Благодари1мъ бGа всегдA њ всёхъ вaсъ, поминaніе њ вaсъ творsще въ моли1твахъ нaшихъ, We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

ћкw бlговэствовaніе нaше не бhсть къ вaмъ въ сл0вэ т0чію, но и3 въ си1лэ, и3 въ д©э с™э, и3 во и3звэщeніи мн0зэ, ћкоже и3 вёсте, какови2 бhхомъ въ вaсъ рaди вaсъ. how that our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; even as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

(За? ©…G.) И# вы2 подHбницы бhсте нaмъ и3 гDу, пріeмше сл0во въ ск0рби мн0зэ съ рaдостію д¦а с™aгw, And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;

T вaсъ бо промчeсz сл0во гDне не т0кмw въ макед0ніи и3 ґхaіи, но и3 во всsко мёсто вёра вaша, ћже къ бGу, и3зhде, ћкw не трeбовати нaмъ глаг0лати что2. For from you hath sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and in Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is gone forth; so that we need not to speak anything.

1
©…д7.) Сaми бо вёсте, брaтіе, вх0дъ нaшъ и4же къ вaмъ, ћкw не вотщE бhсть: For you yourselves, brethren, know our entering in unto you, that it hath not been found vain:
2
2
но предпострадaвше и3 досаждeни бhвше, ћкоже вёсте, въ філjппэхъ, дерзнyхомъ њ бз7э нaшемъ глаг0лати къ вaмъ бlговэствовaніе б9іе со мн0гимъ п0двигомъ. but having suffered before and been shamefully treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we waxed bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God in much conflict.
3
3
For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:
4
4
но ћкоже и3скуси1хомсz t бGа вёрни бhти пріsти бlговэствовaніе, тaкw глаг0лемъ, не ѓки человёкwмъ ўгождaюще, но бGу и3скушaющему сердцA н†ша. but even as we have been approved of God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God who proveth our hearts.
5
5
Никогдaже бо въ словеси2 ласкaніz бhхомъ къ вaмъ, ћкоже вёсте, нижE въ винЁ лихоимaніz: бGъ свидётель! For neither at any time were we found using words of flattery, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness, God is witness;
6
6
Ни и4щуще t человBкъ слaвы, ни t вaсъ, ни t и3нёхъ: nor seeking glory of men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.
7
7
But we were gentle in the midst of you, as when a nurse cherisheth her own children:
8
8
Тaкw желaюще вaсъ, благоволи1хомъ подaти вaмъ не т0чію бlговэствовaніе б9іе, но и3 дyшы сво‰, занeже возлю1блени бhсте нaмъ. even so, being affectionately desirous of you, we were well pleased to impart unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were become very dear to us.
9
9
©…е7.) П0мните бо, брaтіе, трyдъ нaшъ и3 п0двигъ: н0щь бо и3 дeнь дёлающе, да не њтzготи1мъ ни є3ди1нагw t вaсъ, проповёдахомъ вaмъ бlговэствовaніе б9іе. For ye remember, brethren, our labor and travail: for working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
10
10
Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and righteously and unblamably we behaved ourselves toward you that believe:
11
11
ћкоже вёсте, занE є3ди1наго ког0ждо вaсъ, ћкоже nтeцъ ч†да сво‰, as ye know how we dealt with each one of you, as a father with his own children,
12
12
молsще и3 ўтэшaюще вaсъ, и3 свидётелствующе вaмъ ходи1ти дост0йнw бGу, призвaвшему вы2 во своE цrтво и3 слaву. exhorting you, and encouraging you, and testifying, to the end that ye should walk worthily of God, who calleth you into his own kingdom and glory.
13
13
Сегw2 рaди и3 мы2 благодари1мъ бGа непрестaннw, ћкw пріeмше сл0во слhшаніz б9іz t нaсъ, пріsсте не ѓки сл0во человёческо, но, ћкоже є4сть вои1стинну, сл0во б9іе, є4же и3 дёйствуетсz въ вaсъ вёрующихъ. For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when ye received from us the word of the message, even the word of God, ye accepted it not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also worketh in you that believe.
14
14
(За? ©…ѕ7.) Вh бо подHбницы бhсте, брaтіе, цRквамъ б9іимъ сyщымъ во їудeи њ хrтЁ ї}сэ, занE т†zжде и3 вы2 пострадaсте t свои1хъ сплемє1нникъ, ћкоже и3 тjи t їудє1й, For ye, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus: for ye also suffered the same things of your own countrymen, even as they did of the Jews;
15
15
ўби1вшихъ и3 гDа ї}са и3 є3гw2 прbр0ки, и3 нaсъ и3згнaвшихъ, и3 бGу не ўгоди1вшихъ, и3 всBмъ человёкwмъ проти1вzщихсz, who both killed the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove out us, and please not God, and are contrary to all men;
16
16
A. forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved; to fill up their sins always: but the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
17
17
Мh же, брaтіе, њсиротёвше t вaсъ ко врeмени часA лицeмъ, ґ не сeрдцемъ, ли1шше тщaхомсz лицE вaше ви1дэти мн0гимъ желaніемъ. But we, brethren, being bereaved of you for a short season, in presence not in heart, endeavored the more exceedingly to see your face with great desire:
18
18
A. wherefore we would fain have come unto you, I Paul once and again; and Satan hindered us.
19
19
Кт0 бо нaмъ ўповaніе и3ли2 рaдость и3ли2 вэнeцъ похвалeніz; Не и3 вh ли пред8 гDемъ нaшимъ ї}съ хrт0мъ во2 пришeствіи є3гw2; For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glorying? Are not even ye, before our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
20

