Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	благода́ть вам і мир от Бо́га Отця́ на́шего і Го́спода Ісу́са Христа́.

We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;	Благодари́ти до́лжні єсьми́ Бо́га всегда́ о вас, бра́тіє, я́коже досто́йно єсть, я́ко превозраста́єть ві́ра ва́ша, і мно́житься любо́в єди́наго коєго́ждо всіх вас друг ко дру́гу;

so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which ye endure;	я́ко самі́м нам хвали́тися о вас в це́рквах Бо́жиїх, о терпі́нії ва́шем і ві́рі во всіх гоне́ніїх ва́ших і ско́рбіх, я́же приє́млете,

which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:	показа́ніє пра́веднаго суда́ Бо́жия, во є́же сподо́битися вам Ца́рствія Бо́жия, єго́же ра́ди і стра́ждете.

if so be that it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,	А́ще у́бо пра́ведно у Бо́га, возда́ти скорб оскорбля́ющим вас,

and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power	а вам оскорбля́ємим отра́ду с на́ми, во открове́нії Го́спода Ісу́са с небесе́, со а́нгели си́ли Своєя́,

in flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:	во огні́ пла́менні даю́щаго отмще́ніє не ві́дущим Бо́га і не послу́шающим благовіствова́нія Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́;

who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,	і́же му́ку при́ймуть, поги́бель ві́чную, от лиця́ Госпо́дня і от сла́ви крі́пости Єго́,

when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.	єгда́ при́йдеть просла́витися во святи́х Свої́х і ди́вен би́ти во всіх ві́ровавших, (Зач.) я́ко уві́рися свиді́тельство на́ше в вас, в день он.

To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power;	За сіє́ і мо́лимся всегда́ о вас, да ви сподо́бить зва́нію Бог наш і іспо́лнить вся́ко благоволе́ніє бла́гости і ді́ло ві́ри в си́лі,

that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.	я́ко да просла́виться і́м'я Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́ в вас, і ви в нем, по благода́ті Бо́га на́шего і Го́спода Ісу́са Христа́.
Chapter 2	Глава 2

Now we beseech you, brethren, touching the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him;	(Зач. 275) Мо́лим же ви, бра́тіє, о прише́ствії Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́ і на́шем собра́нії о Нем,

to the end that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of Christ is just at hand;	не ско́ро подвиза́тися вам от ума́, ні ужаса́тися ніже́ ду́хом, ніже́ сло́вом, ні посла́нієм а́ки от нас по́сланним, я́ко уже́ настої́ть день Христо́в.

let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition,	Да нікто́же вас прельсти́ть ні по єди́ному же о́бразу; я́ко а́ще не при́йдеть отступле́ніє пре́жде, і откри́ється челові́к беззако́нія, син поги́белі,

he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.	проти́вник і превознося́йся па́че вся́каго глаго́лемаго бо́га і́ли чти́лища, я́коже єму́ сі́сти в Це́ркві Бо́жієй а́ки бо́гу, показу́ющу себе́, я́ко бог єсть.

Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?	Не по́мните ли, я́ко єще́ живи́й у вас, сія́ глаго́лах вам?

And now ye know that which restraineth, to the end that he may be revealed in his own season.	І ни́ні удержава́ющеє ві́сте, во є́же яви́тися єму́ в своє́ єму́ вре́м'я.

For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: only there is one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way.	Та́йна бо уже́ ді́ється беззако́нія, то́чію держа́й ни́ні до́ндеже от среди́ бу́деть;

And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord shall consume with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his coming;	і тогда́ яви́ться беззако́нник, єго́же Госпо́дь Ісу́с убіє́ть ду́хом уст Свої́х, і упраздни́ть явле́нієм прише́ствія Своєго́,

even he, whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,	Єго́же єсть прише́ствіє по ді́йству сатанину́ во вся́цій си́лі і зна́меніїх і чудесі́х ло́жних,

and with all deceit of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.	і во вся́кой льсті непра́вди в погиба́ющих, зане́ любве́ і́стини не прия́ша, во є́же спасти́ся їм.

And for this cause God shall send them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:	І сего́ ра́ди по́слеть їм Бог ді́йство льсти, во є́же ві́ровати їм лжі,

that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.	да суд при́ймуть всі не ві́ровавшії і́стині, но благоволи́вшії в непра́вді.

