Видѣ́ніє, є́же ви́дѣ Иса́іа сы́нъ Амо́совъ, є́же ви́дѣ на Іуде́ю и на Ієрусали́мъ, въ ца́рство Озі́и и Іоаѳа́ма, и Аха́за и Єзекі́и, и́же ца́рствоваша во Іуде́и.

The vision which Esaias the son of Amos saw, which he saw against Juda and against Jerusalem, in the reign of Ozias, and Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, who reigned over Judea.

Слы́ши, небо, и внуши́, земле́, я́ко Госпо́дь возглаго́ла: сы́ны роди́хъ и возвы́сихъ, ті́и же отверго́шася мене́.

Hear, O heaven, and hearken, O earth: for the Lord has spoken, saying, I have begotten and reared up children, but they have rebelled against me.

Позна́ во́лъ стяжа́вшаго и́, и осе́лъ я́сли господи́на своєго́: Ізра́иль же Мене́ не позна́, и лю́діє Мои́ не разумѣ́ша.

The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel does not know me, and the people has not regarded me.

Увы́, язы́къ грѣ́шный, лю́діє испо́лнени грѣхо́въ, сѣ́мя лука́воє, сы́нове беззако́нніи, оста́висте Го́спода и разгнѣ́васте свята́го Ізра́илева, отврати́теся вспя́ть.

Ah sinful nation, a people full of sins, an evil seed, lawless children: ye have forsaken the Lord, and provoked the Holy One of Israel.

Что́ єще́ уязвля́єтеся, прилага́юще беззако́ніє? Вся́кая глава́ въ болѣ́знь, и вся́коє се́рдце въ печа́ль.

Why should ye be smitten any more, transgressing more and more? the whole head is pained, and the whole heart sad.

От но́гъ да́же до главы́ нѣ́сть въ не́мъ цѣ́лости: ни стру́пъ, ни я́зва, ни ра́на паля́щаяся: нѣ́сть пла́стыря приложи́ти, ниже́ єле́а, ниже́ обяза́нія.

From the feet to the head, there is no soundness in them; neither wound, nor bruise, nor festering ulcer are healed: it is not possible to apply a plaister, nor oil, nor bandages.

Земля́ ва́ша пуста́, гра́ди ва́ши огне́мъ пожже́ни, страну́ ва́шу предъ ва́ми чужді́и пояда́ютъ, и опустѣ́ низвраще́на от люді́й чужди́хъ.

Your land is desolate, your cities burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is made desolate, overthrown by strange nations.

Оста́вится дще́рь Сіо́ня, я́ко ку́ща въ віногра́дѣ и я́ко ово́щноє храни́лище въ вертогра́дѣ, я́ко гра́дъ вою́ємый.

The daughter of Sion shall be deserted as a tent in a vineyard, and as a storehouse of fruits in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.

И а́ще не бы́ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ оста́вилъ на́мъ сѣ́мене, я́ко Содо́ма у́бо бы́ли бы́хомъ, и я́ко Гомо́рру уподо́билися бы́хомъ.

And if the Lord of Sabaoth had not left us a seed, we should have been as Sodoma, and we should have been made like to Gomorrha.

Услы́шите сло́во Госпо́дне, кня́зи Содо́мстіи: внемли́те зако́ну Бо́жію, лю́діє Гомо́ррстіи.

Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodoma; attend to the law of God, thou people of Gomorrha.

Что́ ми мно́жество же́ртвъ ва́шихъ, глаго́летъ Госпо́дь? Испо́лненъ є́смь всесожже́ній о́внихъ и ту́ка а́гнцевъ, и кро́ве юнце́въ и козло́въ не хощу́.

Of what value to me is the abundance of your sacrifices? saith the Lord: I am full of whole-burnt-offerings of rams; and I delight not in the fat of lambs, and the blood of bulls and goats:

Ниже́ приходи́те яви́тися ми́: кто́ бо изыска́ сія́ изъ ру́къ ва́шихъ? Ходи́ти по двору́ моєму́ не приложите́.

neither shall ye come with these to appear before me; for who has required these things at your hands? Ye shall no more tread my court.

И а́ще принесе́те ми́ семіда́лъ, всу́є: кади́ло ме́рзость ми́ є́сть.

Though ye bring fine flour, it is vain; incense is an abomination to me; I cannot bear your new moons, and your sabbaths, and the great day;

Новоме́сячій ва́шихъ и суббо́тъ и дне́ вели́каго не потерплю́: поста́ и пра́здности, и новоме́сячій ва́шихъ и пра́здниковъ ва́шихъ ненави́дитъ душа́ моя́: бы́сте ми́ въ сы́тость, ктому́ не стерплю́ грѣхо́въ ва́шихъ.

your fasting, and rest from work, your new moons also, and your feasts my soul hates: ye have become loathsome to me; I will no more pardon your sins.

Єгда́ простре́те ру́ки [ва́шя] ко мнѣ́, отвращу́ о́чи мои́ от ва́съ: и а́ще умно́жите моле́ніє, не услы́шу ва́съ: ру́ки бо ва́шя испо́лнены кро́ве.

When ye stretch forth your hands, I will turn away mine eyes from you: and though ye make many supplications, I will not hearken to you; for your hands are full of blood.

Измы́йтеся, [и] чи́сти бу́дите, отими́те лука́вства от ду́шъ ва́шихъ предъ очи́ма мои́ма, преста́ните от лука́вствъ ва́шихъ.

Wash you, be clean; remove your iniquities from your souls before mine eyes; cease from your iniquities;

Научи́теся добро́ твори́ти, взыщи́те суда́, изба́вите оби́димаго, суди́те си́ру и оправди́те вдови́цу,

learn to do well; diligently seek judgment, deliver him that is suffering wrong, plead for the orphan, and obtain justice for the widow.

и пріиди́те, и истя́жимся, глаго́летъ Госпо́дь. И а́ще бу́дутъ грѣси́ ва́ши я́ко багря́ноє, я́ко снѣ́гъ убѣлю́: а́ще же бу́дутъ я́ко червле́ноє, я́ко во́лну убѣлю́.

And come, let us reason together, saith the Lord: and though your sins be as purple, I will make them white as snow; and though they be as scarlet, I will make them white as wool.

И а́ще хо́щете и послу́шаєте мене́, блага́я земли́ снѣ́сте:

And if ye be willing, and hearken to me, ye shall eat the good of the land:

а́ще же не хо́щете, ниже́ послу́шаєте мене́, ме́чь вы́ поя́стъ: уста́ бо Госпо́дня глаго́лаша сія́.

but if ye be not willing, nor hearken to me, a sword shall devour you: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken this.

Ка́ко бы́сть блудни́ца гра́дъ вѣ́рный Сіо́нъ по́лнъ суда́? въ не́мже пра́вда почива́ше, ны́нѣ же [въ не́мъ] убі́йцы.

How has the faithful city Sion, once full of judgment, become a harlot! wherein righteousness lodged, but now murderers.

Сребро́ ва́ше неискуше́но, корче́мницы твои́ мѣша́ютъ віно́ съ водо́ю.

Your silver is worthless, thy wine merchants mix the wine with water.

Кня́зи твои́ не покаря́ются, о́бщницы тате́мъ, лю́бяще да́ры, гоня́ще воздая́ніє, си́рымъ не судя́щіи и суду́ вдови́цъ не внима́ющіи.

Thy princes are rebellious, companions of thieves, loving bribes, seeking after rewards; not pleading for orphans, and not heeding the cause of widows.

Сего́ ра́ди та́ко глаго́летъ Влады́ка Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ: го́ре крѣ́пкимъ во Ізра́или: не преста́нетъ бо я́рость моя́ на проти́вныя, и су́дъ враго́мъ мои́мъ сотворю́:

Therefore thus saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Woe to the mighty men of Israel; for my wrath shall not cease against mine adversaries, and I will execute judgment on mine enemies.

и наведу́ ру́ку мою́ на тя́, и разжегу́ въ чистоту́, непокаря́ющихся же погублю́, и отиму́ всѣ́хъ беззако́нныхъ от тебе́, и всѣ́хъ го́рдыхъ смирю́.

And I will bring my hand upon thee, and purge thee completely, and I will destroy the rebellious, and will take away from thee all transgressors.

И приста́влю судіи́ твоя́ я́коже пре́жде, и совѣ́тники твоя́ я́ко от нача́ла: и по си́хъ нарѣче́шися гра́дъ пра́вды, ма́ти градово́мъ, вѣ́рный Сіо́нъ.

And I will establish thy judges as before, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: and afterward thou shalt be called the city of righteousness, the faithful mother-city Sion.

Съ судо́мъ бо спасе́тся плѣне́ніє єго́ и съ ми́лостынею.

For her captives shall be saved with judgment, and with mercy.

И сокруша́тся беззако́нніи и грѣ́шницы вку́пѣ, и оста́вившіи Го́спода сконча́ются:

And the transgressors and the sinners shall be crushed together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be utterly consumed.

зане́же постыдя́тся о і́долѣхъ свои́хъ, и́хже са́ми восхотѣ́ша, и посра́мятся о садѣ́хъ свои́хъ, и́хже возжелѣ́ша.

For they shall be ashamed of their idols, which they delighted in, and they are made ashamed of the gardens which they coveted.

Бу́дутъ бо я́ко тереві́нѳъ отме́тнувый ли́ствія [своя́], и я́ко вертогра́дъ не имы́й воды́.

For they shall be as a turpentine tree that has cast its leaves, and as a garden that has no water.

И бу́детъ крѣ́пость и́хъ я́ко сте́бль изгре́бія, и дѣ́ланія и́хъ я́ко и́скры о́гненныя, и сожгу́тся беззако́нницы и грѣ́шницы вку́пѣ, и не бу́детъ угаша́яй.

And their strength shall be as a thread of tow, and their works as sparks, and the transgressors and the sinners shall be burnt up together, and there shall be none to quench them.

Сло́во бы́вшеє от Го́спода ко Иса́іи сы́ну Амо́сову о Іуде́и и о Ієрусали́мѣ.

The word which came to Esaias the son of Amos concerning Judea, and concerning Jerusalem.

Я́ко бу́детъ въ послѣ́днія дни́ явле́на гора́ Госпо́дня, и до́мъ Бо́жій на версѣ́ го́ръ, и возвы́сится превы́ше холмо́въ: и пріи́дутъ къ не́й вси́ язы́цы.

For in the last days the mountain of the Lord shall be glorious, and the house of God shall be on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall come to it.

И по́йдутъ язы́цы мно́зи и реку́тъ: пріиди́те, и взы́демъ на го́ру Госпо́дню и въ до́мъ Бо́га Іа́ковля, и возвѣсти́тъ на́мъ пу́ть сво́й, и по́йдемъ по нему́. От Сіо́на бо изы́детъ зако́нъ, и сло́во Госпо́дне изъ Ієрусали́ма:

And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will tell us his way, and we will walk in it: for out of Sion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.

и суди́ти бу́детъ посредѣ́ язы́къ и изобличи́тъ лю́ди мно́ги: и раскую́тъ мечы́ своя́ на ора́ла и ко́пія своя́ на серпы́, и не во́зметъ язы́къ на язы́къ меча́, и не навы́кнутъ ктому́ ра́товатися.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plough-shares, and their spears into sickles: and nation shall not take up sword against nation, neither shall they learn to war any more.

И ны́нѣ, до́ме Іа́ковль, пріиди́те, по́йдемъ свѣ́томъ Госпо́днимъ.

And now, O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.

Оста́ви бо лю́ди своя́, до́мъ Іа́ковль: зане́ я́коже изъ нача́ла напо́лнися страна́ и́хъ волхвова́ній, я́коже иноплеме́нниковъ, и ча́да мно́га иноплеме́ннича роди́шася и́мъ.

For he has forsaken his people the house of Israel, because their land is filled as at the beginning with divinations, as the land of the Philistines, and many strange children were born to them.

Напо́лнися бо страна́ и́хъ сребра́ и зла́та, и не бя́ше числа́ сокро́вищъ и́хъ: и напо́лнися земля́ и́хъ ко́ней, и не бя́ше числа́ колесни́цъ и́хъ:

For their land is filled with silver and gold, and there was no number of their treasures; their land also is filled with horses, and there was no number of their chariots.

и напо́лнися земля́ ме́рзостей дѣ́лъ ру́къ и́хъ, и поклони́шася тѣ́мъ, я́же сотвори́ша пе́рсты и́хъ:

And the land is filled with abominations, even the works of their hands; and they have worshipped the works which their fingers made.

и преклони́ся человѣ́къ, и смири́ся му́жъ, и не претерплю́ и́мъ.

And the mean man bowed down, and the great man was humbled: and I will not pardon them.

И ны́нѣ вни́дите въ ка́меніє и скры́йтеся въ зе́млю от лица́ стра́ха Госпо́дня и от сла́вы крѣ́пости єго́, єгда́ воста́нетъ сокруши́ти зе́млю.

Now therefore enter ye into the rocks, and hide yourselves in the earth, for fear of the Lord, and by reason of the glory of his might, when he shall arise to strike terribly the earth.

О́чи бо Госпо́дни высо́цы, человѣ́къ же смире́нъ: и смири́тся высота́ человѣ́ческая, и вознесе́тся Госпо́дь єди́нъ въ де́нь о́ный.

For the eyes of the Lord are high, but man is low; and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

Де́нь бо Го́спода Савао́ѳа на вся́каго досади́теля и гордели́ваго, и на вся́каго высо́каго и велича́ваго, и смиря́тся:

For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and haughty, and upon every one that is high and towering, and they shall be brought down;

и на вся́къ ке́дръ Ліва́нскій высо́кихъ и превознесе́нныхъ и на вся́ко дре́во же́лудя Васа́нска,

and upon every cedar of Libanus, of them that are high and towering, and upon every oak of Basan,

и на вся́кую го́ру высо́кую и на вся́кій хо́лмъ высо́кій,

and upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill,

и на вся́кій сто́лпъ высо́къ и на вся́кую стѣ́ну высо́кую,

and upon every high tower, and upon every high wall,

и на вся́кій кора́бль морскі́й и на вся́ко видѣ́ніє добро́ты корабле́й.

and upon every ship of the sea, and upon every display of fine ships.

И смири́тся вся́кій человѣ́къ, и паде́тся высота́ человѣ́ча, и вознесе́тся Госпо́дь єди́нъ въ де́нь о́ный.

And every man shall be brought low, and the pride of men shall fall: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.

И рукотворе́ная вся́ скры́ютъ,

And they shall hide all idols made with hands,

вне́сше въ пеще́ры и въ разсѣ́лины ка́меній и въ верте́пы земны́я, от лица́ стра́ха Госпо́дня и от сла́вы крѣ́пости єго́, єгда́ воста́нетъ сокруши́ти зе́млю.

having carried them into the caves, and into the clefts of the rocks, and into the caverns of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and by reason of the glory of his might, when he shall arise to strike terribly the earth.

Въ де́нь бо о́ный изри́нетъ человѣ́къ ме́рзости своя́ златы́я и сре́бряныя, я́же сотвори́ша, да покланя́ются су́єтнымъ и нетопыре́мъ,

For in that day a man shall cast forth his silver and gold abominations, which they made in order to worship vanities and bats;

є́же вни́ти въ верте́пы тве́рдаго ка́мене и въ разсѣ́лины ка́меній, от лица́ стра́ха Госпо́дня и от сла́вы крѣ́пости єго́, єгда́ воста́нетъ сокруши́ти зе́млю.

to enter into the caverns of the solid rock, and into the clefts of the rocks, for fear of the Lord, and by reason of the glory of his might, when he shall arise to strike terribly the earth.

Оста́вите [у́бо] ва́мъ человѣ́ка, єму́же є́сть дыха́ніє въ ноздре́хъ єго́: я́ко въ че́мъ вмѣни́ся се́й?

Се́, Влады́ка Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ отъи́метъ от Ієрусали́ма и от Іуде́и крѣ́пкаго и крѣ́пкую, крѣ́пость хлѣ́ба и крѣ́пость воды́,

Behold now, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will take away from Jerusalem and from Judea the mighty man and mighty woman, the strength of bread, and the strength of water,

исполи́на и крѣ́пкаго, и человѣ́ка ра́тника и судію́, и проро́ка и смотрели́ваго, и ста́рца

the great and mighty man, the warrior and the judge, and the prophet, and the counsellor, and the elder,

и пятьдесятонача́лника, и ди́внаго совѣ́тника и прему́драго архіте́ктона и разу́мнаго послу́шателя.

the captain of fifty also, and the honourable counsellor, and the wise artificer, and the intelligent hearer.

И поста́влю ю́ношы кня́зи и́хъ, и руга́теліє госпо́дствовати бу́дутъ и́ми.

And I will make youths their princes, and mockers shall have dominion over them.

И напа́дати и́мутъ лю́діє, человѣ́къ на человѣ́ка, и человѣ́къ на бли́жняго своєго́: прирази́тся отроча́ къ ста́рцу, и безче́стный къ честно́му.

And the people shall fall, man upon man, and every man upon his neighbour: the child shall insult the elder man, and the base the honourable.

Я́ко и́мется человѣ́къ бра́та своєго́, или́ дома́шняго отца́ своєго́, глаго́ля: ри́зу и́маши, началово́ждь на́мъ бу́ди, и бра́шно моє́ подъ тобо́ю да бу́детъ.

For a man shall lay hold of his brother, as one of his father's household, saying, Thou hast raiment, be thou our ruler, and let my meat be under thee.

И отвѣща́въ въ де́нь о́ный рече́тъ: не бу́ду тво́й началово́ждь, нѣ́сть бо въ дому́ моє́мъ ни хлѣ́ба, ни ри́зы: не бу́ду началово́ждь лю́демъ си́мъ.

And he shall answer in that day, and say, I will not be thy ruler; for I have no bread in my house, nor raiment: I will not be the ruler of this people.

Я́ко оста́вленъ бы́сть Ієрусали́мъ, и Іуде́а паде́, и язы́къ и́хъ со беззако́ніємъ, не покаря́ющься Го́сподеви.

For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judea has fallen, and their tongues have spoken with iniquity, disobedient as they are towards the Lord.

Сего́ ра́ди ны́нѣ смири́ся сла́ва и́хъ, и сту́дъ лица́ и́хъ проти́ву ста́ и́мъ: грѣ́хъ же сво́й я́ко Содо́мскій возвѣсти́ша и яви́ша. Го́ре души́ и́хъ, зане́ умы́слиша совѣ́тъ лука́вый на себе́ сами́хъ,

Wherefore now their glory has been brought low, and the shame of their countenance has withstood them, and they have proclaimed their sin as Sodom, and made it manifest.

ре́кше: свя́жемъ пра́веднаго, я́ко непотре́бенъ на́мъ є́сть. У́бо плоды́ дѣ́лъ свои́хъ снѣдя́тъ.

Woe to their soul, for they have devised an evil counsel against themselves, saying against themselves, Let us bind the just, for he is burdensome to us: therefore shall they eat the fruits of their works.

Го́ре беззако́нному: лука́вая бо приключа́тся єму́ по дѣло́мъ руку́ єго́.

Woe to the transgressor! evils shall happen to him according to the works of his hands.

Лю́діє мои́, приста́вницы ва́ши пожина́ютъ ва́съ, и истяза́ющіи облада́ютъ ва́ми: лю́діє мои́, блажа́щіи ва́съ льстя́тъ вы́ и стези́ но́гъ ва́шихъ возмуща́ютъ.

O my people, your exactors strip you, and extortioners rule over you: O my people, they that pronounce you blessed lead you astray, and pervert the path of your feet.

Но ны́нѣ устро́ится Госпо́дь на су́дъ и поста́витъ на су́дъ лю́ди своя́:

But now the Lord will stand up for judgment, and will enter into judgment with his people.

са́мъ Госпо́дь на су́дъ пріи́детъ со старѣ́йшины люді́й и со кня́зи и́хъ. Вы́ же почто́ запали́сте віногра́дъ мо́й, и разграбле́ніє убо́гаго въ домѣ́хъ ва́шихъ?

The Lord himself shall enter into judgment with the elders of the people, and with their rulers: but why have ye set my vineyard on fire, and why is the spoil of the poor in your houses?

почто́ вы́ оби́дите люді́й мои́хъ и лице́ убо́гихъ посрамля́єте? глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ.

Why do ye wrong my people, and shame the face of the poor?

Сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: поне́же вознесо́шася дще́ри Сіо́ни и ходи́ша высо́кою вы́єю и помиза́ніємъ оче́съ и ступа́ніємъ но́гъ, ку́пно ри́зы влеку́шыя [по до́лу] и нога́ма ку́пно игра́ющыя:

Thus saith the Lord, Because the daughters of Sion are haughty, and have walked with an outstretched neck, and with winking of the eyes, and motion of the feet, at the same time drawing their garments in trains, and at the same time sporting with their feet:

и смири́тъ Госпо́дь нача́лныя дще́ри Сіо́ни, и Госпо́дь откры́єтъ срамоту́ и́хъ.

therefore the Lord will humble the chief daughters of Sion, and the Lord will expose their form in that day;

Въ де́нь о́нъ, и отъи́метъ Госпо́дь сла́ву ри́зъ и́хъ и красоты́ и́хъ, и вплете́нія злата́я [на главѣ́] и тре́сны ри́зныя, и лу́ницы гри́венныя

and the Lord will take away the glory of their raiment, the curls and the fringes, and the crescents,

и срачи́цы то́нкія, и красоту́ лица́ и́хъ и состроє́ніє красы́ сла́вныя, и о́бручи и пе́рстни, и мони́ста и запя́стія и худо́жныя усеря́зи,

and the chains, and the ornaments of their faces,

и багряни́цы и пребагря́ная, и у́тварь хра́мную

and the array of glorious ornaments, and the armlets, and the bracelets, and the wreathed work, and the finger-rings, and the ornaments for the right hand, and the ear-rings,

и свѣ́тлая лако́нская, и виссо́ны и синеты́, и червлени́цы

and the garments with scarlet borders, and the garments with purple grounds,

и виссо́нъ со зла́томъ и синето́ю преты́каны, и тончи́цы преи́маны зла́томъ:

and the shawls to be worn in the house, and the Spartan transparent dresses,

и бу́детъ вмѣ́сто вони́ до́брыя смра́дъ, и вмѣ́сто по́яса у́жемъ препоя́шешися, и вмѣ́сто украше́нія злата́го, є́же на главѣ́, плѣ́шь имѣ́ти бу́деши дѣ́лъ твои́хъ ра́ди, и вмѣ́сто ри́зы багря́ныя препоя́шешися вре́тищемъ:

and those made of fine linen, and the purple ones, and the scarlet ones, and the fine linen, interwoven with gold and purple, and the light coverings for couches.

и сы́нъ тво́й добрѣ́йшій, єго́же лю́биши, мече́мъ паде́тъ, и крѣ́пцыи ва́ши мече́мъ паду́тъ и смиря́тся:

And there shall be instead of a sweet smell, dust; and instead of a girdle, thou shalt gird thyself with a rope; and instead of a golden ornament for the head, thou shalt have baldness on account of thy works; and instead of a tunic with a scarlet ground, thou shalt gird thyself with sackcloth.

и воспла́чутся храни́лища у́тварей ва́шихъ, и оста́нешися єди́на и о зе́млю уда́рена бу́деши.

And thy most beautiful son whom thou lovest shall fall by the sword; and your mighty men shall fall by the sword, and shall be brought low.

И и́мутся се́дмь же́нъ за му́жа єди́наго, глаго́лющя: хлѣ́бъ на́шъ я́сти бу́демъ и въ ри́зы на́шя одѣва́тися, то́чію и́мя твоє́ да нарече́тся на на́съ, отими́ укори́зну на́шу.

And seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own raiment: only let thy name be called upon us, and take away our reproach.

Въ де́нь о́ный возсія́єтъ Бо́гъ въ совѣ́тѣ со сла́вою на земли́, є́же вознести́ и просла́вити оста́нокъ Ізра́иля.

And in that day God shall shine gloriously in counsel on the earth, to exalt and glorify the remnant of Israel.

И бу́детъ оста́нокъ въ Сіо́нѣ и оста́нокъ во Ієрусали́мѣ, святи нареку́тся вси́ напи́санніи въ жи́знь во Ієрусали́мѣ:

And it shall be, that the remnant left in Sion, and the remnant left in Jerusalem, even all that are appointed to life in Jerusalem, shall be called holy.

я́ко отмы́єтъ Госпо́дь скве́рну сыно́въ и дще́рей Сіо́нскихъ и кро́вь Ієрусали́мску очи́ститъ от среды́ и́хъ ду́хомъ суда́ и ду́хомъ зно́я.

For the Lord shall wash away the filth of the sons and daughters of Sion, and shall purge out the blood from the midst of them, with the spirit of judgment, and the spirit of burning.

И пріи́детъ Госпо́дь, и бу́детъ все́ мѣ́сто горы́ Сіо́ни, и вся́ я́же о́крестъ єя́ осѣни́тъ о́блакъ во дни́, и я́ко ды́ма и свѣ́та о́гненна горя́ща въ нощи́, все́ю сла́вою покры́єтся:

And he shall come, and it shall be with regard to every place of mount Sion, yea, all the region round about it shall a cloud overshadow by day, and there shall be as it were the smoke and light of fire burning by night: and upon all the glory shall be a defence.

и бу́детъ въ сѣ́нь от зно́я и въ покро́въ и въ сокрове́ніє от же́стости и дождя́.

And it shall be for a shadow from the heat, and as a shelter and a hiding-place from inclemency of weather and from rain.

