Chapter 8
Главa }
1
1
In the third year of the reign of king Baltasar a vision appeared to me, even to me Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.
2
2
And I was in Susa the palace, which is in the land of Ælam, and I was on the bank of Ubal.
3
3
And I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, a ram standing in front of the Ubal; and he had high horns; and one was higher than the other, and the high one came up last. и3 воздвиг0хъ џчи мои2 и3 ви1дэхъ: и3 сE, nвeнъ є3ди1нъ стоS пред8 ўвaломъ є3мyже р0зи, р0зи же выс0цы, є3ди1нъ же вhшше другaгw, и3 вhшшій восхождaше послэди2.
4
4
And I saw the ram butting westward, and northward, and southward; and no beast could stand before him, and there was none that could deliver out of his hand; and he did according to his will, and became great.
5
5
And I was considering, and, behold, a he-goat came from the south-west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the earth: and the goat had a horn between his eyes.
6
6
And he came to the ram that had the horns, which I had seen standing in front of the Ubal, and he ran at him with the violence of his strength. и3 пріи1де до nвнA и3мyщагw рогA є3г0же ви1дэхъ стоsща пред8 ўвaломъ, и3 течE къ немY въ си1лэ крёпости своеS.
7
7
And I saw him coming up close to the ram, and he was furiously enraged against him, and he smote the ram, and broke both his horns: and there was no strength in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him on the ground, and trampled on him; and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. И# ви1дэхъ є3го2 доходsща до nвнA, и3 разсвирёпэ на него2, и3 порази2 nвнA, и3 сокруши2 џба рHга є3гw2: и3 не бЁ си1лы nвнY, є4же стaти проти1ву є3мY: и3 повeрже є3го2 на зeмлю и3 попрA є3го2, и3 не бЁ и3збавлszй nвнA t руки2 є3гw2.
8
8
And the he-goat grew exceedingly great: and when he was strong, his great horn was broken; and four other horns rose up in its place toward the four winds of heaven.
9
9
And out of one of them came forth one strong horn, and it grew very great toward the south, and toward the host:
10
10
and it magnified itself to the host of heaven; and there fell to the earth some of the host of heaven and of the stars, and they trampled on them. и3 возвели1чисz дaже до си1лы нбcныz: и3 сотвори2 пaсти на зeмлю t си1лы нбcныz и3 t ѕвёздъ, и3 попрA |:
11
11
And this shall be until the chief captain shall have delivered the captivity: and by reason of him the sacrifice was disturbed, and he prospered; and the holy place shall be made desolate. и3 д0ндеже ґрхістрати1гъ и3збaвитъ плённики, и3 є3гw2 рaди жeртва смzтeсz, и3 благопоспэши1сz є3мY, и3 с™0е њпустёетъ:
12
12
And a sin-offering was given for the sacrifice, and righteousness was cast down to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
13
13
And I heard one saint speaking, and a saint said to a certain one speaking, How long shall the vision continue, even the removal of the sacrifice, and the bringing in of the sin of desolation; and how long shall the sanctuary and host be trampled? И# слhшахъ є3ди1нагw с™aгw глаг0люща. И# речE є3ди1нъ с™hй друг0му нёкоему глаг0лющему: док0лэ видёніе стaнетъ, жeртва tsтаz, и3 грёхъ њпустёніz дaнный, и3 с™0е и3 си1ла поперeтсz;
14
14
And he said to him, Evening and morning there shall be two thousand and four hundred days; and then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.
15
15
And it came to pass, as I, even I Daniel, saw the vision, and sought to understand it, that, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. И# бhсть, є3гдA ви1дэхъ ѓзъ даніи1лъ видёніе и3 взыскaхъ вёдэніz, и3 сE, стA предо мн0ю ѓки w4бразъ мyжескъ,
16
16
And I heard the voice of a man between the banks of the Ubal; and he called, and said, Gabriel, cause that man to understand the vision. и3 слhшахъ глaсъ мyжескъ средЁ ўвaла, и3 призвA и3 речE: гавріи1ле, скажи2 видёніе џному.
17
17
And he came and stood near where I stood: and when he came, I was struck with awe, and fell upon my face: but he said to me, Understand, son of man: for yet the vision is for an appointed time.
18
18
And while he spoke with me, I fell upon my face to the earth: and he touched me, and set me on my feet.
19
19
And he said, Behold, I make thee know the things that shall come to pass at the end of the wrath: for the vision is yet for an appointed time.
20
20
The ram which thou sawest that had the horns is the king of the Medes and Persians. Nвeнъ, є3г0же ви1дэлъ є3си2 и3мyща рогA, цaрь ми1дскій и3 пeрсскій:
21
21
The he-goat is the king of the Greeks: and the great horn which was between his eyes, he is the first king.
22
22
And as for the one that was broken, in whose place there stood up four horns, four kings shall arise out of his nation, but not in their own strength. семy же сокруши1вшусz востaша четhри р0зи под8 ни1мъ: четhри цaріе востaнутъ t kзhка є3гw2, но не въ крёпости є3гw2,
23
23
And at the latter time of their kingdom, when their sins are coming to the full, there shall arise a king bold in countenance, and understanding riddles. и3 на послёдокъ цaрства и4хъ, и3сполнsющымсz грэхHмъ и4хъ, востaнетъ цaрь безсрaменъ лицeмъ и3 разумёz гад†ніz,
24
24
And his power shall be great, and he shall destroy wonderfully, and prosper, and practise, and shall destroy mighty men, and the holy people.
25
25
And the yoke of his chain shall prosper: there is craft in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by craft shall destroy many, and he shall stand up for the destruction of many, and shall crush them as eggs in his hand. и3 kрeмъ вери1гъ свои1хъ и3спрaвитъ: лeсть въ руцЁ є3гw2, и3 въ сeрдцы своeмъ возвели1читсz, и3 лeстію разсhплетъ мн0гихъ, и3 на пaгубу мнHгимъ возстaнетъ, и3 ћкw ћица рук0ю сокруши1тъ.
26
26
And the vision of the evening and morning that was mentioned is true: and do thou seal the vision; for it is for many days.
27
27
And I Daniel fell asleep, and was sick: then I arose, and did the king's business; and I wondered at the vision, and there was none that understood it. Ѓзъ же даніи1лъ ўсп0хъ и3 и3знемогaхъ на дни6 (мнHги), и3 востaхъ и3 творsхъ дэлA царє1ва, и3 почуди1хсz видёнію, и3 не бsше разумэвaющагw.
