| Са́ра же жена̀ а҆вра́млѧ не ражда́ше є҆мꙋ̀: бѧ́ше же є҆́й раба̀ є҆гѵ́птѧнынѧ, є҆́йже и҆́мѧ а҆́гарь. | And Sara the wife of Abram bore him no children; and she had an Egyptian maid, whose name was Agar. |

| Рече́ же са́ра ко а҆вра́мꙋ: сѐ, заключи́ мѧ гдⷭ҇ь, є҆́же не ражда́ти: вни́ди оу҆̀бо къ рабѣ̀ мое́й, да ча̑да сотворю̀ ѿ неѧ̀. Послꙋ́ша же а҆вра́мъ гла́са са́рина. | And Sara said to Abram, Behold, the Lord has restrained me from bearing, go therefore in to my maid, that I may get children for myself through her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sara. |

| И҆ пои́мши са́ра жена̀ а҆вра́млѧ а҆́гарь є҆гѵ́птѧныню рабꙋ̀ свою̀, по десѧтѝ лѣ́тѣхъ вселе́нїѧ а҆вра́млѧ въ землѝ ханаа́ни, дадѐ ю҆̀ въ женꙋ̀ а҆вра́мꙋ мꙋ́жꙋ своемꙋ̀. | So Sara the wife of Abram having taken Agar the Egyptian her handmaid, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Chanaan, gave her to Abram her husband as a wife to him. |

| И҆ вни́де ко а҆́гари, и҆ зача́тъ: и҆ ви́дѣ, ꙗ҆́кѡ во чре́вѣ и҆́мать, и҆ оу҆коре́на бы́сть госпожа̀ (є҆ѧ̀) пред̾ не́ю. | And he went in to Agar, and she conceived, and saw that she was with child, and her mistress was dishonoured before her. |

| И҆ речѐ са́ра ко а҆вра́мꙋ: ѡ҆би́да мѝ ѿ тебє̀: а҆́зъ да́хъ рабꙋ̀ мою̀ въ нѣ́дро твоѐ: ѻ҆на́ же ви́дѣвши, ꙗ҆́кѡ во чре́вѣ и҆́мать, оу҆коре́на бы́хъ пред̾ не́ю: сꙋдѝ бг҃ъ междꙋ̀ мно́ю и҆ тобо́ю. | And Sara said to Abram, I am injured by thee; I gave my handmaid into thy bosom, and when I saw that she was with child, I was dishonoured before her. The Lord judge between me and thee. |

| Рече́ же а҆вра́мъ къ са́рѣ: сѐ, раба̀ твоѧ̀ въ рꙋкꙋ̀ твоє́ю: творѝ є҆́й, ꙗ҆́коже тѝ є҆́сть оу҆го́дно. И҆ ѡ҆ѕло́би ю҆̀ са́ра: и҆ ѿбѣжѐ ѿ лица̀ є҆ѧ̀. | And Abram said to Sara, Behold thy handmaid is in thy hands, use her as it may seem good to thee. And Sara afflicted her, and she fled from her face. |

| И҆ ѡ҆брѣ́те ю҆̀ а҆́гг҃лъ гдⷭ҇ень оу҆ и҆сто́чника воды̀ въ пꙋсты́ни, оу҆ и҆сто́чника на пꙋтѝ сꙋ́ръ. | And an angel of the Lord found her by the fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Sur. |

| И҆ речѐ є҆́й а҆́гг҃лъ гдⷭ҇ень: а҆́гарь, рабо̀ са́рина, ѿкꙋ́дꙋ и҆́деши и҆ ка́мѡ грѧде́ши; И҆ речѐ: ѿ лица̀ са́ры госпожѝ моеѧ̀ а҆́зъ бѣгꙋ̀. | And the angel of the Lord said to her, Agar, Sara's maid, whence comest thou, and whither goest thou? and she said, I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sara. |

| Рече́ же є҆́й а҆́гг҃лъ гдⷭ҇ень: возврати́сѧ къ госпожѣ̀ свое́й и҆ покори́сѧ под̾ рꙋкꙋ̀ є҆ѧ̀. | And the angel of the Lord said to her, Return to thy mistress, and submit thyself under her hands. |

| И҆ речѐ є҆́й а҆́гг҃лъ гдⷭ҇ень: оу҆множа́ѧ оу҆мно́жꙋ сѣ́мѧ твоѐ, и҆ не сочте́тсѧ ѿ мно́жества. | And the angel of the Lord said to her, I will surely multiply thy seed, and it shall not be numbered for multitude. |

| И҆ речѐ є҆́й а҆́гг҃лъ гдⷭ҇ень: сѐ, ты̀ во чре́вѣ и҆́маши и҆ роди́ши сы́на, и҆ нарече́ши и҆́мѧ є҆мꙋ̀ і҆сма́илъ: ꙗ҆́кѡ оу҆слы́ша гдⷭ҇ь смире́нїе твоѐ: | And the angel of the Lord said to her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ismael, for the Lord hath hearkened to thy humiliation. |

| се́й бꙋ́детъ се́лный человѣ́къ: рꙋ́цѣ є҆гѡ̀ на всѣ́хъ, и҆ рꙋ́ки всѣ́хъ на него̀, и҆ пред̾ лице́мъ всеѧ̀ бра́тїи своеѧ̀ всели́тсѧ. | He shall be a wild man, his hands against all, and the hands of all against him, and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. |

| И҆ призва̀ а҆́гарь и҆́мѧ гдⷭ҇а гл҃ющагѡ къ не́й: ты̀ бг҃ъ призрѣ́вый на мѧ̀: ꙗ҆́кѡ речѐ: и҆́бо предо мно́ю ви́дѣхъ ꙗ҆́вльшагосѧ мнѣ̀. | And she called the name of the Lord God who spoke to her, Thou art God who seest me; for she said, For I have openly seen him that appeared to me. |

| Сегѡ̀ ра́ди прозва̀ кла́дѧзь то́й: кла́дѧзь, и҆дѣ́же предо мно́ю ви́дѣхъ: сѐ междꙋ̀ ка́дисомъ и҆ междꙋ̀ вара́домъ. | Therefore she called the well, The well of him whom I have openly seen; behold it is between Cades and Barad. |

| И҆ родѝ а҆́гарь а҆вра́мꙋ сы́на, и҆ наречѐ а҆вра́мъ и҆́мѧ сы́нꙋ своемꙋ̀, є҆го́же родѝ є҆мꙋ̀ а҆́гарь, і҆сма́илъ. | And Agar bore a son to Abram; and Abram called the name of his son which Agar bore to him, Ismael. |

| А҆вра́мъ же бѣ̀ лѣ́тъ ѻ҆сми́десѧти шестѝ, є҆гда̀ родѝ а҆́гарь а҆вра́мꙋ і҆сма́ила. | And Abram was eighty-six years old, when Agar bore Ismael to Abram. |