Воспою́ ны́нѣ возлю́бленному пѣ́снь возлю́бленнаго моєго́ віногра́ду моєму́: віногра́дъ бы́сть возлю́бленному въ ро́зѣ, на мѣ́стѣ ту́чнѣ:

Now I will sing to my beloved a song of my beloved concerning my vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a high hill in a fertile place.

и огражде́ніємъ огради́хъ и окопа́хъ, и насади́хъ ло́зу избра́нну, и созда́хъ сто́лпъ посредѣ́ єго́, и предточи́ліє ископа́хъ въ не́мъ, и жда́хъ, да сотвори́тъ гро́здіє, и сотвори́ те́рніє.

And I made a hedge round it, and dug a trench, and planted a choice vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a place for the wine-vat in it: and I waited for it to bring forth grapes, and it brought forth thorns.

И ны́нѣ, живу́щіи во Ієрусали́мѣ и человѣ́че Іу́динъ, суди́те между́ мно́ю и віногра́домъ мои́мъ.

And now, ye dwellers in Jerusalem, and every man of Juda, judge between me and my vineyard.

Что́ сотворю́ єще́ віногра́ду моєму́, и не сотвори́хъ єму́? зане́же жда́хъ, да сотвори́тъ гро́здіє, сотвори́ же те́рніє.

What shall I do any more to my vineyard, that I have not done to it? Whereas I expected it to bring forth grapes, but it has brought forth thorns.

Ны́нѣ у́бо возвѣщу́ ва́мъ, что́ а́зъ сотворю́ віногра́ду моєму́: отиму́ огражде́ніє єго́, и бу́детъ въ разграбле́ніє: и разорю́ стѣ́ну єго́, и бу́детъ въ попра́ніє.

And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be for a spoil; and I will pull down its walls, and it shall be left to be trodden down.

И оста́влю віногра́дъ мо́й, и ктому́ не обрѣ́жется, ниже́ покопа́єтся, и взы́детъ на не́мъ, я́коже на ляди́нѣ, те́рніє: и облако́мъ заповѣ́мъ, є́же не одожди́ти на него́ дождя́.

And I will forsake my vineyard; and it shall not be pruned, nor dug, and thorns shall come up upon it as on barren land; and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it.

Віногра́дъ бо Го́спода Савао́ѳа, до́мъ Ізра́илевъ є́сть, и человѣ́къ Іу́динъ но́вый са́дъ возлю́бленный: жда́хъ, да сотвори́тъ су́дъ, сотвори́ же беззако́ніє, и не пра́вду, но во́пль.

For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Juda his beloved plant: I expected it to bring forth judgment, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry.

Го́ре совокупля́ющымъ до́мъ къ до́му и село́ къ селу́ приближа́ющымъ, да бли́жнему оти́мутъ что́: єда́ вселите́ся єди́ни на земли́?

Woe to them that join house to house, and add field to field, that they may take away something of their neighbour's: will ye dwell alone upon the land?

Услы́шашася бо во ушесѣ́хъ Го́спода Савао́ѳа сія́: а́ще бо бу́дутъ до́мове мно́зи, въ запустѣ́ніє бу́дутъ вели́цыи и до́бріи, и не бу́дутъ живу́щіи въ ни́хъ:

For these things have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts: for though many houses should be built, many and fair houses shall be desolate, and there shall be no inhabitants in them.

идѣ́же бо возорю́тъ де́сять супру́гъ воло́въ, сотвори́тъ корча́гъ єди́нъ, и сѣ́яй Артава́съ ше́сть сотвори́тъ мѣ́ры три́.

For where ten yoke of oxen plough the land shall yield one jar-full, and he that sows six homers shall produce three measures.

Го́ре востаю́щымъ зау́тра и Сіке́ръ гоня́щымъ, жду́щымъ ве́чера: віно́ бо сожже́тъ я́:

Woe to them that rise up in the morning, and follow strong drink; who wait at it till the evening: for the wine shall inflame them.

со гу́сльми бо и пѣвни́цами, и тимпа́ны и свирѣ́льми віно́ пію́тъ, на дѣла́ же Госпо́дня не взира́ютъ и дѣ́лъ руку́ єго́ не помышля́ютъ.

For they drink wine with harp, and psaltery, and drums, and pipes: but they regard not the works of the Lord, and consider not the works of his hands.

У́бо плѣне́ни бы́ша лю́діє мои́, за є́же не вѣ́дѣти и́мъ Го́спода, и мно́жество бы́сть ме́ртвыхъ гла́да ра́ди и жа́жди водны́я.

Therefore my people have been taken captive, because they know not the Lord: and there has been a multitude of dead bodies, because of hunger and of thirst for water.

И разшири́ а́дъ ду́шу свою́ и разве́рзе уста́ своя́, є́же не преста́ти: и сни́дутъ сла́вніи и вели́цыи и бога́тіи и губи́теліє и́хъ и веселя́йся въ не́мъ:

Therefore hell has enlarged its desire and opened its mouth without ceasing: and her glorious and great, and her rich and her pestilent men shall go down into it.

и смири́тся человѣ́къ, и обезче́стится му́жъ, и о́чи высокогля́дающіи смиря́тся.

And the mean man shall be brought low, and the great man shall be disgraced, and the lofty eyes shall be brought low.

И вознесе́тся Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ въ судѣ́, и Бо́гъ святы́й просла́вится въ пра́вдѣ:

But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and the holy God shall be glorified in righteousness.

и упасу́тся расхище́нніи я́ко юнцы́, и пусты́ни плѣне́нныхъ а́гнцы поядя́тъ.

And they that were spoiled shall be fed as bulls, and lambs shall feed on the waste places of them that are taken away.

Го́ре привлача́ющымъ грѣхи́ я́ко у́жемъ до́лгимъ, и я́ко и́га ю́нична реме́немъ беззако́нія своя́,

Woe to them that draw sins to them as with a long rope, and iniquities as with a thong of the heifer's yoke:

глаго́лющымъ: ско́ро да прибли́жатся, я́же сотвори́тъ, да ви́димъ, и да пріи́детъ совѣ́тъ свята́го Ізра́илева, да разумѣ́ємъ.

who say, Let him speedily hasten what he will do, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel come, that we may know it.

Го́ре глаго́лющымъ лука́воє до́броє, и до́броє лука́воє, полага́ющымъ тму́ свѣ́тъ, и свѣ́тъ тму́, полага́ющымъ го́рькоє сла́дкоє, и сла́дкоє го́рькоє.

Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil; who make darkness light, and light darkness; who make bitter sweet, and sweet bitter.

Го́ре, и́же му́дри въ себѣ́ сами́хъ и предъ собо́ю разу́мни.

Woe to them that are wise in their own conceit, and knowing in their own sight.

Го́ре крѣ́пкимъ ва́шымъ, віно́ пію́щымъ, и вельмо́жамъ растворя́ющымъ Сіке́ръ,

Woe to the strong ones of you that drink wine, and the mighty ones that mingle strong drink:

оправда́ющымъ нечести́ва даро́въ ра́ди, и є́же є́сть пра́ведноє пра́веднаго взе́млющымъ от него́.

who justify the ungodly for rewards, and take away the righteousness of the righteous.

Сего́ ра́ди я́коже сгори́тъ тро́сть от у́глія о́гненнаго и сожже́тся от пла́мене разгорѣ́вшагося, ко́рень и́хъ я́ко пе́рсть бу́детъ, и цвѣ́тъ и́хъ я́ко пра́хъ взы́детъ: не восхотѣ́ша бо зако́на Го́спода Савао́ѳа, но сло́во свята́го Ізра́илева раздражи́ша.

Therefore as stubble shall be burnt by a coal of fire, and shall be consumed by a violent flame, their root shall be as chaff, and their flower shall go up as dust: for they rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and insulted the word of the Holy One of Israel.

И возъяри́ся гнѣ́вомъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ на лю́ди своя́, и наложи́ ру́ку свою́ на ни́хъ, и порази́ и́хъ: и раздражи́шася го́ры, и бы́ша тру́пи и́хъ я́ко гно́й посредѣ́ пути́. И во всѣ́хъ си́хъ не отврати́ся я́рость єго́, но єще́ рука́ єго́ высока́.

Therefore the Lord of hosts was greatly angered against his people, and he reached forth his hand upon them, and smote them: and the mountains were troubled, and their carcases were as dung in the midst of the way: yet for all this his anger has not been turned away, but his hand is yet raised.

Воздви́гнетъ у́бо зна́меніє во язы́цѣхъ су́щихъ дале́че и позви́ждетъ и́мъ от коне́цъ земли́, и се́, ско́ро ле́гцѣ гряду́тъ:

Therefore shall he lift up a signal to the nations that are afar, and shall hiss for them from the end of the earth; and, behold, they are coming very quickly.

не вза́лчутъ, ни утрудя́тся, ни воздре́млютъ, ни поспя́тъ, ни распоя́шутъ по́ясовъ свои́хъ от чре́слъ свои́хъ, ниже́ расто́ргнутся реме́ни сапого́въ и́хъ:

They shall not hunger nor be weary, neither shall they slumber nor sleep; neither shall they loose their girdles from their loins, neither shall their shoe-latchets be broken.

и́хже стрѣ́лы остры́ су́ть, и лу́цы и́хъ напряже́ни: копы́та ко́ней и́хъ я́ко тве́рдъ ка́мень вмѣни́шася, коле́са колесни́цъ и́хъ я́ко бу́ря.

Whose arrows are sharp, and their bows bent; their horses' hoofs are counted as solid rock: their chariot-wheels are as a storm.

Яря́тся я́ко льво́ве, и предста́ша я́ко льви́чища: и и́метъ, и возопіє́тъ я́ко звѣ́рь, и изве́ржетъ, и не бу́детъ отъе́млющаго и́хъ.

They rage as lions, and draw nigh as a lion's whelps: and he shall seize, and roar as a wild beast, and he shall cast them forth, and there shall be none to deliver them.

И возопіє́тъ и́хъ ра́ди въ то́й де́нь, я́ко шу́мъ мо́ря волну́ющася: и воззря́тъ на зе́млю, и се́, тма́ же́стока въ недоумѣ́ніи и́хъ.

And he shall roar on account of them in that day, as the sound of the swelling sea; and they shall look to the land, and, behold, there shall be thick darkness in their perplexity.

И бы́сть въ лѣ́то, въ не́же у́мре Озі́а ца́рь, ви́дѣхъ Го́спода сѣдя́ща на престо́лѣ высо́цѣ и превознесе́ннѣ, и испо́лнь до́мъ сла́вы єго́.

And it came to pass in the year in which king Ozias died, that I saw the Lord sitting on a high and exalted throne, and the house was full of his glory.

И серафі́ми стоя́ху о́крестъ єго́, ше́сть кри́лъ єди́ному и ше́сть кри́лъ друго́му: и двѣма́ у́бо покрыва́ху ли́ца своя́, двѣма́ же покрыва́ху но́ги своя́ и двѣма́ лета́ху.

And seraphs stood round about him: each one had six wings: and with two they covered their face, and with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew.

И взыва́ху дру́гъ ко дру́гу и глаго́лаху: свя́тъ, свя́тъ, свя́тъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ: испо́лнь вся́ земля́ сла́вы єго́.

And one cried to the other, and they said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

И взя́ся наддве́ріє от гла́са, и́мже вопія́ху, и до́мъ напо́лнися ды́ма.

And the lintel shook at the voice they uttered, and the house was filled with smoke.

И реко́хъ: о, окая́нный а́зъ, я́ко умили́хся, я́ко человѣ́къ сы́й и нечи́сты устнѣ́ имы́й, посредѣ́ люді́й нечи́стыя устнѣ́ иму́щихъ а́зъ живу́: и Царя́ Го́спода Савао́ѳа ви́дѣхъ очи́ма мои́ма.

And I said, Woe is me, for I am pricked to the heart; for being a man, and having unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people having unclean lips; and I have seen with mine eyes the King, the Lord of hosts.

И по́сланъ бы́сть ко мнѣ́ єди́нъ от серафі́мовъ, и въ руцѣ́ своє́й имя́ше у́гль горя́щь, єго́же клеща́ми взя́тъ от олтаря́,

And there was sent to me one of the seraphs, and he had in his hand a coal, which he had taken off the altar with the tongs:

и прикосну́ся устна́мъ мои́мъ и рече́: се́, прикосну́ся сіє́ устна́мъ твои́мъ, и отъи́метъ беззако́нія твоя́ и грѣхи́ твоя́ очи́ститъ.

and he touched my mouth, and said, Behold, this has touched thy lips, and will take away thine iniquities, and will purge off thy sins.

И слы́шахъ гла́съ Го́спода глаго́люща: кого́ послю́, и кто́ по́йдетъ къ лю́демъ си́мъ? И реко́хъ: се́, а́зъ є́смь, посли́ мя́.

And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go to this people? And I said, Behold, I am here, send me. And he said, Go, and say to this people,

И рече́: иди́ и рцы́ лю́демъ си́мъ: слу́хомъ услы́шите, и не уразумѣ́єте: и ви́дяще у́зрите, и не уви́дите:

Ye shall hear indeed, but ye shall not understand; and ye shall see indeed, but ye shall not perceive.

одебелѣ́ бо се́рдце люді́й си́хъ, и уши́ма свои́ма тя́жко слы́шаша, и о́чи свои́ смежи́ша, да не когда́ у́зрятъ очи́ма и уши́ма услы́шатъ, и се́рдцемъ уразумѣ́ютъ и обратя́тся, и исцѣлю́ я́.

For the heart of this people has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

И реко́хъ: доко́лѣ, Го́споди? И рече́: до́ндеже опустѣ́ютъ гра́ди, от є́же ненаселе́нымъ бы́ти, и до́мы, от є́же не бы́ти человѣ́комъ, и земля́ оста́нется пуста́.

And I said, How long, O Lord? And he said, Until the cities be deserted by reason of their not being inhabited, and the houses by reason of there being no men, and the land shall be left desolate.

И посе́мъ продолжи́тъ Бо́гъ человѣ́ки, и умно́жатся оста́вльшіися на земли́.

And after this God shall remove the men far off, and they that are left upon the land shall be multiplied.

И єще́ на не́й є́сть десяти́на, и па́ки бу́детъ въ расхище́ніє я́коже тереві́нѳъ и я́ко же́лудь, єгда́ испаде́тъ изъ плю́ски своєя́: сѣ́мя свято стоя́ніє єго́.

And yet there shall be a tenth upon it, and again it shall be for a spoil, as a turpentine tree, and as an acorn when it falls out of its husk.

И бы́сть во дни́ Аха́за сы́на Іоаѳа́мля, сы́на Озі́и, царя́ Іу́дина, взы́де расі́нъ ца́рь Ара́мль, и факе́й сы́нъ ромелі́євъ, ца́рь Ізра́илевъ, на Ієрусали́мъ, воєва́ти на него́, и не возмого́ша разори́ти єго́.

And it came to pass in the days of Achaz the son of Joatham, the son of Ozias, king of Juda, there came up Rasin king of Aram, and Phakee son of Romelias, king of Israel, against Jerusalem to war against it, but they could not take it.

И возвѣсти́ся въ дому́ даві́довѣ, глаго́ля: совѣща́ся Ара́мъ со Єфре́момъ, и ужасе́ся душа́ єго́ и душа́ люді́й єго́, я́коже въ дубра́вѣ дре́во вѣ́тромъ восколе́блется.

And a message was brought to the house of David, saying, Aram has conspired with Ephraim. And his soul was amazed, and the soul of his people, as in a wood a tree is moved by the wind.

И рече́ Госпо́дь ко Иса́іи: изы́ди во срѣ́теніє Аха́зу ты́ и оста́выйся Іасу́въ сы́нъ тво́й, къ купѣ́ли го́рняго пути́ села́ бѣли́лнича,

And the Lord said to Esaias, Go forth to meet Achaz, thou, and thy son Jasub who is left, to the pool of the upper way of the fuller's field.

и рече́ши єму́: блюди́, є́же молча́ти, и не бо́йся, ниже́ душа́ твоя́ да изнемо́жетъ от двою́ дре́ву главе́нь дымя́щихся си́хъ: єгда́ бо гнѣ́въ я́рости моєя́ бу́детъ, па́ки исцѣлю́.

And thou shalt say to him, Take care to be quiet, and fear not, neither let thy soul be disheartened because of these two smoking firebrands: for when my fierce anger is over, I will heal again.

Сы́нъ же Ара́мль и сы́нъ ромелі́євъ я́ко совѣща́ста совѣ́тъ лука́вый на тя́, глаго́люще:

And as for the son of Aram, and the son of Romelias, forasmuch as they have devised an evil counsel, saying,

взы́демъ во Іуде́ю, и собесѣ́довавше съ ни́ми отврати́мъ я́ къ на́мъ и воцари́мъ въ не́й сы́на тавеи́лева:

We will go up against Judea, and having conferred with them we will turn them away to our side, and we will make the son of Tabeel king of it;

сія́ же глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ: не пребу́детъ совѣ́тъ се́й, ниже́ сбу́дется,

thus saith the Lord of hosts, This counsel shall not abide, nor come to pass.

но глава́ Ара́му Дама́скъ, и глава́ Дама́ску расі́нъ: но єще́ шестьдеся́тъ и пя́ть лѣ́тъ, оскудѣ́єтъ ца́рство Єфре́мово от люді́й,

But the head of Aram is Damascus, and the head of Damascus, Rasim; and yet within sixty and five years the kingdom of Ephraim shall cease from being a people.

глава́ же Єфре́мови соморо́нъ, и глава́ соморо́ну сы́нъ ромелі́євъ: и а́ще не увѣ́рите, ниже́ и́мате разумѣ́ти.

And the head of Ephraim is Somoron, and the head of Somoron the son of Romelias: but if ye believe not, neither will ye at all understand.

И приложи́ Госпо́дь глаго́лати ко Аха́зу, рекі́й:

And the Lord again spoke to Achaz, saying,

проси́ себѣ́ зна́менія от Го́спода Бо́га твоєго́ во глубину́, или́ въ высоту́.

Ask for thyself a sign of the Lord thy God, in the depth or in the height.

И рече́ Аха́зъ: не и́мамъ проси́ти, ниже́ искушу́ Го́спода.

And Achaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the Lord.

И рече́ [Иса́іа]: слы́шите у́бо, до́ме даві́довъ: єда́ ма́ло ва́мъ є́сть тру́дъ дая́ти человѣ́комъ, и ка́ко даєте́ Го́сподеви тру́дъ?

And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; is it a little thing for you to contend with men? and how do ye contend against the Lord?

Сего́ ра́ди да́стъ Госпо́дь са́мъ ва́мъ зна́меніє: се́, Дѣ́ва во чре́вѣ зачне́тъ и роди́тъ Сы́на, и нарече́ши и́мя єму́ Ємману́илъ:

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Emmanuel.

ма́сло и ме́дъ снѣ́сть, пре́жде не́же разумѣ́ти єму́ изво́лити зла́я, или́ избра́ти благо́є:

Butter and honey shall he eat, before he knows either to prefer evil, or choose the good.

зане́ пре́жде не́же разумѣ́ти отроча́ти благо́є или́ зло́є, отри́нетъ лука́воє, є́же избра́ти благо́є, и оста́вится земля́, єя́же ты́ бои́шися, от лица́ дву́хъ царе́й.

For before the child shall know good or evil, he refuses evil, to choose the good; and the land shall be forsaken which thou art afraid of because of the two kings.

Но наведе́тъ Госпо́дь на тя́ и на лю́ди твоя́ и на до́мъ отца́ твоєго́ дни́, и́же єще́ не пришли́, от дне́ въ о́ньже отъя́ Єфре́ма от Іу́ды, царя́ Ассирі́йска.

But God shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon the house of thy father, days which have never come, from the day that Ephraim took away from Juda the king of the Assyrians.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, позви́ждетъ Госпо́дь му́хамъ, я́же владѣ́ютъ ча́стію рѣки́ Єги́петскія, и пчелѣ́, я́же є́сть во странѣ́ Ассирі́йстѣй:

And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall hiss for the flies, which insect shall rule over a part of the river of Egypt, and for the bee which is in the land of the Assyrians.

и пріи́дутъ вси́ и почі́ютъ въ де́брехъ страны́ и въ пеще́рахъ ка́менныхъ, и во верте́пѣхъ и во вся́цѣй разсѣ́линѣ и во вся́цѣмъ дре́вѣ.

And they all shall enter into the clefts of the land, and into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves, and into every ravine.

Въ де́нь о́ный обрі́єтъ Госпо́дь бри́твою ная́тою объ ону́ страну́ рѣки́ царя́ Ассирі́йска, главу́ и власы́ но́гъ, и браду́ отъи́метъ.

In that day the Lord shall shave with the hired razor of the king of Assyria beyond the river the head, and the hairs of the feet, and will remove the beard.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, корми́ти бу́детъ человѣ́къ ю́ницу от воло́въ и двѣ́ о́вцѣ:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall rear a heifer, and two sheep.

и бу́детъ от мно́жества творе́нія мле́чнаго, ма́сло и ме́дъ снѣ́сть вся́къ оста́выйся на земли́.

And it shall come to pass from their drinking an abundance of milk, that every one that is left on the land shall eat butter and honey.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, вся́ко мѣ́сто, идѣ́же а́ще бу́детъ ты́сяща ло́зъ віногра́да, по ты́сящи Сі́кль, въ ляди́ну бу́детъ и въ те́рніє:

And it shall come to pass in that day, for every place where there shall be a thousand vines at a thousand shekels, they shall become barren land and thorns.

со стрѣло́ю и лу́комъ вни́дутъ та́мо, я́ко ляди́ною и те́рніємъ бу́детъ вся́ земля́:

Men shall enter thither with arrow and bow; for all the land shall be barren ground and thorns.

и вся́ка гора́ оре́мая возоре́тся, не на́йдетъ та́мо стра́хъ: бу́детъ от ляди́ны и от те́рнія па́ству овца́мъ и въ попра́ніє волу́.

And every mountain shall be certainly ploughed: there shall no fear come thither: for there shall be from among the barren ground and thorns that whereon cattle shall feed and oxen shall tread.

И рече́ Госпо́дь ко мнѣ́: пріими́ себѣ́ сви́токъ но́въ вели́къ и напиши́ въ не́мъ писа́ломъ человѣ́чимъ, є́же ско́ро плѣне́ніє сотвори́ти коры́стей, приспѣ́ бо:

And the Lord said to me, Take to thyself a volume of a great new book, and write in it with a man's pen concerning the making a rapid plunder of spoils; for it is near at hand.

и свидѣ́тели мнѣ́ сотвори́ вѣ́рны человѣ́ки, урі́ю ієре́а и Заха́рію сы́на Варахі́ина.

And make me witnesses of faithful men, Urias, and Zacharias the son of Barachias.

И приступи́хъ ко проро́чицѣ, и во чре́вѣ зача́тъ и роди́ сы́на. И рече́ Госпо́дь мнѣ́: нарцы́ и́мя єму́: ско́ро плѣни́, на́гло расхи́ти,

And I went in to the prophetess; and she conceived, and bore a son. And the Lord said to me, Call his name, Spoil quickly, plunder speedily.

зане́ пре́жде не́же разумѣ́ти отроча́ти назва́ти отца́ или́ ма́терь, пріи́метъ си́лу Дама́скову, и коры́сти самарі́йскія предъ царе́мъ Ассирі́йскимъ.

For before the child shall know how to call his father or his mother, one shall take the power of Damascus and the spoils of Samaria before the king of the Assyrians.

И приложи́ Госпо́дь глаго́лати ко мнѣ́ єще́, глаго́ля:

And the Lord spoke to me yet again, saying,

поне́же не восхотѣ́ша лю́діє сі́и воды́ Сілоа́мли теку́щія ти́сѣ, но восхотѣ́ша имѣ́ти рассо́на и сы́на ромелі́єва царя́ надъ ва́ми,

Because this people chooses not the water of Siloam that goes softly, but wills to have Rassin, and the son of Romelias to be king over you;

сего́ ра́ди се́, возво́дитъ Госпо́дь на вы́ во́ду рѣки́ си́льну и мно́гу, царя́ Ассирі́йска и сла́ву єго́: и взы́детъ на вся́ку де́брь ва́шу, и обы́детъ вся́ку стѣ́ну ва́шу,

therefore, behold, the Lord brings up upon you the water of the river, strong and abundant, even the king of the Assyrians, and his glory: and he shall come up over every valley of yours, and shall walk over every wall of yours:

и отъи́метъ от Іуде́и человѣ́ка, и́же возмо́жетъ главу́ воздви́гнути, или́ могу́щаго что́ соверши́ти: и бу́детъ по́лкъ єго́, во є́же напо́лнити ширину́ страны́ твоєя́, съ на́ми Бо́гъ!

and he shall take away from Juda every man who shall be able to lift up his head, and every one able to accomplish anything; and his camp shall fill the breadth of thy land, O God with us.

Разумѣ́йте, язы́цы, и покаря́йтеся, услы́шите да́же до послѣ́днихъ земли́: могу́щіи, покаря́йтеся: а́ще бо па́ки возмо́жете, па́ки побѣ́ждени бу́дете,

Know, ye Gentiles, and be conquered; hearken ye, even to the extremity of the earth: be conquered, after ye have strengthened yourselves; for even if ye should again strengthen yourselves, ye shall again be conquered.

и и́же а́ще совѣ́тъ совѣща́єте, разори́тъ Госпо́дь, и сло́во, є́же а́ще возглаго́лете, не пребу́детъ въ ва́съ, я́ко съ на́ми Бо́гъ.

