Глава́ є҃	Chapter 5

1	1
(Заⷱ҇ ѳ҃і҃.) И҆ прїидо́ша на ѡ҆́нъ по́лъ мо́рѧ, во странꙋ̀ гадари́нскꙋю.	And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.

И҆ и҆злѣ́зшꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ и҆з̾ кораблѧ̀, а҆́бїе срѣ́те є҆го̀ ѿ гробѡ́въ человѣ́къ въ дꙋ́сѣ нечи́стѣ,	And when he was come out of the boat, straightaway there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,

и҆́же жили́ще и҆мѧ́ше во гробѣ́хъ, и҆ ни вери́гами никто́же можа́ше є҆го̀ свѧза́ти:	who had his dwelling in the tombs: and no man could bind him, no, not with a chain;

занѐ є҆мꙋ̀ мно́гажды пꙋ̑ты и҆ оу҆́жы (желѣ̑зны) свѧ́занꙋ сꙋ́щꙋ, и҆ растерза́тисѧ ѿ негѡ̀ оу҆́жємъ (желѣ̑знымъ) и҆ пꙋ́тѡмъ сокрꙋша́тисѧ: и҆ никто́же можа́ше є҆го̀ оу҆мꙋ́чити [оу҆кроти́ти]:	because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been rent asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: and no man had strength to tame him.

и҆ вы́нꙋ но́щь и҆ де́нь во гробѣ́хъ и҆ въ гора́хъ бѣ̀, вопїѧ̀ и҆ толкі́йсѧ ка́менїемъ.	And always, night and day, in the mountains and in the tombs, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.

Оу҆зрѣ́въ же і҆и҃са и҆здале́ча, течѐ и҆ поклони́сѧ є҆мꙋ̀,	But when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped him;
7	7
и҆ возопи́въ гла́сомъ ве́лїимъ, речѐ: что̀ мнѣ̀ и҆ тебѣ̀, і҆и҃се, сн҃е бг҃а вы́шнѧгѡ; заклина́ю тѧ̀ бг҃омъ, не мꙋ́чи менє̀.	and crying out with a loud voice, he said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, torment me not.

Гл҃аше бо є҆мꙋ̀: и҆зы́ди, дꙋ́ше нечи́стый, ѿ человѣ́ка.	For he said unto him, Come forth, thou unclean spirit, out of the man.
9	9
И҆ вопроша́ше є҆го̀: что́ ти є҆́сть и҆́мѧ; И҆ ѿвѣща̀ глаго́лѧ: легеѡ́нъ и҆́мѧ мнѣ̀, ꙗ҆́кѡ мно́зи є҆смы̀.	And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion; for we are many.

И҆ моли́ша є҆го̀ мно́гѡ, да не по́слетъ и҆̀хъ внѣ̀ страны̀.	And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11	11
Бѣ́ же тꙋ̀ при горѣ̀ ста́до свино́е ве́лїе пасо́мо.	Now there was there on the mountainside a great herd of swine feeding.
12	12
И҆ моли́ша є҆го̀ всѝ бѣ́си, глаго́люще: посли́ ны во свинїѧ̑, да въ нѧ̀ вни́демъ.	And all the demons besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13	13
И҆ повелѣ̀ и҆̀мъ а҆́бїе і҆и҃съ. И҆ и҆зше́дше дꙋ́си нечи́стїи, внидо́ша во свинїѧ̑: и҆ оу҆стреми́сѧ ста́до по бре́гꙋ въ мо́ре, бѧ́хꙋ же ꙗ҆́кѡ двѣ̀ ты́сѧщы, и҆ оу҆топа́хꙋ въ мо́ри.	And straightaway Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the sea (and they were about two thousand); and they were drowned in the sea.

