And Achaab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Ju wrote a letter, and sent it into Samaria to the rulers of Samaria, and to the elders, and to the guardians of the children of Achaab, saying,

И$ а^ха'вђ бњша ѓ~ сн~овъ въ самарїи. и^ написа` кни'гђ и^ё'е. и^ посла` въ самарїю къ кня'ѕемъ самарїи'скомъ и^ къ ста'рцемъ, и^ къ ё^го'днымъ а^ха'влимъ всњмъ гл~я,

Now then, as soon as this letter shall have reached you, whereas there are with you the sons of your master, and with you chariots and horses, and strong cities, and arms,
|
и^ нн~њ ја%ко прїидетъ кни'га сїя къ ва'мъ, съ ва'ми б^о сн~ове господина ва'шеh. и^ съ ва'ми колесни'ца и^ ко'ни. и^ гра'ды тве'рды и^ ѓ^рђжїя”

do ye accordingly look out the best and fittest among your master's sons, and set him on the throne of his father, and fight for the house of your master.
|
И$ ё'зрите бл~гаго и^ пра'ваго въ сн~њхъ господина ва'шего. и^ поста'вите е^го на прsтлњ эTц~а е^го. и^ вою'ете ѓ^ до'м# господина ва'шего”
|

And they feared greatly, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: and how shall we stand?
|
И$ ё^боя'шася ѕњло. и^ рњша с^е дв^а цр~я не възмого'ста ста'ти проти'вђ лицђ` е^го. т^о ка'ко м^ы ста'немъ”
|

|
So they that were over the house, and they that were over the city, and the elders and the guardians, sent to Ju, saying, We also are thy servants, and whatsoever thou shalt say to us we will do; we will not make any man king: we will do that which is right in thine eyes.
|
И$ посла'ша и^же наD до'момъ і^ и^же наD градомъ. и^ ста'рцы и^ ё^го'дницы къ и^ё'е цр~ю гл~ще ѓ%троцы мы` твои` е^смы. и^ е^лико а^ще рече'ши к на'мъ т^о сътвори'мъ не ё& въцрsтвимъ мђжа. н^о бл~гое преD ѓ^чи'ма твои'ма сътвори'мъ”

And Ju wrote them a second letter, saying, If ye are for me, and hearken to my voice, take the heads of the men your master's sons, and bring them to me at this time to-morrow in Jezrael. Now the sons of the king were seventy men; these great men of the city brought them up.
|
И$ написа` к ни'мъ и^ё'е кни'гђ вторђю гл~я а^ще е^сте вы` мои` и^ гла'са мое^го вы` послђшае^те, эTсњцыте главы` сн~омъ господи'на ва'шего. и^ принесе'те я& къ мн^њ в се'и же чаs ё'тро до е^зре'ля, и^ б^њ сн~овъ цр~евыхъ о~ мђж# си' же мђжи гра'да въскорми'ша и^х#”

And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and slew them, even seventy men, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him at Jezrael.
|
И$ бы'сть ја%ко прїиде к ни'мъ кни'га. и^ поја%ша сн~ы цр~евы і^ и^скла'ша я& всXњ о~, мђжъ, и^ въложи'ша главы` и^хъ въ ко'шницы, и^ посла'ша и^хъ к немђ въ і^и^л~ь,

|
And a messenger came and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay them in two heaps by the door of the gate until the morning.
|
и^ прїиде посолъ и^ възвњсти` е^мђ гл~я” Принесо'ша гла'вы сн~овъ цр~я. и^ рече положи'те я& хо'лмами двњма при вра'тњхъ града до заё'тра”
|

|
And the morning came, and he went forth, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye are righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?
|
И$ бы'сть заё'тра. и^ ше'дъ ста` въ вра'тњхъ гра'да. и^ рече и^ё'е къ всњмъ лю'демъ, пра'ведни вы` сђть е^сте. се` б^о а^зъ е^сми` и^ възврати'лъся на господина мое^го и^ ё^биX и& сїя же вся` кт^о порази`”