And whatsoever counsel ye shall take, the Lord shall bring it to nought; and whatsoever word ye shall speak, it shall not stand among you: for God is with us.

Та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: крѣ́пкою руко́ю не покаря́ются хожде́нію пути́ люді́й си́хъ, глаго́люще:

Thus saith the Lord, With a strong hand they revolt from the course of the way of this people, saying,

да не когда́ реку́тъ: же́стоко: все́ бо, є́же а́ще реку́тъ лю́діє сі́и, же́стоко є́сть: стра́ха же и́хъ не убо́йтеся, ниже́ возмяти́теся.

Let them not say, It is hard, for whatsoever this people says, is hard: but fear not ye their fear, neither be dismayed.

Го́спода си́лъ, того́ освяти́те, и то́й бу́детъ тебѣ́ въ стра́хъ.

Sanctify ye the Lord himself; and he shall be thy fear.

И а́ще бу́деши упова́я на него́, бу́детъ тебѣ́ во освяще́ніє, а не я́коже о ка́мень претыка́нія преткне́шися, ниже́ я́ко о ка́мень паде́нія: до́мове же Іа́ковли въ пру́глѣ, и въ раздо́ліи сѣдя́щіи во Ієрусали́мѣ.

And if thou shalt trust in him, he shall be to thee for a sanctuary; and ye shall not come against him as against a stumbling-stone, neither as against the falling of a rock: but the houses of Jacob are in a snare, and the dwellers in Jerusalem in a pit.

Сего́ ра́ди изнемо́гутъ въ ни́хъ мно́зи, и паду́тъ, и сокруша́тся, и прибли́жатся, и я́ти бу́дутъ человѣ́цы въ тверды́ни су́ще.

Therefore many among them shall be weak, and fall, and be crushed; and they shall draw nigh, and men shall be taken securely.

Тогда́ явле́ни бу́дутъ печатлѣ́ющіи зако́нъ, є́же не учи́тися.

Then shall those who seal themselves that they may not learn the law be made manifest.

И рече́тъ: пожду́ Бо́га отвра́щшаго лице́ своє́ от до́му Іа́ковля и упова́я бу́ду на́нь.

And one shall say, I will wait for God, who has turned away his face from the house of Jacob, and I will trust in him.

Се́, а́зъ и дѣ́ти, я́же ми́ даде́ Бо́гъ: и бу́дутъ зна́менія и чудеса́ въ дому́ Ізра́илевѣ от Го́спода Савао́ѳа, и́же обита́єтъ на горѣ́ Сіо́нъ.

Behold I and the children which God has given me: and they shall be for signs and wonders in the house of Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in mount Sion.

И а́ще реку́тъ къ ва́мъ: изыщи́те чревоволше́бниковъ и от земли́ возглаша́ющихъ, тщесло́вующихъ, и́же от чре́ва глаша́ютъ, не язы́къ ли къ Бо́гу своєму́ взы́щетъ? что́ испыту́ютъ ме́ртвыя о живы́хъ?

And if they should say to you, Seek those who have in them a divining spirit, and them that speak out of the earth, them that speak vain words, who speak out of their belly: shall not a nation diligently seek to their God? why do they seek to the dead concerning the living?

Зако́нъ бо въ по́мощь даде́, да реку́тъ не я́коже сло́во сіє́, за́ньже не лѣ́ть да́ры дая́ти.

For he has given the law for a help, that they should not speak according to this word, concerning which there are no gifts to give for it.

И пріи́детъ на вы́ же́стокъ гла́дъ, и бу́детъ, єгда́ вза́лчете, ско́рбни бу́дете и зло́ рече́те кня́зю и оте́честву:

And famine shall come sorely upon you, and it shall come to pass, that when ye shall be hungry, ye shall be grieved, and ye shall speak ill of the prince and your fathers' ordinances: and they shall look up to heaven above,

и воззря́тъ на не́бо горѣ́, и на зе́млю ни́зу при́зрятъ, и се́, ску́дость тѣ́сна и тма́, ско́рбь и тѣснота́ и тма́, я́коже не ви́дѣти: и не оскудѣ́єтъ въ тѣ́снотѣ сы́й да́же до вре́мене.

and they shall look on the earth below, and behold severe distress, and darkness, affliction, and anguish, and darkness so that one cannot see; and he that is in anguish shall not be distressed only for a time.

Сіє́ пре́жде испі́й, ско́ро твори́, страно́ Завуло́ня и земле́ Нефѳалі́мля, и про́чіи при мо́ри живу́щіи, и объ ону́ страну́ Іорда́на, Галіле́а язы́ковъ.

O people walking in darkness, behold a great light: ye that dwell in the region and shadow of death, a light shall shine upon you.

Лю́діє ходя́щіи во тмѣ́ ви́дѣша свѣ́тъ ве́лій: живу́щіи во странѣ́ и сѣ́ни сме́ртнѣй, свѣ́тъ возсія́єтъ на вы́.

The multitude of the people which thou hast brought down in thy joy, they shall even rejoice before thee as they that rejoice in harvest, and as they that divide the spoil.

Мно́жайшіи лю́діє, я́же изве́лъ єси́, въ весе́ліи твоє́мъ: и возвеселя́тся предъ тобо́ю, я́коже веселя́щіися въ жа́тву, и я́коже веселя́тся дѣля́щіи коры́сти.

Because the yoke that was laid upon them has been taken away, and the rod that was on their neck: for he has broken the rod of the exactors, as in the day of Madiam.

Зане́ отъя́тся яре́мъ лежа́й на ни́хъ, и же́злъ, и́же на вы́и и́хъ: же́злъ бо истязу́ющихъ разсы́па Госпо́дь, я́коже въ де́нь, и́же на Мадіа́ма.

For they shall compensate for every garment that has been acquired by deceit, and all raiment with restitution; and they shall be willing, even if they were burnt with fire.

Я́ко вся́кую оде́жду со́бранну ле́стію и ри́зу съ примире́ніємъ отдаду́тъ, и восхотя́тъ, да бы́ша огне́мъ сожже́ны бы́ли.

For a child is born to us, and a son is given to us, whose government is upon his shoulder: and his name is called the Messenger of great counsel: for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to him.

Я́ко отроча́ роди́ся на́мъ, Сы́нъ, и даде́ся на́мъ, єго́же нача́лство бы́сть на ра́мѣ єго́: и нарица́єтся и́мя єго́: вели́ка совѣ́та а́нгелъ, чу́денъ, совѣ́тникъ, Бо́гъ крѣ́пкій, властели́нъ, кня́зь ми́ра, Оте́цъ бу́дущаго вѣ́ка: приведу́ бо ми́ръ на кня́зи, ми́ръ и здра́віє єму́.

His government shall be great, and of his peace there is no end: it shall be upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to support it with judgment and with righteousness, from henceforth and for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts shall perform this.

И ве́ліє нача́лство єго́, и ми́ра єго́ нѣ́сть предѣ́ла на престо́лѣ Дави́довѣ и на ца́рствѣ єго́, испра́вити є́ и заступи́ти єго́ въ судѣ́ и пра́вдѣ, отны́нѣ и до вѣ́ка: ре́вность Го́спода Савао́ѳа сотвори́тъ сія́.

The Lord has sent death upon Jacob, and it has come upon Israel.

Сме́рть {Євр.: сло́во.} посла́ Госпо́дь на Іа́кова, и пріи́де на Ізра́иля:

And all the people of Ephraim, and they that dwelt in Samaria shall know, who say in their pride and lofty heart,

и уразумѣ́ютъ вси́ лю́діє Єфре́мовы и живу́щіи въ самарі́и, въ досажде́ніи и высо́цѣмъ се́рдцы глаго́люще:

The bricks are fallen down, but come, let us hew stones, and cut down sycamores and cedars, and let us build for ourselves a tower.

плі́нѳы падо́ша, но пріиди́те, изсѣче́мъ ка́меніє и посѣче́мъ черни́чіє и ке́дры, и сози́ждемъ себѣ́ сто́лпъ.

And God shall dash down them that rise up against him on mount Sion, and shall scatter his enemies;

И разруши́тъ Бо́гъ востаю́щыя на го́ру Сіо́ню, и враги́ єго́ разсы́плетъ:

even Syria from the rising of the sun, and the Greeks from the setting of the sun, who devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but still his hand is exalted.

сирі́ю от восто́къ со́лнца и є́ллины от за́пада со́лнца, пояда́ющыя Ізра́иля всѣ́ми усты́. Во всѣ́хъ си́хъ не отврати́ся я́рость єго́, но єще́ рука́ єго́ высока́.

But the people turned not until they were smitten, and they sought not the Lord.

И лю́діє не обрати́шася, до́ндеже я́звени бы́ша, и Го́спода не взыска́ша.

So the Lord took away from Israel the head and tail, great and small, in one day:

И отъя́тъ Госпо́дь от Ізра́иля главу́ и о́шибъ, вели́ка и ма́ла, во єди́нъ де́нь:

the old man, and them that respect persons, this is the head; and the prophet teaching unlawful things, he is the tail.

ста́рца и чудя́щихся ли́цамъ, сіє́ нача́ло: и проро́ка уча́ща беззако́нная, се́й о́шибъ.

And they that pronounce this people blessed shall mislead them; and they mislead them that they may devour them.

И бу́дутъ блажа́щіи люді́й си́хъ льстя́ше, и льстя́тъ, я́ко да поглотя́тъ я́.

Therefore the Lord shall not take pleasure in their young men, neither shall he have pity on their orphans or on their widows: for they are all transgressors and wicked, and every mouth speaks unjustly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is yet exalted.

Сего́ ра́ди о ю́ношахъ и́хъ не возвесели́тся Госпо́дь, и сиро́тъ и́хъ и вдови́цъ и́хъ не поми́луєтъ: я́ко вси́ беззако́нніи и лука́віи, и вся́кая уста́ глаго́лютъ непра́вду. Во всѣ́хъ си́хъ не отврати́ся я́рость єго́, но єще́ рука́ єго́ высока́.

And iniquity shall burn as fire, and shall be devoured by fire as dry grass: and it shall burn in the thickets of the wood, and shall devour all that is round about the hills.

И разгори́тся я́ко о́гнь беззако́ніє, и я́ко тро́скотъ сухі́й пояде́нъ бу́детъ огне́мъ, и разгори́тся въ ча́щахъ дубра́вныхъ и поя́стъ, я́же о́крестъ холмо́въ вся́.

The whole earth is set on fire because of the fierce anger of the Lord, and the people shall be as men burnt by fire: no man shall pity his brother.

За я́рость гнѣ́ва Госпо́дня сгорѣ́ вся́ земля́, и бу́дутъ лю́діє я́ко огне́мъ пожже́ни: человѣ́къ бра́та своєго́ не поми́луєтъ,

But one shall turn aside to the right hand, for he shall be hungry; and shall eat on the left, and a man shall by no means be satisfied with eating the flesh of his own arm.

но уклони́тся на де́сно, я́ко вза́лчетъ, и снѣ́сть от шу́іихъ, и не насы́тится человѣ́къ яды́й пло́ти мы́шцы своєя́:

For Manasses shall eat the flesh of Ephraim, and Ephraim the flesh of Manasses; for they shall besiege Juda together. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is yet exalted.

снѣ́сть бо Манассі́й Єфре́мово, и Єфре́мъ Манассі́ино, я́ко вку́пѣ повою́ютъ Іу́ду. Во всѣ́хъ си́хъ не отврати́ся я́рость [єго́], но єще́ рука́ єго́ высока́.

Го́ре пи́шущымъ лука́вство: пи́шущіи бо лука́вство пи́шутъ,

Woe to them that write wickedness; for when they write they do write wickedness,

укланя́юще су́дъ убо́гихъ, восхища́юще су́дъ ни́щихъ люді́й мои́хъ, я́ко бы́ти и́мъ вдови́цѣ въ расхище́ніє и сиротѣ́ въ разграбле́ніє.

perverting the cause of the poor, violently wresting the judgment of the needy ones of my people, that the widow may be a prey to them, and the orphan a spoil.

И что́ сотворя́тъ въ де́нь посѣще́нія? ско́рбь бо ва́мъ отдале́че пріи́детъ. И къ кому́ прибѣ́гнете, да помо́жетъ ва́мъ? И гдѣ́ оста́вите сла́ву ва́шу,

And what will they do in the day of visitation? for affliction shall come to you from afar: and to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory,

є́же не впа́сти въ плѣне́ніє? И подъ убіє́ными паду́тъ. И во всѣ́хъ си́хъ не отврати́ся гнѣ́въ єго́, но єще́ рука́ єго́ высока́.

that ye may not fall into captivity? For all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is yet exalted.

Го́ре Ассирі́ємъ, же́злъ я́рости моєя́ и гнѣ́въ є́сть въ руку́ и́хъ.

Woe to the Assyrians; the rod of my wrath, and anger are in their hands.

Гнѣ́въ мо́й послю́ на язы́къ беззако́ненъ, и свои́хъ люді́й повелю́ сотвори́ти коры́сти и плѣне́ніє, и попра́ти гра́ды и положи́ти я́ въ пра́хъ.

I will send my wrath against a sinful nation, and I will charge my people to take plunder and spoil, and to trample the cities, and to make them dust.

Се́й же не та́ко помы́сли и душе́ю не та́ко возмнѣ́: но отсту́питъ у́мъ єго́, и є́же потреби́ти язы́ки не ма́лы.

But he meant not thus, neither did he devise thus in his soul: but his mind shall change, and that to destroy nations not a few.

И а́ще реку́тъ єму́: ты́ ли єси́ єди́нъ кня́зь?

And if they should say to him, Thou alone art ruler;

И рече́тъ: не взя́хъ ли страны́, я́же вы́ше Вавило́на и хала́ни, идѣ́же сто́лпъ созда́нъ, и взя́хъ Араві́ю и Дама́скъ и самарі́ю?

then shall he say, Have I not taken the country above Babylon and Chalanes, where the tower was built? and have I not taken Arabia, and Damascus, and Samaria?

Я́коже сія́ взя́хъ, и вся́ княже́нія возму́. Возрыда́йте, изва́янная во Ієрусали́мѣ и въ самарі́и:

As I have taken them, I will also take all the kingdoms: howl, ye idols in Jerusalem, and in Samaria.

я́коже бо сотвори́хъ самарі́и и рукотворе́ннымъ єя́, та́ко сотворю́ и Ієрусали́му и кумі́ромъ єго́.

For as I did to Samaria and her idols, so will I do also to Jerusalem and her idols.

И бу́детъ, єгда́ сконча́єтъ Госпо́дь вся́ творя́ въ горѣ́ Сіо́ни и во Ієрусали́мѣ, наведе́тъ на у́мъ вели́кій, на кня́зя Ассирі́йска и на высоту́ сла́вы о́чію єго́.

And it shall come to pass, when the Lord shall have finished doing all things on mount Sion and Jerusalem, that I will visit upon the proud heart, even upon the ruler of the Assyrians, and upon the boastful haughtiness of his eyes.

Рече́ бо: крѣ́постію руки́ моєя́ сотворю́, и прему́дростію ра́зума [моєго́] отиму́ предѣ́лы язы́ковъ, и си́лу и́хъ плѣню́,

For he said, I will act in strength, and in the wisdom of my understanding I will remove the boundaries of nations, and will spoil their strength.

и сотрясу́ гра́ды населе́ныя, и вселе́нную всю́ объиму́ руко́ю моє́ю я́ко гнѣздо́, и я́ко оста́вленая я́ица возму́: и нѣ́сть, и́же убѣжи́тъ мене́, или́ проти́ву мнѣ́ рече́тъ, и отве́рзетъ уста́ и глуми́тъ.

And I will shake the inhabited cities: and I will take with my hand all the world as a nest: and I will even take them as eggs that have been left; and there is none that shall escape me, or contradict me.

Єда́ просла́вится сѣки́ра безъ сѣку́щаго є́ю? или́ вознесе́тся пила́ безъ влеку́щаго ю́? Та́кожде а́ще кто́ во́зметъ же́злъ, или́ дре́во: и не та́ко.

Shall the axe glorify itself without him that hews with it? or shall the saw lift up itself without him that uses it, as if one should lift a rod or staff? but it shall not be so;

Но по́слетъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ на твою́ че́сть безче́стіє, и на твою́ сла́ву о́гнь горя́ возгори́тся.

but the Lord of hosts shall send dishonour upon thine honour, and burning fire shall be kindled upon thy glory.

И бу́детъ свѣ́тъ Ізра́илевъ во о́гнь, и освяти́тъ єго́ огне́мъ горя́щимъ, и поя́стъ я́ко сѣ́но вещество́.

And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and he shall sanctify him with burning fire, and it shall devour the wood as grass.

Въ то́й де́нь уга́снутъ го́ры и хо́лми и дубра́вы, и поя́стъ от души́ да́же до пло́тей: и бу́детъ бѣжа́й, я́ко бѣжа́й от пла́мене горя́ща:

In that day the mountains shall be consumed, and the hills, and the forests, and fire shall devour both soul and body: and he that flees shall be as one fleeing from burning flame.

и оста́вльшіися от ни́хъ бу́дутъ въ число́, и отроча́ ма́лоє напи́шетъ я́.

And they that are left of them shall be a small number, and a child shall write them.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, не приложи́тся ктому́ оста́нокъ Ізра́илевъ, и спасе́нніи Іа́ковли не бу́дутъ ктому́ упова́юще на оби́дѣвшыя и́хъ, но бу́дутъ упова́юще на Бо́га свята́го Ізра́илева и́стиною.

And it shall come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel shall no more join themselves with, and the saved of Jacob shall no more trust in, them that injured them; but they shall trust in the Holy God of Israel, in truth.

И обрати́тся оста́нокъ Іа́ковль къ Бо́гу крѣ́пкому.

And the remnant of Jacob shall trust on the mighty God.

И а́ще бу́дутъ лю́діє Ізра́илевы я́ко песо́къ морскі́й, оста́нокъ и́хъ спасе́тся:

And though the people of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant of them shall be saved.

сло́во бо соверша́я и сокраща́я пра́вдою, я́ко сло́во сокраще́но сотвори́тъ Госпо́дь во все́й вселе́ннѣй.

He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because the Lord will make a short work in all the world.

Сего́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ: не бо́йтеся, лю́діє мои́, от Ассирі́анъ, живу́щіи въ Сіо́нѣ, я́ко жезло́мъ порази́тъ тя́: я́зву бо наво́дитъ на тя́, є́же ви́дѣти пу́ть Єги́пта.

Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, Be not afraid, my people who dwell in Sion, of the Assyrians, because he shall smite thee with a rod: for I am bringing a stroke upon thee, that thou mayest see the way of Egypt.

Єще́ бо ма́ло, и преста́нетъ гнѣ́въ, я́рость же моя́ на совѣ́тъ и́хъ:

For yet a little while, and the indignation shall cease: but my wrath shall be against their council.

и воздви́гнетъ Бо́гъ си́лъ на ня́ я́зву, я́ко я́зву Мадіа́млю на мѣ́стѣ ско́рби, и я́рость єго́ на пу́ть и́же къ мо́рю, на пу́ть и́же во Єги́петъ:

And God will stir up enemies against them, according to the stroke of Madiam in the place of affliction: and his wrath shall be by the way of the sea, even to the way that leads to Egypt.

и бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, отъи́мется и́го єго́ от ра́мене твоєго́ и стра́хъ єго́ от тебе́, и согніє́тъ и́го от ра́менъ ва́шихъ.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his yoke shall be taken away from thy shoulder, and his fear from thee, and the yoke shall be destroyed from off your shoulders.

Пріи́детъ бо во гра́дъ Агга́й, и пре́йдетъ въ Магеддо́, и въ Махма́сѣ положи́тъ сосу́ды своя́.

For he shall arrive at the city of Angai, and shall pass on to Maggedo, and shall lay up his stores in Machmas.

И мине́тъ де́брь, и пріи́детъ во Агга́й: стра́хъ пріи́метъ раму́ гра́дъ Сау́ловъ,

And he shall pass by the valley, and shall arrive at Angai: fear shall seize upon Rama, the city of Saul.

побѣ́гнетъ дще́рь Галі́мля, услы́шится въ лаісѣ́, услы́шится во Анаѳо́ѳѣ.

И ужасе́ся Мадеми́на и живу́щіи во гіви́мѣ.

Madebena also is amazed, and the inhabitants of Gibbir.

Утѣша́йте дне́сь є́же на пути́ пребы́ти: утѣша́йте руко́ю го́ру дще́рь Сіо́ню, и хо́лми, и́же во Ієрусали́мѣ:

Exhort ye them to-day to remain in the way: exhort ye beckoning with the hand the mountain, the daughter of Sion, even ye hills that are in Jerusalem.

се́, Влады́ка Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ смяте́тъ сла́вныя со крѣ́постію, и высо́ціи укори́зною сокруша́тся, и высо́цыи смиря́тся,

Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will mightily confound the glorious ones; and the haughty in pride shall be crushed, and the lofty shall be brought low:

и паду́тъ высо́цыи мече́мъ, Ліва́нъ же съ высо́кими паде́тся.

and the lofty ones shall fall by the sword, and Libanus shall fall with his lofty ones.

И изы́детъ же́злъ изъ ко́рене Ієссе́ова, и цвѣ́тъ от ко́рене єго́ взы́детъ:

And there shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse, and a blossom shall come up from his root:

и почі́єтъ на не́мъ Ду́хъ Бо́жій, Ду́хъ прему́дрости и ра́зума, Ду́хъ совѣ́та и крѣ́пости, Ду́хъ вѣ́дѣнія и благоче́стія:

and the Spirit of God shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and godliness shall fill him;

испо́лнитъ єго́ Ду́хъ стра́ха Бо́жія: не по сла́вѣ суди́ти и́мать, ниже́ по глаго́ланію обличи́тъ,

the spirit of the fear of God. He shall not judge according to appearance, nor reprove according to report:

но су́дитъ пра́вдою смире́нному су́дъ и обличи́тъ пра́востію смире́нныя земли́, и порази́тъ зе́млю сло́вомъ у́стъ свои́хъ и Ду́хомъ усте́нъ убіє́тъ нечести́ваго:

but he shall judge the cause of the lowly, and shall reprove the lowly of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the word of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he destroy the ungodly one.

и бу́детъ препоя́санъ пра́вдою о чре́слѣхъ свои́хъ и и́стиною обви́тъ по ре́брамъ свои́мъ:

And he shall have his loins girt with righteousness, and his sides clothed with truth.

и пасти́ся бу́дутъ вку́пѣ во́лкъ со а́гнцемъ, и ры́сь почі́єтъ со ко́злищемъ, и теле́цъ и юне́цъ и ле́въ вку́пѣ пасти́ся бу́дутъ, и отроча́ ма́ло поведе́тъ я́:

And the wolf shall feed with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the young calf and bull and lion shall feed together; and a little child shall lead them.

и во́лъ и медвѣ́дь вку́пѣ пасти́ся бу́дутъ, и вку́пѣ дѣ́ти и́хъ бу́дутъ, и ле́въ а́ки во́лъ я́сти бу́детъ пле́вы:

And the ox and bear shall feed together; and their young shall be together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

и отроча́ мла́до на пеще́ры а́спідовъ и на ло́же исча́дій а́спідскихъ ру́ку возложи́тъ:

And an infant shall put his hand on the holes of asps, and on the nest of young asps.

и не сотворя́тъ зла́, ни возмо́гутъ погуби́ти ни кого́же на горѣ́ святѣ́й моє́й: я́ко напо́лнися вся́ земля́ вѣ́дѣнія Госпо́дня, а́ки вода́ мно́га покры́ мо́ре.

And they shall not hurt, nor shall they at all be able to destroy any one on my holy mountain: for the whole world is filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as much water covers the seas.

И бу́детъ въ де́нь о́ный ко́рень Ієссе́овъ, и востая́й владѣ́ти язы́ки, на того́ язы́цы упова́ти бу́дутъ: и бу́детъ поко́й єго́ че́сть.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall arise to rule over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust, and his rest shall be glorious.

И бу́детъ въ де́нь о́ный, приложи́тъ Госпо́дь показа́ти ру́ку свою́, є́же возревнова́ти по оста́нку про́чему люді́й, и́же а́ще оста́нетъ от Ассирі́овъ и от Єги́пта, и Вавило́на и от єѳіо́піи, и от Єламі́товъ и от восто́ковъ со́лнца, и от Араві́и и от острово́въ морски́хъ.

And it shall be in that day, that the Lord shall again shew his hand, to be zealous for the remnant that is left of the people, which shall be left by the Assyrians, and that from Egypt, and from the country of Babylon, and from Ethiopia, and from the Elamites, and from the rising of the sun, and out of Arabia.

И воздви́гнетъ зна́меніє въ язы́ки, и собере́тъ поги́бшыя Ізра́илевы, и расточе́нныя Іу́дины собере́тъ от четы́рехъ кри́лъ земли́.

And he shall lift up a standard for the nations, and he shall gather the lost ones of Israel, and he shall gather the dispersed of Juda from the four corners of the earth.

И отъи́мется ре́вность Єфре́мова, и врази́ Іу́дины поги́бнутъ: Єфре́мъ не возревну́єтъ Іу́дѣ, и Іу́да не оскорби́тъ Єфре́ма.

And the envy of Ephraim shall be taken away, and the enemies of Juda shall perish: Ephraim shall not envy Juda, and Juda shall not afflict Ephraim.

