Chapter 8	Глава́ и҃

And it came to pass after twenty years, in which Solomon built the house of the Lord, and his own house,	И҆ бы́сть по два́десѧти лѣ́тѣхъ, въ ни́хже созда̀ соломѡ́нъ до́мъ гдⷭ҇ень и҆ до́мъ сво́й,
2	2
that Solomon rebuilt the cities which Chiram had given to Solomon, and caused the children of Israel to dwell in them.	и҆ гра́ды ꙗ҆̀же дадѐ хїра́мъ соломѡ́нꙋ, созда̀ ѡ҆́ны соломѡ́нъ и҆ вселѝ тꙋ̀ сы́ны і҆и҃лєвы.

And Solomon came to Bæsoba, and fortified it.	И҆ прїи́де соломѡ́нъ во є҆ма́ѳъ-сꙋ́ва и҆ ѡ҆держа̀ є҆го̀.

And he built Thoedmor in the wilderness, and all the strong cities which he built in Emath.	И҆ созда̀ Ѳедмо́ръ въ пꙋсты́ни и҆ всѧ̑ гра́ды крѣ̑пкїѧ, ꙗ҆̀же созда̀ во є҆ма́ѳѣ.

And he built Bæthoron the upper, and Bæthoron the lower, strong cities,—they had walls, gates, and bars;	Состро́и же веѳѡрѡ́нъ вы́шнїй и҆ веѳѡрѡ́нъ ни́жнїй, гра́ды оу҆крѣплє́ны стѣна́ми, врата́ми и҆ вереѧ́ми:

and Balaath, and all the strong cities which Solomon had, and all his chariot cities, and cities of horsemen, and all things that Solomon desired according to his desire of building, in Jerusalem, and in Libanus, and in all his kingdom.	и҆ валаа́ѳъ, и҆ всѧ̑ гра́ды крѣ̑пкїѧ, и҆̀же бы́ша соломѡ́нꙋ, и҆ всѧ̑ гра́ды колесни́цъ и҆ гра́ды кѡ́нникъ, и҆ є҆ли̑ка восхотѣ̀ соломѡ́нъ по жела́нїю созда́ти бо і҆ерⷭ҇ли́мѣ и҆ въ лїва́нѣ и҆ во все́мъ ца́рствѣ свое́мъ.

As for all the people that was left of the Chettites, and the Amorites, and the Pherezites, and the Evites, and the Jebusites, who are not of Israel,	Ве́сь наро́дъ ѡ҆ста́вшїйсѧ ѿ хетте́а и҆ а҆морре́а, и҆ ферезе́а и҆ є҆ѵе́а и҆ і҆евꙋсе́а, и҆̀же не бѧ́хꙋ ѿ пле́мене і҆и҃лева,

but were of the children of them whom the children of Israel destroyed not, that were left after them in the land, even them did Solomon make tributaries to this day.	но бѣ́ша ѿ сынѡ́въ и҆́хъ ѡ҆ста́вшихсѧ по ни́хъ на землѝ, и҆̀хже не и҆зби́ша сы́нове і҆и҃лєвы, подведѐ и҆̀хъ соломѡ́нъ въ да́нь да́же до днѐ сегѡ̀.

But Solomon did not make any of the children of Israel servants in his kingdom; for, behold, they were warriors and rulers, and mighty men, and captains of chariots and horsemen.	Ѿ сынѡ́въ же і҆и҃левыхъ не дадѐ соломѡ́нъ въ рабы̑ ца́рствꙋ своемꙋ̀: ті́и бо бѧ́хꙋ мꙋ́жїе ра́тницы и҆ кнѧ̑зи, и҆ си́льнїи и҆ нача̑лницы колесни́цъ и҆ кѡ́нникъ є҆гѡ̀.

