Прїи́де же ровоа́мъ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ, и҆ созва̀ (ве́сь) до́мъ і҆ꙋ́динъ и҆ венїамі́нь, сто̀ ѻ҆́смьдесѧтъ ты́сѧщъ и҆збра́нныхъ ю҆́ношей творѧ́щихъ бра́нь, и҆ воева́ше проти́вꙋ і҆и҃лѧ и҆ і҆еровоа́ма, да ѡ҆брати́тъ къ себѣ̀ ца́рство.	And Roboam came to Jerusalem; and he assembled Juda and Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand young men fit for war, and he waged war with Israel to recover the kingdom to Roboam.

И҆ бы́сть сло́во гдⷭ҇не къ саме́ю человѣ́кꙋ бж҃їю, гл҃ѧ:	And the word of the Lord came to Samaias the man of God, saying,

глаго́ли къ ровоа́мꙋ сы́нꙋ соломѡ́ню, царю̀ і҆ꙋ́динꙋ, и҆ ко всемꙋ̀ і҆и҃лю, и҆́же є҆́сть во і҆ꙋ́дѣ и҆ венїамі́нѣ:	Speak to Roboam the son of Solomon, and to all Juda and Benjamin, saying,

сїѧ̑ речѐ гдⷭ҇ь: не восходи́те, нижѐ ѡ҆полча́йтесѧ проти́вꙋ бра́тїи ва́шеѧ: возврати́тесѧ кі́йждо въ до́мъ сво́й, занѐ ѿ менє̀ бы́сть гл҃го́лъ се́й. И҆ послꙋ́шаша сло́ва гдⷭ҇нѧ, и҆ возврати́шасѧ, и҆ не поидо́ша проти́вꙋ і҆еровоа́ма.	Thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, and ye shall not war against your brethren: return every one to his home; for this thing is of me. And they hearkened to the word of the Lord, and returned from going against Jeroboam.

Ѡ҆бита́ же ровоа́мъ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ и҆ созда̀ гра́ды стѣна̑ты во і҆ꙋде́и:	And Roboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and he built walled cities in Judæa.

состро́и же виѳлее́мъ и҆ є҆та́мъ, и҆ ѳекꙋѐ	And he built Bethleem, and Ætan and Thecoe,
7	7
и҆ веѳсꙋ́ръ, и҆ сокхѡ́ѳъ и҆ ѻ҆долла́мъ,	and Bæthsura, and Sochoth, and Odollam,
8	8
и҆ ге́ѳъ и҆ марїса́нъ, и҆ зі́фъ	and Geth, and Marisa, and Ziph,
9	9
и҆ а҆дꙋре́мъ, и҆ лахі́съ и҆ а҆зи́кꙋ,	and Adorai, and Lachis, and Azeca,
10	10
и҆ сала́ю и҆ є҆лѡ́нъ и҆ хеврѡ́нъ, и҆́же є҆́сть і҆ꙋ́динъ и҆ венїамі́нь, гра́ды крѣ̑пкїѧ:	and Saraa, and Ælom, and Chebron, which belongs to Juda and Benjamin, walled cities.

и҆ оу҆крѣпѝ и҆̀хъ стѣна́ми, и҆ поста́ви въ ни́хъ нача́лники, житохрани̑лища, и҆ є҆ле́й и҆ вїно̀,	And he fortified them with walls, and placed in them captains, and stores of provisions, oil and wine,

во всѧ́цѣмъ гра́дѣ щиты̀ и҆ ко́пїѧ, и҆ оу҆крѣпѝ и҆̀хъ во мно́жествѣ ѕѣлѡ̀, и҆ бы́ста под̾ ни́мъ і҆ꙋ́да и҆ венїамі́нъ.	shields and spears in every several city, and he fortified them very strongly, and he had on his side Juda and Benjamin.

Свѧще́нницы же и҆ леѵі́ты, и҆̀же бѧ́хꙋ во все́мъ і҆и҃ли, собра́шасѧ къ немꙋ̀ ѿ всѣ́хъ предѣ̑лъ:	And the priests and the Levites who were in all Israel were gathered to him out of all the coasts.