И полетя́тъ въ корабле́хъ иноплеме́нничихъ, мо́ре ку́пно плѣня́тъ, и су́щихъ от восто́къ со́лнца, и Ідуме́ю: и на Моа́ва пе́рвѣє ру́ки возложа́тъ, сы́нове же Аммо́ни пе́рвіи покоря́тся.

And they shall fly in the ships of the Philistines: they shall at the same time spoil the sea, and them that come from the east, and Idumea: and they shall lay their hands on Moab first; but the children of Ammon shall first obey them.

И опустоши́тъ Госпо́дь мо́ре Єги́петскоє и возложи́тъ ру́ку свою́ на рѣку́ ду́хомъ преси́льнымъ: и порази́тъ на се́дмь де́брій, я́коже преходи́ти ю́ во обуве́ніи:

And the Lord shall make desolate the sea of Egypt; and he shall lay his hand on the river with a strong wind, and he shall smite the seven channels, so that men shall pass through it dry-shod.

и бу́детъ проше́ствіє лю́демъ мои́мъ оста́вшымъ во Єги́птѣ, и бу́детъ Ізра́илю, я́коже въ де́нь, єгда́ изы́де от земли́ Єги́петскія.

And there shall be a passage for my people that is left in Egypt: and it shall be to Israel as the day when he came forth out of the land of Egypt.

И рече́ши въ де́нь о́ный: благословлю́ тя́, Го́споди, я́ко разгнѣ́вался єси́ на мя́, и отврати́лъ єси́ я́рость твою́ [от мене́], и поми́ловалъ мя́ єси́.

And in that day thou shalt say, I will bless thee, O Lord; for thou wast angry with me, but thou hast turned aside thy wrath, and hast pitied me.

Се́, Бо́гъ мо́й Спа́съ мо́й, упова́я бу́ду на него́ и не убою́ся: зане́ сла́ва моя́ и похвала́ моя́ Госпо́дь, и бы́сть ми́ во спасе́ніє.

Behold, my God is my Saviour; I will trust in him, and not be afraid: for the Lord is my glory and my praise, and is become my salvation.

И почерпи́те во́ду со весе́ліємъ от исто́чникъ спасе́нія.

Draw ye therefore water with joy out of the wells of salvation.

И рече́ши въ де́нь о́ный: хвали́те Го́спода, воспо́йте и́мя єго́, возвѣсти́те во язы́цѣхъ сла́вная єго́, помина́йте, я́ко вознесе́ся и́мя єго́.

And in that day thou shalt say, Sing to the Lord, call aloud upon his name, proclaim his glorious deeds among the Gentiles; make mention that his name is exalted.

Хвали́те и́мя Госпо́дне, я́ко высо́кая сотвори́: возвѣсти́те сія́ по все́й земли́.

Sing praise to the name of the Lord; for he has done great things: declare this in all the earth.

Весели́теся и ра́дуйтеся, живу́щіи въ Сіо́нѣ, я́ко вознесе́ся святы́й Ізра́илевъ посредѣ́ тебе́.

Exalt and rejoice, ye that dwell in Sion: for the Holy One of Israel is exalted in the midst of her.

Видѣ́ніє на Вавило́на, є́же ви́дѣ Иса́іа сы́нъ Амо́совъ.

The Vision which Esaias son of Amos saw against Babylon.

На горѣ́ по́льнѣй воздви́гните зна́меніє, вознеси́те гла́съ и́мъ, не бо́йтеся, поуща́йте руко́ю, отве́рзите, кня́зи.

Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, open the gates, ye rulers.

А́зъ повелѣва́ю, освяще́нни су́ть: и а́зъ веду́ и́хъ, исполи́ни и́дутъ испо́лнити я́рость мою́ ра́дующеся, вку́пѣ и укаря́юще.

I give command, and I bring them: giants are coming to fulfil my wrath, rejoicing at the same time and insulting.

Гла́съ язы́ковъ мно́гихъ на гора́хъ, подо́бенъ язы́ковъ мно́гихъ, гла́съ царе́й и язы́ковъ собра́вшихся: Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ заповѣ́да язы́ку оружебо́рцу

A voice of many nations on the mountains, even like to that of many nations; a voice of kings and nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts has given command to a war-like nation,

пріити́ от земли́ издале́ча, от кра́я основа́нія небесе́, Госпо́дь и оружебо́рцы єго́, растли́ти всю́ вселе́нную.

to come from a land afar off, from the utmost foundation of heaven; the Lord and his warriors are coming to destroy all the world.

Рыда́йте: бли́зъ бо де́нь Госпо́день, и сокруше́ніє от Бо́га пріи́детъ:

Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is near, and destruction from God shall arrive.

сего́ ра́ди вся́ка рука́ разслабѣ́єтъ, и вся́ка душа́ человѣ́ча убои́тся,

Therefore every hand shall become powerless, and every soul of man shall be dismayed.

и смяту́тся послы́, и болѣ́зни пріи́мутъ я́ я́ко жены́ ражда́ющія: и поскорбя́тъ дру́гъ ко дру́гу, и ужа́снутся, и лице́ своє́ я́ко пла́мень измѣня́тъ.

The elders shall be troubled, and pangs shall seize them, as of a woman in travail: and they shall mourn one to another, and shall be amazed, and shall change their countenance as a flame.

Се́ бо, де́нь Госпо́день гряде́тъ неисцѣ́льный, я́рости и гнѣ́ва, положи́ти вселе́нную [всю́] пу́сту и грѣ́шники погуби́ти от нея́.

For behold! the day of the Lord is coming which cannot be escaped, a day of wrath and anger, to make the world desolate, and to destroy sinners out of it.

Звѣ́зды бо небе́сныя и орі́онъ и все́ украше́ніє небе́сноє свѣ́та своєго́ не дадя́тъ, и помрачи́тся со́лнце возсіява́ющеє, и луна́ не да́стъ свѣ́та своєго́.

For the stars of heaven, and Orion, and all the host of heaven, shall not give their light; and it shall be dark at sunrise, and the moon shall not give her light.

И заповѣ́мъ все́й вселе́ннѣй зла́я и нечести́вымъ грѣхи́ и́хъ, и погублю́ укори́зну беззако́нныхъ и укори́зну го́рдыхъ смирю́:

And I will command evils for the whole world, and will visit their sins on the ungodly: and I will destroy the pride of transgressors, and will bring low the pride of the haughty.

и бу́дутъ оста́вшіи честні́и па́че, не́жели зла́то нежже́ноє, и человѣ́къ че́стенъ бу́детъ па́че, не́жели ка́мень, и́же от суфі́ра.

And they that are left shall be more precious than gold tried in the fire; and a man shall be more precious than the stone that is in Suphir.

Разъяри́тся бо не́бо, и земля́ потрясе́тся от основа́ній свои́хъ, за я́рость гнѣ́ва Го́спода Савао́ѳа въ де́нь, въ о́ньже пріи́детъ я́рость єго́.

For the heaven shall be enraged, and the earth shall be shaken from her foundation, because of the fierce anger of the Lord of hosts, in the day in which his wrath shall come on.

И бу́дутъ оста́вшіи я́ко се́рна бѣжа́щая и я́ко овца́ заблуди́вшая, и не бу́детъ собира́яй, я́ко человѣ́ку въ лю́ди своя́ возврати́тися, и человѣ́къ во страну́ свою́ побѣ́гнетъ.

And they that are left shall be as a fleeing fawn, and as a stray sheep, and there shall be none to gather them: so that a man shall turn back to his people, and a man shall flee to his own land.

И́же бо а́ще плѣни́тся, порази́тся, и и́же со́брани су́ть, мече́мъ паду́тъ.

For whosoever shall be taken shall be overcome; and they that are gathered together shall fall by the sword.

И ча́да и́хъ предъ ни́ми разбію́тъ, и до́мы и́хъ плѣня́тъ, и жены́ и́хъ по́ймутъ.

And they shall dash their children before their eyes; and they shall spoil their houses, and shall take their wives.

Се́, а́зъ возбужда́ю на вы́ ми́довъ, и́же сребра́ не вмѣня́ютъ, ниже́ зла́та тре́буютъ:

Behold, I will stir up against you the Medes, who do not regard silver, neither have they need of gold.

стрѣля́нія ю́ношеская сокруша́тъ, и ча́дъ ва́шихъ не поми́луютъ, ниже́ пощадя́тъ ча́дъ твои́хъ о́чи и́хъ.

They shall break the bows of the young men; and they shall have no mercy on your children; nor shall their eyes spare thy children.

И бу́детъ Вавило́нъ, и́же нарица́єтся сла́вный от царя́ Халде́йска, я́коже разсы́па Бо́гъ Содо́му и Гомо́рру,

And Babylon, which is called glorious by the king of the Chaldeans, shall be as when God overthrew Sodoma and Gomorrha.

не насели́тся въ вѣ́чноє вре́мя, и не вни́дутъ въ о́нь чрезъ мно́гія ро́ды, ниже́ про́йдутъ єго́ Ара́вляне, ниже́ пастуси́ почі́ютъ въ не́мъ.

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall any enter into it for many generations: neither shall the Arabians pass through it; nor shall shepherds at all rest in it.

И почі́ютъ та́мо звѣ́ріє, и напо́лнятся до́мове шу́ма, и почі́ютъ ту́ Сі́рини, и бѣ́си та́мо воспля́шутъ,

But wild beasts shall rest there; and the houses shall be filled with howling; and monsters shall rest there, and devils shall dance there,

и онокента́вры та́мо вселя́тся, и вогнѣздя́тся єже́ве въ домѣ́хъ и́хъ.

and satyrs shall dwell there; and hedgehogs shall make their nests in their houses. It will come soon, and will not tarry.

Ско́ро и́детъ и не уме́длитъ: и поми́луєтъ Госпо́дь Іа́кова и избере́тъ па́ки Ізра́иля, и почі́ютъ на земли́ своє́й, и пришле́цъ приложи́тся къ ни́мъ и приложи́тся къ до́му Іа́ковлю,

And the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and they shall rest on their land: and the stranger shall be added to them, yea, shall be added to the house of Jacob.

и по́ймутъ и́хъ язы́цы и введу́тъ на мѣ́сто и́хъ, и наслѣ́дятъ и умно́жатся на земли́ Бо́жіи въ рабы́ и рабы́ни: и бу́дутъ плѣне́ни плѣни́вшіи я́, и облада́ни бу́дутъ облада́вшіи и́ми.

And the Gentiles shall take them, and bring them into their place: and they shall inherit them, and they shall be multiplied upon the land for servants and handmaidens: and they that took them captives shall become captives to them; and they that had lordship over them shall be under their rule.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, упоко́итъ тя́ Госпо́дь от болѣ́зни и я́рости твоєя́ и от рабо́ты жесто́кія, є́юже рабо́талъ єси́ и́мъ.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow and vexation, and from thy hard servitude wherein thou didst serve them.

И пріи́меши пла́чь се́й {Євр.: при́тчу сію́.} на царя́ Вавило́нска и рече́ши въ то́й де́нь: ка́ко преста́ истязу́яй и преста́ понужда́яй?

And thou shalt take up this lamentation against the king of Babylon, How has the extortioner ceased, and the taskmaster ceased!

Сокруши́ Бо́гъ яре́мъ грѣ́шниковъ, яре́мъ князе́й,

The Lord has broken the yoke of sinners, the yoke of princes.

порази́въ язы́къ я́ростію, я́звою неисцѣ́льною, поража́яй язы́къ я́звою я́рости, є́юже не пощадѣ́, почи́ упова́ющи.

Having smitten a nation in wrath, with an incurable plague, smiting a nation with a wrathful plague, which spared them not, he rested in quiet.

Вся́ земля́ вопіє́тъ со весе́ліємъ,

All the earth cries aloud with joy:

и древа́ Ліва́нова возвесели́шася о тебѣ́ и ке́дръ Ліва́нскій: оне́лѣже ты́ усну́лъ єси́, не взы́де посѣка́яй на́съ.

the trees also of Libanus rejoice against thee, and the cedar of Libanus, saying, From the time that thou hast been laid low, no one has come up to cut us down.

А́дъ до́лѣ огорчи́ся, срѣ́тъ тя́: воста́ша съ тобо́ю вси́ исполи́ни облада́вшіи земле́ю, подвиза́вшіи от престо́ловъ свои́хъ всѣ́хъ царе́й язы́ческихъ.

Hell from beneath is provoked to meet thee: all the great ones that have ruled over the earth have risen up together against thee, they that have raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

Вси́ отвѣща́ютъ и реку́тъ тебѣ́: и ты́ плѣне́нъ єси́, я́коже и мы́: и въ на́съ вмѣне́нъ єси́.

All shall answer and say to thee, Thou also hast been taken, even as we; and thou art numbered amongst us.

Сни́де сла́ва твоя́ во а́дъ, мно́гоє весе́ліє твоє́: подъ тобо́ю посте́лютъ гни́лость, и покро́въ тво́й че́рвь.

Thy glory has come down to Hades, and thy great mirth: under thee they shall spread corruption, and the worm shall be thy covering.

Ка́ко спаде́ съ небесе́ денни́ца восходя́щая зау́тра? сокруши́ся на земли́ посыла́яй ко всѣ́мъ язы́комъ.

How has Lucifer, that rose in the morning, fallen from heaven! He that sent orders to all the nations is crushed to the earth.

Ты́ же ре́клъ єси́ во умѣ́ твоє́мъ: на не́бо взы́ду, вы́ше звѣ́здъ небе́сныхъ поста́влю престо́лъ мо́й, ся́ду на горѣ́ высо́цѣ, на гора́хъ высо́кихъ, я́же къ сѣ́веру:

But thou saidst in thine heart, I will go up to heaven, I will set my throne above the stars of heaven: I will sit on a lofty mount, on the lofty mountains toward the north:

взы́ду вы́ше о́блакъ, бу́ду подо́бенъ вы́шнему.

I will go up above the clouds; I will be like the Most High.

Ны́нѣ же во а́дъ сни́деши и во основа́нія земли́.

But now thou shalt go down to hell, even to the foundations of the earth.

Ви́дѣвшіи тя́ удивя́тся о тебѣ́ и реку́тъ: се́й человѣ́къ раздража́яй зе́млю, потряса́яй цари́,

They that see thee shall wonder at thee, and say, This is the man that troubled the earth, that made kings to shake;

положи́вый вселе́нную всю́ пу́сту и гра́ды єя́ разсы́па, плѣне́ныхъ не разрѣши́.

that made the whole world desolate, and destroyed its cities; he loosed not those who were in captivity.

Вси́ ца́ріє язы́ковъ успо́ша въ че́сти, кі́йждо въ дому́ своє́мъ.

All the kings of the nations lie in honour, every man in his house.

Ты́ же пове́рженъ бу́деши въ гора́хъ, я́ко мертве́цъ ме́рзкій со мно́гими мертвецы́ изсѣ́чеными мече́мъ, сходя́щими во а́дъ.

But thou shalt be cast forth on the mountains, as a loathed carcase, with many dead who have been pierced with swords, going down to the grave.

Я́коже ри́за въ кро́ви намоче́на не бу́детъ чиста́, та́кожде и ты́ не бу́деши чи́стъ, зане́ зе́млю мою́ погуби́лъ єси́ и лю́ди моя́ изби́лъ єси́: не пребу́деши въ вѣ́чноє вре́мя, сѣ́мя зло́є.

As a garment defiled with blood shall not be pure, so neither shalt thou be pure; because thou hast destroyed my land, and hast slain my people: thou shalt not endure for ever,—thou an evil seed.

Угото́ви ча́да твоя́ на убіє́ніє грѣха́ми отца́ твоєго́, да воста́нутъ и наслѣ́дятъ зе́млю и напо́лнятъ зе́млю ра́тьми.

Prepare thy children to be slain for the sins of their father; that they arise not, and inherit the earth, nor fill the earth with wars.

И воста́ну на ня́, глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ, и погублю́ и́мя и́хъ, и оста́нокъ, и сѣ́мя: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь.

And I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will destroy their name, and remnant, and seed: thus saith the Lord.

И положу́ Вавило́на пу́ста, я́ко вогнѣзди́тися єже́мъ, и бу́детъ ни во что́же: и положу́ и́ бре́нія про́пасть въ па́губу.

And I will make the region of Babylon desert, so that hedgehogs shall dwell there, and it shall come to nothing: and I will make it a pit of clay for destruction.

Сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ: я́коже глаго́лахъ, та́ко бу́детъ, и я́коже совѣща́хъ, та́ко пребу́детъ,

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, As I have said, so it shall be: and as I have purposed, so the matter shall remain:

є́же погуби́ти Ассирі́анъ на земли́ моє́й и на гора́хъ мои́хъ: и бу́дутъ въ попра́ніє, и отъи́мется от ни́хъ яре́мъ и́хъ, и сла́ва {Євр.: бре́мя.} и́хъ от ра́менъ и́хъ отъи́мется.

even to destroy the Assyrians upon my land, and upon my mountains: and they shall be for trampling; and their yoke shall be taken away from them, and their glory shall be taken away from their shoulders.

Се́й совѣ́тъ, єго́же совѣща́ Госпо́дь на всю́ вселе́нную, и сія́ рука́ на вся́ язы́ки вселе́нныя:

This is the purpose which the Lord has purposed upon the whole earth: and this the hand that is uplifted against all the nations.

я́же бо Бо́гъ святы́й совѣща́, кто́ разори́тъ? и ру́ку єго́ высо́кую кто́ отврати́тъ?

For what the Holy God has purposed, who shall frustrate? and who shall turn back his uplifted hand?

Въ лѣ́то, въ не́же у́мре Аха́зъ ца́рь, бы́сть глаго́лъ се́й:

In the year in which king Achaz died this word came.

не ра́дуйтеся, вси́ иноплеме́нницы, сокруши́ся бо яре́мъ бію́щаго вы́: от сѣ́мене бо зміи́на изы́дутъ исча́дія а́спідовъ, и исча́дія и́хъ изы́дутъ зміи́ паря́щіи:

Rejoice not, all ye Philistines, because the yoke of him that smote you is broken: for out of the seed of the serpent shall come forth the young of asps, and their young shall come forth flying serpents.

и упасу́тся убо́зіи и́мъ, ни́щіи же человѣ́цы въ ми́рѣ почі́ютъ: и потреби́тъ гла́домъ сѣ́мя твоє́, и оста́нокъ тво́й избіє́тъ.

And the poor shall be fed by him, and poor men shall rest in peace: but he shall destroy thy seed with hunger, and shall destroy thy remnant.

Воспла́читеся, врата́ градо́въ, да возопію́тъ гра́ды смяте́нніи, иноплеме́нницы вси́, зане́ ды́мъ от сѣ́вера и́детъ, и нѣ́сть, и́же пребу́детъ.

Howl, ye gates of cities; let the cities be troubled and cry, even all the Philistines: for smoke is coming from the north, and there is no possibility of living.

И что́ отвѣща́ютъ ца́ріє язы́ковъ? я́ко Госпо́дь основа́ Сіо́на, и тѣ́мъ спасу́тся смире́нніи люді́й єго́. И что́ отвѣща́ютъ ца́ріє язы́ковъ? я́ко Госпо́дь основа́ Сіо́на, и тѣ́мъ спасу́тся смире́нніи люді́й єго́. Сло́во на Моави́тскую зе́млю.

And what shall the kings of the nations answer? That the Lord has founded Sion, and by him the poor of the people shall be saved.

Но́щію поги́бнетъ Моаві́тска земля́, но́щію бо поги́бнетъ стѣна́ Моаві́тская.

The Word against the Land of Moab. By night the land of Moab shall be destroyed; for by night the wall of the land of Moab shall be destroyed.

Пла́читеся о себѣ́, поги́бнетъ бо и диво́нъ, идѣ́же тре́бище ва́ше: та́мо взы́дете пла́катися надъ Нава́вомъ Моаві́тскимъ. Пла́читеся, на вся́цѣй главѣ́ плѣ́шь, вся́ мы́шцы обсѣ́чены,

Grieve for yourselves; for even Debon, where your altar is, shall be destroyed: thither shall ye go up to weep, over Nabau of the land of Moab: howl ye: baldness shall be on every head, and all arms shall be wounded.

на сто́гнахъ єго́ препоя́шитеся во вре́тища, и воспла́читеся на хра́минахъ єго́ и на у́лицахъ єго́ и на сто́гнахъ єго́, вси́ возрыда́йте съ пла́чемъ.

Gird yourselves with sackcloth in her streets: and lament upon her roofs, and in her streets, and in her ways; howl all of you with weeping.

Я́ко возопи́ єсево́нъ и Єлеала́, да́же до Іассы́ услы́шася гла́съ и́хъ: сего́ ра́ди чре́сла Моаві́тіды вопію́тъ, душа́ єя́ увѣ́сть.

For Esebon and Eleale have cried: their voice was heard to Jassa: therefore the loins of the region of Moab cry aloud; her soul shall know.

Се́рдце Моаві́тіды вопіє́тъ въ не́й да́же до Сиго́ра: ю́ница бо є́сть трилѣ́тна. Въ возше́ствіи же луі́ѳа къ тебѣ́ пла́чущеся взы́дутъ путе́мъ Ароніи́млимъ: вопіє́тъ сотре́ніє и тру́съ.

The heart of the region of Moab cries within her to Segor; for it is as a heifer of three years old: and on the ascent of Luith they shall go up to thee weeping by the way of Aroniim: she cries, Destruction, and trembling.

Вода́ немрі́мля пуста́ бу́детъ, и трава́ єя́ оскудѣ́єтъ: травы́ бо зеле́ны не бу́детъ.

The water of Nemerim shall be desolate, and the grass thereof shall fail: for there shall be no green grass.

Єда́ и си́це спасе́тся? наведу́ бо на де́брь Ара́влянъ, и во́змутъ ю́:

Shall Moab even thus be delivered? for I will bring the Arabians upon the valley, and they shall take it.

пре́йде бо во́пль предѣ́лъ земли́ Моаві́тскія до агаллі́ма, и пла́чь єя́ да́же до кла́дязя Єлі́мля.

For the cry has reached the border of the region of Moab, even of Agalim; and her howling has gone as far as the well of Ælim.

Вода́ бо дімо́ня напо́лнится кро́ве: наведу́ бо на дімо́на Ара́вляны, и возму́ сѣ́мя Моа́вле и Аріи́лево и оста́нокъ Адами́нь.

And the water of Dimon shall be filled with blood: for I will bring Arabians upon Dimon, and I will take away the seed of Moab, and Ariel, and the remnant of Adama.

Послю́ а́ки га́ды на зе́млю: єда́ ка́мень пу́стъ є́сть гора́ дще́ре Сіо́ни {посли́те а́гнцы владу́щему земле́ю от ка́мене пусты́ни къ горѣ́ дще́ре Сіо́ни}?

I will send as it were reptiles on the land: is not the mount of the daughter of Sion a desolate rock?

Бу́деши бо а́ки пти́цы паря́щія птене́цъ отъя́тый, дщи́ Моа́вля, пото́мъ же Арно́нъ {Євр.: въ прохожде́ніи Арно́на.} мно́жайше совѣщава́й.

For thou shalt be as a young bird taken away from a bird that has flown: even thou shalt be so, daughter of Moab: and then do thou, O Arnon,

Сотвори́те покро́въ пла́ча єя́ при́сно: въ полу́деннѣй тмѣ́ бѣгу́тъ, ужасну́шася: да не отведе́шися,

take farther counsel, and continually make thou a shelter from grief: they flee in darkness at mid-day; they are amazed; be not thou led captive.

обита́ти бу́дутъ въ тебѣ́ бѣглецы́ Моа́вли: бу́дутъ въ покрове́ніє ва́мъ от лица́ гоня́щаго, я́ко отъя́ся по́мощь твоя́, и кня́зь поги́бе попира́яй от земли́.

The fugitives of Moab shall sojourn with thee; they shall be to you a shelter from the face of the pursuer: for thine alliance has been taken away, and the oppressing ruler has perished from off the earth.

И испра́вится съ ми́лостію престо́лъ, и ся́детъ на не́мъ со и́стиною во ски́ніи даві́довѣ, судя́ и взыска́я су́дъ и ускоря́я пра́вду.

And a throne shall be established with mercy; and one shall sit upon it with truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and earnestly seeking judgments, and hasting righteousness.

Слы́шахомъ укори́зну Моа́влю, укори́тель [бы́сть] зѣло́, горды́ню отъя́хъ: не та́ко волхвова́ніє твоє́, не та́ко.

We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud. I have cut off his pride: thy prophecy shall not be thus, no not thus.

Воспла́чется Моа́въ, въ Моаві́тідѣ бо вси́ воспла́чутся: живу́щымъ же въ се́ѳѣ помышле́нія, и не усрами́шися.

Moab shall howl; for all shall howl in the land of Moab: but thou shalt care for them that dwell in Seth, and thou shalt not be ashamed.

Поля́ єсево́ня возрыда́ютъ, віногра́дъ Севама́нь: пожира́ющіи язы́ковъ, попери́те віногра́ды єго́, да́же до Іази́ра: не совокупи́теся, обходи́те пусты́ню, по́сланніи оста́шася, проидо́ша бо мо́ре.

The plains of Esebon shall mourn, the vine of Sebama: swallowing up the nations, trample ye her vines, even to Jazer: ye shall not come together; wander ye in the desert: they that were sent are deserted, for they have gone over to the sea.

Сего́ ра́ди воспла́чуся я́ко пла́чемъ Іази́ровымъ о віногра́дѣ Севама́ни: древа́ твоя́ посѣче́ єсево́нъ и Єліала́, я́ко на жа́тву твою́ и на объима́ніє віна́ поперу́, и вся́ паду́тся.