And these are the chiefs of the officers of king Solomon, two hundred and fifty overseeing the work among the people.	И҆ сі́и нача̑лницы предстоѧ́щихъ царю̀ соломѡ́нꙋ, двѣ́сти пѧтьдесѧ́тъ приста̑вницы над̾ дѣ́лы людски́ми.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharao from the city of David to the house which he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the city of David, the king of Israel, for the place is holy into which the ark of the Lord has entered.	Дще́рь же фараѡ́ню преведѐ соломѡ́нъ ѿ гра́да даві́дова въ до́мъ, є҆го́же созда̀ є҆́й, рече́ бо: да не ѡ҆бита́етъ жена̀ моѧ̀ въ домꙋ̀ даві́да царѧ̀ і҆и҃лева, поне́же ѡ҆свѧще́нъ є҆́сть, а҆́може вни́де кївѡ́тъ гдⷭ҇ень.

Then Solomon offered up to the Lord whole-burnt-offerings on the altar which he had built to the Lord before the temple,	Тогда̀ вознесѐ соломѡ́нъ всесожжє́нїѧ гдⷭ҇еви на ѻ҆лта́рь, є҆го́же созда̀ гдⷭ҇еви пред̾ хра́момъ,

according to the daily rate, to offer up sacrifices according to the commandments of Moses, on the sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, three times in the year, at the feast of unleavened bread, and at the feast of weeks, and at the feast of tabernacles.	по словесѝ ѿ днѐ до днѐ возноси́ти, по повелѣ́нїю мѡѷсе́евꙋ, въ сꙋббѡ̑ты и҆ въ новомчⷭ҇їѧ и҆ въ пра́здники, три́жды въ го́дъ, въ пра́здникъ ѡ҆прѣсно́кѡвъ и҆ въ пра́здникъ седми́цъ и҆ въ пра́здникъ кꙋ́щей.

And he established, according to the order of his father David, the courses of the priests, and that according to their public ministrations: and the Levites were appointed over their charges, to praise and minister before the priests according to the daily order: and the porters were appointed according to their courses to the different gates: for thus were the commandments of David the man of God.	И҆ поста́ви по разсꙋжде́нїю даві́да ѻ҆тца̀ своегѡ̀ раздѣлє́нїѧ свѧще́нникѡмъ и҆ по слꙋже́нїємъ и҆́хъ: и҆ леѵі́ты над̾ стра́жами и҆́хъ, да хва́лѧтъ и҆ слꙋ́жатъ пред̾ свѧщє́нники по чи́нꙋ є҆ди́нагѡ коегѡ́ждо дні́й: и҆ двє́рницы по раздѣле́нїємъ и҆́хъ, по вратѡ́мъ и҆ вратѡ́мъ: та́кѡ бо повелѣ̀ даві́дъ человѣ́къ бж҃їй.

They transgressed not the commandments of the king concerning the priests and the Levites with regard to everything else, and with regard to the treasures.	Не престꙋпи́ша за́повѣдїй царе́выхъ ѡ҆ свѧще́нницѣхъ и҆ леѵі́тѣхъ по всѧ́комꙋ словесѝ, и҆ въ сокро́вищихъ.

Now all the work had been prepared from the day when the foundation was laid, until Solomon finished the house of the Lord.	И҆ оу҆гото́васѧ всѧ́ко дѣ́ланїе ѿ днѐ, въ ѻ҆́ньже ѡ҆снова̀, до днѐ, въ ѻ҆́ньже совершѝ соломѡ́нъ до́мъ гдⷭ҇ень.

Then Solomon went to Gasion Gaber, and to Ælath near the sea in the land of Idumea.	Тогда̀ и҆́де соломѡ́нъ въ гасїѡ́нъгаве́ръ и҆ во є҆ла́ѳъ, и҆́же при мо́ри въ землѝ і҆дꙋме́йстѣй.

And Chiram sent by the hand of his servants ships, and servants skilled in naval affairs; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Sophira, and brought thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and they came to king Solomon.	И҆ посла̀ хїра́мъ рꙋко́ю слꙋ́гъ свои́хъ корабли̑ и҆ рабы̑ зна́ющыѧ морскі̑ѧ прохо́ды, и҆ хожда́хꙋ съ рабы̑ соломѡ́ними въ сѡфі́ръ, и҆ взѧ́ша ѿтꙋ́дꙋ четы́реста и҆ пѧтьдесѧ́тъ тала̑нтъ зла́та и҆ принесо́ша ко царю̀ соломѡ́нꙋ.
