The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Авраа́мъ роди́ Ісаа́ка. Ісаа́къ же роди́ Іа́кова. Іа́ковъ же роди́ Іу́ду и бра́тію єго́.
|
Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judah and his brethren;
|

Іу́да же роди́ Фаре́са и За́ру от Ѳама́ры. Фаре́съ же роди́ Єсро́ма. Єсро́мъ же роди́ Ара́ма.

and Judah begat Perez and Zerah of Tamar; and Perez begat Hezron; and Hezron begat Ram;
|

Ара́мъ же роди́ Амінада́ва. Амінада́въ же роди́ Наассо́на. Наассо́нъ же роди́ Салмо́на.
|
and Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon; and Nahshon begat Salmon;

|
Салмо́нъ же роди́ Воо́за от Раха́вы. Воо́зъ же роди́ Ови́да от Ру́ѳы. Ови́дъ же роди́ Ієссе́а.

and Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab; and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

Ієссе́й же роди́ Дави́да царя́. Дави́дъ же ца́рь роди́ Соломо́на от Урі́ины.
|
and Jesse begat David the king. And David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Uriah;

Соломо́нъ же роди́ Ровоа́ма. Ровоа́мъ же роди́ Аві́ю. Аві́а же роди́ А́су.
|
and Solomon begat Rehoboam; and Rehoboam begat Abijah; and Abijah begat Asa;
|

|
А́са же роди́ Іосафа́та. Іосафа́тъ же роди́ Іора́ма. Іора́мъ же роди́ Озі́ю.
|
and Asa begat Jehoshaphat; and Jehoshaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Uzziah;
|

|
Озі́а же роди́ Іоаѳа́ма. Іоаѳа́мъ же роди́ Аха́за. Аха́зъ же роди́ Єзекі́ю.
|
and Uzziah begat Jotham; and Jotham begat Ahaz; and Ahaz begat Hezekiah;
|

Єзекі́а же роди́ Манассі́ю. Манассі́а же роди́ Амо́на. Амо́нъ же роди́ Іосі́ю.
|
and Hezekiah begat Manasseh; and Manasseh begat Amon; and Amon begat Josiah;
|

|
Іосі́а же роди́ Ієхо́нію и бра́тію єго́, въ преселе́ніє Вавило́нскоє.
|
and Josiah begat Jechoniah and his brethren, at the time of the carrying away to Babylon.
|
|

|
По преселе́ніи же Вавило́нстѣмъ, Ієхо́ніа роди́ Салаѳі́иля. Салаѳі́иль же роди́ Зорова́веля.
|
And after the carrying away to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel; and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;

Зорова́вель же роди́ Авіу́да. Авіу́дъ же роди́ Єліакі́ма. Єліакі́мъ же роди́ Азо́ра.
|
and Zerubbabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;
|

|
Азо́ръ же роди́ Садо́ка. Садо́къ же роди́ Ахі́ма. Ахі́мъ же роди́ Єліу́да.
|
and Azor begat Zadok; and Zadok begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;
|

|
Єліу́дъ же роди́ Єлеаза́ра. Єлеаза́ръ же роди́ Матѳа́на. Матѳа́нъ же роди́ Іа́кова.
|
and Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
|

Іа́ковъ же роди́ Іо́сифа, му́жа Марі́ина, изъ Нея́же роди́ся Іису́съ, глаго́лемый Христо́съ.
|
and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
|

Всѣ́хъ же родо́въ от Авраа́ма до Дави́да ро́дове четырена́десяте: и от Дави́да до преселе́нія Вавило́нскаго ро́дове четырена́десяте: и от преселе́нія Вавило́нскаго до Христа́ ро́дове четырена́десяте.
|
So all the generations from Abraham unto David are fourteen generations; and from David unto the carrying away to Babylon fourteen generations; and from the carrying away to Babylon unto the Christ fourteen generations.
|

Іису́съ Христо́во Рождество́ си́це бѣ́: обруче́ннѣй бо бы́вши Ма́тери Єго́ Марі́и Іо́сифови, пре́жде да́же не сни́тися и́ма, обрѣ́теся иму́щи во чре́вѣ от Ду́ха Свя́та.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Іо́сифъ же му́жъ Єя́, пра́веденъ сы́й и не хотя́ Єя́ обличи́ти, восхотѣ́ та́й пусти́ти Ю́.
|
And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
|

Сія́ же єму́ помы́слившу, се́, А́нгелъ Госпо́день во снѣ́ яви́ся єму́, глаго́ля: Іо́сифе, сы́не Дави́довъ, не убо́йся прія́ти Маріа́мъ жены́ твоєя́: ро́ждшеєбося въ Не́й, от Ду́ха є́сть Свя́та:

But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

роди́тъ же Сы́на, и нарече́ши и́мя Єму́ Іису́съ: То́й бо спасе́тъ лю́ди Своя́ от грѣ́хъ и́хъ.
|
And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.

Сіє́ же все́ бы́сть, да сбу́дется рече́нноє от Го́спода проро́комъ, глаго́лющимъ:
|
Now all this is come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,
|

|
се́, Дѣ́ва во чре́вѣ пріи́метъ и роди́тъ Сы́на, и нареку́тъ и́мя Єму́ Ємману́илъ, є́же є́сть сказа́ємо: съ на́ми Бо́гъ.
|
Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.

Воста́въ же Іо́сифъ от сна́, сотвори́ я́коже повелѣ́ єму́ А́нгелъ Госпо́день, и прія́тъ жену́ свою́,

And Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took unto him his wife;
|

|
и не зна́яше Єя́, до́ндеже роди́ Сы́на Своєго́ пе́рвенца, и нарече́ и́мя Єму́ Іису́съ.
|
and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