Therefore will I weep as with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sebama; Esebon and Eleale have cast down thy trees; for I will trample on thy harvest and on thy vintages, and all thy plants shall fall.

И отъи́мется ра́дость и весе́ліє от віногра́довъ, и въ віногра́дѣхъ твои́хъ не возра́дуются, и не изгнету́тъ віна́ въ точи́лѣхъ, преста́ло бо є́сть:

And gladness and rejoicing shall be taken away from the vineyards; and they shall not rejoice at all in thy vineyards; and they shall not at all tread wine into the vats; for the vintage has ceased.

сего́ ра́ди чре́во моє́ на Моа́ва а́ки гу́сли возгласи́тъ, и вну́тренняя моя́ а́ки стѣ́ну обнови́лъ єси́.

Therefore my belly shall sound as a harp for Moab, and thou hast repaired my inward parts as a wall.

И бу́детъ въ посрамле́ніє тебѣ́, я́ко утруди́ся Моа́въ о тре́бищихъ, и вни́детъ въ рукотворе́нная своя́, да помо́лится, и не возмо́гутъ изба́вити єго́.

And it shall be to thy shame, (for Moab is wearied at the altars,) that he shall go in to the idols thereof to pray, but they shall not be at all able to deliver him.

Сіє́ сло́во є́же глаго́ла Госпо́дь на Моа́ва, єгда́ возглаго́ла.

This is the word which the Lord spoke against Moab, when he spoke.

И ны́нѣ глаго́лю: въ тріє́хъ лѣ́тѣхъ лѣ́тъ нає́мника обезче́стится сла́ва Моа́вля во все́мъ бога́тствѣ мно́зѣ, и оста́вится ума́ленъ и нече́стенъ. И ны́нѣ глаго́лю: въ тріє́хъ лѣ́тѣхъ лѣ́тъ нає́мника обезче́стится сла́ва Моа́вля во все́мъ бога́тствѣ мно́зѣ, и оста́вится ума́ленъ и нече́стенъ. Сло́во, є́же на Дама́скъ.

And now I say, In three years, of the years of an hireling, the glory of Moab shall be dishonoured with all his great wealth; and he shall be left few in number, and not honoured.

Се́, Дама́скъ во́змется от градо́въ бу́детъ въ паде́ніє.

The Word against Damascus. Behold, Damascus shall be taken away from among cities, and shall become a ruin;

Оста́вленъ въ вѣ́къ, въ ло́же стада́мъ и въ поко́й, и не бу́детъ отгоня́яй.

abandoned for ever, to be a fold and resting-place for flocks, and there shall be none to go after them.

И ксему́ не бу́детъ укрѣпле́нъ, є́же вбѣ́гнути та́мо Єфре́му: и ксему́ не бу́детъ ца́рство въ дама́сцѣ, и оста́нокъ Си́рянъ поги́бнетъ: нѣ́си бо ты́ лу́чшій от сыно́въ Ізра́илевыхъ и сла́вы и́хъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ.

And she shall no longer be a strong place for Ephraim to flee to, and there shall no longer be a kingdom in Damascus, or a remnant of Syrians; for thou art no better than the children of Israel, even than their glory; thus saith the Lord of hosts.

Бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь помраче́ніє сла́вы Іа́ковли, и ту́чная сла́вы єго́ потрясу́тся.

There shall be in that day a failure of the glory of Jacob, and the riches of his glory shall be shaken.

И бу́детъ, я́коже а́ще кто́ собира́єтъ жа́тву стоя́щую, и сѣ́мя кла́совъ пожина́єтъ: и бу́детъ, я́коже а́ще кто́ собира́єтъ кла́сы въ де́бри тве́рдѣ.

And it shall be as if one should gather standing corn, and reap the grain of the ears; and it shall be as if one should gather ears in a rich valley;

И оста́нется въ не́й сте́бліє, или́ а́ки зе́рна ма́слична двѣ́ или́ три́ на версѣ́ высо́цѣ, или́ четы́ре или́ пя́ть на вѣ́твіи єя́ оста́нутъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ Ізра́илевъ.

and as if there should be left stubble therein, or as it were the berries of an olive tree, two or three on the topmost bough, or as if four or five should be left on their branches; thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel.

Въ то́й де́нь упова́я бу́детъ человѣ́къ на сотво́ршаго и́, и о́чи єго́ ко свято́му Ізра́илеву воззря́тъ,

In that day a man shall trust in him that made him, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.

и не бу́дутъ упова́юще на тре́бища, ниже́ на дѣла́ ру́къ свои́хъ, я́же сотвори́ша пе́рсты и́хъ, и не бу́дутъ смотри́ти на дубра́вы, ниже́ на ме́рзости и́хъ.

And they shall not at all trust in their altars, nor in the works of their hands, which their fingers made; and they shall not look to the trees, nor to their abominations.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́дутъ гра́ди твои́ оста́влени, я́коже оста́виша Аморре́є и Єве́є от лица́ сыно́въ Ізра́илевыхъ: и бу́дутъ пу́сти,

In that day thy cities shall be deserted, as the Amorites and the Evæans deserted theirs, because of the children of Israel; and they shall be desolate.

зане́ оста́вилъ єси́ Бо́га Спа́са твоєго́ и Го́спода помо́щника твоєго́ не помяну́лъ єси́: сего́ ра́ди насади́ши са́дъ невѣ́ренъ и сѣ́мя невѣ́рно.

Because thou hast forsaken God thy Saviour, and hast not been mindful of the Lord thy helper; therefore shalt thou plant a false plant, and a false seed.

Въ о́ньже бо де́нь а́ще насади́ши, прельсти́шися: а є́же а́ще зау́тра посѣ́єши, то́ процвѣте́тъ на жа́тву, во о́ньже де́нь наслѣ́диши, и а́ки оте́цъ человѣ́чь наслѣ́діє да́си сыно́мъ твои́мъ.

In the day wherein thou shalt plant thou shalt be deceived; but if thou sow in the morning, the seed shall spring up for a crop in the day wherein thou shalt obtain an inheritance, and as a man's father, thou shalt obtain an inheritance for thy sons.

О, лю́тѣ мно́жеству язы́ковъ мно́гихъ! а́ки мо́ре волну́ющеєся, та́ко смяте́теся, и хребе́тъ язы́ковъ мно́гихъ я́ко вода́ возшуми́тъ:

Woe to the multitude of many nations, as the swelling sea, so shall ye be confounded; and the force of many nations shall sound like water;

а́ки вода́ мно́га язы́цы мно́зи, а́ки [шу́мъ] воды́ мно́гія ну́ждею носи́мыя: и отве́ржетъ єго́ и дале́че пожене́тъ єго́, а́ки пра́хъ пле́вный вѣ́ющихъ проти́ву вѣ́тра, и я́ко пра́хъ коле́сный бу́ря вознося́щая.

many nations like much water, as when much water rushes violently: and they shall drive him away, and pursue him afar, as the dust of chaff when men winnow before the wind, and as a storm whirling the dust of the wheel.

Къ ве́черу, и бу́детъ пла́чь: пре́жде зау́трія, и не бу́детъ: сія́ ча́сть плѣни́вшихъ ны́, и жре́бій наслѣ́дившихъ на́съ.

Toward evening, and there shall be grief; before the morning, and he shall not be. This is the portion of them that spoiled you, and the inheritance to them that robbed you of your inheritance.

Го́ре корабе́лнымъ кри́ламъ земли́, я́же объ ону́ страну́ рѣ́къ єѳіо́пскихъ.

Woe to you, ye wings of the land of ships, beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.

Посыла́яй по мо́рю послы́ въ зало́гъ и посла́нія кни́жная верху́ воды́: по́йдутъ бо вѣ́стницы ле́гцы ко язы́ку высо́ку и къ лю́демъ стра́ннымъ и стропти́вымъ. Кто́ да́лѣє и́хъ? язы́къ безнаде́женъ и попра́нъ.

He sends messengers by the sea, and paper letters on the water: for swift messengers shall go to a lofty nation, and to a strange and harsh people. Who is beyond it? a nation not looked for, and trodden down.

Ны́нѣ рѣ́ки земны́я вся́ а́ки страна́ населе́на насели́тся, страна́ и́хъ а́ки зна́меніє от горы́ воздви́гнется, а́ки гла́съ трубы́ услы́шанъ бу́детъ.

Now all the rivers of the land shall be inhabited as an inhabited country; their land shall be as when a signal is raised from a mountain; it shall be audible as the sound of a trumpet.

Я́ко та́ко ми́ рече́ Госпо́дь: утвержде́ніє бу́детъ въ моє́мъ гра́дѣ, а́ки свѣ́тъ зно́я полу́деннаго и а́ки о́блакъ ро́сный въ де́нь жа́твы бу́детъ.

For thus said the Lord to me, There shall be security in my city, as the light of noonday heat, and it shall be as a cloud of dew in the day of harvest.

Пре́жде жа́твы, єгда́ соверши́тся цвѣ́тъ, и гре́знъ произы́детъ по цвѣ́тѣ недозрѣ́лъ: и отъи́метъ гро́здіє ма́лоє серпа́ми и ло́зіє отъи́метъ и посѣче́тъ,

Before the reaping time, when the flower has been completely formed, and the unripe grape has put forth its flower and blossomed, then shall he take away the little clusters with pruning-hooks, and shall take away the small branches, and cut them off;

и оста́витъ вку́пѣ пти́цамъ небе́снымъ и звѣре́мъ земны́мъ: и соберу́тся на ня́ пти́цы небе́сныя, и вси́ звѣ́ріє земли́ на́нь пріи́дутъ.

and he shall leave them together to the birds of the sky, and to the wild beasts of the earth: and the fowls of the sky shall be gathered upon them, and all the beasts of the land shall come upon him.

Въ то́ вре́мя принесу́тся да́ры Го́споду Савао́ѳу от люді́й оскорбле́ныхъ и отто́рженыхъ и от люді́й вели́кихъ, отны́нѣ и въ вѣ́чноє вре́мя: язы́къ надѣ́ющься и попра́нъ, и́же є́сть въ ча́сти рѣ́чнѣй страны́ своєя́, на мѣ́сто, идѣ́же и́мя Го́спода Савао́ѳа, на го́ру Сіо́ню. In that time shall presents be brought to the Lord of hosts from a people afflicted and peeled, and from a people great from henceforth and for ever; a nation hoping and yet trodden down, which is in a part of a river of his land, to the place where is the name of the Lord of hosts, the mount Sion.

Се́, Госпо́дь сѣди́тъ на о́блацѣ ле́гцѣ и пріи́детъ во Єги́петъ, и потрясу́тся рукотворе́нная Єги́петская от лица́ єго́, и сердца́ и́хъ разсла́бнутъ въ ни́хъ.

The Vision of Egypt. Behold, the Lord sits on a swift cloud, and shall come to Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and their heart shall faint within them.

И воста́нутъ Єги́птяне на Єги́птяны, и вооружи́тся человѣ́къ на бра́та своєго́, и вся́къ на бли́жняго своєго́, воста́нетъ гра́дъ на гра́дъ и зако́нъ на зако́нъ.

And the Egyptians shall be stirred up against the Egyptians: and a man shall fight against his brother, and a man against his neighbour, city against city, and law against law.

И возмяте́тся ду́хъ Єги́птянъ въ ни́хъ, и совѣ́тъ и́хъ разсы́плю, и вопро́сятъ бого́въ свои́хъ и кумі́ровъ свои́хъ, и глася́щихъ от земли́ и чревоволше́бниковъ.

And the spirit of the Egyptians shall be troubled within them; and I will frustrate their counsel: and they shall enquire of their gods and their images, and them that speak out of the earth, and them that have in them a divining spirit.

И преда́мъ Єги́петъ въ ру́цѣ человѣ́ковъ вла́стелей же́стокихъ, и ца́ріє же́стоцы облада́ти бу́дутъ и́ми: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ.

And I will deliver Egypt into the hands of men, of cruel lords; and cruel kings shall rule over them: thus saith the Lord of hosts.

И испію́тъ Єги́птяне во́ду, я́же при мо́ри, а рѣка́ оскудѣ́єтъ и и́зсхнетъ.

And the Egyptians shall drink the water that is by the sea, but the river shall fail, and be dried up.

И оскудѣ́ютъ рѣ́ки и рове́нницы рѣ́чніи: и и́зсхнетъ ве́сь со́нмъ водны́й, и во вся́цѣмъ лу́зѣ тро́стнѣмъ и си́тнѣмъ,

And the streams shall fail, and the canals of the river; and every reservoir of water shall be dried up, in every marsh also of reed and papyrus.

и зла́къ зеле́ный ве́сь и́же о́крестъ рѣки́, и все́ сѣ́ємоє при рѣцѣ́ по́схнетъ вѣ́тромъ растлѣ́нно.

And all the green herbage round about the river, and everything sown by the side of the river, shall be blasted with the wind and dried up.

И возстеня́тъ ры́баріє, и возстеня́тъ вси́ ме́щущіи у́дицу въ рѣку́, и ме́щущіи не́воды и ме́щущіи сѣ́ти возрыда́ютъ.

And the fishermen shall groan, and all that cast a hook into the river shall groan; they also that cast nets, and the anglers shall mourn.

И сту́дъ пріи́метъ дѣ́лающихъ ле́нъ расче́саный и дѣ́лающихъ виссо́нъ, и бу́дутъ дѣ́лающіи я́ въ болѣ́зни,

And shame shall come upon them that work fine flax, and them that make fine linen.

и вси́ творя́щіи Сіке́ру опеча́лятся и поболя́тъ душа́ми.

And they that work at them shall be in pain, and all that make beer shall be grieved, and be pained in their souls.

И юро́диви бу́дутъ кня́зи тане́совы: му́дріи царе́вы совѣ́тницы, совѣ́тъ и́хъ обюро́дѣєтъ. Ка́ко рече́те царю́: сы́нове смы́сленыхъ мы́, сы́нове царе́й дре́внихъ?

And the princes of Tanis shall be fools: as for the king's wise counsellors, their counsel shall be turned into folly: how will ye say to the king, We are sons of wise men, sons of ancient kings?

Гдѣ́ су́ть ны́нѣ му́дріи твои́, и да возвѣстя́тъ тебѣ́ и реку́тъ: что́ совѣща́ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ на Єги́петъ?

Where are now thy wise men? and let them declare to thee, and say, What has the Lord of hosts purposed upon Egypt?

Оскудѣ́ша кня́зи тане́совы, и вознесо́шася кня́зи мемфі́тстіи, и прельстя́тъ Єги́пта по племено́мъ.

The princes of Tanis have failed, and the princes of Memphis are lifted up with pride, and they shall cause Egypt to wander by tribes.

Госпо́дь бо раствори́ и́мъ ду́хъ прельще́нія, и прельсти́ша Єги́пта всѣ́ми дѣлесы́ свои́ми, я́коже прельща́єтся пія́ный и ку́пно блю́ющь.

For the Lord has prepared for them a spirit of error, and they have caused Egypt to err in all their works, as one staggers who is drunken and vomits also.

И не бу́детъ Єги́птяномъ дѣ́ла, є́же бы сотвори́ло главу́ и о́шибъ, и нача́ло и коне́цъ.

And there shall be no work to the Egyptians, which shall make head or tail, or beginning or end.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́дутъ Єги́птяне а́ки жены́ во стра́сѣ и тре́пете от лица́ руки́ Го́спода Савао́ѳа, ю́же то́й возложи́тъ на ня́.

But in that day the Egyptians shall be as women, in fear and in trembling because of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shall bring upon them.

И бу́детъ страна́ Іуде́йска во стра́хъ Єги́птяномъ: вся́къ, и́же а́ще воспомяне́тъ ю́ и́мъ, убоя́тся совѣ́та ра́ди, єго́же совѣща́ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ на́нь.

And the land of the Jews shall be for a terror to the Egyptians: whosoever shall name it to them, they shall fear, because of the counsel which the Lord of hosts has purposed concerning it.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́детъ пя́ть градо́въ во Єги́птѣ, глаго́лющихъ язы́комъ ханаані́тскимъ и клену́щихся и́менемъ Го́спода Савао́ѳа: гра́дъ аседе́къ прозове́тся єди́нъ гра́дъ.

In that day there shall be five cities in Egypt speaking the language of Chanaan, and swearing by the name of the Lord of hosts; one city shall be called the city of Asedec.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́детъ же́ртвенникъ Го́сподеви въ земли́ Єги́петстѣй и сто́лпъ въ предѣ́лѣхъ єго́ Го́сподеви.

In that day there shall be an altar to the Lord in the land of the Egyptians, and a pillar to the Lord by its border.

И бу́детъ въ зна́меніє во вѣ́къ Го́сподеви въ земли́ Єги́петстѣй: я́ко возопію́тъ ко Го́споду на оскорбля́ющыя и́хъ, и по́слетъ и́мъ Госпо́дь человѣ́ка, и́же спасе́тъ я́, судя́й спасе́тъ я́.

And it shall be for a sign to the Lord for ever in the land of Egypt: for they shall presently cry to the Lord by reason of them that afflict them, and he shall send them a man who shall save them; he shall judge and save them.

И позна́нъ бу́детъ Госпо́дь Єги́птяномъ: и увѣ́дятъ Єги́птяне Го́спода въ то́й де́нь и сотворя́тъ же́ртвы и да́ры, и обѣща́ютъ обѣ́ты Го́сподеви и воздадя́тъ.

And the Lord shall be known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day; and they shall offer sacrifices, and shall vow vows to the Lord, and pay them.

И порази́тъ Госпо́дь Єги́птянъ я́звою вели́кою и исцѣли́тъ и́хъ цѣльбо́ю, и обратя́тся ко Го́сподеви, и услы́шитъ и́хъ и исцѣли́тъ и́хъ цѣльбо́ю.

And the Lord shall smite the Egyptians with a stroke, and shall completely heal them: and they shall return to the Lord, and he shall hear them, and thoroughly heal them.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́детъ пу́ть от Єги́пта ко Ассирі́аномъ, и вни́дутъ Ассирі́ане во Єги́петъ, и Єги́птяне по́йдутъ ко Ассирі́аномъ, и порабо́таютъ Єги́птяне Ассирі́аномъ.

In that day there shall be a way from Egypt to the Assyrians, and the Assyrians shall enter into Egypt, and the Egyptians shall go to the Assyrians, and the Egyptians shall serve the Assyrians.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́детъ Ізра́иль тре́тій во Єги́птянѣхъ и во Ассирі́анѣхъ, благослове́нъ на земли́,

In that day shall Israel be third with the Egyptians and the Assyrians, blessed in the land which the Lord of hosts has blessed,

ю́же благослови́ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ, глаго́ля: благослове́ни лю́діє мои́, и́же во Єги́птѣ и и́же во Ассирі́ахъ, и наслѣ́діє моє́ Ізра́иль.

saying, Blessed be my people that is in Egypt, and that is among the Assyrians, and Israel mine inheritance.

Въ лѣ́то, въ не́же вни́де танаѳа́нъ во азо́тъ, єгда́ по́сланъ бы́сть от Арны́, царя́ Ассирі́йскаго, и воєва́ на азо́тъ и взя́ єго́,

In the year when Tanathan came to Azotus, when he was sent by Arna king of the Assyrians, and warred against Azotus, and took it;

тогда́ рече́ Госпо́дь ко Иса́іи сы́ну Амо́сову, глаго́ля: иди́ и све́рзи вре́тище со чре́слъ свои́хъ, и санда́лія твоя́ иззу́й съ но́гъ твои́хъ, и сотвори́ си́це, ходя́ на́гъ и бо́съ.

then the Lord spoke to Esaias the son of Amos, saying, Go and take the sackcloth off thy loins, and loose thy sandals from off thy feet, and do thus, going naked and barefoot.

И рече́ Госпо́дь: я́коже ходи́лъ ра́бъ мо́й Иса́іа на́гъ и бо́съ три́ лѣ́та, три́ лѣ́та бу́дутъ зна́менія и чудеса́ Єги́птяномъ и єѳіо́пляномъ:

And the Lord said, As my servant Esaias has walked naked and barefoot three years, there shall be three years for signs and wonders to the Egyptians and Ethiopians;

я́ко та́кожде отведе́тъ ца́рь Ассирі́йскъ плѣ́нъ Єги́петскъ и єѳіо́пскъ, ю́ношы и ста́рцы, на́ги и бо́сы, открове́ны во стыдѣ́ніє Єги́пту.

for thus shall the king of the Assyrians lead the captivity of Egypt and the Ethiopians, young men and old, naked and barefoot, having the shame of Egypt exposed.

И постыдя́тся побѣжде́ни Єги́птяне о єѳіо́плянѣхъ, на ни́хже упова́ху Єги́птяне, бя́ху бо и́мъ сла́ва.

And the Egyptians being defeated shall be ashamed of the Ethiopians, in whom they had trusted; for they were their glory.

И реку́тъ живу́щіи на о́стровѣ се́мъ въ де́нь о́ный: се́, мы́ бѣ́хомъ упова́юще бѣжа́ти къ ни́мъ на по́мощь, и́же не мого́ша спасти́ся от царя́ Ассирі́йска, и ка́ко мы́ спасе́мся? И реку́тъ живу́щіи на о́стровѣ се́мъ въ де́нь о́ный: се́, мы́ бѣ́хомъ упова́юще бѣжа́ти къ ни́мъ на по́мощь, и́же не мого́ша спасти́ся от царя́ Ассирі́йска, и ка́ко мы́ спасе́мся? Видѣ́ніє пусты́ни.

And they that dwell in this island shall say in that day, Behold, we trusted to flee to them for help, who could not save themselves from the king of the Assyrians: and how shall we be saved?

Я́коже бу́ря сквозѣ́ пусты́ню прохо́дитъ, от пусты́ни исходя́щая изъ земли́,

The Vision of the Desert. As though a whirlwind should pass through the desert, coming from a desert, even from such a land,

стра́шно видѣ́ніє и же́стоко повѣ́дася мнѣ́: преступа́яй преступа́єтъ, и беззако́ннуяй беззако́нствуєтъ: на мя́ Єламі́те, и послы́ пе́рсстіи на мя́ и́дутъ: ны́нѣ воздохну́ и утѣ́шу себе́.

so a fearful and a grievous vision was declared to me: he that is treacherous deals treacherously, the transgressor transgresses. The Elamites are upon me, and the ambassadors of the Persians come against me: now will I groan and comfort myself.

Сего́ ра́ди напо́лнишася чре́сла моя́ разслабле́нія, и болѣ́зни прія́ша мя́ а́ки ражда́ющую: непра́вдовахъ є́же не слы́шати, потща́хся є́же не ви́дѣти.

Therefore are my loins filled with feebleness, and pangs have seized me as a travailing woman: I dealt wrongfully that I might not hear; I hasted that I might not see.

Се́рдце моє́ заблужда́єтъ, и беззако́ніє погружа́єтъ мя́, душа́ моя́ стои́тъ во стра́сѣ.

My heart wanders, and transgression overwhelms me; my soul is occupied with fear.

Угото́вите трапе́зу, яди́те, пі́йте: воста́вше, кня́зи, угото́вите щиты́,

Prepare the table, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and prepare your shields.

я́ко та́ко рече́ Госпо́дь ко мнѣ́: ше́дъ поста́ви себѣ́ стра́жа, и є́же а́ще у́зриши, возвѣсти́.

For thus said the Lord to me, Go and station a watchman for thyself, and declare whatever thou shalt see.

И узрѣ́хъ вса́дники ко́нныя два́, вса́дника на осля́ти и вса́дника на велблю́дѣ. Послу́шай слу́шаніємъ мно́гимъ

And I saw two mounted horsemen, and a rider on an ass, and a rider on a camel.

и призови́ урі́ю на стра́жбу Госпо́дню. И рече́: стоя́хъ вы́ну де́нь, и у по́лчища а́зъ стоя́хъ всю́ но́щь,

Hearken with great attention, and call thou Urias to the watch-tower: the Lord has spoken. I stood continually during the day, and I stood in the camp all the night:

и се́, са́мъ гряде́тъ [му́жъ] вса́дникъ двоко́нный, и отвѣща́въ рече́: паде́, паде́ Вавило́нъ, и вси́ кумі́ры єго́ и вся́ рукотворе́нная єго́ сокруши́шася на земли́.

and, behold, he comes riding in a chariot and pair: and he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all her images and her idols have been crushed to the ground.

Послу́шайте, оста́вшіися, и болѣ́знующіи, услы́шите: є́же слы́шахъ от Го́спода Савао́ѳа, Бо́гъ Ізра́илевъ возвѣсти́ на́мъ.

Hear, ye that are left, and ye that are in pain, hear what things I have heard of the Lord of hosts which the God of Israel has declared to us.

Видѣ́ніє на Ідуме́ю. Ко мнѣ́ зови́ от Сиі́ра: стреги́те забра́ла.

The Vision of Idumea. Call to me out of Seir; guard ye the bulwarks.

Стрегу́ зау́тра и но́щію. А́ще и́щеши, ищи́ и у мене́ обита́й.

I watch in the morning and the night: if thou wouldest enquire, enquire, and dwell by me.

Въ дубра́вѣ въ ве́черъ преспи́ши, или́ на пути́ Деда́новѣ.

Thou mayest lodge in the forest in the evening, or in the way of Dædan.

