| Їудjfъ же падE на лицE, и3 возложи2 пeрсть на главY свою2, и3 сложи2, и4мже њдэвашесz, врeтище. И# бsше недaвнw приноси1мо во їеrли1мэ въ домY гDни кади1ло въ вeчеръ т0й, и3 возопи2 глсомъ вели1кимъ їудjfъ ко гDу и3 речE: | Then Judith fell upon her face, and put ashes upon her head, and uncovered the sackcloth wherewith she was clothed; and about the time that the incense of that evening was offered in Jerusalem in the house of the Lord, Judith cried with a loud voice, and said, |

| гDи, б9е nтцA моегw2 сmмеHна, є3мyже дaлъ є3си2 въ рyку мeчь во tмщeніе и3нор0дныхъ, и5же растли1ша ложеснA дэви6ча во њсквернeніе и3 њбнажи1ша нёдро въ срамотY и3 њскверни1ша ложеснA въ поношeніе, | O Lord God of my father Simeon, to whom thou gavest a sword to take vengeance of the strangers, who loosened the girdle of a maid to defile her, and discovered the thigh to her shame, and polluted her virginity to her reproach; for thou saidst, It shall not be so; and yet they did so: |

| рeклъ бо є3си2: да не бyдетъ тaкw: и3 сотвори1ша, за ±же дaлъ є3си2 кн‰зи и4хъ на ўбіeніе, и3 постeлю и4хъ, ћже вёдzше прельщeніе и4хъ, въ кр0вь, и3 порази1лъ є3си2 рабHвъ њ владhцэхъ и3 владhки на прест0лэхъ и4хъ, | wherefore thou gavest their rulers to be slain, so that they dyed their bed in blood, being deceived, and smotest the servants with their lords, and the lords upon their thrones; |

| и3 дaлъ є3си2 жєны2 и4хъ въ расхищeніе и3 дщє1ри и4хъ въ плэнeніе и3 вс‰ кwрhсти и4хъ въ раздэлeніе сынHмъ возлю1блєннымъ t тебє2, и5же и3 возревновaша рeвностію твоeю и3 мерзи1шасz њсквернeніемъ кр0ве своеS и3 призвaша тS въ пом0щника: б9е, б9е м0й, и3 менe ўслhши вдовY: | and hast given their wives for a prey, and their daughters to be captives, and all their spoils to be divided among thy dear children; which were moved with thy zeal, and abhorred the pollution of their blood, and called upon thee for aid: O God, O my God, hear me also a widow. |

| тh бо сотвори1лъ є3си2, ±же прeжде џныхъ и3 w4наz, и3 ±же по си1хъ и3 ±же нн7э, и3 грzдyщаz проразумёлъ є3си2, и3 собhшасz, ±же мhслилъ є3си2, | For thou hast wrought not only those things, but also the things which fell out before, and which ensued after; thou hast thought upon the things which are now, and which are to come. |

| и3 предстaша, ±же ўстaвилъ є3си2, и3 рёша: сE, є3смы2: вси1 бо путіE твои2 гот0ви, и3 сyдъ тв0й во проразумёніи: | Yea, what things thou didst determine were ready at hand, and said, Lo, we are here: for all thy ways are prepared, and thy judgments are in thy foreknowledge. |

| сe бо, ґссmрjане ўмн0жишасz въ си1лэ своей, вознес0шасz њ кони2 и3 њ всaдницэ, возвеличaшасz въ мhшцэ пэшє1въ, ўповaша на щи1тъ и3 копіE и3 лyкъ и3 прaщу, и3 не познaша, ћкw ты2 є3си2 гDь сокрушazй бр†ни: | For, behold, the Assyrians are multiplied in their power; they are exalted with horse and man; they glory in the strength of their footmen; they trust in shield, and spear, and bow, and sling; and know not that thou art the Lord that breakest the battles: the Lord is thy name. |

| гDь и4мz тебЁ, ты2 сокруши2 и4хъ крёпость си1лою твоeю и3 низложи2 держaву и4хъ ћростію твоeю: ўсовётоваша бо њмерзи1ти с™†z тво‰, њскверни1ти селeніе ўпокоeніz и4мене слaвы твоеS и3 њпровeргнути желёзомъ р0гъ oлтарS твоегw2: | Throw down their strength in thy power, and bring down their force in thy wrath: for they have purposed to defile thy sanctuary and to pollute the tabernacle where thy glorious name resteth, and to cast down with sword the horn of thy altar. |

| воззри2 на г0рдость и4хъ, посли2 гнёвъ тв0й на главы6 и4хъ, дaждь въ рyку мою2 вд0вію, ю4же ўмhслихъ, крёпость, | Behold their pride, and send thy wrath upon their heads: give into mine hand, which am a widow, the power that I have conceived. |

| порази2 рабa t ўстeнъ хи1трости моеS њ кнsзи и3 кнsзz њ рабЁ є3гw2, сокруши2 гордhню и4хъ рук0ю жeнскою: | Smite by the deceit of my lips the servant with the prince, and the prince with the servant: break down their stateliness by the hand of a woman. |

| не бо2 во мн0жествэ крёпость твоS, нижE могyтство твоE въ си1льныхъ, но смирeнныхъ є3си2 бGъ, малёйшихъ є3си2 пом0щникъ, застyпникъ немощнhхъ, tчazнныхъ покрови1тель, ненадeжныхъ с}си1тель: | For thy power standeth not in multitude, nor thy might in strong men: for thou art a God of the afflicted, thou art an helper of the oppressed, an upholder of the weak, a protector of the forlorn, a saviour of them that are without hope. |

| є4й, є4й, б9е nтцA моегw2 и3 б9е наслeдіz ї}лева, вLко небeсъ и3 земли2, создaтелю в0дъ, цRю2 всеS?\ори твоеS, ты2 ўслhши молeніе моE | I pray thee, I pray thee, O God of my father, and God of the inheritance of Israel, Lord of the heavens and earth, Creator of the waters, King of every creature, hear thou my prayer: |

| и3 дaждь сл0во моE и3 хи1трость въ ћзву и3 рaну и4хъ и5же проти1ву завёта твоегw2 и3 д0му њсщ7eннагw твоегw2, и3 въ верхA сіHнz и3 д0му њдержaніz сынHвъ твои1хъ ўсовэтовaша жeстwкаz, | and make my speech and deceit to be their wound and stripe, who have purposed cruel things against thy covenant, and thy hallowed house, and against the top of Sion, and against the house of the possession of thy children. |

| и3 сотвори2 во всeмъ kзhцэ твоeмъ и3 во всeмъ плeмени познaніе, є4же вёдати, ћкw ты є3си, б9е бGъ всеS си1лы и3 держaвы, и3 нёсть и3нaгw защи1тника р0да ї}лева кромЁ тебє2. | And make every nation and tribe to acknowledge that thou art the God of all power and might, and that there is none other that protecteth the people of Israel but thou. |
