Chapter 2
Главa в7
1
1
My brethren, hold not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. н7в7.) Брaтіе мо‰, не на лиц† зрsще и3мёйте вёру гDа нaшегw ї}са хrтA слaвы.
2
2
For if there come into your synagogue a man with a gold ring, in fine clothing, and there come in also a poor man in vile clothing; Ѓще бо вни1детъ въ с0нмище вaше мyжъ, злaтъ пeрстень носS, въ ри1зэ свётлэ, вни1детъ же и3 ни1щь въ хyдэ њдёжди,
3
3
and ye have regard to him that weareth the fine clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and ye say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool; и3 воззритE на носsщаго ри1зу свётлу, и3 речeте є3мY: ты2 сsди здЁ д0брэ: и3 ни1щему речeте: ты2 стaни тaмw, и3ли2 сsди здЁ на подн0жіи моeмъ:
4
4
do ye not then make distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
5
5
Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him? Слhшите, брaтіе мо‰ возлю1бленнаz, не бGъ ли и3збрA ни1щыz мjра сегw2 бог†ты въ вёрэ и3 наслёдники цrтвіz, є4же њбэщA лю1бzщымъ є3го2;
6
6
But ye have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you, and themselves drag you before the judgment seats? вh же ўкори1сте ни1щаго. Не богaтіи ли наси1луютъ вaмъ, и3 тjи влекyтъ вы2 на суди6ща;
7
7
Do not they blaspheme the honorable name by which ye are called? не тjи ли хyлzтъ д0брое и4мz наречeнное на вaсъ;
8
8
Howbeit if ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: Ѓще ќбw зак0нъ совершaете цaрскій, по писaнію: возлю1биши и4скреннzго своего2 ћкоже себE самaго, д0брэ творитE:
9
9
but if ye have respect of persons, ye commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
10
10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is become guilty of all.
11
11
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12
12
So speak ye, and so do, as men that are to be judged by a law of liberty. Тaкw глаг0лите и3 тaкw твори1те, ћкw зак0номъ своб0днымъ и3мyщіи сyдъ пріsти.
13
13
For judgment is without mercy to him that hath shown no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgment.
14
14
What doth it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but have not works? can that faith save him? (За? н7G.) Кaz п0льза, брaтіе мо‰, ѓще вёру глаг0летъ кто2 и3мёти, дёлъ же не и4мать; є3дA м0жетъ вёра спcти2 є3го2;
15
15
Now if a brother or sister be naked and be in lack of daily food, Ѓще же брaтъ и3ли2 сестрA н†га бyдета и3 лишє1на бyдета дневнhz пи1щи,
16
16
and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit? речeтъ же и4ма кто2 t вaсъ: и3ди1та съ ми1ромъ, грёйтасz и3 насыщaйтасz: не дaстъ же и4ма трeбованіz тэлeснагw: кaz п0льза;
17
17
Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself.
18
18
Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith by thy works, and I by my works will show thee my faith.
19
19
Thou believest that God is one; thou doest well: the demons also believe, and shudder.
20
20
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead? Х0щеши же ли разумёти, q, человёче сyетне, ћкw вёра без8 дёлъ мертвA є4сть;
21
21
Was not Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son upon the altar? Ґвраaмъ nтeцъ нaшъ не t дёлъ ли њправдaсz, вознeсъ їсаaка сhна своего2 на жeртвенникъ;
22
22
Seest thou that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? Ви1диши ли, ћкw вёра поспёшествоваше дэлHмъ є3гw2, и3 t дёлъ соверши1сz вёра;
23
23
And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness; and he was called the friend of God. И# соверши1сz писaніе глаг0лющее: вёрова же ґвраaмъ бGови, и3 вмэни1сz є3мY въ прaвду, и3 дрyгъ б9ій нарeчесz.
24
24
Ye see then that by works a man is justified, and not only by faith. Зритe ли u5бо, ћкw t дёлъ њправдaетсz человёкъ, ґ не t вёры є3ди1ныz;
25
25
And in like manner was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works, in that she received the messengers, and sent them out another way? Тaкожде же и3 раaвъ блудни1ца не t дёлъ ли њправдaсz, пріeмши сх0дники и3 и3нhмъ путeмъ и3звeдши и5хъ;
26
26
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.
