13
13
И$хже сіE число2 бЁ: возливaлницъ златhхъ тhсzща, и3 возливaлницъ срeбрzныхъ тhсzща, кади1лницъ срeбрzныхъ двaдесzть дeвzть, фі†лъ златhхъ три1десzть, срeбрzныхъ двЁ тhсzщы четhре ст† и3 дeсzть, и3 и3нhхъ сосyдwвъ тhсzща: And this was the number of them; A thousand golden cups, and a thousand of silver, censers of silver twenty-nine, vials of gold thirty, and of silver two thousand four hundred and ten, and a thousand other vessels.
14
14
всёхъ же сосyдwвъ пренесeныхъ златhхъ и3 срeбрzныхъ пsть тhсzщъ четhре ст† шестьдесsтъ дeвzть. So all the vessels of gold and of silver, which were carried away, were five thousand four hundred threescore and nine.

16
16
Во временёхъ же ґртаxeрxа царS пeрсскагw, восписaша є3мY на њбитaющихъ во їудeи и3 їеrли1мэ ви1лемосъ и3 міfрідaтъ, и3 тавeллій и3 раfЂмъ, и3 веелтefмъ и3 самeллій писeцъ, и3 пр0чіи соучинeнніи, њбитaющіи въ самарjи и3 во и3нhхъ мёстэхъ, нижепи1санное послaніе: But in the time of Artaxerxes king of the Persians Belemus, and Mithridates, and Tabellius, and Rathumus, and Beeltethmus, and Samellius the secretary, with the rest that were in commission with them, dwelling in Samaria and other places, wrote unto him against them that dwelt in Judea and Jerusalem this letter following;
17
17
To king Artaxerxes our lord, Thy servants, Rathumus the storywriter, and Samellius the scribe, and the rest of their council, and the judges that are in Celosyria and Phenice.
18
18
и3 нн7э знaемо да бyдетъ господи1ну царю2, ћкw їудeє, и5же взыд0ша t вaсъ, къ нaмъ пришeдшіи во їеrли1мъ грaдъ tмeтный и3 стропти1вый, созидaютъ тHржища є3гw2, и3 составлsютъ стёны є3гw2, и3 хрaмъ воздвизaютъ: Be it now known to the lord the king, that the Jews that are come up from you to us, being come into Jerusalem, that rebellious and wicked city, do build the marketplaces, and repair the walls of it, and do lay the foundation of the temple.
19
19
ѓще u5бо грaдъ т0й сози1ждетсz и3 стёны совершє1ны бyдутъ, не т0кмw дaни не потерпsтъ даsти, но и3 царє1мъ воспроти1вzтсz: Now if this city and the walls thereof be made up again, they will not only refuse to give tribute, but also rebel against kings.
20
20
ґ понeже дёйствуютсz ±же њ хрaмэ, прaвw бhти разсуждaемъ не презрёти сегw2, And forasmuch as the things pertaining to the temple are now in hand, we think it meet not to neglect such a matter,
21
21
но знaемо сотвори1ти господи1ну нaшему царю2, да ѓще возмни1тсz тебЁ, да взhщетсz въ кни1гахъ nтє1цъ твои1хъ, but to speak unto our lord the king, to the intent that, if it be thy pleasure, it may be sought out in the books of thy fathers:
22
22
и3 њбрsщеши въ лэтопи1сцэхъ пи1сано њ тёхъ, и3 познaеши, ћкw грaдъ т0й бsше tмeтникъ и3 царeй и3 грaды смущaющь, and thou shalt find in the chronicles what is written concerning these things, and shalt understand that that city was rebellious, troubling both kings and cities:
23
23
и3 їудeє tст{пницы, и3 њполчeніе сотворsюще въ нeмъ t вёка, є3sже рaди вины2 и3 грaдъ т0й њпустошeнъ бhсть: and that the Jews were rebellious, and raised always wars therein; for the which cause even this city was made desolate.
24
24
нн7э u5бо знaемо ти2 твори1мъ, господи1не царю2 ћкw ѓще грaдъ сeй создaнъ бyдетъ и3 стёны є3гw2 возстaвлєны бyдутъ, и3сх0ду тебЁ ктомY не бyдетъ въ кілисmрjю и3 фінікjю. Wherefore now we do declare unto thee, O lord the king, that if this city be built again, and the walls thereof set up anew, thou shalt from henceforth have no passage into Celosyria and Phenice.
25
25
ТогдA восписA цaрь раfЂму пи1шущему случaємаz и3 веелтefму и3 самeллію писцY и3 пр0чымъ, соучинє1нымъ и3 њбитaющымъ въ самарjи и3 сmрjи и3 фінікjи, сі‰ пи6санаz: Then the king wrote back again to Rathumus the storywriter, to Beeltethmus, to Semellius the scribe, and to the rest that were in commission, and dwellers in Samaria and Syria and Phenice, after this manner;
26
26
чт0хъ послaніе, є4же послaсте ко мнЁ: повелёхъ u5бо взыскaти, и3 њбрётено є4сть, ћкw грaдъ т0й є4сть t начaла царє1мъ противлsющьсz, I have read the epistle which ye have sent unto me: therefore I commanded to make diligent search, and it hath been found that that city was from the beginning practising against kings;
27
27
и3 человёцы tступлє1ніz и3 њполчeніе въ нeмъ сотворsюще, и3 цaріе крёпцы и3 жeстоцы бhша во їеrли1мэ, њбладaюще и3 д†ни налагaюще на кілисmрjю и3 фінікjю: and the men therein were given to rebellion and war: and that mighty kings and fierce were in Jerusalem, who reigned and exacted tributes in Celosyria and Phenice.
28
28
нн7э u5бо повелёхъ возбрани1ти человёкwмъ w4нымъ созидaти грaдъ и3 пред8усмотрsти, да ничт0же б0лэ си1хъ сотворsтъ, Now therefore I have commanded to hinder those men from building the city, and heed to be taken that there be no more done in it;
29
29
ни да происх0дzтъ бо мнHжайшаz лук†вства, во є4же царє1мъ трyдъ твори1ти. and that those wicked workers proceed no further to the annoyance of kings.
30
30
Then king Artaxerxes his letters being read, Rathumus, and Semellius the scribe, and the rest that were in commission with them, removing in haste toward Jerusalem with a troop of horsemen and a multitude of people in battle array, began to hinder the builders; and the building of the temple in Jerusalem ceased until the second year of the reign of Darius king of the Persians.
31
и3 начaша созидaющихъ ўдержавaти: и3 ўпраздни1сz созидaніе хрaма, и4же во їеrли1мэ, дaже до вторaгw лёта цaрства дaріа царS пeрсскагw.
