Chapter 22
1
1
And he rested three years, and there was no war between Syria and Israel.
2
2
And it came to pass in the third year, that Josaphat king of Juda went down to the king of Israel.
3
3
And the king of Israel said to his servants, Know ye that Remmath Galaad is ours, and we are slow to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?
4
4
И# речE цaрь ї}левъ ко їwсафaту: взhдеши ли съ нaми въ реммafу галаaдскую на брaнь; И# речE їwсафaтъ: ћкоже ѓзъ, тaкожде и3 ты2: ћкоже лю1діе мои2, лю1діе твои2: ћкоже к0ни мои2, к0ни твои2. And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, Wilt thou go up with us to Remmath Galaad to battle?
5
5
И# речE їwсафaтъ цaрь їyдинъ къ царю2 ї}леву: вопроси1те u5бо днeсь гDа. And Josaphat said, As I am, so art thou also; as my people, so is thy people; as my horses, so are thy horses. And Josaphat king of Juda said to the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, of the Lord to-day.
6
6
И# собрA цaрь ї}левъ вс‰ прор0ки ћкw четhреста мужeй, и3 речE цaрь и5мъ: взhду ли въ реммafу галаaдскую на брaнь, и3ли2 њстaвлю; И# рёша: взhди, ћкw даS предaстъ гDь въ рyки царє1вы. And the king of Israel gathered all the prophets together, about four hundred men; and the king said to them, Shall I go up to Remmath Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? and they said, Go up, and the Lord will surely give it into the hands of the king.
7
7
And Josaphat said to the king of Israel, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may enquire of the Lord by him?
8
8
И# речE цaрь ї}левъ ко їwсафaту: є3щE є4сть є3ди1нъ мyжъ на вопрошeніе и4мъ гDа, и3 ѓзъ возненави1дэхъ є3го2, ћкw не глаг0летъ њ мнЁ д0брэ, но ѕл†z, міхeа сhнъ їемвлаaнь. И# речE цaрь їwсафaтъ їyдинъ: не глаг0ли, царю2, тaкw. And the king of Israel said to Josaphat, There is one man here for us to enquire of the Lord by; but I hate him, for he does not speak good of me, but only evil; Michaias son of Jemblaa. And Josaphat king of Juda said, Let not the king say so.
9
9
И# призвA цaрь ї}левъ скопцA є3ди1наго и3 речE: ск0рw и3ди2 по міхeю сhна їемвлаaнz. And the king of Israel called a eunuch and said, Bring hither quickly Michaias son of Jemblaa.
10
10
Цaрь же ї}левъ и3 їwсафaтъ цaрь їyдинъ сэдsста кjйждо на прест0лэ своeмъ воwружeни во вратёхъ самарjйскихъ, и3 вси2 прор0цы прорицaху пред8 ни1ми. And the king of Israel and Josaphat king of Juda sat, each on his throne, armed in the gates of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
11
11
И# сотвори2 себЁ седекjа сhнъ ханаaнь рогA жєлёзна и3 речE: тaкw гlетъ гDь: си1ми рогaми и3збодeши сmрjю, д0ндеже скончaетсz. And Sedekias son of Chanaan made for himself iron horns, and said, Thus saith the Lord, With these thou shalt push Syria, until it be consumed.
12
12
И# вси2 прор0цы прорицaху тaкw, глаг0люще: взhди въ реммafу галаaдскую, и3 настaвитъ тS, и3 предaстъ гDь въ рyцэ твои2 царS сmрjйскаго. And all the prophets prophesied in like manner, saying, Go up to Remmath Galaad, and the thing shall prosper, and the Lord shall deliver it and the king of Syria into thine hands.
13
13
And the messenger that went to call Michaias spoke to him, saying, Behold now, all the prophets speak with one mouth good concerning the king, let now thy words be like the words of one of them, and speak good things.
14
14
And Michaias said, As the Lord lives, whatsoever the Lord shall say to me, that will I speak.
15
15
И# речE є3мY цaрь: міхeе, взhду ли въ реммafу галаaдскую на брaнь, и3ли2 њстaвлю; И# речE є3мY: взhди, и3 бlгопоспэши1тъ гDь въ рyки царє1вы. And he came to the king: and the king said to him, Michaias, shall I go up to Remmath Galaad to battle, or shall I forbear? and he said, Go up, and the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
16
16
И# речE є3мY цaрь: є3щE ѓзъ двaжды заклинaю тS, да речeши и4стину пред8 гDемъ. And the king said to him, How often shall I adjure thee, that thou speak to me truth in the name of the Lord?
