И҆ разꙋмѣ̀ і҆ѡа́въ сы́нъ сарꙋ́инъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ се́рдце царе́во преклони́сѧ ко а҆вессалѡ́мꙋ.	And Joab the son of Saruia knew that the heart of the king was toward Abessalom.

И҆ посла̀ і҆ѡа́въ въ ѳекѡ́ю, и҆ взѧ̀ ѿтꙋ́дꙋ женꙋ̀ мꙋ́дрꙋ и҆ речѐ къ не́й: сѣ́тꙋй нн҃ѣ, и҆ ѡ҆блецы́сѧ въ ри̑зы сѣ́тованїѧ, и҆ не пома́жисѧ є҆ле́емъ, и҆ бꙋ́деши ꙗ҆́кѡ жена̀ сѣ́тꙋющаѧ ѡ҆ оу҆ме́ршемъ дни̑ мнѡ́ги:	And Joab sent to Thecoe, and took thence a cunning woman, and said to her, Mourn, I pray thee, and put on mourning apparel, and anoint thee not with oil, and thou shalt be as a woman mourning for one that is dead thus for many days.

и҆ вни́деши ко царю̀ и҆ рече́ши къ немꙋ̀ по глаго́лꙋ семꙋ̀. И҆ положѝ і҆ѡа́въ словеса̀ своѧ̑ во оу҆ста̀ є҆ѧ̀.	And thou shalt go to the king, and speak to him according to this word. And Joab put the words in her mouth.

И҆ вни́де жена̀ ѳекѡі́тѧнынѧ ко царю̀ и҆ падѐ на лицы̀ свое́мъ на зе́млю, и҆ поклони́сѧ є҆мꙋ̀, и҆ речѐ: спасѝ, царю̀, спаси́ мѧ.	So the woman of Thecoe went in to the king and fell upon her face to the earth, and did him obeisance, and said, Help, O king, help.

И҆ речѐ є҆́й ца́рь: что́ ти є҆́сть; Ѻ҆на́ же речѐ: и҆зда́вна вдова̀ жена̀ а҆́зъ є҆́смь, и҆ оу҆́мре мꙋ́жъ мо́й:	And the king said to her, What is the matter with thee? And she said, I am indeed a widow woman, and my husband is dead.

и҆ рабѣ̀ твое́й два̀ сы̑на, и҆ би́стасѧ ѻ҆́ба на селѣ̀, и҆ не бы́сть кто́ бы и҆̀хъ разлꙋчи́лъ, и҆ нападѐ є҆ди́нъ на бра́та своего̀, и҆ оу҆мертвѝ є҆го̀:	And moreover thy handmaid had two sons, and they fought together in the field, and there was no one to part them; and the one smote the other his brother, and slew him.

и҆ сѐ, воста̀ всѐ ѻ҆те́чество на рабꙋ̀ твою̀ и҆ рѣ́ша: да́й оу҆би́вшаго бра́та своего̀, и҆ оу҆мертви́мъ є҆го̀ вмѣ́стѡ дꙋшѝ бра́та, є҆го́же оу҆бѝ, и҆ погꙋби́мъ и҆ наслѣ́дника ва́шего: и҆ оу҆гасѧ́тъ и҆́скрꙋ мою̀ ѡ҆ста́вшꙋюсѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ не ѡ҆ста́вити мꙋ́жꙋ моемꙋ̀ ѡ҆ста́нка и҆ и҆́мене на лицы̀ землѝ.	And behold the whole family rose up against thine handmaid, and they said, Give up the one that smote his brother, and we will put him to death for the life of his brother, whom he slew, and we will take away even your heir: so they will quench my coal that is left, so as not to leave my husband remnant or name on the face of the earth.

