Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,	(Заⷱ҇ т҃.) Па́ѵелъ, ра́бъ бж҃їй, а҆пⷭ҇лъ же і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́въ, по вѣ́рѣ и҆збра́нныхъ бж҃їихъ и҆ ра́зꙋмꙋ и҆́стины, ꙗ҆́же по бл҃гочⷭ҇тїю,

in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal;	ѡ҆ оу҆пова́нїи жи́зни вѣ́чныѧ, ю҆́же ѡ҆бѣтова̀ нело́жный бг҃ъ пре́жде лѣ́тъ вѣ́чныхъ,

but in his own seasons manifested his word in the message, wherewith I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior;	ꙗ҆ви́ же во времена̀ своѧ̑ сло́во своѐ проповѣ́данїемъ, є҆́же мнѣ̀ порꙋ́чено бы́сть по повелѣ́нїю сп҃си́телѧ на́шегѡ бг҃а:

to Titus, my true child after a common faith: Grace, mercy, peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.	ті́тꙋ, прⷭ҇номꙋ ча́дꙋ по ѻ҆́бщей вѣ́рѣ: блгⷣть, млⷭ҇ть, ми́ръ ѿ бг҃а ѻ҆ц҃а̀ и҆ гдⷭ҇а і҆и҃са хрⷭ҇та̀ сп҃са на́шегѡ.

For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that were wanting, and appoint elders in every city, as I gave thee charge;	(Заⷱ҇.) Сегѡ̀ ра́ди ѡ҆ста́вихъ тѧ̀ въ кри́тѣ, да недоконча̑ннаѧ и҆спра́виши и҆ оу҆стро́иши по всѣ̑мъ гра́дѡмъ пресвѵ́теры, ꙗ҆́коже тебѣ̀ а҆́зъ повелѣ́хъ:

if any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children that believe, who are not accused of riot or unruly.	а҆́ще кто̀ є҆́сть непоро́ченъ, є҆ди́ныѧ жены̀ мꙋ́жъ, ча̑да и҆мы́й вѣ̑рна, не во оу҆коре́нїи блꙋда̀, и҆лѝ непокори̑ва.

For the bishop must be blameless, as God’s steward; not self-willed, not soon angry, no brawler, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre;	Подоба́етъ бо є҆пі́скопꙋ без̾ поро́ка бы́ти, ꙗ҆́коже бж҃їю строи́телю: не себѣ̀ оу҆гожда́ющꙋ, (не де́рзꙋ, не напра́сливꙋ,) не гнѣвли́вꙋ, не пїѧ́ницѣ, не бі́йцѣ, не скверностѧжа́телнꙋ,

but given to hospitality, a lover of good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled;	но страннолюби́вꙋ, бл҃голю́бцꙋ, цѣломⷣреннꙋ, првⷣнꙋ, прпⷣбнꙋ, воздержа́телнꙋ,

holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict the gainsayers.	держа́щемꙋсѧ вѣ́рнагѡ словесѐ по оу҆че́нїю, да си́ленъ бꙋ́детъ и҆ оу҆тѣ́шати во здра́вѣмъ оу҆че́нїи, и҆ проти́вѧщыѧсѧ ѡ҆блича́ти.

For there are many, and they are unruly, vain talkers and deceivers, especially they of the circumcision,	Сꙋ́ть бо мно́зи непокори́ви, сꙋесло́вцы и҆ оу҆мо́мъ прельще́ни, наипа́че же сꙋ́щїи ѿ ѡ҆брѣ́занїѧ,

whose mouths must be stopped; men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake.	и҆́хже подоба́етъ оу҆ста̀ загражда́ти: и҆̀же всѧ̑ до́мы развраща́ютъ, оу҆ча́ще ꙗ҆́же не подоба́етъ, скве́рнагѡ ра́ди прибы́тка.

One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, idle gluttons.	Рече́ же нѣ́кто ѿ ни́хъ, сво́й и҆̀мъ проро́къ: кри́тѧне при́снѡ лжи́ви, ѕлі́и ѕвѣ́рїе, оу҆трѡ́бы пра̑здныѧ.

This testimony is true. For which cause reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,	Свидѣ́телство сїѐ и҆́стинно є҆́сть: є҆ѧ́же ра́ди вины̀ ѡ҆блича́й и҆̀хъ неща́днѡ, да здра́ви бꙋ́дꙋтъ въ вѣ́рѣ,

not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.	не внима́юще і҆ꙋдє́йскимъ ба́снемъ, ни за́повѣдемъ человѣ̑къ ѿвраща́ющихсѧ ѿ и҆́стины.
15	15
To the pure all things are indeed pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.	(Заⷱ҇ т҃а҃.) Всѧ̑ оу҆́бѡ чи̑ста чи̑стымъ: ѡ҆сквернє́нымъ же и҆ невѣ̑рнымъ ничто́же чи́сто, но ѡ҆скверни́сѧ и҆́хъ и҆ оу҆́мъ и҆ со́вѣсть.

