In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by the hand of the prophet Aggæus, saying, Speak to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, of the tribe of Juda, and to Jesus the son of Josedec, the high priest, saying,	Во второ́е лѣ́то, при да́рїи царѝ, въ шесты́й мцⷭ҇ъ, въ пе́рвый (де́нь) мцⷭ҇а, бы́сть сло́во гдⷭ҇не рꙋко́ю а҆гге́а прⷪ҇ро́ка гл҃ѧ: рцы̀ къ зорова́велю салаѳїи́левꙋ ѿ колѣ́на і҆ꙋ́дова и҆ ко і҆исꙋ́сꙋ сы́нꙋ і҆ѡседе́ковꙋ, і҆ере́ю вели́комꙋ, глаго́лѧ:

Thus saith the Lord Almighty, saying, This people say, The time is not come to build the house of the Lord.	си́це гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель гл҃ѧ: лю́дїе сі́и глаго́лютъ: не прїи́де вре́мѧ созда́ти хра́мъ гдⷭ҇ень.

And the word of the Lord came by the hand of the prophet Aggæus, saying,	И҆ бы́сть сло́во гдⷭ҇не рꙋко́ю а҆гге́а прⷪ҇ро́ка гл҃ѧ:

Is it time for you to dwell in your ceiled houses, whereas our house is desolate?	а҆́ще вре́мѧ оу҆́бѡ ва́мъ є҆́сть жи́ти въ домѣ́хъ ва́шихъ и҆сте́саныхъ, хра́мъ же мо́й се́й запꙋстѣ̀;

And now thus saith the Lord Almighty; Consider your ways, I pray you.	И҆ нн҃ѣ си́це гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель: оу҆стро́йте сердца̀ ва̑ша въ пꙋти̑ ва́шѧ.
6	6
Ye have sown much, but brought in little; ye have eaten, and are not satisfied; ye have drunk, and are not satisfied with drink, ye have clothed yourselves, and have not become warm thereby: and he that earns wages has gathered them into a bag full of holes.	Сѣ́ѧсте мно́гѡ, и҆ взѧ́сте ма́лѡ: ꙗ҆до́сте, и҆ не въ сы́тость: пи́сте, и҆ не въ пїѧ́нство: ѡ҆блеко́стесѧ, и҆ не согрѣ́стесѧ въ ни́хъ: и҆ собира́ѧй мзды̑ собра̀ во влага́лище дира́во.

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Consider your ways.	Си́це гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель: положи́те сердца̀ ва̑ша въ пꙋти̑ ва́шѧ,
8	8
Go up to the mountain, and cut timber; build the house, and I will take pleasure in it, and be glorified, saith the Lord.	взы́дите на го́рꙋ и҆ оу҆сѣцы́те древа̀, и҆ принеси́те и҆ сози́ждите хра́мъ, и҆ бл҃говолю̀ въ не́мъ и҆ просла́влюсѧ, речѐ гдⷭ҇ь.

Ye looked for much, and there came little; and it was brought into the house, and I blew it away. Therefore thus saith the Lord Almighty, Because my house is desolate, and ye run every one into his own house;	Призрѣ́сте на мнѡ́га, и҆ бы́ша ма̑ла, и҆ внесо́сте ѧ҆̀ въ хра́мъ, и҆ ѿдꙋ́нꙋхъ ѧ҆̀: сегѡ̀ ра́ди си́це гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель: занѐ хра́мъ мо́й є҆́сть пꙋ́стъ, вы́ же тече́те кі́йждо въ до́мъ сво́й,

therefore shall the sky withhold dew, and the earth shall keep back her produce.	сегѡ̀ ра́ди оу҆держи́тсѧ не́бо ѿ росы̀, и҆ землѧ̀ ѡ҆скꙋди́тъ и҆зношє́нїѧ своѧ̑,

And I will bring a sword upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the wine, and upon the oil, and all that the earth produces, and upon the men, and upon the cattle, and upon all the labours of their hands.	и҆ наведꙋ̀ ме́чь на зе́млю и҆ на го́ры, и҆ на пшени́цꙋ и҆ на вїно̀ и҆ на є҆ле́й, и҆ на всѧ̑, є҆ли̑ка и҆зно́ситъ землѧ̀, и҆ на человѣ́ки и҆ на скоты̀ и҆ на всѧ̑ трꙋды̀ рꙋ́къ и҆́хъ.

And Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, of the tribe of Juda, and Jesus the son of Josedec, the high priest, and all the remnant of the people, hearkened to the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of the prophet Aggæus, according as the Lord their God had sent him to them, and the people feared before the Lord.	И҆ слы́ша зорова́вель салаѳїи́левъ ѿ колѣ́на і҆ꙋ́дова, и҆ і҆исꙋ́съ і҆ѡседе́ковъ, і҆ере́й вели́кїй, и҆ всѝ про́чїи лю́дїе гла́съ гдⷭ҇а бг҃а своегѡ̀ и҆ словеса̀ а҆гге́а прⷪ҇ро́ка, ꙗ҆́коже посла̀ є҆го̀ гдⷭ҇ь бг҃ъ и҆́хъ къ ни̑мъ, и҆ оу҆боѧ́шасѧ лю́дїе ѿ лица̀ гдⷭ҇нѧ.

And Aggæus the Lord's messenger spoke among the messengers of the Lord to the people, saying, I am with you, saith the Lord.	И҆ речѐ а҆гге́й вѣ́стникъ гдⷭ҇ень въ вѣ́стницѣхъ гдⷭ҇нихъ лю́демъ, глаго́лѧ: а҆́зъ є҆́смь съ ва́ми, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь.

And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, of the tribe of Juda, and the spirit of Jesus the son of Josedec, the high priest, and the spirit of the remnant of all the people; and they went in, and wrought in the house of the Lord Almighty their God,	И҆ воздви́же гдⷭ҇ь дꙋ́хъ зорова́велѧ салаѳїи́лева ѿ колѣ́на і҆ꙋ́дова и҆ дꙋ́хъ і҆исꙋ́са і҆ѡседе́кова, і҆ере́а вели́кагѡ, и҆ дꙋ́хъ про́чїихъ всѣ́хъ люді́й: и҆ внидо́ша и҆ творѧ́хꙋ дѣла̀ во хра́мѣ гдⷭ҇а вседержи́телѧ бг҃а своегѡ̀.

Chapter 2	Глава́ в҃

In the seventh month, on the twenty-first day of the month, the Lord spoke by Aggæus the prophet, saying,	Въ два́десѧть четве́ртый де́нь мцⷭ҇а шеста́гѡ, во второ́е лѣ́то, при да́рїи царѝ,

Speak now to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, of the tribe of Juda, and to Jesus the son of Josedec, the high priest, and to all the remnant of the people, saying,	въ седмы́й мцⷭ҇ъ, въ два́десѧть пе́рвый мцⷭ҇а, гл҃а гдⷭ҇ь рꙋко́ю а҆гге́а прⷪ҇ро́ка гл҃ѧ:

Who is there of you that saw this house in her former glory? and how do ye now look upon it, as it were nothing before your eyes?	рцы̀ нн҃ѣ къ зорова́велю салаѳїи́левꙋ ѿ колѣ́на і҆ꙋ́дова и҆ ко і҆исꙋ́сꙋ сы́нꙋ і҆ѡседе́ковꙋ, і҆ере́ю вели́комꙋ, и҆ ко всѣ̑мъ про́чїимъ лю́демъ, глаго́лѧ:

Yet now be strong, O Zorobabel, saith the Lord; and strengthen thyself, O Jesus the high priest, the son of Josedec; and let all the people of the land strengthen themselves, saith the Lord, and work, for I am with you, saith the Lord Almighty;	кто̀ ѿ ва́съ, и҆́же ви́дѣ хра́мъ се́й въ сла́вѣ є҆гѡ̀ пре́жней; и҆ ка́кѡ вы̀ ви́дите є҆го̀ нн҃ѣ ꙗ҆́коже не сꙋ́ща пред̾ ва́ми;

and my Spirit remains in the midst of you; be of good courage.	И҆ нн҃ѣ оу҆крѣплѧ́йсѧ, зорова́велю, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь, и҆ оу҆крѣплѧ́йсѧ, і҆исꙋ́се, сы́не і҆ѡседе́ковъ, і҆ере́ю вели́кїй, и҆ да оу҆крѣплѧ́ютсѧ всѝ лю́дїе землѝ, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь (вседержи́тель), и҆ твори́те: занѐ а҆́зъ съ ва́ми є҆́смь, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель:

