Chapter 12	Κεφάλαιο 12

And at that time Michael the great prince shall stand up, that stands over the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of tribulation, such tribulation as has not been from the time that there was a nation on the earth until that time: at that time thy people shall be delivered, even every one that is written in the book.	ΚΑΙ ἐγὼ ἐν ἔτει πρώτῳ Κύρου ἔστην εἰς κράτος καὶ ἰσχύν.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting shame.	καὶ νῦν ἀλήθειαν ἀναγγελῶ σοι· ἰδοὺ ἔτι τρεῖς βασιλεῖς ἀναστήσονται ἐν τῇ Περσίδι, καὶ ὁ τέταρτος πλουτήσει πλοῦτον μέγαν παρὰ πάντας· καὶ μετὰ τὸ κρατῆσαι αὐτὸν τοῦ πλούτου αὐτοῦ ἐπαναστήσεται πάσαις βασιλείαις ῾Ελλήνων.

And the wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and some of the many righteous as the stars for ever and ever.	καὶ ἀναστήσεται βασιλεὺς δυνατὸς καὶ κυριεύσει κυριείας πολλῆς καὶ ποιήσει κατὰ τό θέλημα αὐτοῦ.

And thou, Daniel, close the words, and seal the book to the time of the end; until many are taught, and knowledge is increased.	καὶ ὡς ἂν στῇ, ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ συντριβήσεται, καὶ διαιρεθήσεται εἰς τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὰ ἔσχατα αὐτοῦ, οὐδὲ κατὰ τὴν κυριείαν αὐτοῦ, ἣν ἐκυρίευσεν· ὅτι ἐκτιλήσεται ἡ βασιλεία αὐτοῦ καὶ ἑτέροις ἐκτὸς τούτων.

And I Daniel saw, and, behold, two others stood, one on one side of the bank of the river, and the other on the other side of the bank of the river.	καὶ ἐνισχύσει ὁ βασιλεὺς τοῦ νότου· καὶ εἷς τῶν ἀρχόντων αὐτοῦ ἐνισχύσει ἐπ' αὐτὸν καὶ κυριεύσει κυριείαν πολλὴν ἐπ' ἐξουσίας αὐτοῦ.

And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was over the water of the river, When will be the end of the wonders which thou hast mentioned?	καὶ μετὰ τὰ ἔτη αὐτοῦ συμμειγήσονται, καὶ θυγάτηρ βασιλέως τοῦ νότου εἰσελεύσεται πρὸς βασιλέα τοῦ βορρᾶ τοῦ ποιῆσαι συνθήκας μετ' αὐτοῦ· καὶ οὐ κρατήσει ἰσχύος βραχίονος, καὶ οὐ στήσεται τὸ σπέρμα αὐτοῦ, καὶ παραδοθήσεται αὐτὴ καὶ οἱ φέροντες αὐτὴν καὶ ἡ νεᾶνις καὶ ὁ κατισχύων αὐτὴν ἐν τοῖς καιροῖς.

And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was over the water of the river, and he lifted up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and sware by him that lives for ever, that it should be for a time of times and half a time: when the dispersion is ended they shall know all these things.	καὶ στήσεται ἐκ τοῦ ἄνθους τῆς ρίζης αὐτῆς τῆς ἑτοιμασίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἥξει πρὸς τὴν δύναμιν καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὰ ὑποστηρίγματα τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ποιήσει ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ κατισχύσει.

And I heard, but I understood not: and I said, O Lord, what will be the end of these things?	καί γε τοὺς θεοὺς αὐτῶν μετὰ τῶν χωνευτῶν αὐτῶν, πᾶν σκεῦος ἐπιθυμητὸν αὐτῶν ἀργυρίου καὶ χρυσίου, μετὰ αἰχμαλωσίας οἴσει εἰς Αἴγυπτον· καὶ αὐτὸς στήσεται ὑπὲρ βασιλέα τοῦ βορρᾶ.

And he said, Go, Daniel: for the words are closed and sealed up to the time of the end.	καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ νότου, καὶ ἀναστρέψει εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ.

Many must be tested, and thoroughly whitened, and tried with fire, and sanctified; but the transgressors shall transgress: and none of the transgressors shall understand; but the wise shall understand.	καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ συνάξουσιν ὄχλον δυνάμεων πολλῶν, καὶ ἐλεύσεται ἐρχόμενος καὶ κατακλύζων· καὶ παρελεύσεται καὶ καθίεται καὶ συμπροσπλακήσεται ἕως τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ.

And from the time of the removal of the perpetual sacrifice, when the abomination of desolation shall be set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.	καὶ ἀγριανθήσεται βασιλεὺς τοῦ νότου καὶ ἐξελεύσεται καὶ πολεμήσει μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ βορρᾶ· καὶ στήσει ὄχλον πολύν, καὶ παραδοθήσεται ὁ ὄχλος ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ·

Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.	καὶ λήψεται τὸν ὄχλον, καὶ ὑψωθήσεται ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ, καὶ καταβαλεῖ μυριάδας καὶ οὐ κατισχύσει.
13	13
But go thou, and rest; for there are yet days and seasons to the fulfilment of the end; and thou shalt stand in thy lot at the end of the days.	καί ἐπιστρέψει ὁ βασιλεὺς τοῦ βορρᾶ καὶ ἄξει ὄχλον πολὺν ὑπὲρ τὸν πρότερον καὶ εἰς τὸ τέλος τῶν καιρῶν ἐνιαυτῶν ἐπελεύσεται εἰσόδια ἐν δυνάμει μεγάλῃ καὶ ἐν ὑπάρξει πολλῇ.