©…з7.) Вh бо є3стE слaва нaша и3 рaдость. For ye are our glory and our joy.

Тёмже ўжE не терпsще, благоволи1хомъ њстaтисz во ґfи1нэхъ є3ди1ни, Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone;

Сегw2 рaди и3 ѓзъ ктомY не терпS, послaхъ разумёти вёру вaшу, да не кaкw и3скуси1лъ вы2 и3скушazй, и3 вотщE бyдетъ трyдъ нaшъ. For this cause I also, when I could no longer forbear, sent that I might know your faith, lest by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor should be in vain.
6
6
Нн7э же пришeдшу тімоfeю къ нaмъ t вaсъ и3 благовэсти1вшу нaмъ вёру вaшу и3 люб0вь, и3 ћкw и4мате пaмzть њ нaсъ блaгу, всегдA желaюще нaсъ ви1дэти, ћкоже и3 мы2 вaсъ: But when Timothy came even now unto us from you, and brought us glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as we also to see you;

2
вёсте бо, какwвA повелBніz дaхомъ вaмъ гDемъ ї}сомъ. For ye know what charge we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
3
3
Сіs бо є4сть в0лz б9іz, с™ость вaша, храни1ти себE самёхъ t блудA, For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication;
4
4
(и3) вёдэти комyждо t вaсъ св0й сосyдъ стzжавaти во с™hни и3 чeсти, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
5
5
(ґ) не въ стрaсти п0хотнэй, ћкоже и3 kзhцы не вёдzщіи бGа, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God;
6
6
(и3) є4же не преступaти и3 лихои1мствовати въ вeщи брaта своегw2: занE мсти1тель є4сть гDь њ всёхъ си1хъ, ћкоже и3 прeжде рек0хомъ къ вaмъ и3 засвидётелствовахомъ. that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in the matter: because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.
7
7
For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.
8
8
Тёмже u5бо tметazй не человёка tметaетъ, но бGа, дaвшаго д¦а своего2 с™aго въ нaсъ. Therefore he that rejecteth, rejecteth not man, but God, who hath also given his Holy Spirit unto you.
9
9
Њ братолю1біи же, не трeбуете, да пи1шетсz къ вaмъ, сaми бо вы2 бGомъ ўчeни є3стE, є4же люби1ти дрyгъ дрyга: But concerning love of the brethren ye have no need that one write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another;
10
10
и4бо творитE то2 ко всeй брaтіи, сyщей во всeй макед0ніи. М0лимъ же вы2, брaтіе, и3збhточествовати пaче, for indeed ye do it toward all the brethren that are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brethren, that ye abound more and more;
11
11
и3 любeзнw прилэжaти, є4же безм0лвствовати и3 дёzти сво‰ и3 дёлати свои1ма рукaма, ћкоже повелёхомъ вaмъ: and that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we charged you;
12
12
да х0дите благоwбрaзнw ко внBшнимъ и3 ни чесогHже трeбуете. that ye may walk becomingly toward them that are without, and may have need of nothing.
13
13
©о7.) Не хощy же вaсъ, брaтіе, не вёдэти њ ўмeршихъ, да не скорбитE, ћкоже и3 пр0чіи не и3мyщіи ўповaніz. But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that are fallen asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, who have no hope.
14
14
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15
15
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep.
16
16
ћкw сaмъ гDь въ повелёніи, во глaсэ ґрхaгGловэ и3 въ трубЁ б9іи сни1детъ съ нб7сE, и3 мeртвіи њ хrтЁ воскрeснутъ пeрвэе: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
17
17
пот0мъ же мы2, живyщіи њстaвшіи, кyпнw съ ни1ми восхищeни бyдемъ на w4блацэхъ въ срётеніе гDне на воздyсэ, и3 тaкw всегдA съ гDемъ бyдемъ. then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18
