Chapter 3
Главa G
1
1
Be not many of you teachers, my brethren, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment. н7д7.)
2
2
For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.
3
3
Behold, we put the horses’ bridles into their mouths that they may obey us; we turn about their whole body also. Сe (бо и3) к0нємъ ўзды6 во ўстA влагaемъ, да повинyютсz нaмъ, и3 всE тёло и4хъ њбращaемъ:
4
4
Behold, the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, are yet turned about by a very small rudder, whithersoever the impulse of the steersman may will. сE, и3 корабли6 вели1цы сyще и3 t жeстокихъ вётрwвъ заточaеми, њбращaютсz мaлымъ корми1лцемъ, ѓможе стремлeніе прaвzщагw х0щетъ:
5
5
So the tongue also is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how much wood a little fire kindleth! тaкожде же и3 љзhкъ мaлъ ќдъ є4сть, и3 вельми2 хвaлитсz.
6
6
And the tongue is a fire, the world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, which defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the wheel of nature, and is set on fire by hell. И# љзhкъ џгнь, лёпота непрaвды: си1це и3 љзhкъ водворsетсz во ќдэхъ нaшихъ, сквернS всE тёло, и3 палS к0ло рождeніz нaшегw, и3 њпалszсz t геeнны:
7
7
For every kind of beasts and birds, of creeping things and things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed by mankind: всsко бо є3стество2 ѕвэрeй же и3 пти1цъ, г†дъ же и3 рhбъ, ўкрощaетсz и3 ўкроти1тсz є3стеств0мъ человёческимъ,
8
8
but the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, it is full of deadly poison.
9
9
Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, who are made after the likeness of God:
10
10
out of the same mouth cometh forth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. t Не подобaетъ, брaтіе мо‰ возлю1бленнаz, си6мъ тaкw бывaти.
11
11
Doth the fountain send forth from the same opening sweet water and bitter? (За? н7е7.) Е#дa ли и3ст0чникъ t є3ди1нагw ќстіz и3сточaетъ слaдкое и3 г0рькое;
12
12
can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a vine figs? so can no fountain yield salt water and sweet.
13
13
Who is wise and understanding among you? let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom. Кто2 премyдръ и3 худ0гъ въ вaсъ, да покaжетъ t д0брагw житіS дэлA сво‰ въ кр0тости и3 премyдрости.
14
14
But if ye have bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, glory not and lie not against the truth.
15
15
This wisdom is not a wisdom that cometh down from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16
16
For where jealousy and faction are, there is confusion and every vile deed. и3дёже бо зaвисть и3 рвeніе, тY нестроeніе и3 всsка ѕлA вeщь.
17
17
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, and without hypocrisy.
18
18
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.