Во срѣ́теніє жа́ждущему во́ду принеси́те, живу́щіи во странѣ́ Ѳема́новѣ, со хлѣ́бы срѣта́йте бѣжа́щыя мно́жества ра́ди убіє́нныхъ

Ye that dwell in the country of Thæman, bring water to meet him that is thirsty;

и мно́жества ра́ди заблужда́ющихъ, и мно́жества ра́ди мече́й и мно́жества ра́ди луко́въ напряже́нныхъ, и мно́жества ра́ди па́дшихъ на сѣ́чи.

meet the fugitives with bread, because of the multitude of the slain, and because of the multitude of them that lose their way, and because of the multitude of swords, and because of the multitude of bent bows, and because of the multitude of them that have fallen in war.

Я́ко си́це рече́ Госпо́дь ко мнѣ́: єще́ лѣ́то [єди́но], я́коже лѣ́то нає́мника, оскудѣ́єтъ сла́ва сыно́въ Кида́рскихъ,

For thus said the Lord to me, Yet a year, as the year of an hireling, and the glory of the sons of Kedar shall fail:

и оста́нокъ луко́въ си́льныхъ сыно́въ Кида́рскихъ бу́детъ ма́лъ, я́ко Госпо́дь Бо́гъ Изра́илевъ глаго́ла. и оста́нокъ луко́въ си́льныхъ сыно́въ Кида́рскихъ бу́детъ ма́лъ, я́ко Госпо́дь Бо́гъ Ізра́илевъ глаго́ла. Видѣ́ніє де́бри Сіо́ни.

and the remnant of the strong bows of the sons of Kedar shall be small: for the Lord God of Israel has spoken it.

Что́ бы́сть тебѣ́, я́ко ны́нѣ возлѣзо́сте вси́ на хра́мины тще́тныя?

The Word of the Valley of Sion. What has happened to thee, that now ye are all gone up to the housetops which help you not?

Напо́лнися гра́дъ вопію́щихъ, уя́звленніи твои́ не мечьми́ уязвле́ни, ниже́ мертвецы́ твои́ умерщвле́ни ра́тію:

The city is filled with shouting men: thy slain are not slain with swords, nor are thy dead those who have died in battle.

вси́ кня́зи твои́ побѣго́ша, и плѣне́нніи же́стоцѣ су́ть свя́зани, и крѣ́пцыи въ тебѣ́ дале́че отбѣжа́ша.

All thy princes have fled, and thy captives are tightly bound, and the mighty men in thee have fled far away.

Сего́ ра́ди реко́хъ: оста́вите мене́, да го́рцѣ воспла́чуся: не належи́те утѣша́ти мя́ о сокруше́ніи дще́ре ро́да моєго́:

Therefore I said, Let me alone, I will weep bitterly; labour not to comfort me for the breach of the daughter of my people.

я́ко де́нь мяте́жа и па́губы и попра́нія, и смяте́ніє от Го́спода Савао́ѳа: въ де́бри Сіо́ни скита́ются, от ма́ла да́же до вели́ка скита́ются по гора́мъ.

For it is a day of trouble, and of destruction, and of treading down, and there is perplexity sent from the Lord of hosts: they wander in the valley of Sion; they wander from the least to the greatest on the mountains.

Єламі́те же взя́ша ту́лы, и вса́дницы человѣ́цы на ко́нехъ, и собо́ръ ополче́нія.

And the Elamites took their quivers, and there were men mounted on horses, and there was a gathering for battle.

И бу́дутъ избра́нны де́бри твоя́, напо́лнятся колесни́цъ, ко́нницы же засту́пятъ врата́ твоя́

And it shall be that thy choice valleys shall be filled with chariots, and horsemen shall block up thy gates.

и откры́ютъ врата́ Іу́дина, и воззря́тъ въ то́й де́нь во избра́нныя до́мы гра́да,

And they shall uncover the gates of Juda, and they shall look in that day on the choice houses of the city.

и откры́ютъ сокрове́нная домо́въ краєгра́дія даві́дова, и у́зрятъ, я́ко мно́жайшіи су́ть, и я́ко отврати́ша во́ду дре́внія купѣ́ли во гра́дъ,

And they shall uncover the secret places of the houses of the citadel of David: and they saw that they were many, and that one had turned the water of the old pool into the city;

и я́ко разори́ша до́мы Ієрусали́мли на утвержде́ніє стѣнѣ́ гра́днѣй.

and that they had pulled down the houses of Jerusalem, to fortify the wall of the city.

И сотвори́сте себѣ́ во́ду между́ двѣма́ стѣна́ма, внутрьу́ду купѣ́ли дре́внія, и не воззрѣ́сте на сотвори́вшаго ю́ испе́рва, и согра́ждшаго ю́ не ви́дѣсте.

And ye procured to yourselves water between the two walls within the ancient pool: but ye looked not to him that made it from the beginning, and regarded not him that created it.

И призва́ Госпо́дь, Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ въ то́й де́нь пла́чь и рыда́ніє, и остриже́ніє и препоя́саніє во вре́тища:

And the Lord, the Lord of hosts, called in that day for weeping, and lamentation, and baldness, and for girding with sackcloth:

ті́и же сотвори́ша ра́дость и весе́ліє, закала́юще телцы́ и жру́ще о́вцы, я́ко я́сти мяса́ и пи́ти віно́, глаго́люще: да я́мы и піє́мъ, у́трѣ бо у́мремъ.

but they engaged in joy and gladness, slaying calves, and killing sheep, so as to eat flesh, and drink wine; saying, Let us eat and drink; for to-morrow we die.

И открове́нна сія́ су́ть во у́шію Го́спода Савао́ѳа, я́ко не оста́вится ва́мъ то́й грѣ́хъ, до́ндеже у́мрете.

And these things are revealed in the ears of the Lord of hosts: for this sin shall not be forgiven you, until ye die.

Си́це глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ: иди́ въ ку́щу ко сомна́ну строи́телю до́му и рцы́ єму́:

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Go into the chamber, to Somnas the treasurer, and say to him, Why art thou here?

что́ ты́ здѣ́, и что́ тебѣ́ здѣ́, я́ко истеса́лъ єси́ себѣ́ здѣ́ гро́бъ и сотвори́лъ єси́ себѣ́ на высо́цѣ гро́бъ, и написа́лъ єси́ себѣ́ на ка́мени ку́щу?

and what hast thou to do here, that thou hast here hewn thyself a sepulchre, and madest thyself a sepulchre on high, and hast graven for thyself a dwelling in the rock?

Се́, ны́нѣ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ изве́ржетъ и сотре́тъ му́жа, и отъи́метъ у́тварь твою́ и вѣне́цъ тво́й сла́вный,

Behold now, the Lord of hosts casts forth and will utterly destroy such a man, and will take away thy robe and thy glorious crown,

и пове́ржетъ тя́ во страну́ вели́ку и безмѣ́рну, и та́мо у́мреши: и положи́тъ колесни́цу твою́ до́брую въ безче́стіє и до́мъ кня́зя твоєго́ въ попра́ніє:

and will cast thee into a great and unmeasured land, and there thou shalt die: and he will bring thy fair chariot to shame, and the house of thy prince to be trodden down.

и изве́ржешися от строи́телства твоєго́ и от степе́не твоєго́.

And thou shalt be removed from thy stewardship, and from thy place.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, и призову́ раба́ моєго́ Єліакі́ма сы́на хелкі́єва

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Chelcias:

и облеку́ єго́ во у́тварь твою́, и вѣне́цъ тво́й да́мъ єму́ и держа́ву твою́, и строи́телство твоє́ да́мъ въ ру́цѣ єго́, и бу́детъ я́ко оте́цъ живу́щымъ во Ієрусали́мѣ и живу́щымъ во Іуде́и.

and I will put on him thy robe, and I will grant him thy crown with power, and I will give thy stewardship into his hands: and he shall be as a father to them that dwell in Jerusalem, and to them that dwell in Juda.

И да́мъ єму́ сла́ву даві́дову, и обвладѣ́єтъ, и не бу́детъ противоглаго́лющаго: и да́мъ єму́ клю́чь до́му даві́дова на ра́мо єго́, и отве́рзетъ, и не бу́детъ затворя́ющаго, и затво́ритъ, и не бу́детъ отверза́ющаго.

And I will give him the glory of David; and he shall rule, and there shall be none to speak against him: and I will give him the key of the house of David upon his shoulder; and he shall open, and there shall be none to shut; and he shall shut, and there shall be none to open.

И поста́влю єго́ кня́зя на мѣ́стѣ вѣ́рнѣ, и бу́детъ на престо́лѣ сла́вы до́му отца́ своєго́.

And I will make him a ruler in a sure place, and he shall be for a glorious throne of his father's house.

И бу́детъ упова́яй на него́ вся́къ сла́вный въ дому́ отца́ єго́, от ма́ла да́же до вели́ка: и бу́дутъ зави́сяще на не́мъ.

And every one that is glorious in the house of his father shall trust in him, from the least to the greatest; and they shall depend upon him in that day.

Въ то́й де́нь, сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ, подви́гнется человѣ́къ утвержде́нъ на мѣ́стѣ вѣ́рнѣ, и отъи́мется, и паде́тъ, и потреби́тся сла́ва, я́же на не́мъ, я́ко Госпо́дь глаго́ла. Въ то́й де́нь, сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ, подви́гнется человѣ́къ утвержде́нъ на мѣ́стѣ вѣ́рнѣ, и отъи́мется, и паде́тъ, и потреби́тся сла́ва, я́же на не́мъ, я́ко Госпо́дь глаго́ла. Видѣ́ніє на ти́ра.

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, The man that is fastened in the sure place shall be removed and be taken away, and shall fall; and the glory that is upon him shall be utterly destroyed: for the Lord has spoken it.

Пла́читеся, корабли́ кархидо́нстіи, я́ко поги́бе, и ктому́ не и́дутъ от земли́ китіє́йскія, отведе́ся плѣне́нъ.

The Word concerning Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Carthage; for she has perished, and men no longer arrive from the land of the Citians: she is led captive.

Кому́ подо́бни бы́ша живу́щіи во о́стровѣ, купцы́ фі́нічестіи, преходя́щіи мо́ре?

To whom are the dwellers in the island become like, the merchants of Phœnice, passing over the sea

Въ водѣ́ мно́зѣ сѣ́мя купе́ческо, а́ки жа́твѣ вноси́мѣй купцы́ язы́честіи.

in great waters, a generation of merchants? as when the harvest is gathered in, so are these traders with the nations.

Усрами́ся, Сідо́не, рече́ мо́ре. Крѣ́пость же морска́я рече́: не болѣ́хъ, ни породи́хъ, ни вскорми́хъ ю́ношъ, ниже́ вознесо́хъ дѣви́цъ.

Be ashamed, O Sidon: the sea has said, yea, the strength of the sea has said, I have not travailed, nor brought forth, nor have I brought up young men, nor reared virgins.

Єгда́ же слы́шано бу́детъ во Єги́птѣ, пріи́метъ я́ болѣ́знь о ти́рѣ.

Moreover when it shall be heard in Egypt, sorrow shall seize them for Tyre.

Иди́те въ кархидо́нъ, пла́читеся, живу́щіи во о́стровѣ се́мъ.

Depart ye to Carthage; howl, ye that dwell in this island.

Не сіє́ ли бѣ́ велича́ніє ва́мъ испе́рва, пре́жде не́же пре́дану бы́ти єму́?

Was not this your pride from the beginning, before she was given up?

Кто́ сія́ совѣща́ на ти́ра? єда́ ху́ждшій є́сть, или́ не крѣ́пкій є́сть? купцы́ єго́ сла́вніи кня́зи земли́.

Who has devised this counsel against Tyre? Is she inferior? or has she no strength? her merchants were the glorious princes of the earth.

Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ совѣща́ разсы́пати вся́кую горды́ню сла́вныхъ и обезче́стити вся́коє сла́вноє на земли́.

The Lord of hosts has purposed to bring down all the pride of the glorious ones, and to disgrace every glorious thing on the earth.

Дѣ́лай зе́млю твою́, и́бо корабли́ ктому́ не пріи́дутъ от кархидо́на.

Till thy land; for ships no more come out of Carthage.

И рука́ твоя́ ктому́ не укрѣпѣ́єтъ по мо́рю, разгнѣвля́ющая царе́й. Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ заповѣ́да о Ханаа́нѣ, є́же погуби́ти крѣ́пость єго́.

And thy hand prevails no more by sea, which troubled kings: the Lord of hosts has given a command concerning Chanaan, to destroy the strength thereof.

И реку́тъ: ктому́ не приложи́те укаря́ти и оби́дѣти дще́рь Сідо́ню: и а́ще отъи́деши ко китіи́омъ, ниже́ та́мо бу́детъ тебѣ́ поко́й:

And men shall say, Ye shall no longer at all continue to insult and injure the daughter of Sidon: and if thou depart to the Citians, neither there shalt thou have rest.

и въ зе́млю Халде́йску, но и та́ опустѣ́ла от Ассирі́анъ, я́ко стѣна́ єя́ паде́ся.

And if thou depart to the land of the Chaldeans, this also is laid waste by the Assyrians, for her wall is fallen.

Пла́читеся, корабли́ кархидо́нстіи, я́ко поги́бе тверды́ня ва́ша.

Howl, ye ships of Carthage: for your strong hold is destroyed.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, оста́вленъ бу́детъ ти́ръ се́дмьдесятъ лѣ́тъ, я́коже вре́мя [єди́наго] царя́, я́ко вре́мя человѣ́ческо: и по седми́десятихъ лѣ́тѣхъ бу́детъ ти́ръ я́ко пѣ́снь блудни́цы.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be left seventy years, as the time of a king, as the time of a man: and it shall come to pass after seventy years, that Tyre shall be as the song of a harlot.

Возми́ гу́сли, обыди́ гра́дъ, блудни́ца забве́ная, до́брѣ погуди́, мно́го воспо́й, да па́мять твоя́ бу́детъ.

Take a harp, go about, O city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; play well on the harp, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

И бу́детъ по седми́десятихъ лѣ́тѣхъ, присѣще́ніє сотвори́тъ Бо́гъ ти́ру, и па́ки возста́вится на пре́жднеє и бу́детъ то́ржище всѣ́мъ ца́рствамъ вселе́нныя на лицы́ земли́.

And it shall come to pass after the seventy years, that God will visit Tyre, and she shall be again restored to her primitive state, and she shall be a mart for all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth.

И бу́детъ єго́ ку́пля и мзда́ свято Го́сподеви, не и́мъ со́брано бу́детъ, но живу́щымъ предъ Го́сподемъ, вся́ ку́пля єго́, я́сти и пи́ти и напо́лнитися, и въ сы́тость, на па́мять предъ Го́сподемъ.

And her trade and her gain shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be gathered for them, but for those that dwell before the Lord, even all her trade, to eat and drink and be filled, and for a covenant and a memorial before the Lord.

Се́, Госпо́дь разсы́плетъ вселе́нную и опустоши́тъ ю́, и откры́єтъ лице́ єя́ и расточи́тъ живу́щыя на не́й.

Behold, the Lord is about to lay waste the world, and will make it desolate, and will lay bare the surface of it, and scatter them that dwell therein.

И бу́дутъ лю́діє а́ки жре́цъ, и ра́бъ а́ки господи́нъ, и раба́ а́ки госпожа́: бу́детъ купу́яй я́ко продая́й, и взаи́мъ є́мляй а́ки заимода́вецъ, и до́лжный а́ки єму́же є́сть до́лженъ.

And the people shall be as the priest, and the servant as the lord, and the maid as the mistress; the buyer shall be as the seller, the lender as the borrower, and the debtor as his creditor.

Тлѣ́ніємъ истлѣ́єтъ земля́, и расхище́ніємъ расхище́на бу́детъ земля́: уста́ бо Госпо́дня глаго́лаша сія́.

The earth shall be completely laid waste, and the earth shall be utterly spoiled: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken these things.

Воспла́кася земля́, и растлѣ́нна бы́сть вселе́нная, воспла́кашася высо́цыи земли́.

The earth mourns, and the world is ruined, the lofty ones of the earth are mourning.

Земля́ бо беззако́ніє сотвори́ живу́щихъ ра́ди на не́й, поне́же преступи́ша зако́нъ и измѣни́ша за́повѣди, разруши́ша завѣ́тъ вѣ́чный.

And she has sinned by reason of her inhabitants; because they have transgressed the law, and changed the ordinances, even the everlasting covenant.

Сего́ ра́ди прокля́тіє поя́стъ зе́млю, я́ко согрѣши́ша живу́щіи на не́й: сего́ ра́ди убо́зи бу́дутъ живу́щіи на земли́, и оста́нется человѣ́ковъ ма́ло.

Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, because the inhabitants thereof have sinned: therefore the dwellers in the earth shall be poor, and few men shall be left.

Воспла́чется віно́, возрыда́єтъ віногра́дъ, возстену́тъ вси́ ра́дующіися душе́ю.

The wine shall mourn, the vine shall mourn, all the merry-hearted shall sigh.

Преста́ло є́сть весе́ліє тимпа́новъ, преста́ высокоде́рзость и бога́тство нечести́выхъ, преста́лъ є́сть гла́съ гу́слей:

The mirth of timbrels has ceased, the sound of the harp has ceased.

усрами́шася, не пи́ша віна́, горька́ бы́сть Сіке́ра пію́щымъ.

They are ashamed, they have not drunk wine; strong drink has become bitter to them that drink it.

Опустѣ́ вся́къ гра́дъ, заключи́тъ хра́мъ, є́же не вни́ти.

All the city has become desolate: one shall shut his house so that none shall enter.

Пла́читеся о вінѣ́ всю́ду, преста́ла є́сть ра́дость вся́ земна́я, отъи́де вся́ ра́дость земли́.

There is a howling for the wine everywhere; all the mirth of the land has ceased, all the mirth of the land has departed.

И оста́нутъ гра́ди пу́сти, и до́мове оста́влени поги́бнутъ.

And cities shall be left desolate, and houses being left shall fall to ruin.

Сія́ вся́ бу́дутъ на земли́ среди́ язы́ковъ: я́коже а́ще кто́ отряса́єтъ ма́сличину, та́ко отрясу́тъ и́хъ: и [я́коже] а́ще оста́нетъ от объима́нія віногра́да,

All this shall be in the land in the midst of the nations, as if one should strip an olive tree, so shall they strip them; but when the vintage is done,

сі́и гла́сомъ возопію́тъ: оста́вшіися же на земли́ возра́дуются со сла́вою Госпо́днею, возмяте́тся вода́ морска́я.

these shall cry aloud; and they that are left on the land shall rejoice together in the glory of the Lord: the water of the sea shall be troubled.

Сего́ ра́ди сла́ва Госпо́дня во о́стровѣхъ бу́детъ морски́хъ, и́мя Госпо́дне просла́влено бу́детъ.

Therefore shall the glory of the Lord be in the isles of the sea; the name of the Lord shall be glorious.

Го́споди Бо́же Ізра́илевъ, от кри́лъ земны́хъ чудеса́ слы́шахомъ, наде́жда благочести́вому: и реку́тъ: [го́ре ху́лящымъ, и́же ху́лятъ зако́нъ,] го́ре престу́пникомъ, и́же преступа́ютъ зако́нъ.

O Lord God of Israel, from the ends of the earth we have heard wonderful things, and there is hope to the godly: but they shall say, Woe to the despisers, that despise the law.

Стра́хъ и про́пасть и сѣ́ть на ва́съ живу́щихъ на земли́.

Fear, and a pit, and a snare, are upon you that dwell on the earth.

И бу́детъ, бѣжа́й стра́ха впаде́тъ въ про́пасть, и изла́зяй изъ про́пасти и́мется въ сѣ́ть: я́ко о́кна съ небесе́ отверзо́шася, и потрясу́тся основа́нія земна́я.

And it shall come to pass, that he that flees from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that comes up out of the pit shall be caught by the snare: for windows have been opened in heaven, and the foundations of the earth shall be shaken,

Мяте́жемъ возмяте́тся земля́, и ску́достію оскудѣ́єтъ земля́.

the earth shall be utterly confounded, and the earth shall be completely perplexed.

Преклони́ся и потрясе́ся земля́ а́ки ово́щноє храни́лище, и а́ки пія́нъ и шу́менъ паде́тъ и не возмо́жетъ воста́ти, преодолѣ́ бо на не́й беззако́ніє.

It reels as a drunkard and one oppressed with wine, and the earth shall be shaken as a storehouse of fruits; for iniquity has prevailed upon it, and it shall fall, and shall not be able to rise.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, наведе́тъ Госпо́дь на у́тварь небе́сную ру́ку и на цари́ земны́я.

And God shall bring his hand upon the host of heaven, and upon the kings of the earth.

И соберу́тъ собра́ніє єя́ и затворя́тъ въ тве́рди и въ темни́цы: мно́зѣми ро́ды бу́детъ посѣще́ніє и́хъ.

And they shall gather the multitude thereof into prisons, and they shall shut them into a strong hold: after many generations they shall be visited.

И иста́єтъ плі́нѳа и паде́тъ стѣна́, и устыди́тся луна́ и посрами́тся со́лнце: я́ко воцари́тся Госпо́дь въ Сіо́нѣ и во Ієрусали́мѣ и предъ старѣ́йшины сла́венъ бу́детъ.

And the brick shall decay, and the wall shall fall; for the Lord shall reign from out of Sion, and out of Jerusalem, and shall be glorified before his elders.

Го́споди Бо́же мо́й, просла́влю тя́, воспою́ и́мя твоє́, я́ко сотвори́лъ єси́ чу́дная дѣла́, совѣ́тъ дре́вній и́стинный: да бу́детъ, Го́споди.

O Lord God, I will glorify thee, I will sing to thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things, even an ancient and faithful counsel. So be it.

Я́ко положи́лъ єси́ гра́ды въ пе́рсть, гра́ды тве́рдыя, є́же па́сти основа́ніємъ и́хъ, нечести́выхъ гра́дъ да не сози́ждется во вѣ́къ.

For thou hast made cities a heap, even cities made strong that their foundations should not fall: the city of ungodly men shall not be built for ever.

Сего́ ра́ди благословя́тъ тя́ лю́діє ни́щіи, и гра́ди человѣ́ковъ оби́димыхъ возблагословя́тъ тя́.

Therefore shall the poor people bless thee, and cities of injured men shall bless thee.

Бы́лъ бо єси́ вся́кому гра́ду смире́нному помо́щникъ, и изнемога́ющымъ за оскудѣ́ніє покро́въ, от человѣ́къ злы́хъ изба́виши и́хъ: покро́въ жа́ждущихъ, и ду́хъ человѣ́ковъ оби́димыхъ.

For thou hast been a helper to every lowly city, and a shelter to them that were disheartened by reason of poverty: thou shalt deliver them from wicked men: thou hast been a shelter of them that thirst, and a refreshing air to injured men.

А́ки человѣ́цы малоду́шніи жа́ждущіи въ Сіо́нѣ, я́ко изба́виши и́хъ от человѣ́къ нечести́выхъ, и́мже на́съ пре́далъ єси́.

We were as faint-hearted men thirsting in Sion, by reason of ungodly men to whom thou didst deliver us.

И сотвори́тъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ всѣ́мъ язы́комъ: на горѣ́ се́й испію́тъ ра́дость, испію́тъ віно́,

And the Lord of hosts shall make a feast for all the nations: on this mount they shall drink gladness, they shall drink wine:

пома́жутся ми́ромъ на горѣ́ се́й: преда́ждь сія́ вся́ язы́комъ: то́й бо совѣ́тъ на вся́ язы́ки.

they shall anoint themselves with ointment in this mountain. Impart thou all these things to the nations; for this is God's counsel upon all the nations.

Пожре́ сме́рть {Євр.: поже́рта бу́детъ сме́рть} возмо́гши, и па́ки отъя́тъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ вся́кую сле́зу от вся́каго лица́: поноше́ніє люді́й отъя́тъ от всея́ земли́, уста́ бо Госпо́дня глаго́лаша [сія́].

Death has prevailed and swallowed men up; but again the Lord God has taken away every tear from every face. He has taken away the reproach of his people from all the earth: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

И реку́тъ въ де́нь о́ный: се́, Бо́гъ на́шъ, на́ньже упова́хомъ, и спасе́тъ на́съ: се́й Госпо́дь, потерпѣ́хомъ єго́, и возра́довахомся и возвесели́хомся о спасе́ніи на́шемъ.

And in that day they shall say, Behold our God in whom we have trusted, and he shall save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, and we have exulted, and will rejoice in our salvation.

Поко́й да́стъ Бо́гъ на горѣ́ се́й, и попере́тся Моаві́тіда, я́коже то́пчутъ то́къ колесни́цами.

God will give rest on this mountain, and the country of Moab shall be trodden down, as they tread the floor with waggons.

И воздви́гнетъ ру́цѣ свои́, я́коже и то́й смири́, є́же погуби́ти: и смири́тъ горды́ню єго́, на ня́же ру́цѣ возложи́.

And he shall spread forth his hands, even as he also brings down man to destroy him: and he shall bring low his pride in regard to the thing on which he has laid his hands.

И высоту́ убѣ́жища огра́ды твоєя́ смири́тъ, и обни́зится да́же до земли́.

And he shall bring down the height of the refuge of the wall, and it shall come down even to the ground.

Въ то́й де́нь воспою́тъ пѣ́снь сію́ въ земли́ Іуде́йстѣй, глаго́люще: се́, гра́дъ крѣ́покъ, и спасе́ніє на́мъ положи́тъ стѣ́ну и огражде́ніє.

In that day they shall sing this song in the land of Judea; Behold a strong city; and he shall make salvation its wall and bulwark.

