(Зач. 228) Бива́йте у́бо подража́телі Бо́гу, я́коже ча́да возлю́бленная,

Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
|

|
і ході́те в любві́, я́коже і Христо́с возлюби́л єсть нас, і предаде́ Себе́ за ни приноше́ніє і же́ртву Бо́гу в воню́ благоуха́нія.
|
and walk in love, even as Christ also loved us, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.
|

|
Блуд же і вся́ка нечистота́ і лихоі́мство ніже́ да імену́ється в вас, я́коже подоба́єть святи́м;
|
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;
|
|

|
|
і скверносло́віє, і буєсло́віє, іли́ кощу́ни, я́же неподо́бная, но па́че благодаре́ніє;
|
nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, things that are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.
|

|
|
сіє́ бо да ві́сте, я́ко всяк блудни́к, іли́ нечи́ст, іли́ лихоі́мець, і́же єсть ідолослужи́тель, не і́мать достоя́нія в Ца́рствії Христа́ і Бо́га.
|
For this ye know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
|

|
Нікто́же вас да льстить су́єтними словеси́, сих бо ра́ди гряде́ть гнів Бо́жий на си́ни непокори́вия.
|
Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.
|

|
|
Не бива́йте у́бо соприча́стници сим.
|
Be not ye therefore partakers with them;
|
|

|

|
|
Бі́сте бо іногда́ тьма, ни́ні же світ о Го́споді; (Зач. 229) я́коже ча́да сві́та ході́те;
|
for ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light
|
|

|
|
плод бо духо́вний єсть во вся́цій благости́ні, і пра́вді, і і́стині;
|
(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
|
|

|
10
|
|
іскуша́юще, что єсть благоуго́дно Бо́гові;
|
proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
|
|

|
11
|
|
і не приобща́йтеся к діло́м непло́дним тьми, па́че же і облича́йте.
|
and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
|
|

|
|
Бива́ємая бо о́тай от них, сра́мно єсть і глаго́лати.
|
for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.
|
|

|
|
Вся же облича́ємая от сві́та я́вляються, все бо явля́ємоє світ єсть;
|
But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light.
|
|

|
|
сего́ ра́ди глаго́леть: воста́ни, спяй, і воскресни́ от ме́ртвих, і освіти́ть тя Христо́с.
|
Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.
|

|
|
Блюді́те у́бо, ка́ко опа́сно хо́дите, не я́коже нему́дрі, но я́коже прему́дрі,
|
See then that ye walk carefully, not as unwise, but as wise;
|
|

|
|
іску́пующе вре́м'я, я́ко дні́є лука́ві суть.
|
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
|
|

|
|
Сего́ ра́ди не бива́йте несми́сленні, но разуміва́йте, что єсть во́ля Бо́жия.
|
Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
|

|
|
І не упива́йтеся вино́м, в не́мже єсть блуд; но па́че ісполня́йтеся Ду́хом,
|
And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;
|
|

|
|
глаго́люще себі́ во псалмі́х і пі́ніїх і пі́снех духо́вних, воспіва́юще і пою́ще в сердця́х ва́ших Го́сподеві,
|
speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;

|
(Зач. 230) благодаря́ще всегда́ о всіх о і́мені Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́ Бо́гу і Отцю́,
|
giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
|
|

|
|
повину́ющеся друг дру́гу в стра́сі Бо́жиї.
|
subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
|
|

|
|
Жени́, свої́м муже́м повину́йтеся, я́коже Го́споду,
|
Wives, be in subjection unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
|
|

|
|
зане́ муж глава́ єсть жени́, я́коже і Христо́с глава́ Це́ркве, і Той єсть Спаси́тель ті́ла;
|
For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, and he is the savior of the body.
|
|

|
|
но я́коже Це́рков повину́ється Христу́, та́кожде і жени́ свої́м муже́м во всем.
|
But as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
|

|
(Зач. 231) Му́жіє, любі́те своя́ жени́, я́коже і Христо́с возлюби́ Це́рков і Себе́ предаде́ за ню,
|
Husbands, love your own wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
|

|
|
да освяти́ть ю́, очи́стив ба́нею во́дною в глаго́лі;
|
that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
|
|

|

|
|
да предста́вить ю́ Себі́ сла́вну Це́рков, не іму́щу скве́рни, іли́ поро́ка, іли́ ні́что от такови́х, но да бу́деть свя́та і непоро́чна.
|
that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
|

|
Та́ко до́лжні суть му́жіє люби́ти своя́ жени́, я́ко своя́ тілеса́; люб'я́й (бо) свою́ жену́, себе́ сама́го лю́бить.
|
So ought husbands to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself:

|
Нікто́же бо когда́ свою́ плоть возненави́ді, но пита́єть і грі́єть ю́, я́коже і Госпо́дь Це́рков;
|
for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord also the church;
|

|
|
зане́ у́ди єсьми́ ті́ла Єго́, от пло́ті Єго́ і от косте́й Єго́.
|
because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
|
|

|
|
Сего́ ра́ди оста́вить челові́к отця́ своєго́ і ма́тер, і прилі́питься к жені́ своє́й, і бу́дета два в плоть єди́ну.
|
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.
|

|
Та́йна сія́ велика́ єсть; аз же глаго́лю во Христа́ і во Це́рков.
|
This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.
|
|

|
|
(Зач. 232) Оба́че і ви, по єди́ному ки́йждо свою́ жену́ си́це да лю́бить, я́коже (і) себе́; а жена́ да бої́ться (своєго́) му́жа.
|
Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband.