И҆ речѐ ца́рь къ женѣ̀: и҆дѝ здра́ва въ до́мъ сво́й, и҆ а҆́зъ заповѣ́даю ѡ҆ тебѣ̀.	And the king said to the woman, Go in peace to thy house, and I will give commandment concerning thee.
9	9
И҆ речѐ жена̀ ѳекѡі́тѧнынѧ ко царю̀: на мнѣ̀ беззако́нїе, го́споди мо́й царю̀, и҆ на домꙋ̀ ѻ҆тца̀ моегѡ̀, ца́рь же и҆ престо́лъ є҆гѡ̀ непови́ненъ.	And the woman of Thecoe said to the king, On me, my lord, O king, and on my father's house be the iniquity, and the king and his throne be guiltless.
10	10
И҆ речѐ ца́рь: кто̀ глаго́лѧй къ тебѣ̀, и҆ приведе́ши є҆го̀ ко мнѣ̀, и҆ не приложи́тъ ктомꙋ̀ коснꙋ́тисѧ є҆мꙋ̀;	And the king said, Who was it that spoke to thee? thou shalt even bring him to me, and one shall not touch him any more.
11	11
И҆ речѐ жена̀: да воспомѧ́нетъ нн҃ѣ ца́рь гдⷭ҇а бг҃а своего̀, внегда̀ оу҆мно́жити оу҆́жика кро́ве, є҆́же растли́ти, и҆ не и҆́мꙋтъ погꙋби́ти сы́на моего̀. И҆ речѐ (ца́рь): жи́въ гдⷭ҇ь, а҆́ще и҆ вла́съ паде́тъ сы́нꙋ твоемꙋ̀ съ главы̀ на зе́млю.	And she said, Let now the king remember concerning his Lord God in that the avenger of blood is multiplied to destroy, and let them not take away my son. And he said, As the Lord lives, not a hair of thy son shall fall to the ground.

И҆ речѐ жена̀: да глаго́летъ нн҃ѣ раба̀ твоѧ̀ ко господи́нꙋ моемꙋ̀ царю̀ сло́во. Ѻ҆́нъ же речѐ: глаго́ли.	And the woman said, Let now thy servant speak a word to my lord the king. And he said, Say on.
13	13
И҆ речѐ жена̀: почто̀ помы́слилъ є҆сѝ та́кѡ ѡ҆ лю́дехъ бж҃їихъ; є҆да̀ ѿ оу҆́стъ царе́выхъ сло́во сїѐ а҆́ки престꙋпле́нїе, є҆́же не возврати́ти царю̀ ѿринове́ннагѡ своегѡ̀;	And the woman said, Why hast thou devised this thing against the people of God? or is this word out of the king's mouth as a transgression, so that the king should not bring back his banished?
14	14
ꙗ҆́кѡ сме́ртїю оу҆́мремъ, и҆ ꙗ҆́кѡ вода̀ низходѧ́щаѧ на зе́млю, ꙗ҆́же не собере́тсѧ, и҆ прїи́метъ бг҃ъ дꙋ́шꙋ, и҆ помышлѧ́ѧй спастѝ ѿ негѡ̀ ѿринове́ннаго:	For we shall surely die, and be as water poured upon the earth, which shall not be gathered up, and God shall take the life, even as he devises to thrust forth from him his outcast.

и҆ нн҃ѣ ꙗ҆́кѡ прїидо́хъ глаго́лати ко царю̀ господи́нꙋ моемꙋ̀ глаго́лъ се́й, ꙗ҆́кѡ оу҆ви́дѧтъ мѧ̀ лю́дїе, и҆ рече́тъ раба̀ твоѧ̀: да глаго́летъ оу҆̀бо ко господи́нꙋ моемꙋ̀ царю̀, не́гли сотвори́тъ ца́рь сло́во рабы̀ своеѧ̀,	And now whereas I came to speak this word to my lord the king, the reason is that the people will see me, and thy handmaid will say, Let one now speak to my lord the king, if peradventure the king will perform the request of his handmaid;

ꙗ҆́кѡ оу҆слы́шитъ ца́рь: да и҆́зметъ рабꙋ̀ свою̀ и҆з̾ рꙋ́къ мꙋже́й и҆́щꙋщихъ погꙋби́ти мѧ̀ и҆ сы́на моего̀ ѿ оу҆ча́стїѧ бж҃їѧ:	for the king will hear. Let him rescue his handmaid out of the hand of the man that seeks to cast out me and my son from the inheritance of God.
17	17
и҆ рече́тъ раба̀ твоѧ̀: да бꙋ́детъ нн҃ѣ сло́во го́спода моегѡ̀ царѧ̀ на же́ртвꙋ: ꙗ҆́коже бо а҆́гг҃лъ бж҃їй, та́кѡ госпо́дь мо́й ца́рь, є҆́же слы́шати благо́е и҆ ѕло́е: и҆ гдⷭ҇ь бг҃ъ тво́й бꙋ́детъ съ тобо́ю.	And the woman said, If now the word of my lord the king be gracious,—well: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king, to hear good and evil: and the Lord thy God shall be with thee.

