| Surely vain are all men by nature, who are ignorant of God, and could not out of the good things that are seen know him that is: neither by considering the works did they acknowledge the workmaster; | Сyетни u5бо вси2 человёцы є3стeственнэ, въ ни1хже њбрэтaетсz невёдэніе њ бз7э, и3 t ви1димыхъ бл†гъ не возмог0ша ўразумёти сyщаго, ни дэлHмъ внeмлюще познaша хитрецA: |

| but deemed either fire, or wind, or the swift air, or the circle of the stars, or the violent water, or the lights of heaven, to be the gods which govern the world. | но и3ли2 џгнь, и3ли2 дyхъ, и3ли2 ск0ръ воздyхъ, и3ли2 крyгъ ѕвёздный, и3ли2 ѕёлную в0ду, и3ли2 свэти6ла небє1снаz, строи1тєли мjру б0ги (бhти) возмнёша. |

| With whose beauty if they being delighted took them to be gods; let them know how much better the Lord of them is: for the first author of beauty hath created them. | И$хже ѓще ќбw красот0ю ўслаждaющесz, сі‰ б0ги возмнёша, да ўвёдzтъ, коли1кw си1хъ вLка є4сть лyчшій: красотh бо родоначaлникъ создA |. |

| But if they were astonished at their power and virtue, let them understand by them, how much mightier he is that made them. | Ѓще же си1лэ и3 дёйствію ўдиви1шасz, да ўразумёютъ t ни1хъ, коли1кw сотвори1вый сі‰ си1льнэйшій є4сть: |

| For by the greatness and beauty of the creatures proportionably the maker of them is seen. | t вели1чества бо красоты2 создaній сравни1телнw рододёлатель и4хъ познавaетсz. |

| But yet for this they are the less to be blamed: for they peradventure err, seeking God, and desirous to find him. | Но nбaче на си1хъ є4сть ўничижeніе мaло, и4бо сaми сjи нeгли прельщaютсz, бGа и4щуще и3 хотsще њбрэсти2: |

| For being conversant in his works they search him diligently, and believe their sight: because the things are beautiful that are seen. | въ дёлэхъ бо є3гw2 живyще и3зслёдуютъ и3 ўвэщавaютсz зрaкомъ, ћкw бл†га ви6димаz. |

| Howbeit neither are they to be pardoned. | Пaки нижE сjи прощeніz дост0йни: |

| For if they were able to know so much, that they could aim at the world; how did they not sooner find out the Lord thereof? | ѓще бо толи1кw возмог0ша вёдэти, да возм0гутъ ўразумёти вёкъ, си1хъ же вLку кaкw скорёе не њбрэт0ша; |

| But miserable are they, and in dead things is their hope, who called them gods, which are the works of men's hands, gold and silver, to shew art in, and resemblances of beasts, or a stone good for nothing, the work of an ancient hand. | Њкаsнни же сyть, и3 въ мeртвыхъ ўпов†ніz и4хъ, и5же назвaша б0ги дэлA рyкъ человёческихъ, злaто и3 сребро2, хи1трости ўмышлeніе, и3 подHбіz жив0тныхъ, и3ли2 кaменіе неключи1мо, дёло руки2 дрeвніz. |

| Now a carpenter that felleth timber, after he hath sawn down a tree meet for the purpose, and taken off all the bark skilfully round about, and hath wrought it handsomely, and made a vessel thereof fit for the service of man's life; | Ѓще же кто2 дровосёчецъ тектHнъ, ўг0дное дрeво tсёкъ, њтeшетъ благохуд0жнэ всю2 корY є3гw2, и3 хи1трствуz благолёпнэ сотвори1тъ ўг0денъ сосyдъ во ўпотреблeніе житіS, |

| and after spending the refuse of his work to dress his meat, hath filled himself; | њстaнки же дёла на ўгот0ваніе брaшна и3знури1въ насhтисz: |

| and taking the very refuse among those which served to no use, being a crooked piece of wood, and full of knots, hath carved it diligently when he had nothing else to do, and formed it by the skill of his understanding, and fashioned it to the image of a man; | њстaнокъ же и4же t ни1хъ ни во что2 благопотрeбенъ, дрeво кри1во и3 сyчіz п0лно, пріи1мъ и3зваS съ прилэжaніемъ прaздности своеS и3 и3скyсствомъ рaзума и3з8wбрази2 є3го2, и3 ўпод0би є3го2 w4бразу человёчу, |

| or made it like some vile beast, laying it over with vermilion, and with paint colouring it red, and colouring every spot therein; | и3ли2 нёкоему жив0тному ничт0жному ўпод0би є3го2, помaзавъ шaрами разли1чными и3 њчервлени1въ ви1дъ є3гw2, и3 всsкъ пор0къ, и4же на нeмъ є4сть, и3змaзавъ, |

| and when he had made a convenient room for it, set it in a wall, and made it fast with iron: | и3 сотвори1въ є3мY дост0йное є3гw2 њбитaніе, на стэнЁ постaви є5, ўкрэпи1въ желёзомъ. |

| for he provided for it that it might not fall, knowing that it was unable to help itself; for it is an image, and hath need of help. | Да не ќбw падeтъ, пред8умhсли њ нeмъ, вёдый, ћкw не м0жетъ помощи2 себЁ: и4бо јдwлъ є4сть и3 трeбуетъ п0мощи. |

| Then maketh he prayer for his goods, for his wife and children, and is not ashamed to speak to that which hath no life. | Њ стzжaніихъ же и3 њ брaцэхъ и3 чaдэхъ свои1хъ молsсz, не стыди1тсz къ бездyшному глаг0лz, |

| For health he calleth upon that which is weak: for life prayeth to that which is dead: for aid humbly beseecheth that which hath least means to help: and for a good journey he asketh of that which cannot set a foot forward: | и3 њ здрaвіи ќбw немощн0е призывaетъ, и3 њ животЁ мeртвое м0литъ, и3 въ п0мощь неключи1мое призывaетъ, |

| and for gaining and getting, and for good success of his hands, asketh ability to do of him, that is most unable to do any thing. | и3 њ путешeствіи (пр0ситъ) нижE ходи1ти могyщаго, и3 њ притzжaніи и3 дэsніи и3 њ рyкъ подтверждeніи некрёпкаго рукaми, мyжества пр0ситъ t тогw2, є4же всёхъ є4сть немощнёйшее. |