They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.	Бг҃а и҆сповѣ́дꙋютъ вѣ́дѣти, а҆ дѣ́лы ѿме́щꙋтсѧ є҆гѡ̀, ме́рзцы сꙋ́ще и҆ непокори́ви и҆ на всѧ́кое дѣ́ло бл҃го́е неискꙋ́сни.
Chapter 2	Глава́ в҃

1	1
But speak thou the things which befit the sound doctrine:	Ты́ же глаго́ли, ꙗ҆̀же подоба́етъ здра́вомꙋ оу҆че́нїю:
2	2
that aged men be temperate, grave, sober-minded, sound in faith, in love, in patience:	ста́рцємъ тре́звєннымъ бы́ти, чє́стнымъ, цѣломⷣрєннымъ, здра́вствꙋющымъ вѣ́рою, любо́вїю, терпѣ́нїемъ:

that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good;	ста́рицамъ та́кожде во оу҆краше́нїи столѣ̑пнымъ, не клевети́вымъ, не вїнꙋ̀ мно́гꙋ порабощє́ннымъ, доброꙋчи́тєлнымъ,

that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,	да оу҆цѣломꙋ́дрѧтъ ю҆́ныѧ, мꙋжелю́бицамъ бы́ти, чадолю́бицамъ,

to be sober-minded, chaste, keepers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed:	цѣломⷣрєннымъ, чи́стымъ, до́мы до́брѣ пра́вѧщымъ, бл҃ги̑мъ, покарѧ́ющымсѧ свои̑мъ мꙋжє́мъ, да не сло́во бж҃їе хꙋ́литсѧ:

the younger men likewise exhort to be sober-minded:	ю҆́ношы та́кожде молѝ цѣломꙋ́дрствовати.

in all things showing thyself an example of good works; in thy doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, incorruptibility,	Ѡ҆ все́мъ (же) са́мъ себѐ подава́ѧ ѡ҆́бразъ до́брыхъ дѣ́лъ, во оу҆че́нїи незави́стное [цѣ́лость], че́стность, нетлѣ́нїе,

sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.	сло́во здра́вое, незазо́рное, да проти́вный посрами́тсѧ, ничто́же и҆мѣ́ѧ глаго́лати ѡ҆ на́съ оу҆ко́рно.

Exhort servants to be in subjection to their own masters, and to be well-pleasing to them in all things; not gainsaying;	Рабы̑, свои̑мъ господє́мъ повинова́тисѧ, во все́мъ благоꙋгѡ́днымъ бы́ти, не прекослѡ́внымъ,
10	10
not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.	не крадꙋ́щымъ, но вѣ́рꙋ всѧ́кꙋ ꙗ҆влѧ́ющымъ бл҃гꙋ, да оу҆ч҃нїе сп҃си́телѧ на́шегѡ бг҃а оу҆краша́ютъ во все́мъ.

For the saving grace of God hath appeared to all men,	(Заⷱ҇ т҃в҃.) Ꙗ҆ви́сѧ бо блгⷣть бж҃їѧ сп҃си́телнаѧ всѣ̑мъ человѣ́кѡмъ,
12	12
instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;	наказꙋ́ющи на́съ, да ѿве́ргшесѧ нече́стїѧ и҆ мїрски́хъ по́хотей, цѣломⷣреннѡ и҆ првⷣнѡ и҆ бл҃гочⷭ҇тнѡ поживе́мъ въ нн҃ѣшнемъ вѣ́цѣ,

looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ;	ждꙋ́ще бл҃же́ннагѡ оу҆пова́нїѧ и҆ ꙗ҆вле́нїѧ сла́вы вели́кагѡ бг҃а и҆ сп҃са на́шегѡ і҆и҃са хрⷭ҇та̀,

who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.	и҆́же да́лъ є҆́сть себѐ за ны̀, да и҆зба́витъ ны̀ ѿ всѧ́кагѡ беззако́нїѧ и҆ ѡ҆чⷭ҇титъ себѣ̀ лю́ди и҆збра̑нны, ревни́тєли дѡ́брымъ дѣлѡ́мъ.