Отве́рзите врата́, да вни́дутъ лю́діє храня́щіи пра́вду и храня́щіи и́стину,

Open ye the gates, let the nation enter that keeps righteousness, and keeps truth,

пріє́млющіи и́стину и храня́щіи ми́ръ.

supporting truth, and keeping peace: for on thee, O Lord,

Я́ко на тя́ надѣ́яніємъ надѣ́яшася, Го́споди, во вѣ́къ, Бо́же вели́кій, вѣ́чный,

they have trusted with confidence for ever, the great, the eternal God;

и́же смири́въ низве́лъ єси́ живу́щыя въ высо́кихъ: гра́ды крѣ́пкія разори́ши и обни́зиши я́ да́же до земли́.

who hast humbled and brought down them that dwell on high, thou shalt cast down strong cities, and bring them to the ground.

И поперу́тъ я́ но́ги кро́ткихъ и смире́нныхъ.

And the feet of the meek and lowly shall trample them.

Пу́ть благочести́выхъ пра́въ бы́сть, и приугото́ванъ пу́ть благочести́выхъ.

The way of the godly is made straight: the way of the godly is also prepared.

Пу́ть бо Госпо́день су́дъ: упова́хомъ на и́мя твоє́ и па́мять, єя́же жела́єтъ душа́ на́ша.

For the way of the Lord is judgment: we have hoped in thy name, and on the remembrance of thee,

От но́щи у́тренюєтъ ду́хъ мо́й къ тебѣ́, Бо́же, зане́ свѣ́тъ повелѣ́нія твоя́ на земли́: пра́вдѣ научи́теся, живу́щіи на земли́.

which our soul longs for: my spirit seeks thee very early in the morning, O God, for thy commandments are a light on the earth: learn righteousness, ye that dwell upon the earth.

Преста́ бо нечести́вый: вся́къ, и́же не научи́тся пра́вдѣ на земли́, и́стины не сотвори́тъ: да во́змется нечести́вый, да не ви́дитъ сла́вы Госпо́дни.

For the ungodly one is put down: no one who will not learn righteousness on the earth, shall be able to do the truth: let the ungodly be taken away, that he see not the glory of the Lord.

Го́споди, высока́ твоя́ мы́шца, и не вѣ́дѣша, разумѣ́вше же постыдя́тся: ре́вность пріи́метъ лю́ди ненака́занныя, и ны́нѣ о́гнь супоста́ты поя́стъ.

O Lord, thine arm is exalted, yet they knew it not: but when they know they shall be ashamed: jealousy shall seize upon an untaught nation, and now fire shall devour the adversaries.

Го́споди Бо́же на́шъ, ми́ръ да́ждь на́мъ, вся́ бо возда́лъ єси́ на́мъ.

O Lord our God, give us peace: for thou hast rendered to us all things.

Го́споди Бо́же на́шъ, стяжи́ ны: Го́споди, ра́звѣ тебе́ ино́го не вѣ́мы: и́мя твоє́ имену́ємъ.

O Lord our God, take possession of us: O Lord, we know not any other beside thee: we name thy name.

Ме́ртвіи же живота́ не и́мутъ ви́дѣти, ниже́ вра́чеве воскреся́тъ: сего́ ра́ди наве́лъ єси́ и погуби́лъ єси́, и взя́лъ єси́ вся́къ му́жескъ по́лъ и́хъ.

But the dead shall not see life, neither shall physicians by any means raise them up: therefore thou hast brought wrath upon them, and slain them, and hast taken away every male of them. Bring more evils upon them, O Lord;

Приложи́ и́мъ зла́, Го́споди, приложи́ зла́ сла́внымъ земли́.

bring more evils on the glorious ones of the earth.

Го́споди, въ ско́рби помяну́хомъ тя́, въ ско́рби ма́лѣ наказа́ніє твоє́ на́мъ.

Lord, in affliction I remembered thee; thy chastening was to us with small affliction.

И я́ко боля́щая приближа́єтся роди́ти и въ болѣ́зни своє́й воскрича́, та́ко бы́хомъ возлю́бленному твоєму́.

And as a woman in travail draws nigh to be delivered, and cries out in her pain; so have we been to thy beloved.

Стра́ха ра́ди твоєго́, Го́споди, во чре́вѣ прія́хомъ и поболѣ́хомъ, и роди́хомъ ду́хъ спасе́нія твоєго́, єго́же сотвори́хомъ на земли́: не паде́мся, но паду́тся вси́ живу́щіи на земли́.

We have conceived, O Lord, because of thy fear, and have been in pain, and have brought forth the breath of thy salvation, which we have wrought upon the earth: we shall not fall, but all that dwell upon the land shall fall.

Воскре́снутъ ме́ртвіи и воста́нутъ и́же во гробѣ́хъ, и возра́дуются и́же на земли́: роса́ бо, я́же от тебе́, исцѣле́ніє и́мъ є́сть, земля́ же нечести́выхъ паде́тъ.

The dead shall rise, and they that are in the tombs shall be raised, and they that are in the earth shall rejoice: for the dew from thee is healing to them: but the land of the ungodly shall perish.

Иди́те, лю́діє мои́, вни́дите во хра́мину ва́шу, затвори́те две́ри своя́, укры́йтеся ма́ло єли́ко єли́ко, до́ндеже мимои́детъ гнѣ́въ Госпо́день.

Go, my people, enter into thy closets, shut thy door, hide thyself for a little season, until the anger of the Lord have passed away.

Се́ бо, Госпо́дь от свята́го [мѣ́ста] наво́дитъ гнѣ́въ на живу́щыя на земли́: и откры́єтъ земля́ кро́вь свою́ и не покры́єтъ избіє́ныхъ.

For, behold, the Lord is bringing wrath from his holy place upon the dwellers on the earth: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall not cover her slain.

Въ то́й де́нь наведе́тъ Госпо́дь ме́чь святы́й и вели́кій и крѣ́пкій на дра́конта змі́а бѣжа́ща, на дра́конта змі́а лука́ваго, и убіє́тъ дра́конта су́щаго въ мо́ри.

In that day God shall bring his holy and great and strong sword upon the dragon, even the serpent that flees, upon the dragon, the crooked serpent: he shall destroy the dragon.

Въ то́й де́нь віногра́дъ до́брый, жела́ніє пѣ́ти надъ ни́мъ:

In that day there shall be a fair vineyard, and a desire to commence a song concerning it.

а́зъ гра́дъ крѣ́пкій, гра́дъ вою́ємый, всу́є напою́ єго́: плѣне́нъ бо бу́детъ но́щію, въ де́нь же паде́тся стѣна́ єго́: нѣ́сть того́, и́же не во́зметъ єго́.

I am a strong city, a city in a siege: in vain shall I water it; for it shall be taken by night, and by day the wall shall fall.

Кто́ мя приста́витъ стрещи́ сте́бліє на ни́вѣ? ра́ди вражды́ сея́ отри́нухъ и́. У́бо сего́ ра́ди сотвори́ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ вся́, єли́ка совѣща́.

There is no woman that has not taken hold of it; who will set me to watch stubble in the field? because of this enemy I have set her aside; therefore on this account the Lord has done all that he appointed.

И сгорѣ́хъ, возопію́тъ живу́щіи въ не́мъ: сотвори́мъ ми́ръ єму́, сотвори́мъ ми́ръ,

I am burnt up; they that dwell in her shall cry, Let us make peace with him, let us make peace,

приходя́щая ча́да Іа́ковля: прозя́бнетъ и процвѣте́тъ Ізра́иль, и напо́лнится вселе́нная плода́ єго́.

they that are coming are the children of Jacob. Israel shall bud and blossom, and the world shall be filled with his fruit.

Єда́ я́коже то́й порази́, и са́мъ си́це уязви́тся? и я́коже са́мъ уби́, та́кожде убіє́нъ бу́детъ?

Shall he himself be thus smitten, even as he smote? and as he slew, shall he be thus slain?

Сваря́ся и укоря́я отпу́ститъ я́: не ты́ ли бы́лъ єси́ помышля́я ду́хомъ же́стокимъ, уби́ти я́ ду́хомъ я́рости?

Fighting and reproaching he will dismiss them; didst thou not meditate with a harsh spirit, to slay them with a wrathful spirit?

Сего́ ра́ди отъи́мется беззако́ніє Іа́ковле, и сіє́ є́сть благослове́ніє єго́, єгда́ отиму́ грѣ́хъ єго́, єгда́ положа́тъ все́ ка́меніє тре́бищъ сокруше́но а́ки пра́хъ дро́бный: и не пребу́дутъ древеса́ и́хъ, и кумі́ры и́хъ бу́дутъ посѣ́чени, а́ки дубра́ва дале́че.

Therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be taken away; and this is his blessing, when I shall have taken away his sin; when they shall have broken to pieces all the stones of the altars as fine dust, and their trees shall not remain, and their idols shall be cut off, as a thicket afar off.

Обита́ющеє ста́до отпуще́нно бу́детъ, а́ки ста́до оста́вленоє: и бу́детъ мно́го вре́мя въ па́жить, и та́мо почі́ютъ стада́.

The flock that dwelt there shall be left, as a deserted flock; and the ground shall be for a long time for pasture, and there shall flocks lie down to rest.

И по вре́мени не бу́детъ въ не́мъ вся́каго зла́ка, зане́же и́зсхнетъ: жены́ гряду́щыя съ позо́рища, пріиди́те: не су́ть бо лю́діє иму́ще смы́сла, сего́ ра́ди не уще́дритъ сотвори́вый я́, ниже́ созда́вый и́хъ поми́луєтъ.

And after a time there shall be in it no green thing because of the grass being parched. Come hither, ye women that come from a sight; for it is a people of no understanding; therefore he that made them shall have no pity upon them, and he that formed them shall have no mercy upon them.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, загради́тъ Госпо́дь от рове́нника рѣ́чнаго, да́же до рінокору́ры {Євр.: водоте́чи Єги́петскія.} [гра́да]: вы́ же собери́те сы́ны Ізра́илевы по єди́ному.

And it shall come to pass in that day that God shall fence men off from the channel of the river as far as Rhinocorura; but do ye gather one by one the children of Israel.

И бу́детъ въ то́й де́нь, востру́бятъ трубо́ю вели́кою, и пріи́дутъ погубля́єміи во странѣ́ Ассирі́йстѣй и погубля́єміи во Єги́птѣ, и покло́нятся Го́сподеви на горѣ́ святѣ́й во Ієрусали́мѣ.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that they shall blow the great trumpet, and the lost ones in the land of the Assyrians shall come, and the lost ones in Egypt, and shall worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

Го́ре вѣнцу́ горды́ни, наи́мницы Єфре́мовы, цвѣ́тъ отпады́й от сла́вы, на версѣ́ горы́ ту́чныя пія́ніи безъ віна́.

Woe to the crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, the flower that has fallen from the glory of the top of the fertile mountain, they that are drunken without wine.

Се́, крѣпка́ и же́стока я́рость Госпо́дня, а́ки гра́дъ низпуща́ємый не имы́й кро́ва, наси́льно низпуща́ємый: я́коже воды́ мно́гоє мно́жество влеку́щеє страну́, земли́ сотвори́тъ поко́й рука́ма,

Behold, the anger of the Lord is strong and severe, as descending hail where there is no shelter, violently descending; as a great body of water sweeping away the soil, he shall make rest for the land.

и нога́ма попере́тся вѣне́цъ горды́ни, наи́мницы Єфре́мовы.

The crown of pride, the hirelings of Ephraim, shall be beaten down with the hands and with the feet.

И бу́детъ цвѣ́тъ отпады́й от наде́жды сла́вы на версѣ́ горы́ высо́кія, а́ки ра́нній пло́дъ смо́квинъ: ви́дѣвый єго́, пре́жде взя́тія въ ру́цѣ свои́, восхо́щетъ поглоти́ти єго́.

And the fading flower of the glorious hope on the top of the high mountain shall be as the early fig; he that sees it, before he takes it into his hand, will desire to swallow it down.

Въ то́й де́нь бу́детъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ вѣне́цъ наде́жди, сплете́ный сла́вою оста́вшымся лю́демъ.

In that day the Lord of hosts shall be the crown of hope, the woven crown of glory, to the remnant of the people.

И оста́вятся ду́хомъ су́днымъ на су́дъ, и крѣ́пость возбраня́ющихъ погубля́ти.

They shall be left in the spirit of judgment for judgment, and for the strength of them that hinder slaying.

Сі́и бо віно́мъ су́ть прельще́ни: прельсти́шася Сіке́ры ра́ди, жре́цъ и проро́къ изступи́ша ума́ от Сіке́ры, поже́рты бы́ша віно́мъ, потрясо́шася от пія́нства Сіке́ры, прельсти́шася: сіє́ є́сть привидѣ́ніє.

For these have trespassed through wine; they have erred through strong drink: the priest and the prophet are mad through strong drink, they are swallowed up by reason of wine, they have staggered through drunkenness; they have erred: this is their vision.

Прокля́тіє поя́стъ се́й совѣ́тъ, се́й бо совѣ́тъ ра́ди лихои́мства.

A curse shall devour this counsel, for this is their counsel for the sake of covetousness.

Кому́ возвѣсти́хомъ зла́я и кому́ повѣ́дахомъ вѣ́сть? и́же отдоє́ніи [су́ть] от млека́, отто́рженніи от сосца́.

To whom have we reported evils? and to whom have we reported a message? even to those that are weaned from the milk, who are drawn from the breast.

Печа́ли на печа́ль ожида́й, наде́жды къ наде́жди, єще́ ма́ло, єще́ ма́ло,

Expect thou affliction on affliction, hope upon hope: yet a little, and yet a little,

я́ко ху́достію усте́нъ, язы́комъ ины́мъ возглаго́лютъ лю́демъ си́мъ, реку́ще и́мъ:

by reason of the contemptuous words of the lips, by means of another language: for they shall speak to this people, saying to them,

се́й поко́й а́лчному и сіє́ сокруше́ніє, и не восхотѣ́ша слы́шати.

This is the rest to him that is hungry, and this is the calamity: but they would not hear.

И бу́детъ и́мъ сло́во Го́спода Бо́га, печа́ль къ печа́ли, наде́жда къ наде́жди, єще́ ма́ло, єще́ ма́ло, да и́дутъ и паду́тся вспя́ть и въ бѣду́ впаду́тъ, и сокруша́тся и плѣне́ни бу́дутъ.

Therefore the oracle of God shall be to them affliction on affliction, hope on hope, yet a little, and yet a little, that they may go and fall backward; and they shall be crushed and shall be in danger, and shall be taken.

Сего́ ра́ди услы́шите сло́во Госпо́дне, му́жіє озло́бленніи и кня́зи люді́й су́щихъ во Ієрусали́мѣ.

Therefore hear ye the word of the Lord, ye afflicted men, and ye princes of this people that is in Jerusalem.

Я́ко реко́сте: сотвори́хомъ завѣ́тъ со а́домъ и со сме́ртію сложе́ніє: бу́ря носи́ма а́ще мимои́детъ, не пріи́детъ на на́съ: положи́хомъ лжу́ наде́жду на́шу и лже́ю покры́ємся.

Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with Hades, and agreements with death; if the rushing storm should pass, it shall not come upon us: we have made falsehood our hope, and by falsehood shall we be protected:

Сего́ ра́ди та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ полага́ю во основа́ніє Сіо́ну ка́мень многоцѣ́ненъ, избра́нъ, краєуго́ленъ, че́стенъ, во основа́ніє єму́, и вѣ́руяй въ о́нь не постыди́тся:

therefore thus saith the Lord, even the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Sion a costly stone, a choice, a corner-stone, a precious stone, for its foundations; and he that believes on him shall by no means be ashamed.

и положу́ су́дъ въ наде́жду, ми́лость же моя́ на мѣ́рилѣхъ, и упова́вшіи вотще́ на лжу́, я́ко не мине́тъ ва́съ бу́ря:

And I will cause judgment to be for hope, and my compassion shall be for just measures, and ye that trust vainly in falsehood shall fall: for the storm shall by no means pass by you,

и не отъи́метъ от ва́съ завѣ́та сме́ртнаго, и наде́жда ва́ша, я́же ко а́ду, не пребу́детъ. Бу́ря иду́щая а́ще на́йдетъ, бу́дете є́й въ попра́ніє:

except it also take away your covenant of death, and your trust in Hades shall by no means stand: if the rushing storm should come upon you, ye shall be beaten down by it.

єгда́ мимои́детъ, во́зметъ ва́съ: я́ко по вся́ко у́тро преходи́ти бу́детъ въ де́нь, и въ нощи́ бу́детъ наде́жда зла́. Научи́теся слы́шати, утѣсня́єміи:

Whenever it shall pass by, it shall take you; morning by morning it shall pass by in the day, and in the night there shall be an evil hope. Learn to hear,

не мо́жемъ ра́товати, са́ми же изнемога́ємъ, є́же собра́тися на́мъ.

ye that are distressed; we cannot fight, but we are ourselves too weak for you to be gathered.

Я́коже гора́ на нечести́выхъ воста́нетъ Госпо́дь, и бу́детъ [я́коже] въ де́бри гавао́нстѣй, съ я́ростію сотвори́тъ дѣла́ своя́, го́рести дѣ́ло: я́рость же єго́ чу́ждо употреби́тся, и погубле́ніє єго́ стра́нно.

The Lord shall rise up as a mountain of ungodly men, and shall be in the valley of Gabaon; he shall perform his works with wrath, even a work of bitterness, and his wrath shall deal strangely, and his destruction shall be strange.

И вы́ не ра́дуйтеся, ниже́ да возмо́гутъ ва́ши у́зы: зане́ сконча́ны и сокраще́ны ве́щи слы́шахъ от Го́спода Савао́ѳа, я́же сотвори́тъ надъ все́ю земле́ю.

Therefore do not ye rejoice, neither let your bands be made strong; for I have heard of works finished and cut short by the Lord of hosts, which he will execute upon all the earth.

Внуши́те и слы́шите гла́съ мо́й, внемли́те и слы́шите словеса́ моя́.

Hearken, and hear my voice; attend, and hear my words.

Єда́ ве́сь де́нь бу́детъ оря́й ора́ти? или́ сѣ́мя угото́витъ пре́жде воздѣ́ланія земли́?

Will the ploughman plough all the day? or will he prepare the seed beforehand, before he tills the ground?

Не єгда́ ли умягчи́тъ {уравни́тъ} лице́ єя́, тогда́ всѣ́єтъ ма́ло черну́хи и кимі́на, пото́мъ же сѣ́єтъ пшени́цу и ячме́нь и про́со въ предѣ́лѣхъ твои́хъ?

Does he not, when he has levelled the surface thereof, then sow the small black poppy, or cumin, and afterward sow wheat, and barley, and millet, and bread-corn in thy borders?

И научи́шися суду́ Бо́га твоєго́ и возра́дуєшися.

So thou shalt be chastened by the judgment of thy God, and shalt rejoice.

И́бо не съ же́стокостію очища́єтся черну́ха, ниже́ ко́ло колесни́чноє обы́детъ кимі́на, но жезло́мъ истряса́єтся черну́ха, кимі́нъ же со хлѣ́бомъ снѣ́стся.

For the black poppy is not cleansed with harsh treatment, nor will a waggon-wheel pass over the cumin; but the black poppy is threshed with a rod, and the cumin shall be eaten with bread;

Не во вѣ́къ бо а́зъ разгнѣ́ваюся на вы́, ниже́ гла́съ гнѣ́ва моєго́ попере́тъ ва́съ.

for I will not be wroth with you for ever, neither shall the voice of my anger crush you.

И сія́ от Го́спода Савао́ѳа изыдо́ша чудеса́: совѣ́туйте, вознеси́те тще́тноє утѣше́ніє.

And these signs came forth from the Lord of hosts. Take counsel, exalt vain comfort.

Го́ре гра́ду Аріи́лу, на́ньже даві́дъ воєва́. Собери́те жи́та от го́да до го́да, снѣ́сте бо вку́пѣ съ Моа́вомъ:

Alas for the city Ariel, which David besieged. Gather ye fruits year by year; eat ye, for ye shall eat with Moab.

озло́блю бо Аріи́ла, и бу́детъ крѣ́пость єго́ и бога́тство мнѣ́:

For I will grievously afflict Ariel: and her strength and her wealth shall be mine.

и обся́ду тя́ а́ки даві́дъ, и поста́влю о́крестъ тебе́ остро́гъ, и согражду́ столпы́.

And I will compass thee about like David, and will raise a mound about thee, and set up towers round thee.

И смиря́тся словеса́ твоя́ до земли́, и въ зе́млю вни́дутъ словеса́ твоя́: и бу́детъ гла́съ тво́й а́ки глася́щихъ от земли́, и ко земли́ изнемо́жетъ гла́съ тво́й.

And thy words shall be brought down to the earth, and thy words shall sink down to the earth, and thy voice shall be as they that speak out of the earth, and thy voice shall be lowered to the ground.

И бу́детъ я́ко пе́рсть от колесе́ бога́тство нечести́выхъ, и а́ки пра́хъ летя́й мно́жество утѣсня́ющихъ тя́, и бу́детъ а́ки черта́ внеза́пу от Го́спода Савао́ѳа.

But the wealth of the ungodly shall be as dust from a wheel, and the multitude of them that oppress thee as flying chaff, and it shall be suddenly as a moment,

Присѣще́ніє бо бу́детъ со гро́момъ и съ тру́сомъ и гла́сомъ вели́кимъ, бу́ря несо́ма и пла́мень о́гненный пояда́яй.

from the Lord of hosts: for there shall be a visitation with thunder, and earthquake, and a loud noise, a rushing tempest, and devouring flame of fire.

И бу́детъ а́ки со́ніє ви́дяй во снѣ́ но́щію, бога́тство всѣ́хъ язы́ковъ, єли́цы воєва́ша на Аріи́ла, и вси́, и́же воєва́ша на Ієрусали́ма, и вси́ со́бранніи на́нь и озлобля́ющіи єго́.

And the wealth of all the nations together, as many as have fought against Ariel, and all they that war against Jerusalem, and all who are gathered against her, and they that distress her, shall be as one that dreams in sleep by night.

И бу́дутъ а́ки во снѣ́ яду́щіи и пію́щіи, и воста́вшымъ, то́щь и́хъ со́нъ: и я́коже во снѣ́ жа́ждай а́ки пія́й, воспряну́въ же єще́ жа́ждетъ, душа́ же єго́ вотще́ надѣ́яся: та́ко бу́детъ бога́тство всѣ́хъ язы́ковъ, єли́цы воєва́ша на го́ру Сіо́ню.

And as men drink and eat in sleep, and when they have arisen, the dream is vain: and as a thirsty man dreams as if he drank, and having arisen is still thirsty, and his soul has desired in vain: so shall be the wealth of all the nations, as many as have fought against the mount Sion.

Разслабѣ́йте и ужасни́теся, и упі́йтеся не Сіке́ромъ, ни віно́мъ,

Faint ye, and be amazed, and be overpowered, not with strong drink nor with wine.

я́ко напои́ ва́съ Госпо́дь ду́хомъ умиле́нія, и смежи́тъ о́чи и́хъ и проро́ковъ и́хъ и князе́й и́хъ, ви́дящихъ сокрове́нная.

For the Lord has made you to drink a spirit of deep sleep; and he shall close their eyes, and the eyes of their prophets and of their rulers, who see secret things.

И бу́дутъ ва́мъ вся́ сія́ словеса́, а́ки словеса́ кни́ги запечатлѣ́нныя сея́, ю́же а́ще даду́тъ человѣ́ку вѣ́дущему писа́нія, глаго́люще: прочти́ сіє́. И рече́тъ: не могу́ прочести́, запечатлѣ́нна бо.

And all these things shall be to you as the words of this sealed book, which if they shall give to a learned man, saying, Read this, he shall then say, I cannot read it, for it is sealed.

И да́стся кни́га сія́ въ ру́цѣ человѣ́ку не вѣ́дущему писа́нія, и рече́тся єму́: прочти́ сіє́. И рече́тъ: не вѣ́мъ писа́нія.

And this book shall be given into the hands of a man that is unlearned, and one shall say to him, Read this; and he shall say, I am not learned.

И рече́ Госпо́дь: приближа́ются мнѣ́ лю́діє сі́и усты́ свои́ми и устна́ми свои́ми почита́ютъ мя́, се́рдце же и́хъ дале́че отстои́тъ от мене́: всу́є же почита́ютъ мя́, уча́ще за́повѣдемъ человѣ́ческимъ и уче́ніємъ.

And the Lord has said, This people draw nigh to me with their mouth, and they honour me with their lips, but their heart is far from me: but in vain do they worship me, teaching the commandments and doctrines of men.

Сего́ ра́ди се́, а́зъ приложу́, є́же пресели́ти лю́ди сія́, и преста́влю я́, и погублю́ прему́дрость прему́дрыхъ и ра́зумъ разу́мныхъ сокры́ю.

Therefore behold I will proceed to remove this people, and I will remove them: and I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will hide the understanding of the prudent.

Го́ре творя́щымъ глубо́ко совѣ́тъ, а не Го́сподемъ: го́ре въ та́йнѣ совѣ́тъ творя́щымъ, и бу́дутъ во тмѣ́ дѣла́ и́хъ, и реку́тъ: кто́ ны ви́дѣ, и кто́ ны уразумѣ́єтъ, я́же мы́ твори́мъ?

Woe to them that deepen their counsel, and not by the Lord. Woe to them that take secret counsel, and whose works are in darkness, and they say, Who has seen us? and who shall know us, or what we do?

