Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, that I was in the midst of the captivity by the river of Chobar; and the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

И бы́сть въ тридеся́тоє лѣ́то, въ четве́ртый ме́сяцъ, въ пя́тый де́нь ме́сяца, и а́зъ бы́хъ посредѣ́ плѣне́нія при рѣцѣ́ Хова́ръ: и отверзо́шася небеса́, и ви́дѣхъ видѣ́нія Бо́жія.

On the fifth day of the month; this was the fifth year of the captivity of king Joakim.

Въ пя́тый де́нь ме́сяца, сіє́ лѣ́то пя́тоє плѣне́нія царя́ Іоакі́ма,

And the word of the Lord came to Jezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river of Chobar; and the hand of the Lord was upon me.

и бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко Ієзекі́илю сы́ну вузі́єву, свяще́ннику, въ земли́ Халде́йстѣй при рѣцѣ́ Хова́ръ. И бы́сть на мнѣ́ рука́ Госпо́дня,

And I looked, and, behold, a sweeping wind came from the north, and a great cloud on it, and there was brightness round about it, and gleaming fire, and in the midst of it as it were the appearance of amber in the midst of the fire, and brightness in it.

и ви́дѣхъ, и се́, ду́хъ воздвиза́яйся грядя́ше от сѣ́вера, и о́блакъ вели́кій въ не́мъ, и свѣ́тъ о́крестъ єго́, и о́гнь блиста́яйся:

And in the midst as it were the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; the likeness of a man was upon them.

и посредѣ́ єго́ я́ко видѣ́ніє иле́ктра посредѣ́ огня́, и свѣ́тъ въ не́мъ: и посредѣ́ я́ко подо́біє четы́рехъ живо́тныхъ. И сіє́ видѣ́ніє и́хъ, я́ко подо́біє человѣ́ка въ ни́хъ:

And each one had four faces, and each one had four wings.

и четы́ри ли́ца єди́ному, и четы́ри кри́ла єди́ному,

And their legs were straight; and their feet were winged, and there were sparks, like gleaming brass, and their wings were light.

и го́лени и́хъ пра́вы, и перна́ты но́ги и́хъ, и и́скры я́ко блиста́ющаяся мѣ́дь, и ле́гка кри́ла и́хъ,

And the hand of a man was under their wings on their four sides.

и рука́ человѣ́ча подъ кри́лами и́хъ на четы́рехъ страна́хъ и́хъ:

And the faces of them four turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

и ли́ца и́хъ, и кри́ла и́хъ четы́рехъ держа́щаяся дру́гъ дру́га, ли́ца же и́хъ четы́рехъ не обраща́хуся внегда́ ходи́ти и́мъ: ко́єждо пря́мо лица́ своєго́ хожда́ху.

And the likeness of their faces was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right to the four; and the face of a calf on the left to the four; and the face of an eagle to the four.

И подо́біє ли́цъ и́хъ, лице́ человѣ́чеє и лице́ льво́во одесну́ю четы́ремъ, и лице́ те́лчеє ошу́юю четы́ремъ, и лице́ о́рлеє четы́ремъ:

And the four had their wings spread out above; each one had two joined to one another, and two covered their bodies.

[и ли́ца и́хъ] и кри́ла и́хъ просте́рта свы́ше четы́ремъ, коєму́ждо два́ сопряже́на дру́гъ ко дру́гу, и два́ покрыва́ху верху́ тѣлесе́ и́хъ, и ко́єждо пря́мо лицу́ своєму́ идя́ше:

And each one went straight forward: wherever the spirit was going they went, and turned not back.

идѣ́же а́ще бя́ше ду́хъ ше́ствуяй, идя́ху и не обраща́хуся.

And in the midst of the living creatures there was an appearance as of burning coals of fire, as an appearance of lamps turning among the living creatures; and the brightness of fire, and out of the fire came forth lightning.

И посредѣ́ живо́тныхъ видѣ́ніє, я́ко у́глія огня́ горя́щаго, я́ко видѣ́ніє свѣ́щъ сообраща́ющихся посредѣ́ живо́тныхъ, и свѣ́тъ огня́, и от огня́ исхожда́ше я́ко мо́лнія:

And I looked, and, behold, the four had each one wheel on the ground near the living creatures.

и живо́тная теча́ху и обраща́хуся, я́ко видѣ́ніє везе́ково {блиста́нія}.

And the appearance of the wheels was as the appearance of beryl: and the four had one likeness: and their work was as it were a wheel in a wheel.

И ви́дѣхъ, и се́, ко́ло єди́но земли́ держа́щеєся живо́тныхъ четы́рехъ:

They went on their four sides: they turned not as they went;

и видѣ́ніє коле́съ и сотворе́ніє и́хъ, я́ко видѣ́ніє Ѳарсі́са, и подо́біє єди́но четы́ремъ: и дѣ́ло и́хъ бя́ше, я́коже а́ще бы бы́ло ко́ло въ колеси́:

neither did their backs turn: and they were high: and I beheld them, and the backs of them four were full of eyes round about.

на четы́ри страны́ и́хъ ше́ствоваху: не обраща́хуся, внегда́ ше́ствовати и́мъ,

And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures lifted themselves off the earth, the wheels were lifted off.

ниже́ хребты́ и́хъ, и высота́ бя́ше и́мъ. И ви́дѣхъ та́, и плеща́ и́хъ испо́лнена оче́съ о́крестъ четы́ремъ:

Wherever the cloud happened to be, there was the spirit ready to go: the wheels went and were lifted up with them; because the spirit of life was in the wheels.

и внегда́ ше́ствовати живо́тнымъ, ше́ствоваху и коле́са держа́щеся и́хъ: и внегда́ воздвиза́тися живо́тнымъ от земли́, воздвиза́хуся и коле́са.

When those went, the wheels went; and when those stood, the wheels stood; and when those lifted themselves off the earth, they were lifted off with them: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.

Идѣ́же а́ще бя́ше о́блакъ, та́мо бя́ше и ду́хъ, є́же ше́ствовати: ше́ствоваху и живо́тная, и коле́са воздвиза́хуся съ ни́ми, зане́ ду́хъ жи́зни бя́ше въ колесѣ́хъ.

And the likeness over the heads of the living creatures was as a firmament, as the appearance of crystal, spread out over their wings above.

Внегда́ идя́ху сія́, идя́ху [и коле́са], и внегда́ стоя́ти и́мъ, стоя́ху [и коле́са съ ни́ми], и єгда́ воздвиза́хуся от земли́, воздвиза́хуся съ ни́ми [и коле́са], я́ко ду́хъ жи́зни бя́ше въ колесѣ́хъ.

And their wings were spread out under the firmament, reaching one to the other; two wings to each, covering their bodies.

И подо́біє надъ главо́ю живо́тныхъ я́ко тве́рдь, я́ко видѣ́ніє криста́лла, просте́ртоє надъ кри́лами и́хъ свы́ше:

And I heard the sound of their wings when they went, as the sound of much water: and when they stood, their wings were let down.

и подъ тве́рдію кри́ла и́хъ просте́рта, паря́ще дру́гъ ко дру́гу, кому́ждо два́ спряже́на, прикрыва́юще тѣлеса́ и́хъ.

And lo! a voice from above the firmament

И слы́шахъ гла́съ кри́лъ и́хъ, внегда́ паря́ху, я́ко гла́съ во́дъ мно́гихъ, я́ко гла́съ Бо́га саддаі́: и внегда́ ходи́ти и́мъ, гла́съ сло́ва я́ко гла́съ полка́: и внегда́ стоя́ти и́мъ, почива́ху кри́ла и́хъ.

that was over their head, there was as the appearance of a sapphire stone, and the likeness of a throne upon it: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as an appearance of a man above.

И се́, гла́съ превы́ше тве́рди су́щія надъ главо́ю и́хъ: внегда́ стоя́ти и́мъ, низпуска́хуся кри́ла и́хъ.

And I saw as it were the resemblance of amber from the appearance of the loins and upwards, and from the appearance of the loins and under I saw an appearance of fire, and the brightness thereof round about.

И надъ тве́рдію, я́же надъ главо́ю и́хъ, я́ко видѣ́ніє ка́мене сапфі́ра, подо́біє престо́ла на не́мъ, и на подо́біи престо́ла подо́біє я́коже ви́дъ человѣ́чь сверху́.

As the appearance of the bow when it is in the cloud in days of rain, so was the form of the brightness round about.

И ви́дѣхъ я́ко видѣ́ніє иле́ктра, я́ко видѣ́ніє огня́ вну́трь єго́ о́крестъ: от видѣ́нія чре́слъ и вы́ше и от видѣ́нія чре́слъ да́же до до́лу ви́дѣхъ видѣ́ніє огня́, и свѣ́тъ єго́ о́крестъ:

This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And I saw and fell upon my face, and heard the voice of one speaking: and he said to me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak to thee.

Сіє́ видѣ́ніє подо́біє сла́вы Госпо́дни. И ви́дѣхъ, и падо́хъ ни́цъ, и слы́шахъ гла́съ глаго́лющаго, и рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, ста́ни на но́ги твоя́, и возглаго́лю тебѣ́.

And the Spirit came upon me, and took me up, and raised me, and set me on my feet: and I heard him speaking to me.

И пріи́де на мя́ ду́хъ, и взя́ мя́, и воздви́же мя́, и поста́ви мя́ на нога́хъ мои́хъ, и слы́шахъ єго́ глаго́люща ко мнѣ́.

And he said to me, Son of man, I send thee forth to the house of Israel, them that provoke me; who have provoked me, they and their fathers, to this day.

И рече́ [Госпо́дь] ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, послю́ тя а́зъ къ до́му Ізра́илеву, огорчева́ющымъ мя́, и́же огорчи́ша мя́: са́ми и отцы́ и́хъ отверго́шася мене́ до дне́шняго дне́:

And thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord.

и сы́нове жестоколи́чніи и твердосерде́чніи. А́зъ послю́ тя къ тѣ́мъ, и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь:

Whether then indeed they shall hear or fear, (for it is a provoking house,) yet they shall know that thou art a prophet in the midst of them.

а́ще у́бо услы́шатъ, или́ убоя́тся, зане́ до́мъ огорчева́яй є́сть, и позна́ютъ, я́ко проро́къ єси́ ты́ посредѣ́ и́хъ.

And thou, son of man, fear them not, nor be dismayed at their face; (for they will madden and will rise up against thee round about, and thou dwellest in the midst of scorpions): be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their countenance, for it is a provoking house.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, да не убои́шися и́хъ, ни ужаса́йся от лица́ и́хъ: зане́ разсверѣ́пѣютъ и обы́дутъ тя́ о́крестъ, посредѣ́ бо скорпі́євъ ты́ живе́ши: слове́съ и́хъ не убо́йся и от лица́ и́хъ не ужаса́йся, зане́ до́мъ огорчева́яй є́сть:

And thou shalt speak my words to them, whether they will hear or fear: for it is a provoking house.

и возглаго́леши словеса́ моя́ къ ни́мъ, а́ще у́бо услы́шатъ, или́ убоя́тся, зане́ до́мъ прогнѣ́ваяй є́сть.

And thou, son of man, hear him that speaks to thee; be not thou provoking, as the provoking house: open thy mouth, and eat what I give thee.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, послу́шай глаго́лющаго къ тебѣ́, не бу́ди огорчева́яй, я́коже до́мъ преогорчева́яй: отве́рзи уста́ твоя́ и снѣ́ждь, я́же а́зъ даю́ тебѣ́.

And I looked, and behold, a hand stretched out to me, and in it a volume of a book.

И ви́дѣхъ, и се́, рука́ просте́рта ко мнѣ́, и въ не́й сви́токъ кни́жный:

And he unrolled it before me: and in it the front and the back were written upon: and there was written in it Lamentation, and mournful song, and woe.

и разви́ єго́ предо мно́ю, и въ то́мъ пи́сана бы́ша пре́дняя и за́дняя: и впи́сано бя́ше въ не́мъ рыда́ніє и жа́лость и го́ре.

And he said to me, Son of man, eat this volume, and go and speak to the children of Israel.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, снѣ́ждь сви́токъ се́й, и иди́ и рцы́ сыно́мъ Ізра́илевымъ.

So he opened my mouth, and caused me to eat the volume. And he said to me, Son of man,

И отверзо́хъ уста́ моя́, и напита́ мя сви́ткомъ си́мъ

thy mouth shall eat, and thy belly shall be filled with this volume that is given to thee. So I ate it; and it was in my mouth as sweet honey.

и рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, уста́ твоя́ снѣдя́тъ, и чре́во твоє́ насы́тится сви́тка сего́ да́ннаго тебѣ́. И снѣдо́хъ єго́, и бы́сть во устѣ́хъ мои́хъ я́ко ме́дъ сла́докъ.

And he said to me, Son of man, go thy way, and go in to the house of Israel, and speak my words to them.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, иди́ и вни́ди въ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ, и глаго́ли словеса́ моя́ къ ни́мъ:

For thou art not sent to a people of hard speech, but to the house of Israel;

я́ко не къ лю́демъ глубокорѣ́чивымъ и косноязы́чнымъ посыла́ємь єси́, къ до́му Ізра́илеву,

neither to many nations of other speech and other tongues, nor of harsh language, whose words thou wouldest not understand: although if I had sent thee to such, they would have hearkened to thee.

ниже́ къ лю́демъ мно́гимъ иноязы́чнымъ, инорѣ́чивымъ, ни тя́жкимъ язы́комъ су́щымъ, и́хже не разумѣ́лъ бы єси́ слове́съ: а́ще же и къ тацѣ́мъ посла́лъ бы́хъ тя́, то́ и ті́и послу́шали бы́ша тебе́:

But the house of Israel will not be willing to hearken to thee; for they will not hearken to me: for all the house of Israel are stubborn and hard-hearted.

а до́мъ Ізра́илевъ не восхо́щетъ послу́шати тебе́, поне́же не хотя́тъ слу́шати мене́, я́ко ве́сь до́мъ Ізра́илевъ непокори́ви су́ть и жестокосе́рди:

And, behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and I will strengthen thy power against their power.

и се́, да́хъ лице́ твоє́ си́льно проти́ву лица́ и́хъ, и прю́ {Євр.: чело́.} твою́ укрѣплю́ проти́ву при́ и́хъ:

And it shall be continually stronger than a rock: be not afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their faces, because it is a provoking house.