17
17
И# речE міхeа: не тaкw: ви1дэхъ всего2 ї}лz разсёzна по горaмъ ћкоже стадA, и5мже нёсть пaстырz: и3 речE гDь: не гDь ли си6мъ въ бGа; да возврати1тсz кjйждо въ д0мъ св0й съ ми1ромъ. And he said, Not so. I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains as a flock without a shepherd: and the Lord said, Is not God lord of these? let each one return to his home in peace.
18
18
И# речE цaрь ї}левъ ко їwсафaту царю2 їyдину: не рёхъ ли тебЁ, ћкw не прори1четъ сeй ми2 дHбраz, но т0кмw ѕл†z; And the king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, Did I not say to thee that this man does not prophesy good to me, for he speaks nothing but evil?
19
19
И# речE міхeа: не тaкw: не ѓзъ: слhши гlъ гDень: не тaкw: ви1дэхъ гDа бGа ї}лева сэдsщаго на пrт0лэ своeмъ, и3 всE в0инство нбcное стоsше w4крестъ є3гw2 њдеснyю є3гw2 и3 њшyюю є3гw2: And Michaias said, Not so, it is not I: hear the word of the Lord; it is not so. I saw the God of Israel sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven stood about him on his right hand and on his left.
20
20
и3 речE гDь: кто2 прельсти1тъ ґхаaва царS ї}лева, и3 взhдетъ и3 падeтъ въ реммafэ галаaдстэй; и3 речE сeй тaкw, и3 сeй тaкw: And the Lord said, Who will deceive Achaab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall in Remmath Galaad? and one spoke one way, and another another way.
21
21
5: And there came forth a spirit and stood before the Lord, and said, I will deceive him.
22
22
и3 речE къ немY гDь: въ чeмъ; и3 речE: и3зhду и3 бyду дyхъ лжи1въ во ўстёхъ всёхъ прорHкъ є3гw2: и3 речE: прельсти1ши и3 возм0жеши: и3зhди и3 сотвори2 тaкw: And the Lord said to him, Whereby? And he said, I will go forth, and will be a false spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt deceive him, yea, and shalt prevail: go forth, and do so.
23
23
And now, behold, the Lord has put a false spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord has spoken evil against thee.
24
24
And Sedekias the son of Chanaan came near and smote Michaias on the cheek, and said, What sort of a spirit of the Lord has spoken in thee?
25
25
Y. And Michaias said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an innermost chamber to hide thyself there.
26
26
И# речE цaрь ї}левъ: поими1те міхeю, и3 возврати1те є3го2 ко ґммHну кнsзю грaда и3 ко їwaсу сhну царeву, And the king of Israel said, Take Michaias, and convey him away to Semer the keeper of the city;
27
27
и3 рцhте, да посaдzтъ є3го2 въ темни1цу, и3 да к0рмzтъ є3го2 хлёбомъ печaльнымъ и3 вод0ю печaльною, д0ндеже возвращyсz въ ми1рэ. and tell Joas the king's son to put this fellow in prison, and to feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction until I return in peace.
28
28
2. And Michaias said, If thou return at all in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.
29
29
И# взhде цaрь ї}левъ и3 їwсафaтъ цaрь їyдинъ съ ни1мъ въ реммafу галаaдскую. So the king of Israel went up, and Josaphat king of Juda with him to Remmath Galaad.
30
30
And the king of Israel said to Josaphat king of Juda, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle, and do thou put on my raiment. So the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
31
31
And the king of Syria had charged the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, Fight not against small or great, but against the king of Israel only.
32
32
И# бhсть є3гдA ўзрёша воевHды колесни1цъ їwсафaта царS їyдина, и3 рёша: ви1дитсz цaрь ї}левъ сeй. And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Josaphat king of Juda, that they said, This seems to be the king of Israel. And they compassed him about to fight against him; and Josaphat cried out.
33
33
И# бhсть є3гдA ўзрёша воевHды колесни1цъ, ћкw нёсть цaрь ї}левъ т0й, и3 возврати1шасz t негw2: And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw that this was not the king of Israel, that they returned from him.
34
34
И# речE (цaрь) всaднику своемY: њбрати2 рyки тво‰, и3 и3зведи1 мz t брaни, ћкw ћзвенъ є4смь. And one drew a bow with a good aim, and smote the king of Israel between the lungs and the breast-plate: and he said to his charioteer, Turn thine hands, and carry me away out of the battle, for I am wounded.