But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, for that God chose you from the beginning unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:	(Зач. 276) Ми же до́лжні єсьми́ благодари́ти Бо́га всегда́ о вас, бра́тіє возлю́бленная от Го́спода, я́ко ізбра́л єсть вас Бог от нача́ла во спасе́ніє во святи́ні Ду́ха і ві́ри і́стини,

whereunto he called you through our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.	в не́же призва́ вас благовіствова́нієм на́шим, в получе́ніє сла́ви Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́.

So then, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye were taught, whether by word, or by epistle of ours.	Ті́мже у́бо, бра́тіє, сто́йте і держі́те преда́нія, ї́мже научи́стеся іли́ сло́вом, іли́ посла́нієм на́шим.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,	Сам же Госпо́дь наш Ісу́с Христо́с, і Бог і Оте́ць наш, возлюби́вий нас і да́вий утіше́ніє ві́чно і упова́ніє бла́го в благода́ті,

comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.	да уті́шить сердця́ ва́ша і да утверди́ть [да утверди́ть вас] во вся́цім сло́ві і ді́лі бла́зі.
Chapter 3	Глава 3

1	1
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also it is with you;	Про́чеє, молі́теся о нас, бра́тіє, да сло́во Госпо́днє тече́ть і сла́виться, я́коже і в вас,
2	2
and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for all have not faith.	і да ізба́вимся от злих і лука́вих челові́к; не всіх бо єсть ві́ра.
3	3
But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.	Ві́рен же єсть Госпо́дь, І́же утверди́ть вас і сохрани́ть от лука́ваго.
4	4
And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.	Упова́єм же на Го́спода о вас, я́ко, я́же повеліва́єм вам, і творите́ і сотворите́.
5	5
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.	Госпо́дь же да іспра́вить сердця́ ва́ша в любо́в Бо́жию і в терпі́ніє Христо́во.

Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which they received of us.	(Зач. 277) Повеліва́єм же вам, бра́тіє, о і́мені Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́, отлуча́тися вам от вся́каго бра́та безчи́нно ходя́ща, а не по преда́нію, є́же прия́ша от нас;

For yourselves know how ye ought to imitate us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;	са́мі бо ві́сте, ка́ко лі́по єсть вам подо́битися нам; я́ко не безчи́нновахом у вас,

neither did we eat bread for nought at any man’s hand, but in labor and travail, working night and day, that we might not burden any of you:	ніже́ ту́не хліб ядо́хом у кого́, но в труді́ і по́двизі, нощ і день ді́лающе, да не отягчи́м нікого́же от вас;

not because we have not the right, but to make ourselves an example unto you, that ye should imitate us.	не я́ко не і́мами вла́сти, но да себе́ о́браз да́ми вам, во є́же уподо́битися нам.

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.	І́бо єгда́ бі́хом у вас, сіє́ завіщава́хом вам; я́ко а́ще кто не хо́щеть ді́лати ніже́ да ясть.

For we hear of some that walk among you disorderly, that work not at all, but are busybodies.	Сли́шим бо ні́кия безчи́нно ходя́щия у вас, нічто́же ді́лающия, но лука́вно обходя́щия;

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.	такови́м запреща́єм і мо́лим о Го́споді на́шем Ісу́сі Христі́, да с безмо́лвієм ді́лающе, свой хліб ядя́ть.
13	13
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing.	Ви же, бра́тіє, не стужа́йте, до́броє творя́ще.
14	14
And if any man obeyeth not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, to the end that he may be ashamed.	А́ще же кто не послу́шаєть словесе́ на́шего посла́нієм, cего́ назна́менуйте і не приміша́йтеся єму́, да посрами́ться;
15	15
And yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.	і не а́ки врага́ імі́йте єго́, но наказу́йте я́коже бра́та.

Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.	Сам же Госпо́дь ми́ра да дасть вам мир всегда́ во вся́цім о́бразі; Госпо́дь со всі́ми ва́ми.

The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.	Цілова́ніє моє́ю руко́ю Па́влею, є́же єсть зна́меніє во вся́цім посла́нії, си́це пишу́;

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.	благода́ть Го́спода на́шего Ісу́са Христа́ со всі́ми ва́ми. Амі́нь.