и бу́детъ, всегда́ крѣпча́є ка́мене да́хъ прю́ твою́: не убо́йся и́хъ, ни ужаса́йся лица́ и́хъ, зане́ до́мъ разгнѣ́ваяй є́сть.

And he said to me, Son of man, receive into thine heart all the words that I have spoken to thee, and hear them with thine ears.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, вся́ словеса́, я́же глаго́лахъ съ тобо́ю, возми́ въ се́рдце твоє́ и уши́ма твои́ма послу́шай:

And go thy way, go in to the captivity, to the children of thy people, and thou shalt speak to them, and say to them, Thus saith the Lord; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

и ше́дъ вни́ди въ плѣ́нъ къ сыно́мъ люді́й твои́хъ, и рече́ши къ ни́мъ и возглаго́леши къ ни́мъ: та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: а́ще у́бо послу́шаютъ и а́ще у́бо повину́тся.

Then the Spirit took me up, and I heard behind me the voice as of a great earthquake, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.

И взя́ мя ду́хъ, и слы́шахъ гла́съ за собо́ю тру́са вели́ка, глаго́лющихъ: благослове́на сла́ва Госпо́дня от мѣ́ста єго́.

And I perceived the sound of the wings of the living creatures clapping one to the other, and the sound of the wheels was near them, and the sound of the earthquake.

И ви́дѣхъ гла́съ кри́лъ живо́тныхъ скриля́ющихся дру́гъ ко дру́гу, и гла́съ коле́съ держа́щься и́хъ, и гла́съ тру́са вели́ка.

And the Spirit lifted me, and took me up, and I went in the impulse of my spirit; and the hand of the Lord was mighty upon me.

И ду́хъ воздви́же мя́ и взя́ мя, и поидо́хъ вознесе́нъ во устремле́ніи ду́ха моєго́, и рука́ Госпо́дня бы́сть на мнѣ́ крѣ́пкая.

Then I passed through the air and came into the captivity, and went round to them that dwelt by the river of Chobar who were there; and I sat there seven days, conversant in the midst of them.

И внидо́хъ въ плѣ́нники вознесе́нъ, и обыдо́хъ живу́щыя на рѣцѣ́ Хова́ръ, и сѣдо́хъ ту́ се́дмь дні́й, ходя́ посредѣ́ и́хъ.

And after the seven days the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man,

И бы́сть по седми́хъ дне́хъ сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

I have made thee a watchman to the house of Israel; and thou shalt hear a word of my mouth, and shalt threaten them from me.

сы́не человѣ́чь, стра́жа да́хъ тя́ до́му Ізра́илеву, да слы́шиши сло́во от у́стъ мои́хъ и воспрети́ши и́мъ от мене́.

When I say to the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou hast not warned him, to give warning to the wicked, to turn from his ways, that he should live; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand.

Внегда́ глаго́лати ми́ беззако́ннику: сме́ртію у́мреши: и не возвѣсти́ши єму́, ни соглаго́леши, є́же оста́тися беззако́ннику и обрати́тися от пути́ своєго́, є́же жи́ву бы́ти єму́: беззако́нникъ то́й въ беззако́ніи своє́мъ у́мретъ, кро́ве же єго́ от руки́ твоєя́ взыщу́.

But if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, and from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, and thou shalt deliver thy soul.

И ты́ а́ще возвѣсти́ши беззако́ннику, и не обрати́тся от беззако́нія своєго́ и от пути́ своєго́ [беззако́нна]: то́й беззако́нникъ во беззако́ніи своє́мъ у́мретъ, а ты́ ду́шу твою́ изба́виши.

And when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits a trespass, and I shall bring punishment before him, he shall die, because thou didst not warn him: he shall even die in his sins, because his righteousness shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

И єгда́ соврати́тся пра́ведникъ от пра́вдъ свои́хъ и сотвори́тъ согрѣше́ніє: и да́мъ му́ку предъ ни́мъ, то́й у́мретъ, я́ко ты́ не воспрети́лъ єси́ єму́, и во грѣсѣ́хъ свои́хъ у́мретъ, зане́ не помяну́тся пра́вды єго́, я́же сотвори́: кро́ве же єго́ от руки́ твоєя́ взыщу́.

But if thou warn the righteous not to sin, and he sin not, the righteous shall surely live, because thou hast warned him; and thou shalt deliver thine own soul.

Ты́ же а́ще возвѣсти́ши пра́ведному, є́же не согрѣши́ти, и то́й не согрѣши́тъ: пра́ведный жи́знію поживе́тъ, я́ко воспрети́лъ єси́ єму́, и ты́ твою́ ду́шу изба́виши.

And the hand of the Lord came upon me; and he said to me, Arise, and go forth into the plain, and there shalt thou be spoken to.

И бы́сть на мнѣ́ рука́ Госпо́дня, и рече́ ко мнѣ́: воста́ни и изы́ди на по́ле, и та́мо возглаго́лется къ тебѣ́.

And I arose, and went forth to the plain: and, behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, according to the vision, and according to the glory of the Lord, which I saw by the river of Chobar: and I fell on my face.

И воста́хъ и изыдо́хъ на по́ле: и се́, та́мо сла́ва Госпо́дня стоя́ше, я́коже видѣ́ніє и я́коже сла́ва Госпо́дня, ю́же ви́дѣхъ на рѣцѣ́ Хова́ръ, и падо́хъ на лицы́ моє́мъ.

Then the Spirit came upon me, and set me on my feet, and spoke to me, and said to me, Go in, and shut thyself up in the midst of thine house.

И пріи́де на мя́ ду́хъ и поста́ви мя́ на ногу́ моє́ю: и глаго́ла ко мнѣ́ и рече́ ми́: вни́ди и затвори́ся средѣ́ до́му твоєго́.

And thou, son of man, behold, bonds are prepared for thee, and they shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not come forth of the midst of them.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, се́, да́шася на тя́ у́зы, и свя́жутъ тя́ и́ми, и не изы́деши от среды́ и́хъ:

Also I will bind thy tongue, and thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: because it is a provoking house.

и язы́къ тво́й привяжу́ къ горта́ни твоєму́, и онѣмѣ́єши и не бу́деши и́мъ въ му́жа обличе́нія, поне́же до́мъ разгнѣ́ваяй є́сть:

But when I speak to thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord, He that hears, let him hear; and he that is disobedient, let him be disobedient: because it is a provoking house.

и внегда́ глаго́лати ми́ къ тебѣ́, отве́рзу уста́ твоя́, и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: слы́шай да слы́шитъ, и не покаря́яйся да не покаря́єтся, зане́ до́мъ преогорчева́яй є́сть.

And thou, son of man, take thee a brick, and thou shalt set it before thy face, and shalt portray on it the city, even Jerusalem.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, возми́ себѣ́ плі́нѳу и положи́ ю́ предъ лице́мъ твои́мъ, и да напи́шеши на не́й гра́дъ Ієрусали́мъ,

And thou shalt besiege it, and build works against it, and throw up a mound round about it, and pitch camps against it, and set up engines round about.

и да да́си о́крестъ єго́ огражде́ніє, и да согради́ши надъ ни́мъ забра́ла и обложи́ши єго́ остро́гомъ, и да поста́виши о́крестъ єго́ полки́ и да учини́ши поставле́нія стрѣ́льницъ о́крестъ:

And take thou to thyself an iron pan, and thou shalt set it for an iron wall between thee and the city: and thou shalt set thy face against it, and it shall be in a siege, and thou shalt besiege it. This is a sign to the children of Israel.

ты́ же возми́ себѣ́ сковра́ду желѣ́зну, и да положи́ши ю́ въ стѣ́ну желѣ́зну между́ тобо́ю и между́ гра́домъ, и да угото́виши лице́ твоє́ на́нь, и бу́детъ въ затво́рѣ, и затвори́ши и́: зна́меніє сіє́ є́сть сыно́мъ Ізра́илевымъ.

And thou shalt lie upon thy left side, and lay the iniquities of the house of Israel upon it, according to the number of the hundred and fifty days during which thou shalt lie upon it: and thou shalt bear their iniquities.

Ты́ же да спи́ши на лѣ́вѣмъ боку́ твоє́мъ, и да положи́ши непра́вды до́му Ізра́илева на не́мъ, по числу́ дні́й пятьдеся́тъ и сто́, въ ня́же поспи́ши на не́мъ, и во́змеши непра́вды и́хъ.

For I have appointed thee their iniquities for a number of days, for a hundred and ninety days: so thou shalt bear the iniquities of the house of Israel.

И а́зъ да́хъ тебѣ́ двѣ́ непра́вды и́хъ въ число́ дні́й, въ де́вятьдесятъ и сто́ дні́й, и во́змеши непра́вды до́му Ізра́илева.

And thou shalt accomplish this, and then shalt lie on thy right side, and shalt bear the iniquities of the house of Juda forty days: I have appointed thee a day for a year.

И соверши́ши сія́, и поспи́ши на десны́хъ ре́брѣхъ твои́хъ второ́є, и во́змеши непра́вды до́му Іу́дина четы́редесять дні́й, де́нь за єди́но лѣ́то положи́хъ тебѣ́.

So thou shalt set thy face to the siege of Jerusalem, and shalt strengthen thine arm, and shalt prophesy against it.

И на заключе́ніє Ієрусали́ма да угото́ваєши лице́ твоє́, и мы́шцу твою́ утверди́ши, и проро́чествовати бу́деши на него́.

And, behold, I have prepared bonds for thee, and thou mayest not turn from thy one side to the other, until the days of thy siege shall be accomplished.

И се́, а́зъ да́хъ на тя́ у́зы, и не преврати́шися от ре́бръ твои́хъ на ре́бра твоя́, до́ндеже сконча́ются дні́є заключе́нія твоєго́.

Take thou also to thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and bread-corn; and thou shalt cast them into one earthen vessel, and shalt make them into loaves for thyself; and thou shalt eat them a hundred and ninety days, according to the number of the days during which thou sleepest on thy side.

Ты́ же [сы́не человѣ́чь] возми́ себѣ́ пшени́цу и ячме́нь, и бо́бъ и ля́щу, и про́со и пы́ро, и вложи́ши я́ въ сосу́дъ єди́нъ гли́нянъ: и сотвори́ши я́ себѣ́ въ хлѣ́бы, и по числу́ дні́й, въ ня́же спи́ши на ре́брѣхъ твои́хъ, де́вятьдесятъ и сто́ дні́й я́сти бу́деши о́ныя.

And thou shalt eat thy food by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat them.

Я́дь же твоя́, ю́же я́сти бу́деши, вѣ́сомъ два́десять Сі́кль на де́нь, от вре́мене до вре́мене снѣ́си сія́.

And thou shalt drink water by measure, even from time to time thou shalt drink the sixth part of a hin.

И во́ду мѣ́рою пи́ти бу́деши, и шесту́ю ча́сть і́на от вре́мене до вре́мене испіє́ши.

And thou shalt eat them as a barley cake: thou shalt bake them before their eyes in man's dung.

И опрѣсно́къ ячме́нный снѣ́си я́, въ ла́йнѣ моты́лъ человѣ́чихъ сокры́єши я́ предъ очи́ма и́хъ

And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Thus shall the children of Israel eat unclean things among the Gentiles.

и рече́ши: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ Ізра́илевъ: та́ко снѣдя́тъ сы́нове Ізра́илевы хлѣ́бъ сво́й нечи́стъ во язы́цѣхъ, а́може разсы́плю я́.

Then I said, Not so, Lord God of Israel: surely my soul has not been defiled with uncleanness; nor have I eaten that which died of itself or was torn of beasts from my birth until now; neither has any corrupt flesh entered into my mouth.

И рѣ́хъ: ника́коже, Го́споди Бо́же Ізра́илевъ! се́, душа́ моя́ не оскверни́лася въ нечистотѣ́, и мертвечи́ны и звѣроя́дины не ядо́хъ от рожде́нія моєго́ да́же доны́нѣ, ниже́ вни́де во уста́ моя́ вся́коє мя́со ме́рзко и скверна́во.

And he said to me, Behold, I have given thee dung of oxen instead of man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy loaves upon it.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: се́, да́хъ тебѣ́ моты́ла говя́жая вмѣ́сто моты́лъ человѣ́чихъ, и сотвори́ши хлѣ́бы себѣ́ въ ни́хъ.

And he said to me, Son of man, behold, I break the support of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight and in want; and shall drink water by measure, and in a state of ruin:

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, се́, а́зъ сотру́ утвержде́ніє хлѣ́бноє во Ієрусали́мѣ, и снѣдя́тъ хлѣ́бъ вѣ́сомъ и во оскудѣ́ніи, и во́ду мѣ́рою и въ па́губѣ испію́тъ,

that they may want bread and water; and a man and his brother shall be brought to ruin, and they shall pine away in their iniquities.

я́ко да ску́дни бу́дутъ хлѣ́бомъ и водо́ю: и поги́бнетъ человѣ́къ и бра́тъ єго́, и иста́ютъ въ непра́вдахъ свои́хъ.

And thou, son of man, take thee a sword sharper than a barber's razor; thou shalt procure it for thyself, and shalt bring it upon thine head, and upon thy beard: and thou shalt take a pair of scales, and shalt separate the hair.

Ты́ же, сы́не человѣ́чь, возми́ себѣ́ ме́чь о́стръ па́че бри́твы стригу́щаго, притяжи́ єго́ себѣ́ и возложи́ єго́ на главу́ твою́ и на браду́ твою́: и возми́ превѣ́съ вѣсо́въ, и размѣ́риши я́.

A fourth part thou shalt burn in the fire in the midst of the city, at the fulfilment of the days of the siege: and thou shalt take a fourth part, and burn it up in the midst of it: and a fourth part thou shalt cut with a sword round about it: and a fourth part thou shalt scatter to the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

Четве́ртую ча́сть да сожже́ши на огни́ средѣ́ гра́да по исполне́нію дні́й затворе́нія:

And thou shalt take thence a few in number, and shalt wrap them in the fold of thy garment.

и да во́змеши четве́ртую ча́сть и сожже́ши ю́ средѣ́ гра́да, четве́ртую же ча́сть содроби́ши мече́мъ о́крестъ єго́, и четве́ртую ча́сть разсы́плеши вѣ́тромъ: и ме́чь извлеку́ вслѣ́дъ и́хъ.