35
35
И# ўмн0жисz брaнь въ т0й дeнь, и3 цaрь бЁ стоS на колесни1цэ проти1ву сmрjанъ t ќтра дaже до вeчера, и3 ліsшесz кр0вь и3з8 ћзвы въ нёдра колесни1цы, и3 ќмре въ вeчеръ, и3 и3зливaшесz кр0вь t ћзвы дaже до нёдръ колесни1цы. And the war was turned in that day, and the king was standing on the chariot against Syria from morning till evening; and he shed the blood out of his wound, into the bottom of the chariot, and died at even, and the blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.
36
36
И# стA проповёдникъ њ зaпадэ с0лнца, глаг0лz: кjйждо вaсъ да и4детъ во св0й грaдъ и3 во свою2 зeмлю, ћкw ќмре цaрь. And the herald of the army stood at sunset, saying, Let every man go to his own city and his own land,
37
37
S. for the king is dead. And they came to Samaria, and buried the king in Samaria.
38
38
And they washed the chariot at the fountain of Samaria; and the swine and the dogs licked up the blood, and the harlots washed themselves in the blood, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke.
39
39
ПрHчаz же словeсъ ґхаaвлихъ, и3 вс‰ ±же сотвори2, и3 хрaмъ слон0вый, є3г0же создA, и3 вс‰ грaды, ±же сотвори2, не сe ли, сі‰ пи6сана бhша въ кни1зэ словeсъ днjй царeй ї}левыхъ; And the rest of the acts of Achaab, and all that he did, and the ivory house which he built, and all the cities which he built, behold, are not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
40
40
And Achaab slept with his fathers, and Ochozias his son reigned in his stead.
41
41
И# їwсафaтъ сhнъ ѓсы воцари1сz над8 їyдою въ четвeртое лёто ґхаaва царS ї}лева. And Josaphat the son of Asa reigned over Juda: in the fourth year of Achaab king of Israel began Josaphat to reign.
42
42
Їwсафaтъ сhнъ три1десzти пzти2 лётъ (бЁ), є3гдA начA цaрствовати, и3 двaдесzть пsть лётъ цaрствова во їеrли1мэ. И$мz же мaтери є3гw2 ґзувA, дщи2 салаjлz. Thirty and five years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Azuba daughter of Salai.
43
43
И# хождaше по всBмъ путє1мъ ѓсы nтцA своегw2, не ўклони1сz t негw2, творS прaвое пред8 nчи1ма гDнима, т0кмw выс0кихъ не разори2: є3щE лю1діе жрsху и3 кадsху на выс0кихъ. And he walked in all the way of Asa his father: he turned not from it, even from doing that which was right in the eyes of the Lord.
44
44
Only he took not away any of the high places: the people still sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places.
45
45
And Josaphat was at peace with the king of Israel.
46
46
И# пр0чее мeрзости, є4же њстaсz во дни6 ѓсы nтцA є3гw2, tS t земли2. And the rest of the acts of Josaphat, and his mighty deeds, whatever he did, behold, are not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Juda?
47
48
Цaрь же їwсафaтъ сотвори2 корабли6 fарс‡йскіz, є4же и3ти2 во њфи1ръ по злaто, но не поид0ша, занE сокруши1шасz корабли6 во ґсеHнъ-гавeрэ.
49
ТогдA речE nхозjа сhнъ ґхаaвль ко їwсафaту: да и4дутъ раби2 мои2 съ рабы6 твои1ми въ кораблeхъ.
50
И# ќмре їwсафaтъ со nтцы6 свои1ми, и3 погребeнъ бhсть ў nтє1цъ свои1хъ во грaдэ давjда nтцA своегw2. И# воцари1сz їwрaмъ сhнъ є3гw2 вмёстw є3гw2.
51
51
И# nхозjа сhнъ ґхаaвовъ воцари1сz над8 ї}лемъ въ самарjи, въ лёто седмоенaдесzть їwсафaта царS їyдина, и3 цaрствова над8 ї}лемъ въ самарjи лBта двA, And Josaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried by his fathers in the city of David his father, and Joram his son reigned in his stead.
52
52
и3 сотвори2 лукaвое пред8 гDемъ, и3 начA ходи1ти по путє1мъ nтцA своегw2 ґхаaва и3 по пути2 їезавeли мaтере своеS, и3 во грэсёхъ д0му їеровоaма сhна навaтова, и4же введE во грёхъ ї}лz: And Ochozias son of Achaab reigned over Israel in Samaria: in the seventeenth year of Josaphat king of Juda, Ochozias son of Achaab reigned over Israel in Samaria two years.
53
53
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the way of Achaab his father, and in the way of Jezabel his mother, and in the sins of the house of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who caused Israel to sin.