И҆ ѿвѣща̀ ца́рь и҆ речѐ къ женѣ̀: ника́коже да оу҆таи́ши ѿ менє̀ глаго́ла, ѡ҆ не́мже а҆́зъ вопрошꙋ́ тѧ. И҆ речѐ жена̀: да глаго́летъ оу҆̀бо госпо́дь мо́й ца́рь.	And the king answered, and said to the woman, Hide not from me, I pray thee, the matter which I ask thee. And the woman said, Let my lord the king by all means speak.
19	19
И҆ речѐ ца́рь: є҆да̀ рꙋка̀ і҆ѡа́влѧ ѡ҆ все́мъ се́мъ съ тобо́ю; И҆ речѐ жена̀ къ царю̀: да живе́тъ дꙋша̀ твоѧ̀, го́споди мо́й царю̀, а҆́ще є҆́сть ѡ҆деснꙋ́ю и҆лѝ ѡ҆шꙋ́юю ѿ всѣ́хъ, ꙗ҆̀же глаго́ла господи́нъ мо́й ца́рь, ꙗ҆́кѡ ра́бъ тво́й і҆ѡа́въ то́й заповѣ́да мнѣ̀, и҆ то́й вложѝ во оу҆ста̀ рабѣ̀ твое́й всѧ̑ словеса̀ сїѧ̑:	And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab in all this matter with thee? and the woman said to the king, As thy soul lives, my lord, O king, there is no turning to the right hand or to the left from all that my lord the king has spoken; for thy servant Joab himself charged me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thine handmaid.
20	20
за є҆́же прїитѝ лицꙋ̀ глаго́ла сегѡ̀, є҆́же сотворѝ ра́бъ тво́й і҆ѡа́въ сло́во сїѐ: господи́нъ же мо́й ца́рь мꙋ́дръ, ꙗ҆́коже мꙋ́дрость а҆́гг҃ла бж҃їѧ, є҆́же разꙋмѣ́ти всѧ̑, ꙗ҆̀же на землѝ.	In order that this form of speech might come about it was that thy servant Joab has framed this matter: and my lord is wise as is the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all things that are in the earth.
21	21
И҆ речѐ ца́рь ко і҆ѡа́вꙋ: сѐ, нн҃ѣ сотвори́хъ тѝ по словесѝ твоемꙋ̀ семꙋ̀: и҆дѝ, возвратѝ ѻ҆́трока а҆вессалѡ́ма.	And the king said to Joab, Behold now, I have done to thee according to this thy word: go, bring back the young man Abessalom.
22	22
И҆ падѐ на лицы̀ свое́мъ і҆ѡа́въ на зе́млю, и҆ поклони́сѧ, и҆ благословѝ царѧ̀. И҆ речѐ і҆ѡа́въ: дне́сь позна̀ ра́бъ тво́й, ꙗ҆́кѡ ѡ҆брѣто́хъ благода́ть пред̾ ѻ҆чи́ма твои́ма, го́споди мо́й царю̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ сотворѝ господи́нъ мо́й ца́рь сло́во раба̀ своегѡ̀.	And Joab fell on his face to the ground, and did obeisance, and blessed the king: and Joab said, To-day thy servant knows that I have found grace in thy sight, my lord, O king, for my lord the king has performed the request of his servant.