And thou shalt take of these again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them up with fire: from thence shall come forth fire; and thou shalt say to the whole house of Israel,

И во́змеши отту́ду ма́ло и́хъ число́мъ и ввя́жеши я́ во оде́жду твою́: и от тѣ́хже во́змеши єще́ и вве́ржеши я́ средѣ́ огня́ и сожже́ши я́ на огни́: и от того́ изы́детъ о́гнь на ве́сь до́мъ Ізра́илевъ. И рече́ши всему́ до́му Ізра́илеву:

Thus saith the Lord; This is Jerusalem: I have set her and the countries round about her in the midst of the nations.

сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́й Ієрусали́мъ, посредѣ́ язы́ковъ положи́хъ єго́, и страны́, я́же о́крестъ єго́.

And thou shalt declare mine ordinances to the lawless one from out of the nations; and my statutes to the sinful one of the countries round about her: because they have rejected mine ordinances, and have not walked in my statutes.

И рече́ши: измѣни́ оправда́нія моя́ во беззако́ніє па́че язы́ковъ, и зако́ны моя́ па́че стра́нъ, я́же о́крестъ єго́: поне́же оправда́нія моя́ отри́нуша и по зако́номъ мои́мъ не ходи́ша въ ни́хъ.

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Because your occasion for sin has been taken from the nations round about you, and ye have not walked in my statutes, nor kept mine ordinances, nay, ye have not even done according to the ordinances of the nations round about you; therefore thus saith the Lord;

Сего́ ра́ди та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же вина́ ва́ша па́че язы́къ, и́же о́крестъ ва́съ, и не ходи́сте въ зако́нѣхъ мои́хъ и оправда́ній мои́хъ не сотвори́сте, но и по судо́мъ язы́ческимъ, я́же о́крестъ ва́съ, не сотвори́сте:

Behold, I am against thee, and I will execute judgment in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

сего́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ на тя́, и сотворю́ средѣ́ тебе́ су́дъ предъ язы́ки,

And I will do in thee things which I have not done, and the like of which I will not do again, for all thine abominations.

и сотворю́ средѣ́ тебе́, и́хже не сотвори́хъ и и́хже не сотворю́ подо́бныхъ и́мъ ктому́, по всѣ́мъ ме́рзостемъ твои́мъ.

Therefore the fathers shall eat their children in the midst of thee, and children shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and I will scatter all that are left of thee to every wind.

Сего́ ра́ди отцы́ снѣдя́тъ ча́дъ средѣ́ тебе́, и ча́да снѣдя́тъ отце́въ: и сотворю́ въ тебѣ́ суды́, и разсѣ́ю вся́ оста́вшая от тебе́ по всему́ вѣ́тру.

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord; surely, because thou hast defiled my holy things with all thine abominations, I also will reject thee; mine eye shall not spare, and I will have no mercy.

Сего́ ра́ди живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, вои́стинну поне́же свята́я моя́ оскверни́лъ єси́ всѣ́ми ме́рзостьми твои́ми, и а́зъ отри́ну тя́, и не пощади́тъ о́ко моє́, и а́зъ не поми́лую тя́.

A fourth part of thee shall be cut off by pestilence, and a fourth part of thee shall be consumed in the midst of thee with famine: and as for another fourth part of thee, I will scatter them to every wind; and a fourth part of thee shall fall by the sword round about thee, and I will draw out a sword after them.

Че́тверть тебе́ сме́ртію потреби́тся, и че́тверть тебе́ гла́домъ сконча́єтся средѣ́ тебе́, че́тверть же тебе́ паде́тъ мече́мъ о́крестъ тебе́, че́тверть же тебе́ разсы́плю по всему́ вѣ́тру, и ме́чь извлеку́ вслѣ́дъ и́хъ.

And my wrath and mine anger shall be accomplished upon them: and thou shalt know that I the Lord have spoken in my jealousy, when I have accomplished mine anger upon them.

И сконча́єтся я́рость моя́ и гнѣ́въ мо́й на ни́хъ, и утѣ́шуся, и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ во рве́ніи моє́мъ, внегда́ сконча́ти ми́ гнѣ́въ мо́й на ни́хъ.

And I will make thee desolate, and thy daughters round about thee, in the sight of every one that passes through.

И положу́ тя въ пусты́ню и во укори́зну язы́комъ су́щымъ о́крестъ тебе́ и предъ вся́кимъ проходя́щимъ.

And thou shalt be mourned over and miserable among the nations round about thee, when I have executed judgments in thee in the vengeance of my wrath. I the Lord have spoken.

И бу́деши во стена́ніє и у́жасъ, наказа́ніємъ и па́губою во язы́цѣхъ, и́же о́крестъ тебе́, єгда́ сотворю́ въ тебѣ́ суды́ во гнѣ́въ и въ я́рость и во отмще́ніє я́рости моєя́: а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ:

And when I have sent against them shafts of famine, then they shall be consumed, and I will break the strength of thy bread.

и єгда́ послю́ стрѣ́лы гла́да на ня́, и бу́дутъ во сконча́ніє, и послю́ растли́ти вы́, и гла́дъ соберу́ на вы́, и сотру́ утвержде́ніє хлѣ́ба твоєго́,

So I will send forth against thee famine and evil beasts, and I will take vengeance upon thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through upon thee; and I will bring a sword upon thee round about. I the Lord have spoken.

и испущу́ на тя́ гла́дъ и звѣ́ри лю́ты, и уму́чу тя́, сме́рть же и кро́вь про́йдутъ сквозѣ́ тя́, и ме́чь наведу́ на тя́ о́крестъ: а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, set thy face against the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them;

сы́не человѣ́чь, утверди́ лице́ твоє́ къ гора́мъ Ізра́илевымъ и прорцы́ къ ни́мъ,

and thou shalt say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord; thus saith the Lord to the mountains, and to the hills, and to the valleys, and to the forests; Behold, I bring a sword upon you, and your high places shall be utterly destroyed.

и рече́ши: го́ры Ізра́илевы, слы́шите сло́во Госпо́дне, сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь гора́мъ и холмо́мъ, и ка́менемъ и де́бремъ: се́, а́зъ наведу́ на вы́ ме́чь, и потребя́тся высоты́ ва́шя:

And your altars shall be broken to pieces, and your consecrated plats; and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

и сокруша́тся тре́бища ва́ша и кумі́рницы ва́шя, и пове́ргу я́звеныхъ ва́шихъ предъ кумі́ры ва́шими:

And I will scatter your bones round about your altars,

и да́мъ тру́пы сыно́въ Ізра́илевыхъ предъ кумі́ры и́хъ и расточу́ ко́сти ва́шя о́крестъ тре́бищъ ва́шихъ.

and in all your habitations: the cities shall be made desolate, and the high places utterly laid waste; that your altars may be destroyed, and your idols be broken to pieces, and your consecrated plats be abolished.

И во все́мъ селе́ніи ва́шемъ опустѣ́ютъ гра́ды, и высо́кая ва́ша поги́бнутъ, я́ко да потребя́тся тре́бницы ва́ши и сокруша́тся, и преста́нутъ кумі́ры ва́ши, и отве́ргутся кумі́рницы ва́шя, и потребя́тся дѣла́ ва́ша:

And slain men shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и паду́тъ я́звеніи посредѣ́ ва́съ, и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

When there are some of you escaping from the sword among the Gentiles, and when ye are scattered in the countries;

И оста́влю є́же бы́ти от ва́съ избѣ́гшымъ от меча́ во язы́цѣхъ, и въ разсы́паніи ва́шемъ во страна́хъ,

then they of you that escape among the nations whither they were carried captive shall remember me; (I have sworn an oath against their heart that goes a-whoring from me, and their eyes that go a-whoring after their practices;) and they shall mourn over themselves for all their abominations.

и помяну́тъ мя́ уцѣлѣ́вшіи от ва́съ во язы́цѣхъ, а́може бы́ша плѣне́ни: кля́хся бо се́рдцу и́хъ блуди́вшему и отста́вшему от мене́ и очесе́мъ и́хъ блуди́вшымъ вслѣ́дъ начина́ній и́хъ: и би́ти и́мутъ ли́ца своя́ о зло́бахъ, я́же твори́ша во всѣ́хъ ме́рзостехъ свои́хъ,

And they shall know that I the Lord have spoken.

и позна́ютъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь не ту́не глаго́лахъ сотвори́ти и́мъ вся́ зла́я сія́.

Thus saith the Lord; Clap with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot and say, Aha, aha! for all the abominations of the house of Israel: they shall fall by the sword, and by pestilence, and by famine.

Та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: восплещи́ руко́ю и вострепли́ ного́ю и рцы́: бла́гоже, бла́гоже о всѣ́хъ ме́рзостехъ зло́бы до́му Ізра́илева: я́ко мече́мъ и гла́домъ и сме́ртію паду́тъ.

He that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that is far off shall die by the pestilence; and he that is in the siege shall be consumed with famine: and I will accomplish mine anger upon them.

Да́льніи сме́ртію сконча́ются, а бли́жніи мече́мъ паду́тъ: оста́вшіи же и обдержи́міи гла́домъ сконча́ются: и сконча́ю гнѣ́въ мо́й на ни́хъ,

Then ye shall know that I am the Lord, when your slain are in the midst of your idols round about your altars, on every high hill, and under every shady tree, where they offered a sweet savour to all their idols.

и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь, єгда́ бу́дутъ я́звеніи ва́ши средѣ́ кумі́ръ ва́шихъ о́крестъ тре́бищъ ва́шихъ, на вся́цѣмъ хо́лмѣ высо́цѣмъ и на всѣ́хъ версѣ́хъ го́рнихъ, и подъ ду́бомъ сѣ́ннымъ и подъ вся́кимъ дре́вомъ ча́щнымъ, идѣ́же дая́ху воню́ благоуха́нія всѣ́мъ кумі́ромъ свои́мъ.

And I will stretch out my hand against them, and I will make the land desolate and ruined from the wilderness of Deblatha, in all their habitations: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

И простру́ ру́ку мою́ на ня́, положу́ зе́млю въ па́губу и въ потребле́ніє от пусты́ни Девлаѳа́, от всего́ селе́нія и́хъ: и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Also, thou, son of man, say,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Thus saith the Lord; An end is come to the land of Israel, the end is come on the four corners of the land.

и ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, рцы́: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: земли́ Ізра́илевѣ коне́цъ пріи́де, коне́цъ пріи́де на четы́ри краи́ земли́.

The end is come

Прише́лъ є́сть коне́цъ, ны́нѣ коне́цъ тебѣ́, и испущу́ я́рость мою́ на тя́, и отмщу́ тебѣ́ по путе́мъ твои́мъ, да́мъ на тя́ вся́ ме́рзости твоя́.

on thee, the inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day has drawn nigh, not with tumult, nor with pangs.

Не пощади́тъ о́ко моє́ на тя́, и не поми́лую, зане́ пу́ть тво́й на тя́ да́мъ, и ме́рзости твоя́ средѣ́ тебе́ бу́дутъ, и увѣ́си, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

Now I will pour out mine anger upon thee near at hand, and I will accomplish my wrath on thee: and I will judge thee for thy ways, and recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

Тѣ́мже сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: зло́ єди́но зло́, се́, и́детъ.

Mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy: for I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord that smite thee.

Коне́цъ прише́лъ є́сть, пріи́де коне́цъ, воста́ на тя́, се́, пріи́де.

Now the end is come to thee, and I will send judgment upon thee: and I will take vengeance on thy ways, and will recompense all thine abominations upon thee.

Пріи́де плете́ніє на тя́ живу́щаго на земли́: пріи́де вре́мя, прибли́жися де́нь, не съ молво́ю, ниже́ съ болѣ́зньми.

Mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy: for I will recompense thy way upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

Ны́нѣ избли́зу излію́ гнѣ́въ мо́й на тя́ и сконча́ю я́рость мою́ на тебѣ́, и осужду́ тя́ по путе́мъ твои́мъ и да́мъ на тя́ вся́ ме́рзости твоя́.

For thus saith the Lord; Behold, the end is come.

Не пощади́тъ о́ко моє́, и не поми́лую, зане́ пути́ твоя́ на тя́ да́мъ, и ме́рзости твоя́ посредѣ́ тебе́ бу́дутъ, и позна́єши, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь бія́й.

Behold, the day of the Lord! although the rod has blossomed,

Се́, де́нь Госпо́день прихо́дитъ, се́, коне́цъ прише́лъ є́сть, изы́де плете́ніє, и процвѣте́ же́злъ,

pride has sprung up, and will break the staff of the wicked one, and that not with tumult, nor with haste.

прозябе́ укори́зна, и сокруши́тъ утвержде́ніє беззако́нника: и не съ пли́щемъ, ни съ потща́ніємъ: и не от ни́хъ су́ть, и нѣ́сть красы́ въ ни́хъ.

The time is come, behold the day: let not the buyer rejoice, and let not the seller mourn.

Пріи́де вре́мя, прибли́жися де́нь: купу́яй да не ра́дуєтся, и продая́й да не пла́чется, я́ко гнѣ́въ на все́ мно́жество и́хъ.

For the buyer shall never again return to the seller, neither shall a man cleave with the eye of hope to his life.

Зане́же притяжава́яй ко продаю́щему ктому́ не возврати́тся, и єще́ въ жи́зни живу́щему, я́ко видѣ́ніє на все́ мно́жество и́хъ не возврати́тся, и человѣ́къ во очесѣ́хъ жи́зни своєя́ не укрѣпи́тся.

Sound ye the trumpet, and pass sentence on all together.

Воструби́те трубо́ю и разсуди́те вся́, и не бу́детъ гряду́щаго на ра́ть, я́ко гнѣ́въ мо́й на все́ мно́жество и́хъ.

There shall be war with the sword without, and famine and pestilence within: he that is in the field shall die by the sword; and famine and pestilence shall destroy them that are in the city.

Ра́ть отвнѣ́ съ мече́мъ, гла́дъ же и сме́рть извну́трь: и́же на по́ли мече́мъ сконча́єтся, су́щихъ же во гра́дѣ гла́дъ и сме́рть сконча́єтъ.

But they that escape of them shall be delivered, and shall be upon the mountains: and I will slay all the rest, every one for his iniquities.

И уцѣлѣ́ютъ спасе́нніи от ни́хъ и бу́дутъ на гора́хъ я́ко голуби́цы скорбя́ще: и всѣ́хъ избію́, коєго́ждо въ непра́вдахъ єго́.

All hands shall be completely weakened, and all thighs shall be defiled with moisture.

