1
| And Darius the Mede succeeded to the kingdom, being sixty-two years old. | И# бhсть ўг0дно пред8 царeмъ, и3 постaви во цaрствэ кнzзeй сто2 и3 двaдесzть, є4же бhти и5мъ во всeмъ цaрствэ є3гw2, |
2
2
| And it pleased Darius, and he set over the kingdom a hundred and twenty satraps, to be in all his kingdom; | над8 ни1ми же три2 чин0вники, t ни1хже бЁ даніи1лъ є3ди1нъ, дабы2 tдавaли и5мъ кн‰зи сл0во, ћкw да царю2 не стужaютъ. |
3
3
| and over them three governors, of whom one was Daniel; for the satraps to give account to them, that the king should not be troubled. |
4
4
| And Daniel was over them, for there was an excellent spirit in him; and the king set him over all his kingdom. |
5
5
| Then the governors and satraps sought to find occasion against Daniel; but they found against him no occasion, nor trespass, nor error, because he was faithful. |
6
6
| And the governors said, We shall not find occasion against Daniel, except in the ordinances of his God. | ТогдA чинHвницы и3 кн‰зи предстaша царю2 и3 рёша є3мY: дaріе царю2, во вёки живи2: |
7
7
| Then the governors and satraps stood by the king, and said to him, King Darius, live for ever. | совэщaша вси2 и5же во цaрствэ твоeмъ воевHды и3 кн‰зи, mпaти и3 њбладaющіи странaми, є4же ўстaвити ўстaвъ цaрскій и3 ўкрэпи1ти предёлъ, ћкw ѓще кто2 попр0ситъ прошeніz t всsкагw б0га и3 человёка до днjй три1десzти, рaзвэ т0чію t тебє2, царю2, да ввeрженъ бyдетъ въ р0въ лeвскій: |
8
8
| All who preside over thy kingdom, captains and satraps, chiefs and local governors, have taken counsel together, to establish by a royal statute and to confirm a decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. |
9
9
| Now then, O king, establish the decree, and publish a writ, that the decree of the Persians and Medes be not changed. | ТогдA цaрь дaрій повелЁ вписaти зaповэдь. |
10
10
| Then king Darius commanded the decree to be written. | Даніи1лъ же є3гдA ўвёдэ, ћкw зaповэдь вчини1сz, вни1де въ д0мъ св0й: двє1рцы же tвє1рсты є3мY въ г0рницэ є3гw2 проти1ву їеrли1ма, въ три1 же временA днE бsше прекланsz кwлёна сво‰, молsсz и3 и3сповёдаzсz пред8 бGомъ свои1мъ, ћкоже бЁ творS прeжде. |
11
11
| And when Daniel knew that the decree was ordered, he went into his house; and his windows were opened in his chambers toward Jerusalem, and three times in the day he knelt upon his knees, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he used to do before.
