

|

|
| Крести́х же і Стефани́нов дом; про́чеє не вім, а́ще кого́ іно́го крести́х. | And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. |
|

|
| Не посла́ бо мене́ Христо́с крести́ти, но благовісти́ти, не в прему́дрості сло́ва, да не іспраздни́ться Крест Христо́в. | For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void. |

| (Зач. 120) Сло́во бо крестноє погиба́ющим у́бо юро́дство єсть, а спаса́ємим нам си́ла Бо́жия єсть. | For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God. |
|

|
| Пи́сано бо єсть: погублю́ прему́дрость прему́дрих, і ра́зум разу́мних отве́ргу. | For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nought. |
|

|
| Гді прему́др? Гді кни́жник? Гді совопро́сник ві́ка сего́? Не обуї́ ли Бог прему́дрость ми́ра сего́? | Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? |
|

|
| Поне́же бо в прему́дрості Бо́жієй не разумі́ мир прему́дростію Бо́га, благоізво́лил Бог бу́йством про́повіді спасти́ ві́рующих. | For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe. |

| Поне́же і іуде́є зна́менія про́сять, і є́ллини прему́дрости і́щуть; | Seeing that Jews ask for a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom: |

|
| ми же пропові́дуєм Христа́ ра́сп'ята, іуде́єм у́бо собла́зн, е́ллином же безу́міє, | but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumbling block, and unto Greeks foolishness; |
|

|

|
| самі́м же зва́нним іуде́єм же і е́ллином Христа́, Бо́жию си́лу і Бо́жию прему́рость; | but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. |
|

|
| зане́ бу́єє Бо́жиє прему́дріє челові́к єсть, і немощно́є Бо́жиє кріпча́є челові́к єсть. | Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. |
|

| (Зач.) Ви́діте бо зва́ніє ва́ше, бра́тіє, я́ко не мно́зі прему́дрі по пло́ті, не мно́зі си́льні, не мно́зі благоро́дні; | For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: |

| но бу́яя ми́ра ізбра́ Бог, да прему́дрия посрами́ть, і не́мощная ми́ра ізбра́ Бог, да посрами́ть крі́пкая; | but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; |

| і худоро́дная ми́ра і уничиже́нная ізбра́ Бог, і не су́щая, да су́щая упраздни́ть, | and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, yea and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are: |

|
| я́ко да не похва́литься вся́ка плоть пред Бо́гом. | that no flesh should glory before God. |
|

|
30
|
| Із Него́же ви єсте́ о Христі́ Ісу́сі, І́же бисть нам прему́рость от Бо́га, пра́вда же і освяще́ніє і ізбавле́ніє, | But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption: |

| да, я́коже пи́шеться: «Хваля́йся, о Го́споді да хва́литься». | that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. |

Chapter 10

| Не хощу́ же вас не ві́діти, бра́тіє, я́ко отці́ на́ші всі под о́блаком би́ша, і всі сквозі́ мо́ре пройдо́ша; | Now I would not, brethren, have you ignorant, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; |
|

|
| і всі в Моїсе́я крести́шася во о́блаці і в мо́рі; | and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; |
|

|
3
|
| і всі то́жде бра́шно духо́вноє ядо́ша; | and did all eat the same spiritual food; |
|

|
4
|
| і всі то́жде пи́во духо́вноє пи́ша, пія́ху бо от духо́внаго послі́дующаго ка́мене; ка́мень же бі Христо́с. | and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them: and the rock was Christ. |
|

|
| (Зач. 144) Но не во мно́жайших їх благоволи́ Бог, пораже́ни бо би́ша в пусти́ні. | Howbeit with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. |
|

|
| Сія́ же о́брази нам би́ша, я́ко не би́ти нам похотнико́м злих, я́коже і они́ похоті́ша. | Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. |
|

|
| Ні ідолослужи́теле бива́йте, я́коже ні́ції от них, я́коже єсть пи́сано: сідо́ша лю́діє я́сти і пи́ти, і воста́ша ігра́ти. | Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. |

| Ніже́ соблу́дим, я́коже ні́ції от них соблуди́ша, і падо́ша во єди́н день два́десять три ти́сящі. | Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. |
|

|
| Ні да іскуша́їм Христа́, я́коже ні́ції от них іскуси́ша і от змій погибо́ша. | Neither let us make trial of Christ, as some of them also made trial, and perished by the serpents. |
|

|
| Ні ропщі́те, я́коже ні́ції от них ропта́ша і погибо́ша от всегуби́теля. | Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and perished by the destroyer. |
|