|
See now that there shall not fall to the ground anything of the word of the Lord which the Lord spoke against the house of Achaab: for the Lord has performed all that he spoke of by the hand of his servant Eliu.
|
ѓ^ба'че в^ы ви'дњсте ја%ко не паде'тъ никто'же кро'мњ словесе` гн~я на земли`. ја^ко гл~а г~ь на до'мъ а^ха'вль. се б^о г~ь сътвори` е^ли'ко гл~а рђко'ю раба` свое^го и^лїи`”

|
And Ju smote all that were left of the house of Achaab in Jezrael, and all his great men, and his acquaintance, and his priests, so as not to leave him any remnant.
|
І$ и^зби` и^ё'е вся` ѓ^ста'вшая в домђ` а^хавли въ і^и^л~и и^ вся вельмо'жа е^го. и^ зна'емыя е^го, и^ жръцы` е^го, ја%ко не ѓ^ста'ти в ниX ѓ^стаnкђ”

|
And he arose and went to Samaria, and he was in the house of sheep-shearing in the way.
|
И$ въста'въ и^де` въ самарїю са'мъ. въ веџака'ль па'стыр#скїи при пђти`”
|
|

|
And Ju found the brethren of Ochozias king of Juda, and said, Who are ye? And they said, We are the brethren of Ochozias, and we have come down to salute the sons of the king, and the sons of the queen.
|
И$ с^е ѓ^брњте` та'мо бра'тїю ѓ^хозїинђ цр~я і^ё'дина, и^ рече кт^о вы` е^сте. и рњша бра'тїя ѓ^хозїина м^ы е^смы`” И$ снидо'хомъ поздравити сн~ы цр~вы и^ сн~ы силныхъ”

|
And he said, Take them alive. And they slew them at the shearing-house, forty and two men: he left not a man of them.
|
И$ рече поимњте я& жи'вы і^ и^зъсњче'те я& въ веџека'лњ, м~в, мђжа. и^ не ѓ^ста` эT ниX мђжа ни е^ді'ного”

|
And he went thence and found Jonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he saluted him, and Ju said to him, Is thy heart right with my heart, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jonadab said, It is. And Ju said, If it is then, give me thy hand. And he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot.

І$ и^де` эTтђ'дђ и^ ѓ^брњте` и^ѓ^нада'ва сн~а риха'вля на пђти` на срњте'нїе е^мђ. и блsви и&. и^ рече к немђ и^ё'е. а^ще е^сть срDце твое` съ срDцемъ мои^мъ пра'во ја%коже и^ срDце мое` с тобо'ю, и^ рече и^ѓ^нада'въ е^сть. и^ рече и^ё'е а^ще е^сть т^о да'ждь м^и рђкђ твою`, и^ да'въ е^мђ рђкђ свою и^ възведе` и& на колесни'цђ свою”

|
And he said to him, Come with me, and see me zealous for the Lord. And he caused him to sit in his chariot.
|
И$ реq к немђ поиди` со мно'ю, и^ ви'ждь ка'ко поревнова'хъ по г~њ саваѓ%џњ. и^ посади и& на колесни'цђ свою”
|

|
And he entered into Samaria, and smote all that were left of Achaab in Samaria, until he had utterly destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Eliu.
|
И$ вни'де въ самарїю. і^ и^зби` вс^я ѓ^ста'вшая а^ха'вля въ самарїи. ја^ко не ѓ^ста'ти никомђже по гл~ђ гн~ю. и^же гл~а къ и^лїи`”
|

|
And Ju gathered all the people, and said to them, Achaab served Baal a little; Ju shall serve him much.
|
И$ събра` и^ё'е вся лю'ди и^ рече к ни'мъ. а^ха'въ порабо'та лю'ди ваа%лђ ма'ло. і^ и^ё'е порабо'тати и%мать мно'го”
|

|
Now then do all ye the prophets of Baal call all his servants and his priests to me; let not a man be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to offer to Baal; every one who shall be missing shall die. But Ju did it in subtilty, that he might destroy the servants of Baal.
|
И$ вс^и проро'цы ваа'ловы и^ вс^и рабы` е^го, и^ жръца` е^го призовњте къ мн^њ, да не потаи'тся ни е^ді'нъ мђжъ нигде'же, ја%ко жрътвђ хощђ` сътвори'ти вели'кђ ваа'лђ. и^ всякъ и^же потаи'тся не бђдетъ жи'въ. и^ с^е и^ё'е цр~ь сътвори` ле'сть, хотя` погђби'ти слђжа'щихъ ваа'лђ.