Вся́ ру́ки разслабѣ́ютъ, и вся́ сте́гна окаля́ются мо́кростію.

And they shall gird themselves with sackcloth, and amazement shall cover them; and shame shall be upon them, even upon every face, and baldness upon every head.

И препоя́шутся во вре́тища, и покры́єтъ я́ у́жасъ: и на вся́цѣмъ лицы́ сра́мъ на ни́хъ, и на вся́цѣй главѣ́ плѣ́шь.

Their silver shall be cast forth in the streets, and their gold shall be despised: their souls shall not be satisfied, and their bellies shall not be filled: for it was the punishment of their iniquities.

Сребро́ и́хъ на сто́гнахъ пове́ржется, и зла́то и́хъ презрѣ́но бу́детъ: сребро́ и́хъ и зла́то не возмо́жетъ изба́вити и́хъ въ де́нь гнѣ́ва Госпо́дня, ду́ши и́хъ не насы́тятся, и чрева́ и́хъ не напо́лнятся, зане́ ка́знь непра́востей и́хъ бы́сть.

As for their choice ornaments, they employed them for pride, and they made of them images of their abominations: therefore have I made them uncleanness to them.

Избра́нныя у́твари въ горды́ню положи́ша я́, и о́бразы ме́рзостей свои́хъ и гну́сности сотвори́ша от ни́хъ: сего́ ра́ди да́хъ о́ная и́мъ въ нечистоту́.

And I will deliver them into the hands of strangers to make them a prey, and to the pests of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane them.

И преда́мъ я́ въ чужді́я ру́цѣ, є́же разгра́бити я́, и губи́телемъ земли́ въ коры́сти, и оскверня́тъ я́.

And I will turn away my face from them, and they shall defile my charge, and shall go in to them unguardedly, and profane them.

И отвращу́ лице́ моє́ от ни́хъ, и оскверня́тъ стражбу́ мою́, и вни́дутъ въ ня́ неопа́сно, и оскверня́тъ я́:

And they shall work uncleanness: because the land is full of strange nations, and the city is full of iniquity.

и сотворя́тъ мяте́жъ, поне́же земля́ полна́ суда́ кро́ве, и гра́дъ по́лнъ беззако́нія.

And I will turn back the boasting of their strength; and their holy things shall be defiled.

И приведу́ злы́я язы́ки, и наслѣ́дятъ до́мы и́хъ: и отвращу́ велича́ніє крѣ́пости и́хъ, и оскверня́тся свята́я и́хъ.

And though propitiation shall come, and one shall seek peace, yet there shall be none.

И моле́ніє пріи́детъ, и взы́щетъ ми́ра, и не бу́детъ.

There shall be woe upon woe, and there shall be message upon message; and a vision shall be sought from a prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

Го́ре на го́ре бу́детъ, и вѣ́сть на вѣ́сть бу́детъ, и не бу́детъ видѣ́ніє от проро́ка, и зако́нъ поги́бнетъ от жерца́ и совѣ́тъ от ста́рецъ.

The prince shall clothe himself with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be made feeble: I will do to them according to their ways, and according to their judgments will I punish them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Ца́рь воспла́чется, и кня́зь облече́тся въ па́губу, и ру́ки люді́й земли́ разслабѣ́ютъ: по путе́мъ и́хъ сотворю́ и́мъ и по судо́мъ и́хъ отмщу́ и́мъ, и уразумѣ́ютъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the fifth month, on the fifth day of the month, I was sitting in the house, and the elders of Juda were sitting before me: and the hand of the Lord came upon me.

И бы́сть въ лѣ́то шесто́є въ шесты́й ме́сяцъ, въ пя́тый де́нь ме́сяца, а́зъ сѣдѣ́хъ въ дому́ моє́мъ, и старѣ́йшины Іу́дины сѣдя́ху предо мно́ю, и бы́сть на мнѣ́ рука́ Адонаі́ Го́спода.

And I looked, and, behold, the likeness of a man: from his loins and downwards there was fire, and from his loins upwards there was as the appearance of amber.

И ви́дѣхъ, и се́, подо́біє му́жа, от чре́слъ єго́ и да́же до ни́зу о́гнь, от чре́слъ же єго́ въ ве́рхъ єго́ я́коже видѣ́ніє зари́ и я́ко взо́ръ иле́ктра.

And he stretched forth the likeness of a hand, and took me up by the crown of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between the earth and sky, and brought me to Jerusalem in a vision of God, to the porch of the gate that looks to the north, where was the pillar of the Purchaser.

И простре́ подо́біє руки́ и взя́ мя́ за ве́рхъ главы́ моєя́, и взя́ мя́ ду́хъ средѣ́ земли́ и средѣ́ небесе́ и веде́ мя во Ієрусали́мъ въ видѣ́ніи Бо́жіи на преддве́ріє вра́тъ вну́треннѣйшихъ зря́щихъ на сѣ́веръ, идѣ́же бѣ́ сто́лпъ и о́бразъ ре́вности притяжава́ющаго.

And, behold, the glory of the Lord God of Israel was there, according to the vision which I saw in the plain.

И се́, ту́ бя́ше сла́ва Го́спода Бо́га Ізра́илева по видѣ́нію, є́же ви́дѣхъ на по́ли.

And he said to me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes toward the north. So I lifted up mine eyes toward the north, and, behold, I looked from the north toward the eastern gate.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, воззри́ очи́ма твои́ма на сѣ́веръ. И воззрѣ́хъ очи́ма мои́ма на сѣ́веръ, и се́, от сѣ́вера ко врато́мъ зря́щымъ на восто́къ тре́бника, идѣ́же о́бразъ рве́нія сего́ во вхо́дѣ.

And he said to me, Son of man, hast thou seen what these do? They commit great abominations here so that I should keep away from my sanctuary: and thou shalt see yet greater iniquities.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, ви́дѣлъ ли єси́, что́ сі́и творя́тъ? беззако́нія вели́ка до́мъ Ізра́илевъ твори́тъ здѣ́, є́же удаля́тися от святы́нь мои́хъ: є́же обрати́вся у́зриши бо́лшая беззако́нія.

And he brought me to the porch of the court.

И введе́ мя ко предвра́тію двора́, и ви́дѣхъ, и се́, сква́жня єди́на въ стѣнѣ́.

And he said to me, Son of man, dig: so I dug, and behold a door.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, раскопа́й стѣ́ну. И раскопа́хъ, и се́, две́рь єди́на.

And he said to me, Go in, and behold the iniquities which they practise here.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: вни́ди и ви́ждь беззако́нія зла́я, я́же творя́тъ сі́и здѣ́.

So I went in and looked; and beheld vain abominations, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon them round about.

И внидо́хъ и ви́дѣхъ, и се́, вся́коє подо́біє га́да и скота́, су́єтная гнуше́нія и вся́цыи кумі́ры до́му Ізра́илева напи́сани бы́ша на стѣнѣ́ всю́ду о́коло.

And seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and Jechonias the son of Saphan stood in their presence in the midst of them, and each one held his censer in his hand; and the smoke of the incense went up.

И се́дмьдесятъ муже́й от старѣ́йшинъ до́му Ізра́илева, и Ієзо́ніа сы́нъ Сафа́новъ посредѣ́ и́хъ стоя́ше предъ лице́мъ и́хъ, и кі́йждо кади́лницу свою́ имѣ́яше въ руцѣ́ своє́й, и ды́мъ кади́ла восхожда́ше.

And he said to me, Thou hast seen, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel do, each one of them in their secret chamber: because they have said, The Lord sees not; The Lord has forsaken the earth.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: ви́дѣлъ ли єси́, сы́не человѣ́чь, я́же ста́рцы до́му Ізра́илева творя́тъ здѣ́, кі́йждо и́хъ на ло́жи та́йнѣмъ своє́мъ, зане́ рѣ́ша: не ви́дитъ Госпо́дь, оста́вилъ Госпо́дь зе́млю.

And he said to me, Thou shalt see yet greater iniquities which these do.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: єще́ обрати́ся, и у́зриши беззако́нія бо́лшая, я́же сі́и творя́тъ.

And he brought me in to the porch of the house of the Lord that looks to the north; and, behold, there were women sitting there lamenting for Thammuz.

И введе́ мя въ преддве́ріє вра́тъ до́му Госпо́дня зря́щихъ на сѣ́веръ: и се́, та́мо жены́ сѣдя́щыя пла́чущяся о Ѳамму́зѣ.

And he said to me, Son of man, thou hast seen; but thou shalt yet see evil practices greater than these.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, ви́дѣлъ єси́, и єще́ у́зриши ме́рзости и́хъ бо́лшыя си́хъ.

And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and at the entrance of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty men, with their back parts toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces turned the opposite way; and these were worshipping the sun.

И введе́ мя во дво́ръ до́му Госпо́дня вну́тренній, и въ преддве́ріє хра́ма Госпо́дня, между́ Єла́момъ и между́ же́ртвенникомъ, я́ко два́десять и пя́ть муже́й, за́дняя своя́ да́вшихъ ко хра́му Госпо́дню, и ли́ца и́хъ пря́мо къ восто́ку: и сі́и покланя́ются на восто́къ со́лнцу.

And he said to me, Son of man, thou hast seen this. Is it a little thing to the house of Juda to practise the iniquities which they have practised here? for they have filled the land with iniquity: and, behold, these are as scorners.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: ви́дѣлъ єси́, сы́не человѣ́чь, єда́ ма́ло до́му Іу́дину, є́же твори́ти беззако́нія, я́же сотвори́ша здѣ́? поне́же напо́лниша зе́млю беззако́нія, и обрати́шася разгнѣ́вати мя́: и се́, сі́и простира́ютъ ло́зу а́ки руга́ющеся мнѣ́:

Therefore will I deal with them in wrath: mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy.

и а́зъ сотворю́ и́мъ съ я́ростію: не пощади́тъ о́ко моє́, и не поми́лую: и воззову́тъ во у́шы мои́ гла́сомъ вели́кимъ, и не услы́шу и́хъ.

And he cried in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, The judgment of the city has drawn nigh; and each had the weapons of destruction in his hand.

И возопи́ во у́шы мои́ гла́сомъ вели́кимъ, глаго́ля: прибли́жися отмще́ніє гра́да: и кі́йждо имѣ́яше сосу́ды истребле́нія въ руцѣ́ своє́й.

And, behold, six men came from the way of the high gate that looks toward the north, and each one's axe was in his hand; and there was one man in the midst of them clothed with a long robe down to the feet, and a sapphire girdle was on his loins: and they came in and stood near the brazen altar.

И се́, ше́сть муже́й идо́ша от пути́ вра́тъ высо́кихъ зря́щихъ на сѣ́веръ, и коєму́ждо сѣки́ра [погубле́нія] въ руцѣ́ єго́: и му́жъ єди́нъ посредѣ́ и́хъ облече́нъ въ поди́ръ, и по́ясъ от сапфі́ра о чре́слѣхъ єго́: и внидо́ша и ста́ша бли́зъ же́ртвенника мѣ́дянаго.

And the glory of the God of Israel, that was upon them, went up from the cherubs to the porch of the house. And he called the man that was clothed with the long robe, who had the girdle on his loins;

И сла́ва Бо́га Ізра́илева взы́де от херуві́мовъ су́щая на ни́хъ въ непокрове́нноє до́му: и призва́ му́жа оболче́на въ поди́ръ, и́же имѣ́яше на чре́слѣхъ свои́хъ по́ясъ.

and said to him, Go through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that groan and that grieve for all the iniquities that are done in the midst of them.

И рече́ Госпо́дь къ нему́: пройди́ средѣ́ гра́да Ієрусали́ма и да́ждь зна́менія на ли́ца муже́й стеня́щихъ и болѣ́знующихъ о всѣ́хъ беззако́ніихъ быва́ющихъ средѣ́ и́хъ.

And he said to the first in my hearing, Go after him into the city, and smite: and let not your eyes spare, and have no mercy.

И си́мъ рече́, слы́шащу мнѣ́: иди́те во гра́дъ вслѣ́дъ єго́, изсѣцы́те и не пощади́те очи́ма ва́шима и не поми́луйте:

Slay utterly old man and youth, and virgin, and infants, and women: but go ye not nigh any on whom is the mark: begin at my sanctuary. So they began with the elder men who were within in the house.

ста́рца и ю́ношу и дѣ́ву, и младе́нцы и жены́ избі́йте въ потребле́ніє: а ко всѣ́мъ, на ни́хже є́сть зна́меніє, не прикаса́йтеся: от освяще́нныхъ мои́хъ начни́те. И нача́ша от муже́й ста́рыхъ, и́же бѣ́ша вну́трь въ дому́.

And he said to them, Defile the house, and go out and fill the ways with dead bodies, and smite.

И рече́ къ ни́мъ: оскверни́те до́мъ, и напо́лните пути́ мертвеце́въ исходя́ще, и изсѣцы́те [су́щихъ во гра́дѣ].

And it came to pass as they were smiting, that I fell upon my face, and cried out, and said, Alas, O Lord! wilt thou destroy the remnant of Israel, in pouring out thy wrath upon Jerusalem?

И бы́сть внегда́ сѣча́ху и́хъ, оста́хъ а́зъ и падо́хъ ни́цъ, и возопи́хъ и рѣ́хъ: го́ре, [го́ре,] о, лю́тѣ мнѣ́, Адонаю́ Го́споди! єда́ потребля́єши ты́ оста́нки Ізра́илевы, єгда́ разлива́єши я́рость твою́ на Ієрусали́мъ?

Then said he to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Juda is become very exceedingly great: for the land is filled with many nations, and the city is filled with iniquity and uncleanness: because they have said, The Lord has forsaken the earth, The Lord looks not upon it.

И рече́ ко мнѣ́: непра́вда до́му Ізра́илева и Іу́дина возвели́чися зѣло́ зѣло́, я́ко напо́лнися земля́ люді́й мно́гихъ, и гра́дъ напо́лнися непра́вдъ и нечисто́тъ, я́ко рѣ́ша: оста́вилъ є́сть Госпо́дь зе́млю и не ви́дитъ Госпо́дь.

Therefore mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have any mercy: I have recompensed their ways upon their heads.

И а́зъ є́смь, и не пощади́тъ о́ко моє́, ни поми́лую, пути́ и́хъ на главы́ и́хъ да́хъ.

And, behold, the man clothed with the long robe, and girt with the girdle about his loins, answered and said, I have done as thou didst command me.