Не я́коже ли бре́ніє скуде́льника вмѣните́ся? Єда́ рече́тъ зда́ніє созда́вшему є́: не ты́ мя́ созда́лъ єси́? или́ творе́ніє сотво́ршему: не разу́мно мя́ сотвори́лъ єси́?

Shall ye not be counted as clay of the potter? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Thou didst not form me? or the work to the maker, Thou hast not made me wisely?

Не єще́ ли ма́ло, и приложи́тся Ліва́нъ, а́ки гора́ херме́ль, и херме́ль въ дубра́ву вмѣни́тся?

Is it not yet a little while, and Libanus shall be changed as the mountain of Chermel, and Chermel shall be reckoned as a forest?

И услы́шатъ въ де́нь о́ный глусі́и словеса́ кни́ги [сея́], и и́же во тмѣ́ и и́же во мглѣ́ о́чи слѣпы́хъ у́зрятъ.

And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and they that are in darkness, and they that are in mist: the eyes of the blind shall see,

И возра́дуются ни́щіи ра́ди Го́спода въ весе́ліи, и отча́явшіися человѣ́цы испо́лнятся весе́лія.

and the poor shall rejoice with joy because of the Lord, and they that had no hope among men shall be filled with joy.

Исчезе́ беззако́нникъ, и поги́бе го́рдый, и потреби́шася вси́ беззако́ннующіи во зло́бѣ

The lawless man has come to nought, and the proud man has perished, and they that transgress mischievously have been utterly destroyed:

и творя́щіи согрѣша́ти человѣ́ки во сло́вѣ: всѣ́мъ же облича́ющымъ во вратѣ́хъ претыка́ніє положа́тъ, поне́же соврати́ша въ непра́вдахъ пра́веднаго.

and they that cause men to sin by a word: and men shall make all that reprove in the gates an offence, because they have unjustly turned aside the righteous.

Сего́ ра́ди та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь на до́мъ Іа́ковль, єго́же опредѣли́ от Авраа́ма: не ны́нѣ постыди́тся Іа́ковъ, ниже́ ны́нѣ лице́ своє́ измѣни́тъ Ізра́иль:

Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the house of Jacob, whom he set apart from Abraam, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall he now change countenance.

но єгда́ уви́дятъ ча́да и́хъ дѣла́ моя́, мене́ ра́ди освятя́тъ и́мя моє́ и освятя́тъ свята́го Іа́ковля, и Бо́га Ізра́илева убоя́тся.

But when their children shall have seen my works, they shall sanctify my name for my sake, and they shall sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

И уразумѣ́ютъ заблужда́ющіи ду́хомъ смы́слъ, и ро́пщущіи науча́тся послу́шати, и язы́цы нѣмотству́ющіи науча́тся глаго́лати ми́ръ.

And they that erred in spirit shall know understanding, and the murmurers shall learn obedience, and the stammering tongues shall learn to speak peace.

Го́ре, ча́да отступи́вшая, сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: сотвори́сте совѣ́тъ не мно́ю и завѣ́ты не Ду́хомъ мои́мъ, приложи́ти грѣхи́ ко грѣхо́мъ:

Woe to the apostate children, saith the Lord: ye have framed counsel, not by me, and covenants not by my Spirit, to add sins to sins:

иду́щіи сни́ти во Єги́петъ, мене́ же не вопроси́ша, є́же по́мощь имѣ́ти от фарао́на и заступле́ніє от Єги́птянъ.

even they that proceed to go down into Egypt, but they have not enquired of me, that they might be helped by Pharao, and protected by the Egyptians.

Бу́детъ бо ва́мъ покро́въ фарао́новъ въ постыдѣ́ніє и упова́ющымъ на Єги́петъ укори́зна:

For the protection of Pharao shall be to you a disgrace, and there shall be a reproach to them that trust in Egypt.

я́ко су́ть въ та́нѣ старѣ́йшины єго́, и вѣ́стницы єго́ зли́.

For there are princes in Tanes, evil messengers.

Вотще́ потрудя́тся люді́й ра́ди, и́же не упо́льзуютъ и́хъ, ниже́ на по́мощь, ниже́ на по́льзу, но на сту́дъ и на укори́зну.

In vain shall they labour in seeking to a people, which shall not profit them for help, but shall be for a shame and reproach.

Видѣ́ніє четвероно́гихъ, и́же въ пусты́ни. Въ печа́ли и въ тѣснотѣ́ ле́въ и льви́чищь: отту́ду а́спіды и пле́мя а́спідовъ паря́щихъ, и́же везя́ху на ослѣ́хъ и на велблю́дѣхъ бога́тство своє́ ко язы́ку, и́же не помо́жетъ и́мъ въ по́мощь, но на сту́дъ и укори́зну.

The Vision of the Quadrupeds in the Desert. In affliction and distress, where are the lion and lion's whelp, thence come also asps, and the young of flying asps, there shall they be who bore their wealth on asses and camels to a nation which shall not profit them.

Єги́птяне вотще́ и всу́є успѣ́ютъ ва́мъ: возвѣсти́ и́мъ, я́ко тще́тно утѣше́ніє ва́ше сіє́.

The Egyptians shall help you utterly in vain: tell them, This your consolation is vain.

Ны́нѣ у́бо сѣ́дъ напиши́ сія́ на дскѣ́ и въ кни́гу: я́ко бу́дутъ сія́ во дни́ време́нъ и да́же до вѣ́ка.

Now then sit down and write these words on a tablet, and in a book; for these things shall be for many long days, and even for ever.

Я́ко лю́діє непокори́ви су́ть, сы́нове лжи́віи, и́же не похотѣ́ша слы́шати зако́на Бо́жія,

For the people is disobedient, false children, who would not hear the law of God:

глаго́люще проро́комъ: не повѣ́дайте на́мъ: и видѣ́нія ви́дящымъ: не глаго́лите на́мъ, но на́мъ глаго́лите и возвѣща́йте на́мъ ино́є прельще́ніє

who say to the prophets, Report not to us; and to them that see visions, Speak them not to us, but speak and report to us another error;

и соврати́те на́съ съ пути́ сего́: отими́те от на́съ пу́ть се́й и отими́те от на́съ су́дъ Ізра́илевъ {Євр.: свято́є Ізра́илево.}.

and turn us aside from this way; remove from us this path, and remove from us the oracle of Israel.

Того́ ра́ди си́це глаго́летъ Госпо́дь святы́й Ізра́илевъ: поне́же не покори́стеся словесе́мъ си́мъ и надѣ́ястеся на лжу́, и я́ко поропта́сте и упова́юще бы́сте на сло́во сіє́,

Therefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye have refused to obey these words, and have trusted in falsehood; and because thou hast murmured, and been confident in this respect:

сего́ ра́ди бу́детъ ва́мъ грѣ́хъ се́й, а́ки стѣна́ па́дающая внеза́пу гра́да тве́рда плѣне́на, єго́же а́біє настои́тъ паде́ніє:

therefore shall this sin be to you as a wall suddenly falling when a strong city has been taken, of which the fall is very near at hand.

и паде́ніє єго́ бу́детъ я́ко сокруше́ніє сосу́да гли́няна, от гли́ны дро́бны, я́ко не мо́жно обрѣсти́ въ ни́хъ чре́па, и́мже о́гнь во́змеши и въ о́ньже вліє́ши воды́ ма́ло.

And the fall thereof shall be as the breaking of an earthen vessel, as small fragments of a pitcher, so that thou shouldest not find among them a sherd, with which thou mightest take up fire, and with which thou shouldest draw a little water.

Та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь, Госпо́дь святы́й Ізра́илевъ: єгда́ возврати́вся воздо́хнеши, тогда́ спасе́шися и уразумѣ́єши, гдѣ́ єси́ бы́лъ: єгда́ упова́лъ єси́ на су́єтная, тще́тна крѣ́пость ва́ша бы́сть, и не хотѣ́сте послу́шати,

Thus saith the Lord, the Holy Lord of Israel; When thou shalt turn and mourn, then thou shalt be saved; and thou shalt know where thou wast, when thou didst trust in vanities: then your strength became vain, yet ye would not hearken:

но реко́сте: на ко́нехъ побѣ́гнемъ. Того́ ра́ди побѣ́гнете. И реко́сте: на ле́гкихъ вса́дницы бу́демъ. Того́ ра́ди ле́гцы бу́дутъ гоня́щіи ва́съ.

but ye said, We will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will be aided by swift riders; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.

От гла́са єди́наго побѣ́гнутъ ты́сяща, и от гла́са пяти́ побѣ́гнутъ мно́зи, до́ндеже оста́влени бу́дете а́ки що́гла на горѣ́ и я́ко зна́мя нося́й на холмѣ́.

A thousand shall flee because of the voice of one, and many shall flee on account of the voice of five; until ye be left as a signal-post upon a mountain, and as one bearing an ensign upon a hill.

И па́ки пожде́тъ Бо́гъ, є́же уще́дрити ва́съ, и сего́ ра́ди вознесе́тся є́же поми́ловати ва́съ: зане́ судія́ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ ва́шъ є́сть, и гдѣ́ оста́вите сла́ву ва́шу? блаже́ни вси́ пребыва́ющіи въ не́мъ.

And the Lord will again wait, that he may pity you, and will therefore be exalted that he may have mercy upon you: because the Lord your God is a judge: blessed are they that stay themselves upon him.

Зане́ лю́діє святі́и въ Сіо́нѣ вселя́тся, Ієрусали́мъ же пла́чемъ воспла́кася: поми́луй мя́. Поми́луєтъ тя́, єгда́ узрѣ́ гла́съ во́пля твоєго́, послу́ша тебе́.

For the holy people shall dwell in Sion: and whereas Jerusalem has wept bitterly, saying, Pity me; he shall pity thee: when he perceived the voice of thy cry, he hearkened to thee.

И да́стъ Госпо́дь ва́мъ хлѣ́бъ печа́ли и во́ду тѣ́сную, и ктому́ не прибли́жатся къ тебѣ́ льстя́щіи тя́: я́ко о́чи твои́ у́зрятъ прельща́ющихъ тя́,

And though the Lord shall give you the bread of affliction and scant water, yet they that cause thee to err shall no more at all draw nigh to thee; for thine eyes shall see those that cause thee to err,

и ушеса́ твоя́ услы́шатъ словеса́ созади́ тебе́ прельща́ющихъ, и́же глаго́лютъ: се́й пу́ть, поиди́мъ по нему́ или́ на де́сно, или́ на лѣ́во.

and thine ears shall hear the words of them that went after thee to lead thee astray, who say, This is the way, let us walk in it, whether to the right or to the left.

И отве́ржеши кумі́ры посре́бренныя, и позлаще́нныя раздроби́ши, и развѣ́єши я́ко во́ду жены́ мѣ́сячныя, и а́ки моты́ла отве́ржеши я́.

And thou shalt pollute the plated idols, and thou shalt grind to powder the gilt ones, and shalt scatter them as the water of a removed woman, and thou shalt thrust them forth as dung.

Тогда́ бу́детъ до́ждь сѣ́мени земли́ твоєя́, и хлѣ́бъ жи́та земли́ твоєя́ бу́детъ изоби́ленъ и ту́ченъ, и напасу́тся ско́ти твои́ въ то́й де́нь на мѣ́стѣ ту́чнѣ и простра́ннѣ.

Then shall there be rain to the seed of thy land; and the bread of the fruit of thy land shall be plenteous and rich: and thy cattle shall feed in that day in a fertile and spacious place.

Юнцы́ ва́ши и воло́ве дѣ́лающіи зе́млю наядя́тся пле́въ смѣ́шенныхъ со ячме́немъ извѣ́янымъ.

Your bulls and your oxen that till the ground, shall eat chaff mixed with winnowed barley.

И бу́детъ на вся́цѣй горѣ́ высо́цѣ и на вся́цѣмъ хо́лмѣ вознесе́ннѣ вода́ теку́щая въ де́нь о́ный, єгда́ поги́бнутъ мно́зи, и єгда́ паду́тся столпи́:

And there shall be upon every lofty mountain and upon every high hill, water running in that day, when many shall perish, and when the towers shall fall.

и бу́детъ свѣ́тъ луны́ а́ки свѣ́тъ со́лнца, и свѣ́тъ со́лнечный бу́детъ седмери́цею въ то́й де́нь, єгда́ исцѣли́тъ Госпо́дь сокруше́ніє люді́й свои́хъ и болѣ́знь я́звы твоєя́ исцѣли́тъ.

And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold in the day when the Lord shall heal the breach of his people, and shall heal the pain of thy wound.

Се́, и́мя Госпо́дне и́детъ вре́менемъ мно́гимъ, горя́щая я́рость єго́: со сла́вою сло́во усте́нъ єго́, сло́во гнѣ́ва по́лно, и гнѣ́въ я́рости я́ко о́гнь поя́стъ:

Behold, the name of the Lord comes after a long time, burning wrath: the word of his lips is with glory, a word full of anger, and the anger of his wrath shall devour as fire.

и ду́хъ єго́ а́ки вода́ въ де́бри влеку́щи пріи́детъ да́же до вы́и и раздѣли́тся, є́же смути́ти язы́ки о прельще́ніи су́єтнѣмъ, и пожене́тъ я́ пре́лесть тща́, и во́зметъ я́ предъ лице́мъ и́хъ.

And his breath, as rushing water in a valley, shall reach as far as the neck, and be divided, to confound the nations for their vain error: error also shall pursue them, and overtake them.

Єда́ при́сно подоба́єтъ ва́мъ ра́доватися и входи́ти во свята́я моя́ всегда́, а́ки пра́зднующымъ и я́ко веселя́щымся вни́ти со сопѣ́лію въ го́ру Госпо́дню къ Бо́гу Ізра́илеву?

Must ye always rejoice, and go into my holy places continually, as they that keep a feast? and must ye go with a pipe, as those that rejoice, into the mountain of the Lord, to the God of Israel?

И слы́шану сотвори́тъ Госпо́дь сла́ву гла́са своєго́, и я́рость мы́шцы своєя́ показа́ти, съ я́ростію и гнѣ́вомъ, и со пла́менемъ пояда́ющимъ возгреми́тъ зѣ́лно, и я́ко вода́ и гра́дъ низходя́щь ну́ждею.

And the Lord shall make his glorious voice to be heard, and the wrath of his arm, to make a display with wrath and anger and devouring flame: he shall lighten terribly, and his wrath shall be as water and violent hail.

Гла́сомъ бо Госпо́днимъ побѣжде́ни бу́дутъ Ассирі́ане я́звою, є́юже а́ще порази́тъ я́.

For by the voice of the Lord the Assyrians shall be overcome, even by the stroke wherewith he shall smite them.

И бу́детъ єму́ о́крестъ, отону́дуже бѣ́ и́хъ наде́жда по́мощи, на ню́же то́й упова́ше: ті́и со тимпа́ны и гу́сльми ра́товати бу́дутъ на́нь от премѣне́нія.

And it shall happen to him from every side, that they from whom their hope of assistance was, in which he trusted, themselves shall war against him in turn with drums and with harp.

Ты́ бо пре́жде дні́й истя́занъ бу́деши: єда́ и тебѣ́ угото́вася ца́рствовати? де́брь глубо́кую, древеса́ лежа́ща, о́гнь и древа́ мно́га, я́рость Госпо́дня а́ки де́брь жу́пеломъ горя́щая.

For thou shalt be required before thy time: has it been prepared for thee also to reign? nay, God has prepared for thee a deep trench, wood piled, fire and much wood: the wrath of the Lord shall be as a trench kindled with sulphur.

Го́ре сходя́щымъ во Єги́петъ по́мощи ра́ди, упова́ющымъ на ко́ни и на колесни́цы: су́ть бо мно́га, и ко́нническоє мно́жество мно́го зѣло́: и не бѣ́ша упова́юще на свята́го Ізра́илева, и Бо́га не взыска́ша.

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help, who trust in horses and chariots, for they are many; and in horses, which are a great multitude; and have not trusted in the Holy One of Israel, and have not sought the Lord.

То́йже прему́дрѣ наведе́ на ни́хъ зла́я, и сло́во єго́ не отри́нется, и воста́нетъ на до́мы человѣ́ковъ злы́хъ и на наде́жду и́хъ тще́тную,

Therefore he has wisely brought evils upon them, and his word shall not be frustrated; and he shall rise up against the houses of wicked men, and against their vain hope,

Єги́птянина человѣ́ка, а не Бо́га, ко́нски пло́ти, и не бу́детъ по́мощи: Госпо́дь же наведе́тъ ру́ку свою́ на ня́, и утрудя́тся помага́ющіи, и вси́ вку́пѣ поги́бнутъ.

even an Egyptian, a man, and not God; the flesh of horses, and there is no help in them: but the Lord shall bring his hand upon them, and the helpers shall fail, and all shall perish together.

Зане́же та́ко рече́ мнѣ́ Госпо́дь: я́коже возреве́тъ ле́въ, или́ льви́чищь о лови́твѣ, ю́же и́метъ, и возопіє́тъ надъ не́ю, до́ндеже напо́лнятся го́ры гла́са єго́, и побѣди́шася и мно́жества я́рости убоя́шася: та́ко Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ сни́детъ на го́ру Сіо́ню и на го́ры єго́ воєва́ти.

For thus said the Lord to me, As a lion would roar, or a lion's whelp over prey which he has taken, and cry over it, until the mountains are filled with his voice, and the animals are awe-struck and tremble at the fierceness of his wrath: so the Lord of hosts shall descend to fight upon the mount Sion, even upon her mountains.

Я́коже пти́цы паря́щыя, си́це защи́титъ Госпо́дь Савао́ѳъ о Ієрусали́мѣ, защи́титъ и изба́витъ, и снабди́тъ и спасе́тъ.

As birds flying, so shall the Lord of hosts defend; he shall defend Jerusalem, and he shall rescue, and save and deliver.

Обрати́теся, совѣщава́ющіи глубо́къ совѣ́тъ и беззако́ненъ, сы́нове Ізра́илевы:

Turn, ye children of Israel, who devise a deep and sinful counsel.

я́ко въ то́й де́нь отве́ргутъ человѣ́цы рукотворе́нная своя́ сре́бряная и рукотворе́нная злата́я, я́же сотвори́ша ру́ки и́хъ.

For in that day men shall renounce their silver idols and their golden idols, which their hands made.

И паде́тъ Ассу́ръ не мече́мъ человѣ́ческимъ, ни ме́чь му́жескій поя́стъ єго́, и побѣ́гнетъ не от лица́ меча́: ю́ноты же бу́дутъ въ побѣжде́ніє.

And the Assyrian shall fall: not the sword of a great man, nor the sword of a mean man shall devour him; neither shall he flee from the face of the sword: but the young men shall be overthrown:

Ка́меніємъ бо объи́мутся я́ко остро́гомъ и побѣжде́ни бу́дутъ, а бѣжа́й плѣне́нъ бу́детъ. Сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: [блаже́нъ,] и́же имѣ́єтъ пле́мя въ Сіо́нѣ и ю́жики во Ієрусали́мѣ.

for they shall be compassed with rocks as with a trench, and shall be worsted; and he that flees shall be taken. Thus saith the Lord, Blessed is he that has a seed in Sion, and household friends in Jerusalem.

Се́ бо, Ца́рь пра́ведный воцари́тся, и кня́зи со судо́мъ владѣ́ти начну́тъ.

For, behold, a righteous king shall reign, and princes shall govern with judgment.

И бу́детъ человѣ́къ сокрыва́яй словеса́ своя́, и скры́єтся, а́ки от воды́ носи́мыя: и яви́тся въ Сіо́нѣ я́ко рѣка́ теку́щая сла́вная въ земли́ жа́ждущей.

And a man shall hide his words, and be hidden, as from rushing water, and shall appear in Sion as a rushing river, glorious in a thirsty land.

И ксему́ не бу́дутъ упова́юще на человѣ́ки, но у́шы вдадя́тъ на слы́шаніє,

And they shall no more trust in men, but they shall incline their ears to hear.

и се́рдце изнемо́гшихъ во́нметъ послу́шати, и язы́цы нѣмотству́ющіи ско́ро науча́тся глаго́лати ми́ръ:

And the heart of the weak ones shall attend to hear, and the stammering tongues shall soon learn to speak peace.

и ксему́ не реку́тъ юро́дивому владѣ́ти, и ксему́ не реку́тъ слуги́ твои́: молчи́.

And they shall no more at all tell a fool to rule, and thy servants shall no more at all say, Be silent.

Юро́дъ бо юро́дивая изрѣче́тъ, и се́рдце єго́ тще́тная уразумѣ́єтъ, є́же соверша́ти беззако́нная и глаго́лати на Го́спода пре́лесть, є́же растли́ти ду́шы а́лчныя и ду́шы жа́ждущыя тщы́ сотвори́ти.

For the fool shall speak foolish words, and his heart shall meditate vanities, and to perform lawless deeds and to speak error against the Lord, to scatter hungry souls, and he will cause the thirsty souls to be empty.

Совѣ́тъ бо злы́хъ беззако́нная совѣщава́єтъ, растли́ти смире́нныя словесы́ непра́ведными и разсы́пати словеса́ смире́нныхъ на судѣ́.

For the counsel of the wicked will devise iniquity, to destroy the poor with unjust words, and ruin the cause of the poor in judgment.

Благочести́віи же смы́сленнѣ совѣща́ша, и то́й совѣ́тъ пребу́детъ.

But the godly have devised wise measures, and this counsel shall stand.

Жены́ бога́тыя, воста́ните и услы́шите гла́съ мо́й: дще́ри, съ наде́ждею слы́шите словеса́ моя́:

Rise up, ye rich women, and hear my voice; ye confident daughters, hearken to my words.

дня́ лѣ́тняго па́мять сотвори́те въ болѣ́зни съ наде́ждею: потреби́ся объима́ніє ві́нноє, преста́ сѣ́яніє, и [собира́ніє] ктому́ не пріи́детъ.

Remember for a full year in pain, yet with hope: the vintage has been cut off, it has ceased, it shall by no means come again.

Ужасни́теся, сжа́литеся, упова́вшыя, совлецы́теся, на́ги бу́дите, препоя́шите чре́сла своя́ во вре́тища

Be amazed, be pained, ye confident ones: strip you, bare yourselves, gird your loins;

и въ пе́рси бі́йтеся о селѣ́ жела́ємѣмъ и о віногра́днѣмъ рожде́ніи.

and beat on your breasts, because of the pleasant field, and the fruit of the vine.

На земли́ люді́й мои́хъ те́рніє и бы́ліє возни́кнетъ, и от всего́ до́му ра́дость восхи́тится: гра́дъ бога́тъ,

As for the land of my people, the thorn and grass shall come upon it, and joy shall be removed from every house.

до́мове оста́вленніи, бога́тство гра́да и до́мы вожделѣ́нія оста́вятъ: и бу́дутъ ве́си пеще́ры до вѣ́ка, ра́дость осло́мъ ди́віимъ, па́ствы пастухо́въ:

As for the rich city, the houses are deserted; they shall abandon the wealth of the city, and the pleasant houses: and the villages shall be caves for ever, the joy of wild asses, shepherds' pastures;

до́ндеже на́йдетъ на ны́ Ду́хъ от вы́шняго, и бу́детъ пусты́ня въ херме́ль, а херме́ль въ дубра́ву вмѣни́тся.

until the Spirit shall come upon you from on high, and Chermel shall be desert, and Chermel shall be counted for a forest.

И почі́єтъ въ пусты́ни су́дъ, и пра́вда въ карми́лѣ всели́тся:

Then judgment shall abide in the wilderness, and righteousness shall dwell in Carmel.

и бу́дутъ дѣла́ пра́вды ми́ръ, и одержи́тъ пра́вда поко́й, и упова́юще бу́дутъ до вѣ́ка:

And the works of righteousness shall be peace; and righteousness shall ensure rest, and the righteous shall be confident for ever.

и вселя́тся лю́діє єго́ во гра́дѣ ми́ра и обита́ти бу́дутъ упова́юще, и почі́ютъ съ бога́тствомъ.

And his people shall inhabit a city of peace, and dwell in it in confidence, and they shall rest with wealth.

Гра́дъ же, а́ще сни́детъ, то́ не на вы́ пріи́детъ: и бу́дутъ живу́щіи въ дубра́вахъ упова́юще, я́коже су́щіи на поля́хъ.

And if the hail should come down, it shall not come upon you; and they that dwell in the forests shall be in confidence, as those in the plain country.

Блаже́ни сѣ́ющіи при вся́цѣй водѣ́, идѣ́же во́лъ и осе́лъ попира́єтъ.

Blessed are they that sow by every water, where the ox and ass tread.

Го́ре оби́дящымъ ва́съ! ва́съ никто́же изоби́дитъ, и отверга́яй ва́съ не отве́ржетъ: плѣне́ни бу́дутъ отмета́ющіи [ва́съ] и предадя́тся, и я́ко мо́ліє въ ри́зѣ, та́ко побѣжде́ни бу́дутъ.

Woe to them that afflict you; but no one makes you miserable: and he that deals perfidiously with you does not deal perfidiously: they that deal perfidiously shall be taken and given up, and as a moth on a garment, so shall they be spoiled.

Го́споди, поми́луй ны́, на тя́ бо упова́хомъ: бы́сть пле́мя непокаря́ющихся въ па́губу, спасе́ніє же на́ше во вре́мя печа́ли.

Lord, have mercy upon us; for we have trusted in thee: the seed of the rebellious is gone to destruction, but our deliverance was in a time of affliction.