For thus saith the Lord Almighty; Yet once I will shake the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;	сло́во, є҆́же завѣща́хъ съ ва́ми, є҆гда̀ и҆сходи́сте и҆з̾ землѝ є҆гѵ́петскїѧ, и҆ дх҃ъ мо́й настои́тъ посредѣ̀ ва́съ: дерза́йте, занѐ си́це гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель:

and I will shake all nations, and the choice portions of all the nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord Almighty.	є҆щѐ є҆ди́ною а҆́зъ потрѧсꙋ̀ не́бомъ и҆ земле́ю, и҆ мо́ремъ и҆ сꙋ́шею,
8	8
Mine is the silver, and mine the gold, saith the Lord Almighty.	и҆ сотрѧсꙋ̀ всѧ̑ ꙗ҆зы́ки, и҆ прїи́дꙋтъ и҆збра̑ннаѧ всѣ́хъ ꙗ҆зы́кѡвъ: и҆ и҆спо́лню хра́мъ се́й сла́вы, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель.

For the glory of this house shall be great, the latter more than the former, saith the Lord Almighty: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord Almighty, even peace of soul for a possession to every one that builds, to raise up this temple.	Моѐ сребро̀ и҆ моѐ зла́то, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель:

On the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Aggæus the prophet, saying,	занѐ ве́лїѧ бꙋ́детъ сла́ва хра́ма сегѡ̀ послѣ́днѧѧ па́че пе́рвыѧ, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель: и҆ на мѣ́стѣ се́мъ да́мъ ми́ръ, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель, и҆ ми́ръ дꙋшѝ въ снабдѣ́нїе всѧ́комꙋ зи́ждꙋщемꙋ, є҆́же возста́вити це́рковь сїю̀.

Thus saith the Lord Almighty; Inquire now of the priests concerning the law, saying,	Въ два́десѧть четве́ртый девѧ́тагѡ мцⷭ҇а, во второ́е лѣ́то при да́рїи царѝ, бы́сть сло́во гдⷭ҇не ко а҆гге́ю прⷪ҇ро́кꙋ гл҃ѧ:

If a man should take holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and the skirt of his garment should touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.	си́це гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь вседержи́тель: вопросѝ і҆ере́євъ зако́на глаго́лѧ:

And Aggæus said, If a defiled person who is unclean by reason of a dead body, touch any of these, shall it be defiled? And the priests answered and said, It shall be defiled.	а҆́ще прїи́метъ человѣ́къ мѧ́со ст҃о вскра́й ри́зы своеѧ̀, и҆ ко́снетсѧ кра́й ри́зы є҆гѡ̀ хлѣ́ба, и҆лѝ ва́рива, и҆лѝ вїна̀, и҆лѝ ма́сла, и҆лѝ всѧ́кагѡ бра́шна, є҆да̀ ѡ҆ст҃и́тсѧ; И҆ ѿвѣща́ша свѧще́нницы и҆ рѣ́ша: нѝ.
14	14
And Aggæus answered and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the Lord; and so are all the works of their hands: and whosoever shall approach them, shall be defiled because of their early burdens: they shall be pained because of their toils; and ye have hated him that reproved in the gates.	И҆ речѐ а҆гге́й: а҆́ще прико́снетсѧ ѡ҆скверне́ный и҆лѝ нечи́стый дꙋше́ю всѧ́комꙋ си́хъ, є҆да̀ ѡ҆скверни́тсѧ; И҆ ѿвѣща́ша і҆ере́є и҆ рѣ́ша: ѡ҆скверни́тсѧ.