И се́, му́жъ, оболче́ный въ поди́ръ и препоя́санъ по́ясомъ о чре́слѣхъ свои́хъ, отвѣщава́ше, глаго́ля: сотвори́хъ, я́коже заповѣ́далъ ми́ єси́.

Then I looked, and, behold, over the firmament that was above the head of the cherubs there was a likeness of a throne over them, as a sapphire stone.

И ви́дѣхъ, и се́, верху́ тве́рди су́щія надъ главо́ю херуві́мовъ, я́ко ка́мень сапфі́ровый, подо́біє престо́ла на ни́хъ.

And he said to the man clothed with the long robe, Go in between the wheels that are under the cherubs, and fill thine hands with coals of fire from between the cherubs, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.

И рече́ къ му́жу облече́ному во у́тварь: вни́ди средѣ́ коле́съ, я́же подъ херуві́мами, и напо́лни го́рсти твоя́ у́глія о́гненнаго от среды́ херуві́мовъ и разсы́пли на гра́дъ. И вни́де предо мно́ю:

And the cherubs stood on the right hand of the house, as the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.

херуві́ми же стоя́ху одесну́ю до́му, внегда́ вхожда́ше му́жъ, и о́блакъ напо́лни дво́ръ вну́тренній.

Then the glory of the Lord departed from the cherubs to the porch of the house; and the cloud filled the house, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the Lord.

И воздви́жеся сла́ва Госпо́дня от херуві́мовъ въ непокрове́ніє до́му, и напо́лни до́мъ о́блакъ, и дво́ръ напо́лнися сія́нія сла́вы Госпо́дни:

And the sound of the cherubs' wings was heard as far as the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God speaking.

и гла́съ кри́лъ херуві́мскихъ слы́шашеся да́же до внѣ́шняго двора́, я́коже гла́съ Бо́га саддаі́ глаго́лющаго.

And it came to pass, when he gave a charge to the man clothed with the sacred robe, saying, Take fire from between the wheels from between the cherubs, that he went in, and stood near the wheels.

И бы́сть внегда́ заповѣ́даше му́жу облече́ному во у́тварь святу́ю, глаго́ля: возми́ о́гнь от среды́ коле́съ, и́же средѣ́ херуві́мовъ. И вни́де и ста́ бли́зъ коле́съ.

And he stretched forth his hand into the midst of the fire that was between the cherubs, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of the man clothed with the sacred robe: and he took it, and went out.

И простре́ херуві́мъ ру́ку свою́ въ среди́ну огня́ су́щаго средѣ́ херуві́мовъ, и взя́ и вдаде́ въ ру́цѣ оболче́ному во у́тварь святу́ю, и взя́ и изы́де.

And I saw the cherubs having the likeness of men's hands under their wings.

И ви́дѣхъ херуві́мы, и се́, подо́біє ру́къ человѣ́чихъ подъ кри́лы и́хъ.

And I saw, and behold, four wheels stood by the cherubs, one wheel by each cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the appearance of a carbuncle stone.

И ви́дѣхъ, и се́, четы́ри коле́са стоя́ху держа́щеся херуві́мовъ: ко́ло єди́но держа́шеся єди́наго херуві́ма, и ко́ло єди́но держа́шеся друга́го херуві́ма: взо́ръ же коле́съ я́коже взо́ръ ка́менія Анѳра́кса:

And as for their appearance, there was one likeness to the four, as if there should be a wheel in the midst of a wheel.

и взо́ръ и́хъ подо́біє єди́но четы́ремъ, а́кибы бы́ло ко́ло въ колеси́:

When they went, they went on their four sides; they turned not when they went, for whichever way the first head looked, they went; and they turned not as they went.

внегда́ идя́ху, на четы́ри ча́сти и́хъ идя́ху, и не обраща́хуся внегда́ идя́ху: я́ко, на не́же мѣ́сто а́ще зря́ше нача́ло єди́но, идя́ху [вслѣ́дъ єго́], и не обраща́хуся, внегда́ ити́ и́мъ.

And their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about the four wheels.

Вся́ же тѣлеса́ и́хъ и хребты́ и́хъ, и ру́цѣ и́хъ и кри́ла и́хъ и коле́са по́лна оче́съ о́крестъ четы́рехъ коле́съ.

And these wheels were called Gelgel in my hearing.

Коле́самъ же си́мъ воззва́ся ге́лгель, слы́шащу мнѣ́.

And the cherubs were the same living creature which I saw by the river of Chobar.

Четы́ри же ли́ца коєму́ждо и́хъ: єди́ному лице́ херуві́мле, лице́ же друго́му лице́ человѣ́чо, тре́тіє же лице́ льво́во и четве́ртоє лице́ о́рлеє.

And when the cherubs went, the wheels went, and they were close to them: and when the cherubs lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, their wheels turned not.

И взя́шася херуві́ми: сіє́ є́сть живо́тноє, є́же ви́дѣхъ на рѣцѣ́ Хова́ръ.

When they stood, the wheels stood; and when they mounted up, the wheels mounted up with them: because the spirit of life was in them.

И єгда́ идя́ху херуві́ми, идя́ху и коле́са и́хъ, и сі́и держа́хуся и́хъ: и внегда́ воздвиза́ху херуві́ми кри́ла своя́, є́же возвы́ситися от земли́, не обраща́хуся коле́са и́хъ, и та́ держа́хуся и́хъ:

Then the glory of the Lord departed from the house, and went up on the cherubs.

єгда́ стоя́ху ті́и, стоя́ху и они́, и внегда́ возвыша́хуся ті́и, возвыша́хуся и они́ съ ни́ми: зане́ ду́хъ жи́зни бѣ́ въ ни́хъ.

And the cherubs lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went forth, the wheels were also beside them, and they stood at the entrance of the front gate of the house of the Lord; and the glory of the God of Israel was upon them above.

И изы́де сла́ва Госпо́дня от непокрове́нія до́му и взы́де на херуві́мы.

This is the living creature which I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chobar; and I knew that they were cherubs.

И воздвиго́ша херуві́ми кри́ла своя́ и возвы́сишася от земли́ предо мно́ю: єгда́ изыдо́ша ті́и, и коле́са держа́хуся и́хъ: и ста́ша надъ преддве́ріємъ вра́тъ до́му Госпо́дня, я́же проти́ву восто́ку, и сла́ва Го́спода Бо́га Ізра́илева бѣ́ надъ ни́ми свы́ше.

Each one had four faces, and each one had eight wings; and under their wings was the likeness of men's hands.

Сіє́ живо́тноє є́сть, є́же ви́дѣхъ подъ Бо́гомъ Ізра́илевымъ на рѣцѣ́ Хова́ръ, и позна́хъ, я́ко херуві́ми су́ть.

And as for the likeness of their faces, these are the same faces which I saw under the glory of the God of Israel by the river of Chobar: and they went each straight forward.

Четы́ри ли́ца єди́ному, и четы́ри кри́ла єди́ному, и подо́біє ру́къ человѣ́чихъ подъ кри́лы и́хъ.

Moreover the Spirit took me up, and brought me to the front gate of the house of the Lord, that looks eastward: and behold at the entrance of the gate were about five and twenty men; and I saw in the midst of them Jechonias the son of Ezer, and Phaltias the son of Banæas, the leaders of the people.

И воздви́же мя́ ду́хъ и возведе́ мя́ ко врато́мъ до́му Госпо́дня, я́же пря́мо зря́тъ на восто́къ: и се́, предъ преддве́ріємъ вра́тъ я́ко два́десять и пя́ть муже́й: и ви́дѣхъ средѣ́ и́хъ Ієхоні́ю сы́на Іазе́рова и Фалті́ю ване́ова, старѣ́йшины людскі́я.

And the Lord said to me, Son of man, these are the men that devise vanities, and take evil counsel in this city:

И рече́ Госпо́дь ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, сі́и му́жіє помышля́ющіи су́єтная и совѣ́тъ творя́щіи лука́въ во гра́дѣ се́мъ,

who say, Have not the houses been newly built? This is the caldron, and we are the flesh.

глаго́лющіи: не въ но́вѣ ли согради́шася до́мове? се́й є́сть коно́бъ, мы́ же мяса́.

Therefore prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man.

Сего́ ра́ди прорцы́ на ня́, прорцы́, сы́не человѣ́чь.

And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me, say; Thus saith the Lord; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: and I know the devices of your spirit.

И нападе́ на мя́ Ду́хъ Госпо́день и рече́ ко мнѣ́: глаго́ли, сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: та́ко реко́сте, до́ме Ізра́илевъ, и умышле́нія ду́ха ва́шего а́зъ вѣ́мъ:

Ye have multiplied your dead in this city, and ye have filled your ways with slain men.

умно́жисте мертвецы́ ва́шя во гра́дѣ се́мъ и напо́лнисте пути́ єго́ я́звенныхъ.

Therefore thus saith the Lord; Your dead whom ye have smitten in the midst of it, these are the flesh, and thiscity is the caldron: but I will bring you forth out of the midst of it.

Того́ ра́ди та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: мертвецы́ ва́ши, я́же изби́сте средѣ́ єго́, ті́и су́ть мяса́, а се́й коно́бъ є́сть, и ва́съ изведу́ от среды́ єго́.

Ye fear the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you, saith the Lord.

Меча́ боите́ся, и ме́чь наведу́ на ва́съ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь:

And I will bring you forth out of the midst of it, and will deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.

и изведу́ ва́съ от среды́ єго́ и преда́мъ ва́съ въ ру́цѣ чужди́хъ и сотворю́ въ ва́съ су́дъ:

Ye shall fall by the sword; I will judge you on the mountains of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

мече́мъ паде́те, на гора́хъ Ізра́илевыхъ сужду́ ва́мъ, и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь:

And it came to pass, while I was prophesying, that Phaltias the son of Banæas died. And I fell upon my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, Alas, alas, O Lord! wilt thou utterly destroy the remnant of Israel?

то́й не бу́детъ ва́мъ въ коно́бъ, и вы́ не бу́дете посредѣ́ єго́ въ мяса́: на гора́хъ Ізра́илевыхъ сужду́ ва́мъ,

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь, я́ко по за́повѣдемъ мои́мъ не ходи́сте и судо́въ мои́хъ не сотвори́сте, но по обы́чаємъ язы́ковъ су́щихъ о́крестъ ва́съ сотвори́сте.

Son of man, thy brethren, and the men of thy captivity, and all the house of Israel are come to the full, to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem said, Keep ye far away from the Lord: the land is given to us for an inheritance.

И бы́сть внегда́ прорица́ти ми́, и Фалті́а сы́нъ ване́овъ у́мре: и падо́хъ ни́цъ и возопи́хъ гла́сомъ вели́кимъ, глаго́ля: го́ре мнѣ́, лю́тѣ мнѣ́, Адонаю́ Го́споди! на сконча́ніє ли твори́ши ты́ оста́нки Ізра́илевы?

Therefore say thou, Thus saith the Lord; I will cast them off among the nations, and will disperse them into every land, yet will I be to them for a little sanctuary in the countries which they shall enter.

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Therefore say thou, Thus saith the Lord; I will also take them from the heathen, and gather them out of the lands wherein I have scattered them, and will give them the land of Israel.

сы́не человѣ́чь, бра́тія твоя́ и му́жіє плѣ́на твоєго́ и ве́сь до́мъ Ізра́илевъ сконча́ся, и́мже реко́ша живу́щіи во Ієрусали́мѣ: дале́че удали́теся от Го́спода, на́мъ дана́ є́сть земля́ въ наслѣ́діє.

And they shall enter in there, and shall remove all the abominations of it, and all its iniquities from it.

Сего́ ра́ди реко́хъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: я́ко отри́ну я́ во язы́ки и разсѣ́ю я́ по все́й земли́, и бу́ду и́мъ во освяще́ніє ма́ло во страна́хъ, а́може вни́дутъ та́мо.

And I will give them another heart, and will put a new spirit within them; and will extract the heart of stone from their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh:

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: и пріиму́ я́ от язы́къ и соберу́ я́ от стра́нъ, идѣ́же разсѣ́яхъ я́ въ ни́хъ, и да́мъ и́мъ зе́млю Ізра́илеву:

that they may walk in my commandments, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be to me a people, and I will be to them a God.

и вни́дутъ та́мо и отве́ргутъ вся́ ме́рзости єя́ и вся́ беззако́нія єя́ от нея́:

And as for the heart set upon their abominations and their iniquities, as their heart went after them, I have recompensed their ways on their heads, saith the Lord.

и да́мъ и́мъ се́рдце и́но и ду́хъ но́въ да́мъ и́мъ, и исто́ргну ка́менноє се́рдце от пло́ти и́хъ и да́мъ и́мъ се́рдце пло́тяно,

Then the cherubs lifted up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

я́ко да въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ хо́дятъ и оправда́нія моя́ сохраня́тъ и сотворя́тъ я́: и бу́дутъ ми́ въ лю́ди, и а́зъ и́мъ бу́ду въ Бо́га.

And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city, and stood on the mountain which was in front of the city.

А и́хже се́рдце по гну́сностемъ и́хъ и по беззако́ніємъ и́хъ хо́дитъ, пути́ тѣ́хъ на главы́ и́хъ положу́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the Spirit took me up, and brought me to the land of the Chaldeans, to the captivity, in a vision by the Spirit of God: and I went up after the vision which I saw.

И воздвиго́ша херуві́ми кри́ла своя́, и коле́са держа́щаяся и́хъ: сла́ва же Бо́га Ізра́илева бѣ́ на ни́хъ свы́ше и́хъ.

And I spoke to the captivity all the words of the Lord which he had shewed me.

И взы́де сла́ва Госпо́дня от среды́ гра́да и ста́ на горѣ́, я́же бя́ше пря́мо гра́да на восто́къ.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the iniquities of those, who have eyes to see, and see not; and have ears to hear, and hear not: because it is a provoking house.

сы́не человѣ́чь, посредѣ́ непра́вдъ и́хъ ты́ живе́ши, и́же о́чи и́мутъ ви́дѣти, и не ви́дятъ, и у́шы и́мутъ є́же слы́шати, и не слы́шатъ, зане́ до́мъ преогорчева́яй є́сть.

Thou therefore, son of man, prepare thyself baggage for going into captivity by day in their sight; and thou shalt be led into captivity from thy place into another place in their sight; that they may see that it is a provoking house.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, сотвори́ себѣ́ сосу́ды плѣ́ннически, и плѣне́нъ бу́ди дне́мъ предъ ни́ми, и преселе́нъ бу́ди от мѣ́ста твоєго́ на мѣ́сто друго́є предъ ни́ми, я́ко да ви́дятъ, зане́ до́мъ прогнѣвля́яй є́сть.