|
And Ju said, Sanctify a solemn festival to Baal, and they made a proclamation.
|
и^ реq и^ё'е ст~ите жрътвђ ваа'лђ. и^ слђженїе е^го. и^ проповњдаша”
|

|
And Ju sent throughout all Israel, saying, Now then let all Baal's servants, and all his priests, and all his prophets come, let none be lacking: for I am going to offer a great sacrifice; whosoever shall be missing, shall not live. So all the servants of Baal came, and all his priests, and all his prophets: there was not one left who came not. And they entered into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to the other.

И$ посла` и^ё'е въ весь і^и^л~ь. и^ рече гл~я. и^ нн~њ вс^и събери'теся раби` ваа'лови и^ вс^и жръцы` е^го и^ вс^и прoрцы е^го. да никто'же ѓ^ста'нетъ ја%ко жрътвђ вели'кђ творю` ваа'лђ. і^ и^же ѓ^ста'неT не и'мать жи'въ бы'ти. и^ прїидо'ша раби` ваа'ловы. и^ вс^и жръцы` е^го. и^ вс^и проро'цы е^го. и^ не ѓ^ста` ни е^ді'н# мђжъ и^же не прїиде. и^ внидо'ша въ хра'мъ ваа'ловъ. и^ напо'лнися хра'м# ваа'ловъ эT кра'я до кра'я”

And he said to the man who was over the house of the wardrobe, Bring forth a robe for all the servants of Baal. And the keeper of the robes brought forth to them.
|
И рече и^ё'е и^же бя'хђ наD ѓ^деждами, и^знесњте ѓ^де'ждђ рабомъ всњмъ ваа'ловымъ. і^ и^знесе` иM ри'зы”
|

|
And Ju and Jonadab the son of Rechab entered into the house of Baal, and said to the servants of Baal, Search, and see whether there is among you any of the servants of the Lord, or only the servants of Baal, by themselves.
|
И$ вни'де и^ё'е и^ѓ^нада'въ сн~ъ риха'вль въ хра'минђ ваа'ловђ. и^ рече рабо'мъ вааловымъ, пои^щњте и^ съгледа'ите е^да` е^сть гд^њ ра'бъ гн~ь въ ва'съ. и^ вы'шлите всњхъ рабо'въ гн~ихъ ѓ^брњтшиXся т^ђ” И$ бы'сть тако ја%коже гл~а и^ё'е. и^ ја%ко не бњ` ра'бъ гн~ь. н^ото'кмо е^ді'ни раби` ваа'лови”

|
And he went in to offer sacrifices and whole-burnt-offerings; and Ju set for himself eighty men without, and said, Every man who shall escape of the men whom I bring into your hand, the life of him that spares him shall go for his life.
|
И$ вни'де сътвори'ти жрътвђ и^ вс^есъж#же'нїя. і^ и^ё'е вн^њ хра'ма поста'ви себ^њ, п~, мђжъ свои^хъ съ ѓ^рђжїемъ. и^ рече и^мъ и^ё'е аще вы` и^ е^ді'нъ мђжъ гонзе'тъ эT мђжъ сиX и^хже а^зъ и^зведо'хъ в рђцњ ва'ши. то дш~ђ ва'шђ положђ` за дш~ђ е^го”

|
And it came to pass, when he had finished offering the whole-burnt-offering, that Ju said to the footmen and the officers, Go ye in and slay them; let not a man of them escape. So they smote them with the edge of the sword, and the footmen and the officers cast the bodies forth, and went to the city of the house of Baal.
|
И$ бы'сть ја%ко сконча` творя'ше вс^есъж#же'нїя. и^ рече и^ё'е преDри'щђщимъ и^ триста'томъ, вшеDше и^збїите и& и^ да ни е^ді'нъ мђжъ и^збђдетъ эT ниX і^ и^зби'ша я& ѓ^рђжїеM. и^ повръгоша я& преDтекђщая во'ини и^ триста'ты. і^ и^до'ша да'же до до'мђ ваа'лова”

