Црsтвова' же и^ѓ^сафа'тъ сн~ъ е^го в# него мњ'сто, и^ премога'ше проти'вђ і^и^л~я. и^ѓ^сафа'тъ.
|
And Josaphat his son reigned in his stead, and Josaphat strengthened himself against Israel.
|

поста'ви же ты'сящники число'мъ въ всњх# гра'дњхъ і^ё'диных#. и^же бя'хђ ѓ^граже'ни стњна'ми. пособле'нїе же расмотри` в земли` і^ё'динњ; и^ въ' градњхъ е^фрњ'мовыX и%х#же побра а%сса эTц~ъ е^го.
|
And he put garrisons in all the strong cities of Juda, and appointed captains in all the cities of Juda, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.
|

и^ бы'сть г~ь съ и^ѓ^сафа'томъ. ја%ко хо'дитъ въ пђте'хъ дв~да эTц~а свое^го пр'ьвыхъ. и^ не ё^пова` на и%долы
|
And the Lord was with Josaphat, for he walked in the first ways of his father, and did not seek to idols;

н^о на' б~а эTц~а свое^го. и^ про'иде в повеле'нїи эTц~а свое^го. а^ не по грњхоM і^и^л~евыM”
|
but he sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in the commandments of his father, and not according to the works of Israel.
|

|
Оу^крњпи' же г~ь црsтво в рђкђ е^го. и^ да'ша вс^я і^ё^де'я да'ры и^ѓ^сафа'тђ, и^ бы'сть е^мђ бога'т#ства, и^ мно'га сла'ва.
|
And the Lord prospered the kingdom in his hand; and all Juda gave gifts to Josaphat; and he had great wealth and glory.
|

|
и^ възнесе'ся срDце е^го въ пђть гн~ь. и^ па'ки высо'кая и%долы и^ лђ'ги эT і^ё'ды и^зя'тъ”
|
And his heart was exalted in the way of the Lord; and he removed the high places and the groves from the land of Juda.
|

Въ тре'тїе же лњто црsтва свое^го. посла` нача'лниk свои^хъ, и^ сн~овъ си'лныхъ, и^ а^вдїю и^ заха'рїю, и^ наџанаи'ла, и^ михе'а. да ё^ча'тъ въ' градњхъ і^ё^диныX.

And in the third year of his reign, he sent his chief men, and his mighty men, Abdias and Zacharias, and Nathanael, and Michaias, to teach in the cities of Juda.
|

и^ с ни'ми левљ=ти самђ'ия, и^ наџананїя, и^ вав#дїя, и^ а^сїи'ля, и^ семирамо'џа, і^ и^ѓ^наџа'на, и^ а^донїю, и^ товїю левљ=ты і^ и'же с ни'ми и^ е^лиса'мђ, и^ ѓ^ра'ма жръца`.

And with them were the Levites, Samaias, and Nathanias, and Zabdias, and Asiel, and Semiramoth, and Jonathan, and Adonias, and Tobias, and Tobadonias, Levites, and with them Elisama and Joram, the priests.
|

ё^ча'хђ же лю'ди въ і^ё^де'и, и^мњ'ющи кни'гђ зако'на гн~я и^ ѓ^б#ходя'хђ вс^и гра'ды і^ё^дины ё^ча'хђ лю'ди”
|
And they taught in Juda, and there was with them the book of the law of the Lord, and they passed through the cities of Juda, and taught the people.
|

Того ра'ди сътворе'нъ быs стра'хъ гн~ь на всњ'хъ црsтвахъ зе'мъских#. и^же бя'хђ по ѓ%крsтъ і^ё^де'и. не смња'хђ бранити проти'вђ и^ѓ^сафа'та.
|
And a terror of the Lord was upon all the kingdoms of the land round about Juda, and they made no war against Josaphat.
|

|
н^о и^ эT и^ноплеме'нникъ и^ѓ^сафа'тђ да'ры приноша'хђ. сребро` и^ да'ры. а^ра'ви же привожахђ ѓ%венъ и^ ѓ^веw Wз~, и^ з~ со'тъ. и^ козеl толи'коже,
|
And some of the Philistines brought to Josaphat gifts, and silver, and presents; and the Arabians brought him seven thousand seven hundred rams.
|

|
възрасте же и^ѓ^сафа'тъ и^ възвели'чися да'же до вы'шнихъ. и^ създа` въ і^ё^де'и до'мы ја%ко столпы`.
|
And Josaphat increased in greatness exceedingly, and built in Judea places of abode, and strong cities.
|
|

|
и^ мно'га дњ'ла ё^гото'ва в поса'дњхъ і^ё'диныX и^ мђ'жи же бра'нницы и^ крњ'пцы бя'хђ въ і^ерsлимњ,
|
And he had many works in Judea: and the mighty men of war, the men of strength, were in Jerusalem.
|

|
и%м#же т^о число` по домоM, и^ ѓ^би'телїи и^хъ е^ді'ныхъ” Въ і^ё^дњ нача'лники во'емъ е^дђна'съ во'жDъ. и^ с ни'мъ крњпча'иша мђ'жи, Wт~,
|
And this is their number according to the houses of their fathers; even the captains of thousands in Juda were, Ednas the chief, and with him mighty men of strength three hundred thousand.
|

|
и^ пото'мъ и^ѓ^а^нна'нъ нача'лникъ, и^ с ни'мъ, Wс~, и^ Wп~,
|
And after him, Joanan the captain, and with him two hundred and eighty thousand.
|
|

|
пото'м# же а^масїа сн~ъ захарїевъ пресщ~енъ г~ђ, и^ с ниM, Wп~, мђже'и си'лныхъ, томђ` послњдоваше
|
And after him Amasias the son of Zari, who was zealous for the Lord; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of strength.
|

|
хра'бры къ бра'немъ” эT венїами'на, е^лїа'да, и^ с ни'мъ дръжа'щихъ лђ'къ и^ щи'тъ, Wн~, си'лныX”
|
And out of Benjamin there was a mighty man of strength, even Eliada, and with him two hundred thousand archers and targeteers.
|

|
Пото'мъ па'ки и^ѓ^задавъ, и^ с ни'мъ Wр~, и^ Wп~, си'лни къ бра'ни,
|
And after him Jozabad, and with him a hundred and eighty thousand mighty men of war.
|
|

|
|
тїи вс^и бя'хђ въ рђ'кђ цр~евђ, кромњ и%ныX чт^о постави цр~ь на посадњхъ стњнатыхъ, въ все'и і^ё^де'и”
|
These were the king's servants, besides those whom the king put in the strong cities in all Judea.