And thou shalt carry forth thy baggage, baggage for captivity, by day before their eyes: and thou shalt go forth at even, as a captive goes forth, in their sight.

И да изнесе́ши сосу́ды твоя́, я́ко сосу́дъ плѣ́нническій, дне́мъ предъ очи́ма и́хъ: ты́ же изы́деши въ ве́черъ предъ ни́ми, я́коже исхо́дитъ плѣ́нникъ.

Dig for thyself into the wall of the house, and thou shalt pass through it in their sight:

Прокопа́й себѣ́ стѣ́ну, и да изы́деши сквозѣ́ ю́ предъ ни́ми.

thou shalt be lifted up on men's shoulders, and shalt go forth in secret: thou shalt cover thy face, and shalt not see the ground: because I have made thee a sign to the house of Israel.

На ра́менѣхъ взя́тъ бу́деши и покрове́нъ изы́деши, лице́ твоє́ покры́єши, и да не ви́диши земли́, поне́же чу́до тя́ да́хъ до́му Ізра́илеву.

And I did thus according to all that he commanded me; and I carried forth my baggage for captivity by day, and in the evening I dug through the wall for myself, and went out secretly; I was taken up on men's shoulders before them.

И сотвори́хъ та́ко все́, єли́ко ми́ заповѣ́да Госпо́дь: и сосу́ды изнесо́хъ я́ко сосу́ды плѣ́нничы дне́мъ, и въ ве́черъ прокопа́хъ себѣ́ стѣ́ну руко́ю, и о́тай изыдо́хъ, и на ра́мена взя́тъ бы́хъ предъ ни́ми.

And the word of the Lord came to me in the morning, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне зау́тра ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, have not the house of Israel, the provoking house, said to thee, What doest thou?

сы́не человѣ́чь, не рѣ́ша ли къ тебѣ́ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ, до́мъ прогнѣвля́яй: что́ ты твори́ши?

Say to them, Thus saith the Lord God, the Prince and the Ruler in Israel, even to all the house of Israel who are in the midst of them:

Рцы́ къ ни́мъ: та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ: ко кня́зю и старѣ́йшинамъ Ієрусали́млимъ, и всему́ до́му Ізра́илеву, и́же су́ть средѣ́ и́хъ,

say, I am performing signs: as I have done, so shall it be to him: they shall go into banishment and captivity.

рцы́, я́ко а́зъ чудеса́ творю́, я́коже сотвори́хъ, си́це и́мъ бу́детъ: во преселе́ніи и во плѣне́ніи изы́дутъ.

And the prince in the midst of them shall be borne upon shoulders, and shall go forth in secret through the wall, and shall dig so that he may go forth thereby: he shall cover his face, that he may not be seen by any eye, and he himself shall not see the ground.

И кня́зь средѣ́ и́хъ на ра́мена взя́тъ бу́детъ, и о́тай изы́детъ сквозѣ́ стѣ́ну, и прокопа́єтъ, є́же єму́ изы́ти сквозѣ́ ю́, лице́ своє́ покры́єтъ, да не ви́димь бу́детъ очесы́, и са́мъ земли́ не у́зритъ.

And I will spread out my net upon him, and he shall be caught in my toils: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, though he shall die there.

И простру́ мре́жу мою́ на́нь, и я́тъ бу́детъ во одержа́ніи моє́мъ, и введу́ єго́ въ Вавило́нъ въ зе́млю Халде́йску, и не у́зритъ єя́, и та́мо сконча́єтся.

And I will scatter to every wind all his assistants round about him, and all that help him; and I will draw out a sword after them.

И вся́, и́же о́крестъ єго́, помо́щники єго́, и вся́ заступа́ющыя єго́ разсѣ́ю по всѣ́мъ вѣ́тромъ, и ме́чь излію́ вслѣ́дъ и́хъ:

And they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have scattered them among the nations; and I will disperse them in the countries.

и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь, и єгда́ разсы́плю я́ во язы́ки и разсѣ́ю я́ по страна́мъ:

And I will leave of them a few men in number spared from the sword, and from famine, and from pestilence; that they may declare all their iniquities among the nations whither they have gone; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

и оста́влю от ни́хъ му́жы въ число́ от меча́ и от гла́да и от сме́рти, я́ко да повѣ́дятъ вся́ беззако́нія и́хъ во язы́цѣхъ, а́може вни́дутъ: и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, eat thy bread with sorrow, and drink thy water with torment and affliction.

сы́не человѣ́чь, хлѣ́бъ тво́й съ болѣ́знію снѣ́си и во́ду твою́ со страда́ніємъ и ско́рбію испіє́ши.

And thou shalt say to the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord to the inhabitants of Jerusalem on the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread in scarcity, and shall drink their water in desolation, that the land may be desolate with all that it contains: for all that dwell in it are ungodly.

И рече́ши къ лю́демъ земли́: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь живу́щымъ во Ієрусали́мѣ на земли́ Ізра́илевѣ: хлѣ́бы своя́ съ недоста́ткомъ снѣдя́тъ и во́ду свою́ съ па́губою испію́тъ: я́ко да поги́бнетъ земля́ со исполне́ніємъ свои́мъ, въ нече́стіи бо вси́ живу́щіи въ не́й.

And their inhabited cities shall be laid utterly waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

И гра́ди и́хъ населе́нніи опустѣ́ютъ, и земля́ и́хъ въ поги́бель бу́детъ, и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, what is your parable on the land of Israel, that ye say, The days are long, the vision has perished?

сы́не человѣ́чь, ка́я при́тча сія́ ва́мъ на земли́ Ізра́илевѣ, глаго́лющымъ: до́лги дни́, поги́бе вся́коє видѣ́ніє?

Therefore say to them, Thus saith the Lord; I will even set aside this parable, and the house of Israel shall no more at all use this parable: for thou shalt say to them, The days are at hand, and the import of every vision.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́ къ ни́мъ: та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: отвращу́ при́тчу сію́, и пото́мъ не реку́тъ при́тчи тоя́ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ, я́ко рече́ши къ ни́мъ: прибли́жишася дні́є и сло́во вся́каго видѣ́нія.

For there shall no more be any false vision, nor any one prophesying flatteries in the midst of the children of Israel.

Зане́ не бу́детъ ктому́ вся́коє видѣ́ніє ло́жноє, и волхву́яй уго́дная средѣ́ сыно́въ Ізра́илевыхъ.

For I the Lord will speak my words; I will speak and perform them, and will no more delay, for in your days, O provoking house, I will speak the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord.

Я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь возглаго́лю словеса́ моя́, возглаго́лю и сотворю́ и не продолжу́ ктому́: во дни́ ва́шя, до́ме прогнѣ́ваяй, реку́ сло́во и сотворю́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, behold, the provoking house of Israel boldly say, The vision which this man sees is for many days, and he prophesies for times afar off.

сы́не человѣ́чь, се́, до́мъ Ізра́илевъ преогорчева́яй глаго́люще глаго́лютъ: видѣ́ніє, є́же се́й ви́дитъ, на дни́ мно́ги, и на времена́ до́лга се́й прорица́єтъ.

Therefore say to them, Thus saith the Lord; Henceforth none of my words shall linger, which I shall speak: I will speak and do, saith the Lord.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́ къ ни́мъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ: не продолжа́тся ктому́ вся́ словеса́ моя́, я́же возглаго́лю: я́ко возглаго́лю сло́во и сотворю́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, and thou shalt prophesy, and shalt say to them, Hear ye the word of the Lord:

сы́не человѣ́чь, прорцы́ на проро́ки Ізра́илевы прорица́ющыя и рече́ши проро́комъ прорица́ющымъ от се́рдца своєго́, и прорцы́ и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: слы́шите сло́во Госпо́дне,

Thus saith the Lord, Woe to them that prophesy out of their own heart, and who see nothing at all.

сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: лю́тѣ прорица́ющымъ от се́рдца своєго́, ходя́щымъ вслѣ́дъ ду́ха своєго́, а отню́дъ не ви́дящымъ.

Thy prophets, O Israel, are like foxes in the deserts.

Я́коже лиси́цы въ пусты́ни, [та́ко] проро́цы твои́ [бы́ша], Ізра́илю!

They have not continued steadfast, and they have gathered flocks against the house of Israel, they that say,

Не ста́ша на тве́рди и собра́ша стада́ къ до́му Ізра́илеву: не воста́ша глаго́лющіи въ де́нь Госпо́день,

In the day of the Lord, have not stood, seeing false visions, prophesying vanities, who say, The Lord saith, and the Lord has not sent them, and they began to try to confirm the word.

ви́дящіи ло́жная и волхву́ющіи су́єтная, глаго́люще, та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь, Госпо́дь же не посла́ и́хъ, и нача́ша возставля́ти сло́во.

Have ye not seen a false vision? and spoken vain prophecies?

Не ло́жноє ли у́бо видѣ́ніє ви́дѣсте и волхвова́нія су́єтная реко́сте? глаго́лете, рече́ Госпо́дь: а́зъ же не глаго́лахъ.

And therefore say, Thus saith the Lord; Because your words are false, and your prophecies are vain, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же словеса́ ва́ша лжи́ва и волхвова́нія ва́ша су́єтна, того́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ на вы́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь,

And I will stretch forth my hand against the prophets that see false visions, and those that utter vanities: they shall not partake of the instruction of my people, neither shall they be written in the roll of the house of Israel, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

и простру́ ру́ку мою́ на проро́ки ви́дящыя лжу́ и провѣщава́ющыя су́єтная: въ наказа́ніи люді́й мои́хъ не бу́дутъ, и въ писа́ніи до́му Ізра́илева не впи́шутся, и въ зе́млю Ізра́илеву не вни́дутъ, и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Because they have caused my people to err, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and one builds a wall, and they plaster it,—it shall fall.

Поне́же прельсти́ша люді́й мои́хъ, глаго́люще: ми́ръ, ми́ръ: и не бя́ше ми́ра: и се́й согражда́єтъ стѣ́ну, а они́ помазу́ютъ ю́, паде́тся.

Say to them that plaster it, It shall fall; and there shall be a flooding rain; and I will send great stones upon their joinings, and they shall fall; and there shall be a sweeping wind, and it shall be broken.

Глаго́ли къ помазу́ющымъ ю́: паде́тся, и бу́детъ ту́ча потопля́ющая, и да́мъ ка́меніє стрѣ́льноє въ сву́зы и́хъ, и паду́тся, и вѣ́тръ воздви́жущь разме́щетъ, и разся́дется.

And lo! the wall has fallen; and will they not say to you, Where is your plaster wherewith ye plastered it?

И се́, паде́ся стѣна́, и не реку́тъ ли къ ва́мъ: гдѣ́ є́сть пома́заніє ва́ше, и́мже пома́засте?

Therefore thus saith the Lord; I will even cause to burst forth a sweeping blast with fury, and there shall be a flooding rain in my wrath; and in my fury I will bring on great stones for complete destruction.

Того́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: и наве́ргу бу́рю разоря́ющую со я́ростію, и ту́ча потопля́ющи гнѣ́вомъ мои́мъ бу́детъ, и ка́меніє стрѣ́льноє наведу́ я́ростію во сконча́ніє:

And I will break down the wall which ye have plastered, and it shall fall; and I will lay it on the ground, and its foundations shall be discovered, and it shall fall; and ye shall be consumed with rebukes: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и раскопа́ю стѣ́ну, ю́же пома́засте, и паде́тся, и положу́ ю́ на земли́, и откры́ются основа́нія єя́, и паде́тся, и сконча́єтеся со обличе́ніємъ и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь:

And I will accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that plaster it; it shall fall: and I said to you, The wall is not, nor they that plaster it,

и сконча́ю я́рость мою́ на стѣнѣ́ и на помазу́ющихъ ю́, и паде́тъ. И реко́хъ къ ва́мъ: нѣ́сть стѣны́, ни помазу́ющихъ єя́,

even the prophets of Israel, who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord.

проро́цы Ізра́илевы, прорица́ющіи на Ієрусали́мъ и ви́дящіи єму́ ми́ръ, и нѣ́сть ми́ра, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And thou, son of man, set thy face firmly against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, утверди́ лице́ твоє́ на дще́ри люді́й твои́хъ, на прорица́ющыя от се́рдца своєго́, и прорцы́ на ни́хъ,

And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord, Woe to the women that sew pillows under every elbow, and make kerchiefs on the head of every stature to pervert souls! The souls of my people are perverted, and they have saved souls alive.

и рече́ши: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: го́ре сшива́ющымъ возгла́війцы подъ вся́кій ла́коть руки́ и сотворя́ющымъ покрыва́ла надъ вся́кую главу́ вся́каго во́зраста, є́же разврати́ти ду́шы: ду́ши разврати́шася люді́й мои́хъ, и ду́шъ снабдѣва́ху:

And they have dishonoured me before my people for a handful of barley, and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls which should not die, and to save alive the souls which should not live, while ye speak to a people hearing vain speeches.

и осквернавля́ху мя́ у люді́й мои́хъ, го́рсти ра́ди ячме́не и ра́ди укру́ха хлѣ́ба, є́же изби́ти ду́шы, и́мже не подоба́ше умре́ти, и оживи́ти ду́шы, и́мже не подоба́ше жи́ти, провѣща́юще лю́демъ мои́мъ, послу́шающымъ лжи́выхъ провѣща́ній.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I am against your pillows, whereby ye there confound souls, and I will tear them away from your arms, and will set at liberty their souls which ye pervert to scatter them.

Сего́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ на возгла́вія ва́ша, и́миже вы́ развраща́єте ду́шы та́мо: и отто́ргну я́ от мы́шцей ва́шихъ, и послю́ ду́шы, я́же вы́ развраща́сте ду́шы и́хъ на разсы́паніє,

And I will tear your kerchiefs, and will rescue my people out of your hand, and they shall no longer be in your hands to be confounded; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и растерза́ю покрыва́ла ва́ша, и отиму́ лю́ди моя́ от руки́ ва́шея, и ктому́ не бу́дутъ въ рука́хъ ва́шихъ на развраще́ніє, и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь:

Because ye have perverted the heart of the righteous, whereas I perverted him not, and that in order to strengthen the hands of the wicked, that he should not at all turn from his evil way and live:

поне́же развраща́сте се́рдце пра́веднаго непра́ведно, а́зъ же не развраща́хъ єго́, и укрѣпля́сте ру́цѣ беззако́ннику, є́же отню́дъ не обрати́тися єму́ от пути́ єго́ зла́го и жи́ву бы́ти єму́,

therefore ye shall not see false visions, and ye shall no more utter prophecies: but I will deliver my people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

сего́ ра́ди не у́зрите лжи́, и волхвова́нія ктому́ не и́мате волхвова́ти: и изба́влю лю́ди моя́ от ру́къ ва́шихъ, и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

And there came to me men of the people of Israel, of the elders, and sat before me.