Пасꙋ́щїи же свинїѧ̑ бѣжа́ша и҆ возвѣсти́ша во гра́дѣ и҆ въ се́лѣхъ. И҆ и҆зыдо́ша ви́дѣти, что̀ є҆́сть бы́вшее.	And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they came out to see what it was that had come to pass.
15	15
И҆ прїидо́ша ко і҆и҃сови, и҆ ви́дѣша бѣснова́вшагосѧ сѣдѧ́ща и҆ ѡ҆болче́на и҆ смы́слѧща, и҆мѣ́вшаго легеѡ́нъ: и҆ оу҆боѧ́шасѧ.	And they come to Jesus, and behold him that was possessed with demons sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind, even him that had the legion: and they were afraid.
16	16
Повѣ́даша же и҆̀мъ ви́дѣвшїи, ка́кѡ бы́сть бѣсно́мꙋ, и҆ ѡ҆ свинїѧ́хъ.	And they that saw it declared unto them how it befell him that was possessed with demons, and concerning the swine.
17	17
И҆ нача́ша моли́ти є҆го̀ ѿитѝ ѿ предѣ̑лъ и҆́хъ.	And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders.
18	18
И҆ влѣ́зшꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ въ кора́бль, молѧ́ше є҆го̀ бѣснова́выйсѧ, дабы̀ бы́лъ съ ни́мъ.	And when he was entered into the boat, he that had been possessed with demons besought him that he might be with him.
19	19
І҆и҃съ же не дадѐ є҆мꙋ̀, но речѐ є҆мꙋ̀: и҆дѝ въ до́мъ тво́й ко твои̑мъ и҆ возвѣстѝ и҆̀мъ, є҆ли̑ка тѝ гдⷭ҇ь сотворѝ и҆ поми́лова тѧ̀.	But Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go to thy house unto thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and how he had mercy on thee.
20	20
И҆ и҆́де и҆ нача̀ проповѣ́дати въ десѧтѝ гра́дѣхъ, є҆ли̑ка сотворѝ є҆мꙋ̀ і҆и҃съ. И҆ всѝ дивлѧ́хꙋсѧ.	And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men marveled.
21	21
(Заⷱ҇ к҃.) И҆ преше́дшꙋ і҆и҃сꙋ въ кораблѝ па́ки на ѡ҆́нъ по́лъ, собра́сѧ наро́дъ мно́гъ ѡ҆ не́мъ [къ немꙋ̀]. И҆ бѣ̀ при мо́ри.	And when Jesus had crossed over again in the boat unto the other side, a great multitude was gathered unto him; and he was by the sea.

И҆ сѐ, прїи́де є҆ди́нъ ѿ а҆рхїсѷнагѡ̑гъ, и҆́менемъ і҆аі́ръ, и҆ ви́дѣвъ є҆го̀, падѐ при ногꙋ̀ є҆гѡ̀	And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and seeing him, he falleth at his feet,
23	23
и҆ молѧ́ше є҆го̀ мно́гѡ, глаго́лѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ дщѝ моѧ̀ на кончи́нѣ є҆́сть: да прише́дъ возложи́ши на ню̀ рꙋ́цѣ, ꙗ҆́кѡ да спасе́тсѧ и҆ жива̀ бꙋ́детъ.	and besought him much, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death: I pray thee, that thou come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be made whole; and she shall live.

И҆ и҆́де съ ни́мъ: (Заⷱ҇ к҃а҃.) и҆ по не́мъ и҆дѧ́хꙋ наро́ди мно́зи и҆ оу҆гнета́хꙋ є҆го̀.	And he went with him; and a great multitude followed him, and they thronged him.
25	25
И҆ жена̀ нѣ́каѧ сꙋ́щи въ точе́нїи кро́ве лѣ́тъ двана́десѧте,	And a certain woman, who had an issue of blood twelve years,
26	26
и҆ мно́гѡ пострада́вши ѿ мнѡ́гъ врачє́въ, и҆ и҆зда́вши своѧ̑ всѧ̑, и҆ ни є҆ди́ныѧ по́льзы ѡ҆брѣ́тши, но па́че въ го́ршее прише́дши:	and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27	27
слы́шавши ѡ҆ і҆и҃сѣ, прише́дши въ наро́дѣ созадѝ, прикоснꙋ́сѧ ри́зѣ є҆гѡ̀:	having heard of Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.
28	28
глаго́лаше бо, ꙗ҆́кѡ, а҆́ще прикоснꙋ́сѧ ри́замъ є҆гѡ̀, спасе́на бꙋ́дꙋ.	For she said, If I touch but his garments, I shall be made whole.
29	29
И҆ а҆́бїе и҆зсѧ́кнꙋ и҆сто́чникъ кро́ве є҆ѧ̀: и҆ разꙋмѣ̀ [ѡ҆щꙋтѝ] тѣ́ломъ, ꙗ҆́кѡ и҆сцѣлѣ̀ ѿ ра́ны.	And straightaway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her plague.

