И҆ оу҆́спе а҆ві́а со ѻ҆тцы̑ свои́ми, и҆ погребо́ша є҆го̀ во гра́дѣ даві́довѣ. И҆ воцари́сѧ а҆́са сы́нъ є҆гѡ̀ вмѣ́стѡ є҆гѡ̀ во дни̑ же а҆́сы почѝ землѧ̀ і҆ꙋ́дина лѣ́тъ де́сѧть.	And he did that which was good and right in the sight of the Lord his God.

И҆ сотворѝ а҆́са благо́е и҆ пра́вое пред̾ гдⷭ҇емъ бг҃омъ свои́мъ:	And he removed the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and broke the pillars in pieces, and cut down the groves:

и҆ ѿве́рже ѻ҆лтари̑ чꙋжды́хъ и҆ высѡ́каѧ, и҆ сокрꙋшѝ і҆́дѡлы и҆ посѣчѐ дꙋбра̑вы:	and he told Juda to seek earnestly the Lord God of their fathers, and to perform the law and the commandments.

и҆ повелѣ̀ і҆ꙋ́дѣ, да взы́щетъ гдⷭ҇а бг҃а ѻ҆тє́цъ свои́хъ и҆ да сотвори́тъ зако́нъ є҆гѡ̀ и҆ за́пѡвѣди:	And he removed from all the cities of Juda the altars and the idols, and established in quietness

и҆ и҆зве́рже и҆з̾ всѣ́хъ градѡ́въ і҆ꙋ́диныхъ ѻ҆лтари̑ и҆ і҆́дѡлы, и҆ ца́рствова въ ми́рѣ.	fortified cities in the land of Juda; for the land was quiet, and he had no war in these years; for the Lord gave him rest.

И҆ созда̀ гра́ды крѣ̑пки въ землѝ і҆ꙋ́динѣ, занѐ въ поко́и бы́сть землѧ̀, и҆ не бѣ̀ є҆мꙋ̀ бра́ни въ лѣ̑та сїѧ̑, ми́ръ во гдⷭ҇ь дадѐ є҆мꙋ̀.	And he said to Juda, Let us fortify these cities, and make walls, and towers, and gates, and bars: we shall prevail over the land, for as we have sought out the Lord our God, he has sought out us, and has given us rest round about, and prospered us.

Рече́ же і҆ꙋ́дѣ: сози́ждемъ гра́ды сїѧ̑, и҆ сотвори́мъ стѣ́ны и҆ столпы̀, и҆ врата̀ и҆ верєѝ, до́ндеже земле́ю госпо́дствꙋемъ: занѐ ꙗ҆́коже взыска́хомъ гдⷭ҇а бг҃а на́шего, взыска̀ и҆ на́съ, и҆ воздадѐ на́мъ ми́ръ ѡ҆́крестъ, и҆ бл҃гопоспѣ́шствова на́мъ.	And Asa had a force of armed men bearing shields and spears in the land of Juda, even three hundred thousand, and in the land of Benjamin two hundred and eighty thousand targeteers and archers: all these were mighty warriors.

И҆ бы́сть си́ла а҆́сѣ ѻ҆рꙋжено́сцєвъ носѧ́щихъ щиты̀ и҆ ко́пїѧ въ землѝ і҆ꙋ́динѣ три́ста ты́сѧщъ, въ земли́ же венїамі́ни щи́тникѡвъ и҆ стрѣлцє́въ двѣ́сти ѻ҆́смьдесѧтъ ты́сѧщъ: всѝ сі́и во́ини си́льнїи.	And Zare the Ethiopian went out against them, with a force of a million, and three hundred chariots; and came to Maresa.

И҆зы́де же проти́вꙋ и҆́хъ зара́й є҆ѳїо́плѧнинъ съ си́лою въ ты́сѧщы ты́сѧщей, и҆ колесни́цъ три́ста, и҆ прїи́де да́же до мари́са.	And Asa went out to meet him, and set the battle in array in the valley north of Maresa.

И҆ и҆зы́де а҆́са проти́вꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ и҆ оу҆стро́и бра́нь въ де́бри на сѣ́веръ мари́са.	And Asa cried to the Lord his God, and said, O Lord, it is not impossible with thee to save by many or by few: strengthen us, O Lord our God; for we trust in thee, and in thy name have we come against this great multitude. O Lord our God, let not man prevail against thee.

И҆ возопѝ а҆́са ко гдⷭ҇ꙋ бг҃ꙋ своемꙋ̀ и҆ речѐ: гдⷭ҇и, не и҆знемо́жетъ оу҆ тебє̀ сп҃са́ти во мно́гихъ и҆ въ ма́лыхъ, оу҆крѣпѝ на́съ, гдⷭ҇и бж҃е на́шъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ на тѧ̀ оу҆пова́хомъ и҆ ѡ҆ и҆́мени твое́мъ и҆зыдо́хомъ на мно́жество мно́гое сїѐ: гдⷭ҇и бж҃е на́шъ, ты̀ є҆сѝ бг҃ъ, да не превозмо́жетъ проти́вꙋ тебє̀ человѣ́къ.	And the Lord smote the Ethiopians before Juda; and the Ethiopians fled.

И҆ поразѝ гдⷭ҇ь є҆ѳїо́пы пред̾ а҆́сою и҆ і҆ꙋ́дою и҆ бѣжа́ша є҆ѳїо́пи:	And Asa and his people pursued them to Gedor; and the Ethiopians fell, so that they could not recover themselves; for they were crushed before the Lord, and before his host; and they took many spoils.

и҆ погна̀ и҆̀хъ а҆́са и҆ лю́дїе є҆гѡ̀ да́же до гедѡ́ра: и҆ падо́ша є҆ѳїо́пи, да́же не бы́ти въ ни́хъ ѡ҆ста́нкꙋ, ꙗ҆́кѡ сотре́ни бы́ша пред̾ гдⷭ҇емъ и҆ пред̾ си́лою є҆гѡ̀, и҆ плѣни́ша кѡры́сти мнѡ́ги:	And they destroyed their towns round about Gedor; for a terror of the Lord was upon them: and they spoiled all their cities, for they had much spoil.

и҆ и҆зсѣко́ша вє́си и҆́хъ ѡ҆́крестъ гедѡ́ра, вели́къ бо стра́хъ гдⷭ҇ень ѡ҆б̾ѧ́тъ и҆̀хъ, и҆ плѣни́ша всѧ̑ гра́ды и҆́хъ, занѐ мнѡ́ги кѡры́сти бы́ша въ ни́хъ:	Also they destroyed the tents of cattle, and the Alimazons, and took many sheep and camels, and returned to Jerusalem.

и҆ кꙋ́щы скѡ́тскїѧ и҆ а҆мазо́нѡвъ и҆зсѣко́ша, и҆ взѧ́ша скота̀ мно́жество и҆ велблю́ды, и҆ возврати́шасѧ во і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мъ.