ꙗ҆́кѡ ѡ҆ста́виша леѵі́ти селє́нїѧ ѡ҆держа́нїѧ своегѡ̀ и҆ поидо́ша ко і҆ꙋ́дѣ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ, поне́же и҆згна̀ и҆̀хъ і҆еровоа́мъ и҆ сы́нове є҆гѡ̀, є҆́же не слꙋжи́ти гдⷭ҇еви:	For the Levites left the tents of their possession, and went to Juda to Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons had ejected them so that they should not minister to the Lord.
15	15
и҆ поста́ви себѣ̀ жерцы̀ на высо́кихъ, и҆ і҆́дѡлѡмъ, и҆ сꙋ́єтнымъ, и҆ телцє́мъ, и҆̀хже сотворѝ і҆еровоа́мъ.	And he made for himself priests of the high places, and for the idols, and for the vanities, and for the calves which Jeroboam made.
16	16
И҆ и҆згна̀ и҆̀хъ ѿ всѣ́хъ колѣ́нъ і҆и҃левыхъ, и҆̀же вда́ша се́рдце своѐ, да взы́щꙋтъ гдⷭ҇а бг҃а і҆и҃лева: и҆ прїидо́ша во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ пожре́ти гдⷭ҇ꙋ бг҃ꙋ ѻ҆тє́цъ свои́хъ:	And he cast out from the tribes of Israel those who set their heart to seek the Lord God of Israel: and they came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers.
17	17
и҆ оу҆крѣпи́ша ца́рство і҆ꙋ́дино. И҆ оу҆крѣпи́сѧ ровоа́мъ сы́нъ соломѡ́нь въ трѝ лѣ̑та, хожда́ше бо по пꙋтє́мъ даві́да и҆ соломѡ́на ѻ҆тца̀ своегѡ̀ лѣ̑та трѝ.	And they strengthened the kingdom of Juda; and Juda strengthened Roboam the son of Solomon for three years, for he walked three years in the ways of David and Solomon.
18	18
И҆ взѧ̀ себѣ̀ ровоа́мъ женꙋ̀ моола́ѳꙋ, дще́рь і҆ерїмѡ́ѳа сы́на даві́дова, и҆ а҆вїге́ю дще́рь є҆лїа́ва сы́на і҆ессе́ова.	And Roboam took to himself for a wife Moolath daughter of Jerimuth the son of David, and Abigaia daughter of Heliab the son of Jessæ.
19	19
И҆ родѝ є҆мꙋ̀ сы́ны: і҆еꙋ́са и҆ саморі́а и҆ заа́ма.	And she bore him sons; Jeus, and Samoria, and Zaam.
20	20
По си́хъ же поѧ̀ себѣ̀ маа́хꙋ дще́рь а҆вессалѡ́млю, и҆ родѝ є҆мꙋ̀ а҆ві́ю и҆ і҆еѳѳі́а, и҆ зі́зꙋ и҆ салимѡ́ѳа.	And afterwards he took to himself Maacha the daughter of Abessalom; and she bore him Abia, and Jetthi, and Zeza, and Salemoth.
21	21
И҆ возлюбѝ ровоа́мъ маа́хꙋ дще́рь а҆вессалѡ́млю па́че всѣ́хъ же́нъ свои́хъ и҆ подло́жницъ свои́хъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ же́нъ ѻ҆смьна́десѧть и҆мѣ̀ и҆ подло́жницъ шестьдесѧ́тъ: и҆ родѝ два́десѧть ѻ҆́смь сынѡ́въ и҆ шестьдесѧ́тъ дще́рей.	And Roboam loved Maacha the daughter of Abessalom more than all his wives and all his concubines: for he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines; and he begot twenty-eight sons, and sixty daughters.

И҆ поста́ви въ нача́лника ровоа́мъ а҆ві́ю сы́на маа́хина и҆ кнѧ́земъ над̾ все́ю бра́тїею є҆гѡ̀, того̀ бо и҆ царе́мъ сотвори́ти помышлѧ́ше.	And he made Abia the son of Maacha chief, even a leader among his brethren, for he intended to make him king.
23	23
И҆ возрастѐ па́че всѣ́хъ бра́тїй свои́хъ во всѣ́хъ предѣ́лѣхъ і҆ꙋ́диныхъ и҆ венїамі́нихъ и҆ во градѣ́хъ крѣ́пкихъ, и҆ дадѐ и҆̀мъ пи́щи мно́жество мно́го, и҆ мно́гихъ взыска̀ же́нъ.	And he was exalted beyond all his other sons in all the coasts of Juda and Benjamin, and in the strong cities; and he gave them provisions in great abundance: and he desired many wives.