И пріидо́ша ко мнѣ́ му́жіє от ста́рецъ Ізра́илевыхъ и сѣдо́ша предо мно́ю.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, these men have conceived their devices in their hearts, and have set before their faces the punishment of their iniquities: shall I indeed answer them?

сы́не человѣ́чь, му́жіє сі́и положи́ша помышле́нія своя́ на сердца́хъ свои́хъ и муче́ніє непра́вдъ свои́хъ поста́виша предъ лице́мъ свои́мъ: а́ще отвѣща́яй отвѣща́ю и́мъ?

Therefore speak to them, and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord; Any man of the house of Israel, who shall conceive his devices in his heart, and shall set the punishment of his iniquity before his face, and shall come to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him according to the things in which his mind is entangled,

Сего́ ра́ди глаго́ли къ ни́мъ и рече́ши и́мъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: человѣ́къ человѣ́къ от до́му Ізра́илева, и́же а́ще положи́тъ мы́сли своя́ въ се́рдцы своє́мъ и муче́ніє непра́вды своєя́ учини́тъ предъ лице́мъ свои́мъ и пріи́детъ ко проро́ку, а́зъ Госпо́дь отвѣща́ю єму́ о си́хъ, и́миже держи́тся мы́сль єго́:

that he should turn aside the house of Israel, according to their hearts that are estranged from me in their thoughts.

я́ко да уклоня́тъ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ сердца́мъ и́хъ удале́нымъ от мене́ помышле́ньми и́хъ.

Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, Be converted, and turn from your evil practices, and from all your sins, and turn your faces back again.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́ до́му Ізра́илеву: сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ: обрати́теся и отврати́теся от начина́ній ва́шихъ и от всѣ́хъ нече́стій ва́шихъ, и обрати́те ли́ца ва́ша ко мнѣ́:

For any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who shall separate himself from me, and conceive his imaginations in his heart, and set before his face the punishment of his iniquity, and come to the prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the Lord will answer him, according to the things wherein he is entangled.

зане́ человѣ́къ человѣ́къ от до́му Ізра́илева и от прише́лцевъ прише́дшихъ ко Ізра́илеви, и́же а́ще удали́тся от мене́ и положи́тъ мы́сли своя́ на се́рдцы своє́мъ и муче́ніє непра́вды своєя́ учини́тъ предъ лице́мъ свои́мъ и пріи́детъ ко проро́ку є́же вопроси́ти єму́ мене́, а́зъ Госпо́дь отвѣща́ю єму́, въ не́мже держи́тся о́нъ,

And I will set my face against that man, and will make him desolate and ruined, and will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и утвержу́ лице́ моє́ на человѣ́ка того́ и положу́ єго́ въ поги́бель и въ потребле́ніє и изве́ргу єго́ от среды́ люді́й мои́хъ, и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

And if a prophet should cause to err and should speak, I the Lord have caused that prophet to err, and will stretch out my hand upon him, and will utterly destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

И проро́къ а́ще прельсти́тся и рече́тъ сло́во, а́зъ Госпо́дь прельсти́хъ проро́ка того́, и простру́ ру́ку мою́ на́нь и потреблю́ єго́ от среды́ люді́й Ізра́илевыхъ.

And they shall bear their iniquity according to the trespass of him that asks; and it shall be in like manner to the prophet according to the trespass:

И пріи́мутъ непра́вду свою́ по непра́вдѣ вопроша́ющаго, и по непра́вдѣ та́кожде проро́ку бу́детъ,

that the house of Israel may no more go astray from me, and that they may no more defile themselves with any of their transgressions: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God, saith the Lord.

я́ко да не прельща́єтся ктому́ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ от мене́, и да не оскверня́ются ктому́ во всѣ́хъ грѣсѣ́хъ свои́хъ, и бу́дутъ ми́ въ лю́ди, а́зъ же бу́ду и́мъ въ Бо́га, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, if a land shall sin against me by committing a trespass, then will I stretch out my hand upon it, and will break its staff of bread, and will send forth famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast.

сы́не человѣ́чь, земля́ а́ще согрѣши́тъ ми́, є́же па́стися грѣхо́мъ, простру́ ру́ку мою́ на ню́ и сотру́ утвержде́ніє хлѣ́бноє и пущу́ на ню́ гла́дъ и возму́ съ нея́ человѣ́ки и скоты́,

And though these three men should be in the midst of it, Noe, and Daniel, and Job, they alone should be delivered by their righteousness, saith the Lord.

и а́ще бу́дутъ сі́и тріє́ му́жіє средѣ́ єя́, Но́є и даніи́лъ и і́овъ, ті́и во пра́вдѣ своє́й спасу́тся, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь:

If again I bring evil beasts upon the land, and take vengeance upon it, and it be ruined, and there be no one to pass through for fear of the wild beasts:

а́ще и звѣ́ри злы́я напущу́ на зе́млю и уму́чу ю́, и бу́детъ въ па́губу, и не бу́детъ проходя́щаго сквозѣ́ ю́ от лица́ звѣре́й,

and if these three men should be in the midst of it, as I live, saith the Lord, neither sons nor daughters shall be saved, but these only shall be saved, and the land shall be destroyed.

и а́ще бу́дутъ тріє́ сі́и му́жіє средѣ́ єя́, живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, ни сы́нове, ни дще́ри и́хъ спасу́тся, но то́кмо сі́и єди́ни спасу́тся, а земля́ въ потребле́ніє бу́детъ:

Or again if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Let the sword go through the land; and I cut off from them man and beast:

а́ще же наведу́ на ту́ зе́млю ме́чь и реку́: ме́чь да про́йдетъ зе́млю, и возму́ от нея́ человѣ́ка и скота́,

though these three men were in the midst of it, as I live, saith the Lord, they shall not deliver sons or daughters, but they only shall be saved themselves.

и тріє́ му́жіє сі́и бу́дутъ средѣ́ єя́, живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, не изба́вятъ ни сыно́въ, ни дще́рей свои́хъ, но ті́и єди́ни спасу́тся:

Or if again I send pestilence upon that land, and pour out my wrath upon it in blood, to destroy from off it man and beast:

а́ще же и сме́рть пущу́ на зе́млю о́ну и излію́ я́рость мою́ на ню́ въ кро́ви, є́же потреби́ти от нея́ человѣ́ки и скоты́,

and should Noe, and Daniel, and Job, be in the midst of it, as I live, saith the Lord, there shall be left them neither sons nor daughters; only they by their righteousness shall deliver their souls.

Но́є же и даніи́лъ и і́овъ бу́дутъ посредѣ́ єя́, живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, ни сы́нове, ни дще́ри не оста́нутъ и́мъ, ті́и же во пра́вдѣ своє́й спасу́тся и изба́вятъ ду́шы своя́.

Thus saith the Lord, And if I even send upon Jerusalem my four sore judgments, sword, and famine, and evil beasts, and pestilence, to destroy from out of it man and beast;

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: а́ще же и четы́ри ме́сти моя́ лю́тыя пущу́ на Ієрусали́ма, ме́чь и гла́дъ, и звѣ́ри лю́ты и сме́рть, є́же потреби́ти от него́ человѣ́ки и скоты́,

yet, behold, there shall be men left in it, the escaped thereof, who shall lead forth of it sons and daughters: behold, they shall go forth to you, and ye shall see their ways and their thoughts: and ye shall mourn over the evils which I have brought upon Jerusalem, even all the evils which I have brought upon it.

и се́, оста́влени въ не́мъ спасе́нніи от него́, сі́и изведу́тъ сы́ны и дще́ри: се́, ті́и изы́дутъ къ ва́мъ, и у́зрите пути́ и́хъ и помышле́нія и́хъ, и раска́єтеся от злы́хъ, я́же наведо́хъ на Ієрусали́мъ, вся́ зла́я, я́же наведо́хъ на́нь,

And they shall comfort you, because ye shall see their ways and their thoughts: and ye shall know that I have not done in vain all that I have done in it, saith the Lord.

и утѣ́шатъ ва́съ: поне́же у́зрите пути́ и́хъ и умышле́нія и́хъ, и уразумѣ́єте, я́ко не всу́є сотвори́лъ є́смь вся́, єли́ка сотвори́хъ въ не́мъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

And thou, son of man—of all the wood of the branches that are among the trees of the forest, what shall be made of the wood of the vine?

сы́не человѣ́чь, что́ бы́ло бы дре́во ло́зноє от всѣ́хъ древе́съ гро́здныхъ, су́щихъ во древесѣ́хъ дубра́вныхъ?

Will they take wood of it to make it fit for work? will they take of it a peg to hang any vessel upon it?

А́ще во́змутъ от него́ дре́во, є́же сотвори́ти дѣ́ло? и а́ще во́змутъ ко́лъ от него́, є́же обѣ́сити на не́мъ кі́й либо сосу́дъ?

It is only given to the fire to be consumed; the fire consumes that which is yearly pruned of it, and it is utterly gone. Will it be useful for any work?

Ра́звѣ є́же огне́ви преда́стся на потребле́ніє, лѣ́тнеє очище́ніє єго́ потребля́єтъ о́гнь, и исчеза́єтъ до конца́: єда́ потре́бно бу́детъ на дѣ́ло?

Not even while it is yet whole will it be useful for any work: if the fire shall have utterly consumed it, will it still be fit for work?

И єще́ цѣ́лу єму́ су́щу не бу́детъ на дѣ́ло, кольми́ па́че а́ще о́гнь є́ попали́тъ до конца́, бу́детъ ли на дѣ́ло пото́мъ?

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord, As the vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given up to the fire to be consumed, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́: си́це глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ: я́коже лоза́ віногра́дная во дре́вѣхъ дубра́вныхъ, ю́же да́хъ на потребле́ніє огне́ви, та́ко да́мъ живу́щыя во Ієрусали́мѣ:

And I will set my face against them; they shall go forth of the fire, and yet fire shall devour them; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have set my face against them.

и да́мъ лице́ моє́ на ня́, от огня́ изы́дутъ, и о́гнь поя́стъ я́: и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь, єгда́ утвержду́ лице́ моє́ на ни́хъ:

And I will give up the land to ruin, because they have utterly transgressed, saith the Lord.

и да́мъ зе́млю въ па́губу, зане́ впадо́ша въ грѣ́хъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, testify to Jerusalem of her iniquities;

сы́не человѣ́чь, засвидѣ́телствуй Ієрусали́му беззако́нія єго́

and thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord to Jerusalem; Thy root and thy birth are of the land of Chanaan: thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother a Chettite.

и рече́ши: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь дще́ри Ієрусали́мстѣй: ко́рень тво́й и бытіє́ твоє́ от земли́ Ханане́йски: оте́цъ тво́й Аморре́анинъ и ма́ти твоя́ Хетте́аныня:

And as for thy birth in the day wherein thou wast born, thou didst not bind thy breasts, and thou wast not washed in water, neither wast thou salted with salt, neither wast thou swathed in swaddling-bands.

и рожде́ніє твоє́, въ о́ньже де́нь роди́лася єси́, не обяза́ша сосе́цъ твои́хъ {Євр.: не отрѣ́заша ти́ пу́па.}, и водо́ю не омы́ша тя́ на спасе́ніє, ни со́лію осоли́ша, ниже́ пелена́ми пови́ша:

Nor did mine eye pity thee, to do for thee one of all these things, to feel at all for thee; but thou wast cast out on the face of the field, because of the deformity of thy person, in the day wherein thou wast born.

и не пощадѣ́ тебе́ о́ко моє́, є́же сотвори́ти тебѣ́ єди́но от всѣ́хъ си́хъ, пострада́ти что́ о тебѣ́, и отве́ржена была́ єси́ на лице́ по́ля стро́потствомъ души́ твоєя́, въ де́нь въ о́ньже роди́лася єси́.

And I passed by to thee, and saw thee polluted in thy blood; and I said to thee, Let there be life out of thy blood:

И проидо́хъ сквозѣ́ тя и ви́дѣхъ тя́ смѣ́шену во кро́ви твоє́й и реко́хъ ти́: от кро́ве твоєя́ жива́ бу́ди: и реко́хъ тебѣ́: во кро́ви твоє́й живо́тъ тво́й:

increase; I have made thee as the springing grass of the field. So thou didst increase and grow, and didst enter into great cities: thy breasts were set, and thy hair grew, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

умножа́йся, я́коже прозябе́ніє се́лноє да́хъ тя́, и умно́жилася єси́ и возвели́чилася и вошла́ єси́ во гра́ды градо́въ: сосцы́ твои́ возрасто́ша, и вла́си твои́ просвѣтлѣ́ша, ты́ же была́ єси́ нага́ и безъ красы́.

And I passed by thee and saw thee, and, behold, it was thy time and a time of resting; and I spread my wings over thee, and covered thy shame, and sware to thee: and I entered into covenant with thee, saith the Lord, and thou becamest mine.

И проидо́хъ сквозѣ́ тя и ви́дѣхъ тя́: и се́, вре́мя твоє́, я́ко вре́мя вита́ющихъ: и простро́хъ крилѣ́ мои́ на тя́ и прикры́хъ сту́дъ тво́й, и кля́хся тебѣ́ и внидо́хъ въ завѣ́тъ съ тобо́ю, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, и была́ єси́ мнѣ́:

And I washed thee in water, and washed thy blood from thee, and anointed thee with oil.

и омы́хъ тя́ водо́ю и ополоска́хъ кро́вь твою́ от тебе́ и пома́захъ тя́ єле́ємъ,

And I clothed thee with embroidered garments, and clothed thee beneath with purple, and girded thee with fine linen, and clothed thee with silk,

и облеко́хъ тя́ въ пестроты́ и обу́хъ тя́ въ червле́ны, и препоя́сахъ тя́ виссо́номъ и возложи́хъ на тя́ тріха́птонъ,

and decked thee also with ornaments, and put bracelets on thine hands, and a necklace on thy neck.