These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no man despise thee.	Сїѧ̑ глаго́ли, и҆ молѝ, и҆ ѡ҆бли́чай со всѧ́кимъ повелѣ́нїемъ, да никто́же тѧ̀ преѡби́дитъ [презира́етъ].
Chapter 3	Глава́ г҃

1	1
Put them in mind to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready unto every good work,	Воспомина́й тѣ̑мъ нача́лствꙋющымъ и҆ владѣ́ющымъ повинова́тисѧ и҆ покарѧ́тисѧ, и҆ ко всѧ́комꙋ дѣ́лꙋ бл҃гꙋ готѡ́вымъ бы́ти:

to speak evil of no man, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all meekness toward all men.	ни є҆ди́наго хꙋ́лити, не сварли̑вымъ бы́ти, но ти̑химъ, всѧ́кꙋ ꙗ҆влѧ́ющымъ кро́тость ко всѣ̑мъ человѣ́кѡмъ.

For we also once were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.	Бѣ́хомъ бо и҆ногда̀ и҆ мы̀ несмы́сленни, и҆ непокори́ви, и҆ прельще́ни, рабо́тающе похоте́мъ и҆ сласте́мъ разли̑чнымъ, въ ѕло́бѣ и҆ за́висти живꙋ́ще, ме́рзцы (сꙋ́ще и҆) ненави́дѧще дрꙋ́гъ дрꙋ́га.

But when the kindness of God our Savior, and his love toward man, appeared,	Є҆гда́ же блгⷣть и҆ чл҃вѣколю́бїе ꙗ҆ви́сѧ сп҃са на́шегѡ бг҃а,
5	5
not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,	не ѿ дѣ́лъ првⷣныхъ, и҆̀хже сотвори́хомъ мы̀, но по свое́й є҆гѡ̀ млⷭ҇ти, сп҃сѐ на́съ ба́нею пакибытїѧ̀ и҆ ѡ҆бновле́нїѧ дх҃а ст҃а́гѡ,

which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;	є҆го́же и҆злїѧ̀ на на́съ ѻ҆би́лнѡ і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ, сп҃си́телемъ на́шимъ,
7	7
that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.	да ѡ҆правди́вшесѧ блгⷣтїю є҆гѡ̀, наслѣ̑дницы бꙋ́демъ по оу҆пова́нїю жи́зни вѣ́чныѧ.
8	8
Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I desire that thou affirm confidently, to the end that they who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men:	(Заⷱ҇.) (Ча́до ті́те,) вѣ́рно сло́во, и҆ ѡ҆ си́хъ хощꙋ̀ тѧ̀ и҆звѣща́ти [оу҆тверди́ти], да пекꙋ́тсѧ дѡ́брымъ дѣлѡ́мъ прилѣжа́ти вѣ́ровавшїи бг҃ꙋ: сїѧ̑ сꙋ́ть полє́зна человѣ́кѡмъ и҆ дѡбра̀.

but shun foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strifes, and fightings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.	Бꙋ́ихъ же стѧза́нїй и҆ родосло́вїй и҆ рве́нїй и҆ сва́рѡвъ зако́нныхъ ѿстꙋпа́й: сꙋ́ть бо неполє́зны и҆ сꙋ́єтны.

A factious man after a first and second admonition refuse;	Є҆ретїка̀ человѣ́ка по пе́рвомъ и҆ вторѣ́мъ наказа́нїи ѿрица́йсѧ,

knowing that such a one is perverted, and sinneth, being self-condemned.	вѣ́дый, ꙗ҆́кѡ разврати́сѧ таковы́й, и҆ согрѣша́етъ, и҆ є҆́сть самоѡсꙋжде́нъ.
12	12
When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, give diligence to come unto me to Nicopolis: for there I have determined to winter.	Є҆гда̀ послю̀ а҆рте́мꙋ къ тебѣ̀ и҆лѝ тѷхі́ка, потщи́сѧ прїитѝ ко мнѣ̀ въ нїкопо́ль: та́мѡ бо сꙋди́хъ ѡ҆зимѣ́ти.
13	13
Set forward Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.	Зи́нꙋ зако́нника и҆ а҆поллѡ́са ско́рѡ предпослѝ, и҆ да ничто́же и҆̀мъ скꙋ́дно бꙋ́детъ.
14	14
And let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.	Да оу҆ча́тсѧ же и҆ на́ши дѡ́брымъ дѣлѡ́мъ прилѣжа́ти въ нꙋ̑жнаѧ тре́бѡванїѧ, да не бꙋ́дꙋтъ безпло́дни.
15	15
All that are with me salute thee. Salute them that love us in faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.	Цѣлꙋ́ютъ тѧ̀ со мно́ю сꙋ́щїи всѝ. Цѣлꙋ́й лю́бѧщыѧ ны̀ въ вѣ́рѣ. Блгⷣть со всѣ́ми ва́ми. А҆ми́нь.