И҆ воста̀ і҆ѡа́въ и҆ и҆́де въ гедсꙋ́ръ, и҆ приведѐ а҆вессалѡ́ма во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ.	And Joab arose, and went to Gedsur, and brought Abessalom to Jerusalem.
24	24
И҆ речѐ ца́рь: да возврати́тсѧ въ до́мъ сво́й, лица̀ же моегѡ̀ да не ви́дитъ. И҆ возврати́сѧ а҆вессалѡ́мъ въ до́мъ сво́й, лица̀ же царе́ва не ви́дѣ.	And the king said, Let him return to his house, and not see my face. And Abessalom returned to his house, and saw not the king's face.
25	25
И҆ ꙗ҆́коже а҆вессалѡ́мъ не бѣ̀ мꙋ́жъ во все́мъ і҆и҃ли хва́ленъ ѕѣлѡ̀: ѿ пѧты̀ ногѝ є҆гѡ̀ и҆ до верха̀ є҆гѡ̀ не бѣ̀ въ не́мъ поро́ка:	And there was not a man in Israel so very comely as Abessalom: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
26	26
и҆ внегда̀ стрищѝ є҆мꙋ̀ главꙋ̀ свою̀, и҆ бы́сть ѿ нача́ла дні́й до дні́й въ нѧ́же стрижа́шесѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ тѧ́жко бѧ́ше є҆мꙋ̀ ѿ ни́хъ, и҆ стригꙋ́щьсѧ вѣ́сѧше власы̀ главы̀ своеѧ̀ двѣ́сти сі́клей по сі́клю ца́рскомꙋ.	And when he polled his head, (and it was at the beginning of every year that he polled it, because it grew heavy upon him,) even when he polled it, he weighed the hair of his head, two hundred shekels according to the royal shekel.
27	27
И҆ роди́шасѧ а҆вессалѡ́мꙋ трѝ сы́ны и҆ дще́рь є҆ди́на, и҆ и҆́мѧ є҆́й ѳама́рь: сїѧ̀ бѣ̀ жена̀ добра̀ ѕѣлѡ̀ взо́ромъ, и҆ бы́сть жена̀ ровоа́мꙋ сы́нꙋ соломѡ́ню, и҆ родѝ є҆мꙋ̀ а҆ві́ю.	And there were born to Abessalom three sons and one daughter, and her name was Themar: she was a very beautiful woman, and she becomes the wife of Roboam son of Solomon, and she bears to him Abia.
28	28
И҆ сѣдѧ́ше а҆вессалѡ́мъ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ два̀ лѣ̑та дні́й, и҆ лица̀ царе́ва не ви́дѣ.	And Abessalom remained in Jerusalem two full years, and he saw not the king's face.
29	29
И҆ посла̀ а҆вессалѡ́мъ ко і҆ѡа́вꙋ, дабы̀ посла́ти є҆го̀ ко царю̀, и҆ не восхотѣ̀ прїитѝ къ немꙋ̀: и҆ посла̀ второ́е къ немꙋ̀, и҆ не восхотѣ̀ прїитѝ.	And Abessalom sent to Joab to bring him in to the king, and he would not come to him: and he sent to him the second time, and he would not come.
30	30
И҆ речѐ а҆вессалѡ́мъ ко ѻ҆трокѡ́мъ свои̑мъ: ви́дите, ча́сть на селѣ̀ і҆ѡа́вли бли́з̾ менє̀, є҆гѡ̀ та́мѡ ꙗ҆чме́нь, и҆ди́те и҆ запали́те є҆го̀ ѻ҆гне́мъ. И҆ запали́ша рабѝ а҆вессалѡ̑мли ча́сть (і҆ѡа́влю) ѻ҆гне́мъ. И҆ прїидо́ша рабѝ і҆ѡа̑вли къ немꙋ̀ раздра́вше ри̑зы своѧ̑, и҆ рѣ́ша: пожго́ша рабѝ а҆вессалѡ̑мли ча́сть твою̀ ѻ҆гне́мъ.	And Abessalom said to his servants, Behold, Joab's portion in the field is next to mine, and he has in it barley; go and set it on fire. And the servants of Abessalom set the field on fire: and the servants of Joab come to him with their clothes rent, and they said to him, The servants of Abessalom have set the field on fire.

И҆ воста̀ і҆ѡа́въ и҆ прїи́де ко а҆вессалѡ́мꙋ въ до́мъ, и҆ речѐ къ немꙋ̀: почто̀ сожго́ша рабѝ твоѝ ча́сть мою̀ ѻ҆гне́мъ;	And Joab arose, and came to Abessalom into the house, and said to him, Why have thy servants set my field on fire?
32	32
И҆ речѐ а҆вессалѡ́мъ ко і҆ѡа́вꙋ: сѐ, посыла́хъ къ тебѣ̀, глаго́лѧ: и҆дѝ сѣ́мѡ, и҆ послю́ тѧ ко царю̀, глаго́лѧ: почто̀ прїидо́хъ и҆з̾ гедсꙋ́ра; лꙋ́чше мѝ бѣ̀ бы́ти є҆щѐ та́мѡ: и҆ нн҃ѣ сѐ, лица̀ царе́ва не ви́дѣхъ: а҆́ще же є҆́сть во мнѣ̀ непра́вда, то̀ оу҆мертви́ мѧ.	And Abessalom said to Joab, Behold, I sent to thee, saying, Come hither, and I will send thee to the king, saying, Why did I come out of Gedsur? it would have been better for me to have remained there: and now, behold, I have not seen the face of the king; but if there is iniquity in me, then put me to death.

И҆ вни́де і҆ѡа́въ ко царю̀ и҆ возвѣстѝ є҆мꙋ̀. И҆ призва̀ а҆вессалѡ́ма, и҆ прїи́де ко царю̀, и҆ поклони́сѧ є҆мꙋ̀, и҆ падѐ лице́мъ свои́мъ на зе́млю пред̾ лице́мъ царе́вымъ, и҆ ѡ҆блобыза̀ ца́рь а҆вессалѡ́ма.	And Joab went in to the king, and brought him word: and he called Abessalom, and he went in to the king, and did him obeisance, and fell upon his face to the ground, even in the presence of the king; and the king kissed Abessalom.