12
12
| Then these men watched, and found Daniel praying and supplicating to his God. |
13
13
| And they came and said to the king, O king, hast thou not made a decree, that whatsoever man shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, but of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? And the king said, The word is true, and the decree of the Medes and Persians shall not pass. | ТогдA tвэщaша пред8 царeмъ и3 глаг0лаша: даніи1лъ, и4же t сынHвъ плёна їудeйска, не покори1сz зaповэди твоeй (и3 не радЁ) њ предёлэ, є3г0же вчини1лъ є3си2: въ три1 бо временA днE пр0ситъ ў бGа своегw2 прошeній свои1хъ. |
14
14
| Then they answered and said before the king, Daniel of the children of the captivity of Judea, has not submitted to thy decree; and three times in the day he makes his requests of his God. | ТогдA цaрь, ћкw слhшавъ сл0во сіE, ѕэлw2 њпечaлисz њ нeмъ, и3 њ даніи1лэ прsшесz є4же и3збaвити є3го2, и3 бЁ дaже до вeчера прsсz є4же и3збaвити є3го2. |
15
15
| Then the king, when he heard the saying, was much grieved for Daniel, and he greatly exerted himself for Daniel to deliver him: and he exerted himself till evening to deliver him. | ТогдA мyжіе џніи глаг0лаша царю2: вёждь, царю2 ћкw ми1дwмъ и3 пeрсwмъ не лёть є4сть премэни1ти всsкагw предёла и3 ўстaва, є3г0же цaрь ўстaвитъ. |
16
16
| Then those men said to the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, that we must not change any decree or statute which the king shall make. И# речE цaрь даніи1лу: бGъ тв0й, є3мyже ты2 слyжиши пrнw, т0й и3збaвитъ тS. |
17
17
| Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. But the king said to Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. |
18
18
| And they brought a stone, and put it on the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his ring, and with the ring of his nobles; that the case might not be altered with regard to Daniel. |
19
19
| And the king departed to his house, and lay down fasting, and they brought him no food; and his sleep departed from him. But God shut the mouths of the lions, and they did not molest Daniel. | ТогдA цaрь востA заyтра на свётэ и3 со тщaніемъ пріи1де ко рвY лeвску. |
20
20
| Then the king arose very early in the morning, and came in haste to the den of lions. | И# є3гдA прибли1жисz ко рвY, возопи2 глaсомъ крёпкимъ: даніи1ле, рaбе бGа живaгw!
21
21
| And when he drew near to the den, he cried with a loud voice, Daniel, servant of the living God, has thy God, whom thou servest continually, been able to deliver thee from the lion's mouth?
22
22
| And Daniel said to the king, O king, live for ever. | бGъ м0й послA ѓгGла своего2 и3 затвори2 ўстA львHвъ, и3 не вреди1ша менE, ћкw њбрётесz пред8 ни1мъ прaвда моS, и3 пред8 тоб0ю, царю2, согрэшeніz не сотвори1хъ. |
23
23
| My God has sent his angel, and stopped the lions' mouths, and they have not hurt me: for uprightness was found in me before him; and moreover before thee, O king, I have committed no trespass. | ТогдA цaрь вельми2 возвесели1сz њ нeмъ и3 речE даніи1ла и3звести2 и3з8 рвA. |
24
24
| Then the king was very glad for him, and he commanded to bring Daniel out of the den. So Daniel was brought out of the den, and there was found no hurt upon him, because he believed in his God. | И# речE цaрь, и3 привед0ша мyжы њклеветaвшыz даніи1ла и3 въ р0въ лeвскъ вверг0ша | и3 сhны и4хъ и3 жєны2 и4хъ: и3 не доид0ша днA рвA, дaже соwдолёша и5мъ львы2 и3 вс‰ кHсти и4хъ и3стончи1ша. |
25
25
| And the king commanded, and they brought the men that had accused Daniel, and they were cast into the den of lions, they, and their children, and their wives: and they reached not the bottom of the den before the lions had the mastery of them, and utterly broke to pieces all their bones. | ТогдA дaрій цaрь написA всBмъ лю1демъ, племенHмъ, ћзhкwмъ, живyщымъ во всeй земли2: ми1ръ вaмъ да ўмн0житсz: |
26
26
| Then king Darius wrote to all nations, tribes, and languages, who dwell in all the earth, saying, Peace be multiplied to you. | t лицA моегw2 заповёдасz зaповэдь сіS во всeй земли2 цaрства моегw2, да бyдутъ трепeщуще и3 боsщесz t лицA бGа даніи1лова, ћкw т0й є4сть бGъ живhй и3 пребывazй во вёки, и3 цrтво є3гw2 не разсhплетсz, и3 влaсть є3гw2 до концA: |
27
27
| This decree has been set forth by me in every dominion of my kingdom, that men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living and eternal God, and his kingdom shall not be destroyed, and his dominion is for ever. |
28
28
| He helps and delivers, and works signs and wonders in the heaven and on the earth, who has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions. | Даніи1лъ же ўправлsше во цaрствэ дaріевэ и3 во цaрствэ кЂра пeрсzнина. |
29
| And Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. |