И҆ а҆́бїе і҆и҃съ разꙋмѣ̀ въ себѣ̀ си́лꙋ и҆зше́дшꙋю ѿ негѡ̀, (и҆) ѡ҆бра́щьсѧ въ наро́дѣ, гл҃аше: кто̀ прикоснꙋ́сѧ ри́замъ мои̑мъ;	And straightaway Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power proceeding from him had gone forth, turned him about in the crowd, and said, Who touched my garments?

И҆ глаго́лахꙋ є҆мꙋ̀ оу҆чн҃цы̀ є҆гѡ̀: ви́диши наро́дъ оу҆гнета́ющь тѧ̀, и҆ гл҃еши: кто̀ прикоснꙋ́сѧ мнѣ̀;	And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32	32
И҆ ѡ҆бглѧ́даше ви́дѣти сотво́ршꙋю сїѐ.	And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33	33
Жена́ же оу҆боѧ́вшисѧ и҆ трепе́щꙋщи, вѣ́дѧщи, є҆́же бы́сть є҆́й, прїи́де и҆ припадѐ къ немꙋ̀ и҆ речѐ є҆мꙋ̀ всю̀ и҆́стинꙋ.	But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34	34
Ѻ҆́нъ же речѐ є҆́й: дщѝ, вѣ́ра твоѧ̀ спасе́ тѧ: и҆дѝ въ ми́рѣ и҆ бꙋ́ди цѣла̀ ѿ ра́ны твоеѧ̀.	And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35	35
Є҆щѐ є҆мꙋ̀ гл҃ющꙋ, (и҆) прїидо́ша ѿ а҆рхїсѷнагѡ́га, глаго́люще, ꙗ҆́кѡ дщѝ твоѧ̀ оу҆́мре: что̀ є҆щѐ дви́жеши оу҆чт҃лѧ;	While he yet spake, they come from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Teacher any further?

І҆и҃съ же а҆́бїе слы́шавъ сло́во глаго́лемое, гл҃а а҆рхїсѷнагѡ́гови: не бо́йсѧ, то́кмѡ вѣ́рꙋй.	But straightaway Jesus, when he heard the word that was spoken, saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Fear not, only believe.

И҆ не ѡ҆ста́ви по себѣ̀ ни є҆ди́наго и҆тѝ, то́кмѡ петра̀ и҆ і҆а́кѡва и҆ і҆ѡа́нна бра́та і҆а́кѡвлѧ.	And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38	38
И҆ прїи́де въ до́мъ а҆рхїсѷнагѡ́говъ и҆ ви́дѣ молвꙋ̀, пла́чꙋщыѧсѧ и҆ крича́щыѧ мно́гѡ.	And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he beholdeth a tumult, many weeping and wailing greatly.
39	39
И҆ вше́дъ гл҃а и҆̀мъ: что̀ мо́лвите и҆ пла́четесѧ; ѻ҆трокови́ца нѣ́сть оу҆мерла̀, но спи́тъ.	And when he was entered in, he saith unto them, Why make ye a tumult, and weep? the child is not dead, but sleepeth.
40	40
И҆ рꙋга́хꙋсѧ є҆мꙋ̀. Ѻ҆́нъ же и҆згна́въ всѧ̑, поѧ́тъ ѻ҆тца̀ ѻ҆трокови́цы и҆ ма́терь, и҆ и҆̀же (бѣ́хꙋ) съ ни́мъ, и҆ вни́де, и҆дѣ́же бѣ̀ ѻ҆трокови́ца лежа́щи.	And they laughed him to scorn. But he, having put them all forth, taketh the father of the child and her mother and them that were with him, and goeth in where the child was lying.

И҆ є҆́мь за рꙋ́кꙋ ѻ҆трокови́цꙋ, гл҃а є҆́й: талїѳа̀ кꙋ́мї: є҆́же є҆́сть сказа́емо: дѣви́це, тебѣ̀ гл҃ю, воста́ни.	And taking the child by the hand, he saith unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, Arise.
42	42
И҆ а҆́бїе воста̀ дѣви́ца и҆ хожда́ше: бѣ́ бо лѣ́тъ двоюна́десѧте. И҆ оу҆жасо́шасѧ оу҆́жасомъ ве́лїимъ.	And straightaway the damsel rose up, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were amazed with a great amazement.

И҆ запретѝ и҆̀мъ мно́гѡ, да никто́же оу҆вѣ́сть сегѡ̀, и҆ речѐ: дади́те є҆́й ꙗ҆́сти.	And he charged them much that no man should know this: and he commanded that something should be given her to eat.