|
| Сія́ же вся о́брази прилуча́хуся о́нім; пи́сана же би́ша в науче́ніє на́ше, в ни́хже конці́ вік достиго́ша. | Now all these things happened unto them as examples; and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come. |
|

|
| (Зач 145) Ті́мже мня́йся стоя́ти да блюде́ться, да не паде́ть. | Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. |
|

|
| Іскуше́ніє вас не дости́же, то́чію челові́чеськоє; ві́рен же Бог, І́же не оста́вить вас іскуси́тися па́че, є́же мо́жете, но сотвори́ть со іскуше́нієм і ізби́тіє, я́ко возмощи́ вам понести́. | There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it. |

| Ті́мже, бра́тіє моя́ возлю́блєнная, бі́гайте от ідолослуже́нія. | Wherefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. |
|

|
15
|
| Я́ко му́дрим глаго́лю: суді́те ви, є́же глаго́лю; | I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say. |
|

|
| ча́ша благослове́нія, ю́же благословля́єм, не обще́ніє ли Кро́ве Христо́ви єсть? Хліб, єго́же ло́мим, не обще́ніє ли Ті́ла Христо́ва єсть? | The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a communion of the body of Christ? |

| Я́ко єди́н хліб, єди́но ті́ло єсьми́ мно́зі; всі бо от єди́наго хлі́ба причаща́ємся. | seeing that we, who are many, are one bread, one body: for we all partake of the one bread. |
|

|
| Ви́діте Ізра́їля по пло́ті: не яду́щії ли же́ртви о́бщници олтаре́ві суть? | Behold Israel after the flesh: have not they that eat the sacrifices communion with the altar? |
|

|
19
|
| Что у́бо глаго́лю? Я́ко і́дол что єсть? Іли́ ідоложе́ртвенноє что єсть? | What say I then? that an idol is anything, or that a thing sacrificed to idols is anything? |
|

|
20
|
| Но зане́, я́же жруть язи́ци, бісо́м жруть, а не Бо́гові; не хощу́ же вас о́бщников би́ти бісо́м. | But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have communion with demons. |
|

| Не мо́жете ча́шу Госпо́дню пи́ти і ча́шу бісо́вськую; не мо́жете трапе́зі Госпо́дній причаща́тися і трапе́зі бісо́встій. | Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: ye cannot partake of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons. |

| Іли́ раздража́єм Го́спода? Єда́ кріпча́йші Єго́ єсьми́? | Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? |
|

|
| (Зач. 146) Вся мі літь суть, но не вся на по́льзу; вся мі літь суть, но не вся назида́ють. | All things are lawful for me; but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me; but not all things edify. |
|

|
| Нікто́же своєго́ си да і́щеть, но є́же бли́жняго ки́йждо. | Let no man seek his own, but each his neighbor’s good. |
|

|

|
| Все, є́же на то́ржищі продає́моє, яді́те, нічто́же сумня́щеся, за со́вість; | Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat, asking no question for conscience’ sake; |
|

|
| Госпо́дня бо земля́ і ісполне́ніє єя́. | for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof. |
|
27
|
27
|
| А́ще ли кто от неві́рних призива́єть ви, і хо́щете іти́, все предлага́ємоє вам яді́те, нічто́же сумня́щеся, за со́вість. | And if one of them that believe not biddeth you to a feast, and ye are disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience’ sake. |

| (Зач. 147) А́ще ли же кто вам рече́ть: сіє́ ідоложе́ртвенно єсть — не яді́те за о́ного пові́давшаго, і со́вість; Госпо́дня бо земля́ і ісполне́ніє єя́. | But if any man say unto you, This hath been sacrificed to idols, eat not, for his sake that showed it, and for conscience’ sake: for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof: |

| Со́вість же глаго́лю не свою́, но друга́го; вску́ю бо свобо́да моя́ су́диться от іни́я со́вісти? | conscience, I say, not thine own, but the other’s; for why is my liberty judged by another conscience? |
|

| А́ще аз благода́тію причаща́юся, почто́ хулу́ приє́млю, о не́мже аз благодарю́? | If I partake with thankfulness, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? |
|

|
| А́ще у́бо я́сте, а́ще ли пієте́, а́ще ли і́но что творите́, вся во сла́ву Бо́жию творі́те. | Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. |
|

| Безпреткнове́нні бива́йте іуде́єм, і е́ллином, і Це́ркві Бо́жієй, | Give no occasion of stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the church of God: |
|

|
| я́коже і аз во всем всім угожда́ю, не іски́й своєя́ по́льзи, но мно́гих, да спасу́ться. | even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved. |