And now consider, I pray you, from this day and beforetime, before they laid a stone on a stone in the temple of the Lord, what manner of men ye were.	И҆ ѿвѣща̀ а҆гге́й и҆ речѐ: си́це лю́дїе сі́и, и҆ си́це ꙗ҆зы́къ се́й предо мно́ю, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь, и҆ си́це всѧ̑ дѣла̀ рꙋ́къ и҆́хъ: и҆ и҆́же а҆́ще прибли́житсѧ та́мѡ, ѡ҆скверни́тсѧ за прїѧ̑тїѧ и҆́хъ оу҆́трєннѧѧ, поболѧ́тъ ѿ лица̀ лꙋка́вствъ свои́хъ, и҆ ненави́дѣсте во вратѣ́хъ ѡ҆блича́ющаго.
16	16
When ye cast into the corn-bin twenty measures of barley, and there were only ten measures of barley: and ye went to the vat to draw out fifty measures, and there were but twenty.	И҆ нн҃ѣ положи́те на сердца́хъ ва́шихъ ѿ днѐ сегѡ̀ и҆ вы́ше, пре́жде не́же положи́ти ка́мень на ка́мени въ хра́мѣ гдⷭ҇ни.

I smote you with barrenness, and with blasting, and all the works of your hands with hail; yet ye returned not to me, saith the Lord.	Кто̀ бы́сте, є҆гда̀ влага́сте въ мѣ́хъ ꙗ҆чме́не два́десѧть са̑тъ, и҆ бы́ша ꙗ҆чме́не де́сѧть са̑тъ; и҆ входи́сте въ подточи́лїе че́рпати пѧтьдесѧ́тъ мѣ́ръ, и҆ бы́ша два́десѧть.
18	18
Set your hearts now to think from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day when the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid;	Порази́хъ вы̀ непло́дїемъ и҆ вѣтротлѣ́нїемъ и҆ гра́домъ всѧ̑ дѣла̀ рꙋ́къ ва́шихъ, и҆ не ѡ҆брати́стесѧ ко мнѣ̀, гл҃етъ гдⷭ҇ь.
19	19
consider in your hearts, whether this shall be known on the corn-floor, and whether yet the vine, and the fig-tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive-trees that bear no fruit are with you: from this day will I bless you.	Оу҆стро́йте же сердца̀ ва̑ша ѿ сегѡ̀ днѐ и҆ да́лѣе, ѿ два́десѧть четве́ртагѡ днѐ девѧ́тагѡ мцⷭ҇а и҆ ѿ днѐ, въ ѻ҆́ньже ѡ҆снова́сѧ це́рковь гдⷭ҇нѧ: положи́те въ сердца́хъ ва́шихъ,

And the word of the Lord came the second time to Aggæus the prophet, on the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,	а҆́ще є҆щѐ позна́етсѧ на гꙋмнѣ̀, и҆ а҆́ще є҆щѐ вїногра́дъ, и҆ смѡ́кви, и҆ ꙗ҆́блонь, и҆ древа̀ ма̑сличнаѧ не творѧ̑щаѧ плода̀; ѿ днѐ сегѡ̀ блгⷭ҇влю̀.
21	21
Speak to Zorobabel the son of Salathiel, of the tribe of Juda, saying, I shake the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;	И҆ бы́сть сло́во гдⷭ҇не втори́цею ко а҆гге́ю прⷪ҇ро́кꙋ въ два́десѧть четве́ртый мцⷭ҇а гл҃ѧ:
22	22
and I will overthrow the thrones of kings, and I will destroy the power of the kings of the nations; and I will overthrow chariots and riders; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword striving against his brother.	рцы̀ къ зорова́велю сы́нꙋ салаѳїи́левꙋ ѿ колѣ́на і҆ꙋ́дова глаго́лѧ: а҆́зъ потрѧсꙋ̀ не́бомъ и҆ земле́ю, и҆ мо́ремъ и҆ сꙋ́шею,

In that day, saith the Lord Almighty, I will take thee, O Zorobabel, the son of Salathiel, my servant, saith the Lord, and will make thee as a seal: for I have chosen thee, saith the Lord Almighty.	и҆ превращꙋ̀ престо́лы царе́й, и҆ потреблю̀ си́лꙋ царе́й ꙗ҆зы́ческихъ, и҆ превращꙋ̀ колєсни́цы и҆ вса́дники, и҆ сни́дꙋтъ ко́ни и҆ вса́дницы и҆́хъ, кі́йждо во ѻ҆рꙋ́жїи на бра́та своего̀.