|
And they brought out the pillar of Baal, and burnt it.
|
І$ и^знесо'ша ѓ^де'ждђ ваа'ловђ и^ съж#го'ша ю&.
|
|

|
And they tore down the pillars of Baal, and made his house a draught-house until this day.
|
и^ съби'ша тњло ваа'лово и^ съкрђши'ша въ пра'хъ до дн~и сего”
|
|

|
|
So Ju abolished Baal out of Israel.
|
И$ погђби` и^ё'е храM ваа'ловъ эT і^и^л~я”
|
|

|
|
Nevertheless Ju departed not from following the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who led Israel to sin: these were the golden heifers in Bæthel and in Dan.
|
Ното'кмо грњховъ і^е^ровоа'ма сн~а нава'това, и%миже съблазни` грешити і^и^л~я. не эTстђпи` и^ё'е эT послњдниX и^хъ кла'няю^щеся ю%ницамъ зла'тыM ја%же въ веџи'ли и^ въ да'нњ”

|
And the Lord said to Ju, Because of all thy deeds wherein thou hast acted well in doing that which was right in my eyes, according to all things which thou hast done to the house of Achaab as they were in my heart, thy sons to the fourth generation shall sit upon the throne of Israel.
|
И$ рече г~ь къ и^ё'еви понеже ја%ко ё^блж~и и^ сътвори' ти ё^го'дная мн^њ преD ѓ^чи'ма мои^ма. и^ вся` ја%же сътвори` по срDцђ мое^мђ сътвори'лъ е^си до'мђ а^ха'влю сего ради да'же до четве'ртаго ро'дђ твое^го ся'дђтъ на прsтлњ въ і^и^л~и”

|
But Ju took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart: he departed not from following the sins of Jeroboam, who made Israel to sin.
|
И$ё'е не съхрани` ходи'ти по и%мени г~а б~а і^и^л~ева всњмъ срDцемъ своиM. не эTврати'ся эT грњхъ і^е^ровоа'ма сн~а нава'това, и^же въ грњхъ въведе` і^и^л~я”
|

|
In those days the Lord began to cut Israel short; and Azael smote them in every coast of Israel;
|
Въ дн~и же ѓ%ны нача` г~ь пђща'ти на і^и^л~я, і^ и^зби` я& а^заи'ль въ всњхъ предњлехъ і^и^л~евыхъ”

|
|
from Jordan eastward all the land of Galaad belonging to the Gadites, of Gaddi and that of Ruben, and of Manasses, from Aroer, which is on the brink of the brook of Arnon, and Galaad and Basan.
|
эT і^ѓ^рдана на въсто'къ слн~ца всю` зе'млю галаа'дъскђю, и^ гадїинђ, и^ рђви'мовђ. и^ манасїинђ эT а^рои'ра даже до ё'стїя а^рно'ньска, и^ галааDска и^ васа'ньска”

And the rest of the acts of Ju, and all that he did, and all his might, and the wars wherein he engaged, are not these things written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
|
И$ про'чая словесъ и^ё'евыхъ вс^я ја%же сътвори`. и^ вс^я си'ла е^го и^ събра'нїе е^го е^же събра`. т^о не се' ли напи'сана въ кни'зњ словеs дн~їи цр~ь і^и^л~евъ”

|
And Ju slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria: and Joachaz his son reigned in his stead.
|
И$ ё'мре и^ё'е и^ погребе'нъ бы'сть съ эTц~ы свои'ми въ самарїи'. и^ црsтвова` и^а^ха'з# в него` мњ'сто сн~ъ е^го”
|

|
And the days which Ju reigned over Israel were twenty-eight years in Samaria.
|
И$ въ дн~и в ня'же и^ё'е црsтвова` въ самарїи бы'сть, к~и, лњтъ”