и украси́хъ тя́ у́тварію и возложи́хъ запя́стіє на ру́цѣ твои́ и гри́вну на вы́ю твою́,

And I put a pendant on thy nostril, and rings in thine ears, and a crown of glory on thine head.

и да́хъ усеря́зи на но́здри твоя́ и ко́лца во у́шы твои́ и вѣне́цъ хвалы́ на главу́ твою́:

So thou wast adorned with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and variegated work: thou didst eat fine flour, and oil, and honey, and didst become extremely beautiful.

и украше́нна была́ єси́ зла́томъ и сребро́мъ, и оде́жды твоя́ виссо́нны и тріха́пты и испещре́нія, семіда́лъ и ме́дъ и ма́сло я́ла єси́, и была́ єси́ добра́ зѣло́ зѣло́, и упра́вилася єси́ на ца́рство:

And thy name went forth among the nations for thy beauty: because it was perfected with elegance, and in the comeliness which I put upon thee, saith the Lord.

и изы́де и́мя твоє́ во язы́ки въ добро́тѣ твоє́й, зане́ соверше́нно бѣ́ лѣ́потою въ красотѣ́, ю́же учини́хъ на тебѣ́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Thou didst trust in thy beauty, and didst go a-whoring because of thy renown, and didst pour out thy fornication on every passer by.

Ты́ же упова́ла єси́ на добро́ту твою́ и соблуди́ла єси́ во и́мени твоє́мъ и излія́ла єси́ блуже́ніє твоє́ на вся́каго мимоходя́щаго, тому́ была́ єси́, єму́же не подоба́ше:

And thou didst take of thy garments, and madest to thyself idols of needlework, and didst go a-whoring after them; therefore thou shalt never come in, nor shall the like take place.

и взяла́ єси́ от ри́зъ твои́хъ и сотвори́ла себѣ́ кумі́ры сошве́ныя и соблуди́ла єси́ съ ни́ми, и не вни́деши, и не бу́детъ.

And thou tookest thy fair ornaments of my gold and of my silver, of what I gave thee, and thou madest to thyself male images, and thou didst commit whoredom with them.

И взяла́ єси́ сосу́ды хвалы́ твоєя́ от сребра́ моєго́ и зла́та моєго́, от ни́хже да́хъ тебѣ́, и сотвори́ла себѣ́ о́бразы му́жески, и соблуди́ла єси́ въ ни́хъ.

And thou didst take thy variegated apparel and didst clothe them, and thou didst set before them mine oil and mine incense.

И взяла́ єси́ ри́зы своя́ испещре́нныя и одѣ́ялася єси́ въ ня́, и ма́сло моє́ и ѳиміа́мъ мо́й положи́ла єси́ предъ лице́мъ и́хъ,

And thou tookest my bread which I gave thee, (yea I fed thee with fine flour and oil and honey) and didst set them before them for a sweet-smelling savour: yea, it was so, saith the Lord.

и хлѣ́бы моя́, я́же да́хъ тебѣ́, семіда́ломъ и ма́сломъ и ме́домъ напита́хъ тя́, и положи́ла єси́ та́ предъ лице́мъ и́хъ въ воню́ благоуха́нія. И бы́сть по си́хъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь,

And thou tookest thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou borest, and didst sacrifice these to them to be destroyed. Thou didst go a-whoring as if that were little,

и взяла́ єси́ сы́ны твоя́ и дще́ри твоя́, я́же родила́ єси́, и закла́ла єси́ и́мъ въ потребле́ніє. Єда́ ма́ло соблуди́ла єси́?

and didst slay thy children, and gavest them up in offering them to them for an expiation.

И закла́ла єси́ ча́да твоя́ и дала́ єси́ я́, внегда́ принесла́ єси́ и́хъ на же́ртву и́мъ.

This is beyond all thy fornication, and thou didst not remember thine infancy, when thou wast naked and bare, and didst live though defiled in thy blood.

Сіє́ па́че вся́каго блуда́ твоєго́ и гну́сностей твои́хъ: и не помяну́ла єси́ дні́й младе́нства твоєго́, єгда́ была́ єси́ нага́ и безобра́зна, и смѣ́шена во кро́ви твоє́й жила́ єси́.

And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, saith the Lord,

И бы́сть по всѣ́хъ зло́бахъ твои́хъ, го́ре го́ре тебѣ́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь,

that thou didst build thyself a house of fornication, and didst make thyself a public place in every street;

и создала́ єси́ себѣ́ хра́мъ блудни́ческій и сотвори́ла себѣ́ полага́нія на всѣ́хъ сто́гнахъ:

and on the head of every way thou didst set up thy fornications, and didst defile thy beauty, and didst open thy feet to every passer by, and didst multiply thy fornication.

и въ нача́лѣ вся́каго пути́ создала́ єси́ блуди́лища своя́ и растли́ла добро́ту твою́, и разложи́ла го́лени твоя́ вся́кому мимоходя́щему и умно́жила єси́ блу́дъ тво́й:

And thou didst go a-whoring after the children of Egypt thy neighbours, great of flesh; and didst go a-whoring often to provoke me to anger.

и соблуди́ла съ сынми́ Єги́петскими сосѣ́ды твои́ми дебелопло́тными, и мно́гажды блуди́ла єси́, є́же разгнѣ́вати мя́.

And if I stretch out my hand against thee, then will I abolish thy statutes, and deliver thee up to the wills of them that hate thee, even to the daughters of the Philistines that turned thee aside from the way wherein thou sinnedst.

И се́, простру́ ру́ку мою́ на тя́ и отве́ргу зако́ны твоя́ и преда́мъ тя́ душа́мъ ненави́дящымъ тебе́, дще́ремъ иноплеме́нниковъ, совраща́ющымъ тя́ съ пути́ твоєго́, и́мже нече́ствовала єси́.

And thou didst go a-whoring to the daughters of Assur, and not even thus wast thou satisfied; yea, thou didst go a-whoring, and wast not satisfied.

И соблуди́ла єси́ съ сынми́ Асси́ровыми и ниже́ та́ко насы́тилася єси́: и соблуди́ла и не насы́тилася,

And thou didst multiply thy covenants with the land of the Chaldeans; and not even with these wast thou satisfied.

и умно́жила завѣ́ты твоя́ ко земли́ Ханане́йстѣй, Халде́йстѣй, и ниже́ въ си́хъ насы́тилася єси́.

Why should I make a covenant with thy daughter, saith the Lord, while thou doest all these things, the works of a harlot? and thou hast gone a-whoring in a threefold degree with thy daughters.

Что́ сотворю́ се́рдцу твоєму́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, внегда́ твори́ши вся́ сія́ дѣла́ жены́ блудни́цы проде́рзыя? И соблуди́ла єси́ трегу́бо во дще́рехъ твои́хъ.

Thou hast built a house of harlotry in every top of a way, and hast set up thine high place in every street; and thou didst become as a harlot gathering hires.

Єгда́ согради́ла єси́ блуди́лище твоє́ въ нача́лѣ вся́каго пути́ и высо́кая твоя́ сотвори́ла єси́ на всѣ́хъ сто́гнахъ, и не была́ я́ко блудни́ца собира́ющая нає́мъ.

An adulteress resembles thee, taking rewards of her husband.

Жена́ любодѣ́йница подо́бна тебѣ́, от му́жа своєго́ взе́млющи нає́мъ,

She has even given rewards to all that went a-whoring after her, and thou hast given rewards to all thy lovers, yea, thou didst load them with rewards, that they should come to thee from every side for thy fornication.

всѣ́мъ блуди́вшымъ съ не́ю дая́ше нає́мъ: и ты́ дала́ єси́ нає́мъ всѣ́мъ рачи́телемъ твои́мъ и обременя́ла и́хъ, є́же приходи́ти и́мъ къ тебѣ́ отвсю́ду во блуже́нія твоя́.

And there has happened in thee perverseness in thy fornication beyond other women, and they have committed fornication with thee, in that thou givest hires over and above, and hires were not given to thee; and thus perverseness happened in thee.

И бы́сть въ тебѣ́ сопроти́вно обы́чаю же́нску во блуже́ніи твоє́мъ, и съ тобо́ю соблуди́вшымъ, вмѣ́сто є́же бы да́ти тебѣ́ нає́мъ, и нає́мъ не даде́ся тебѣ́, и бы́сть въ тебѣ́ сопроти́вно.

Therefore, harlot, hear the word of the Lord:

Сего́ ра́ди слы́ши, блудни́це, сло́во Госпо́дне.

Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast poured forth thy money, therefore thy shame shall be discovered in thy harlotry with thy lovers, and with regard to all the imaginations of thine iniquities, and for the blood of thy children which thou hast given to them.

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: зане́ излія́ла єси́ мѣ́дь твою́, и откры́єтся сра́мъ тво́й во блуже́ніи твоє́мъ ко рачи́телемъ твои́мъ, и во вся́ помышле́нія беззако́ній твои́хъ, и во кро́ви ча́дъ твои́хъ, я́же дала́ єси́ и́мъ:

Therefore, behold, I will gather all thy lovers with whom thou hast consorted, and all whom thou hast loved, with all whom thou didst hate; and I will gather them against thee round about, and will expose thy wickedness to them, and they shall see all thy shame.

сего́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ на тя́ соберу́ вся́ похотники́ твоя́, съ ни́миже смѣси́лася єси́, и всѣ́хъ, и́хже люби́ла єси́, со всѣ́ми, и́хже ненави́дѣла єси́: и соберу́ я́ на тя́ отвсю́ду и откры́ю зло́бы твоя́ къ ни́мъ, и у́зрятъ ве́сь сра́мъ тво́й.

And I will be avenged on thee with the vengeance of an adulteress, and I will bring upon thee blood of fury and jealousy.

И отмщу́ ти отмще́ніємъ любодѣ́йцы и пролива́ющія кро́вь, и положу́ тя во кро́ви я́рости и рве́нія,

And I will deliver thee into their hands, and they shall break down thy house of harlotry, and destroy thine high place; and they shall strip thee of thy garments, and shall take thy proud ornaments, and leave thee naked and bare.

и преда́мъ тя́ въ ру́цѣ и́хъ, и раскопа́ютъ блуди́лище твоє́ и разоря́тъ высо́кая твоя́, и совлеку́тъ съ тебе́ ри́зы твоя́ и во́змутъ сосу́ды хвалы́ твоєя́, и оста́вятъ тя́ на́гу и безсту́дну:

And they shall bring multitudes upon thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and pierce thee with their swords.

и приведу́тъ на тя́ наро́ды, и побію́тъ тебе́ ка́меніємъ и изсѣку́тъ тя́ мечьми́ свои́ми,

And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and shall execute vengeance on thee in the sight of many women: and I will turn thee back from harlotry, and I will no more give thee rewards.

и запаля́тъ до́мы твоя́ огне́мъ и сотворя́тъ въ тебѣ́ отмще́ніє предъ жена́ми мно́гими: и обращу́ тя от блуже́нія, и найма́ ктому́ не да́си.

So will I slacken my fury against thee, and my jealousy shall be removed from thee, and I will rest, and be no more careful for thee.

И послю́ я́рость мою́ на тя́, и отъи́мется рве́ніє моє́ от тебе́: и почі́ю и ктому́ не попеку́ся.

Because thou didst not remember thine infancy, and thou didst grieve me in all these things; therefore, behold, I have recompensed thy ways upon thine head, saith the Lord: for thus hast thou wrought ungodliness above all thine other iniquities.

Поне́же не помяну́ла єси́ дні́й младе́нства твоєго́ и опеча́лила мя́ во всѣ́хъ си́хъ: и се́, а́зъ пути́ твоя́ на главу́ твою́ да́хъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: и та́ко сотвори́ла єси́ нече́стіє по всѣ́мъ беззако́ніємъ твои́мъ.

These are all the things they have spoken against thee in a proverb, saying,

Сія́ су́ть вся́, єли́ка реко́ша на тя́ въ при́тчи, глаго́люще: я́коже ма́ти, та́ко и дще́рь.

As is the mother, so is thy mother's daughter: thou art she that has rejected her husband and her children; and the sisters of thy sisters have rejected their husbands and their children: your mother was a Chettite, and your father an Amorite.

Дще́рь ма́тере твоєя́ ты́ єси́, отри́нувшая му́жа своєго́ и ча́да своя́: и сестры́ се́стръ твои́хъ, отри́нувшыя муже́й свои́хъ и ча́дъ свои́хъ: ма́ти ва́ша Хетте́аныня, а оте́цъ ва́шъ Аморре́й:

Your elder sister who dwells on thy left hand is Samaria, she and her daughters: and thy younger sister, that dwells on thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

сестра́ ва́ша старѣ́йшая самарі́а, та́ и дще́ри єя́ живу́щыя ошу́юю тебе́: и сестра́ твоя́ ме́ншая, живу́щая одесну́ю тебе́, Содо́ма и дще́ри єя́.

Yet notwithstanding thou hast not walked in their ways, neither hast thou done according to their iniquities within a little, but thou hast exceeded them in all thy ways.

Но ниже́ по путе́мъ и́хъ ходи́ла єси́, ниже́ сотвори́ла по беззако́ніємъ и́хъ поне́ ма́ло, и превозшла́ єси́ и́хъ во всѣ́хъ путе́хъ твои́хъ.

As I live, saith the Lord, this Sodom and her daughters have not done as thou and thy daughters have done.

Живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, не сотвори́ла Содо́ма сія́ сестра́ твоя́ и дще́ри єя́, я́коже ты́ сотвори́ла и дще́ри твоя́.

Moreover this was the sin of thy sister Sodom, pride: she and her daughters lived in pleasure, in fulness of bread and in abundance: this belonged to her and her daughters, and they helped not the hand of the poor and needy.

Оба́че сіє́ беззако́ніє Содо́мы сестры́ твоєя́, го́рдость въ сы́тости хлѣ́ба и во изоби́ліи віна́, и сластолю́бствоваша та́ и дще́ри єя́: сіє́ бя́ше є́й и дще́ремъ єя́: и руки́ убо́гому и ни́щему не подая́ху,

And they boasted, and wrought iniquities before me: so I cut them off as I saw fit.

и велича́хуся, и сотвори́ша беззако́нія предо мно́ю: и отверго́хъ я́ я́коже ви́дѣхъ.

Also Samaria has not sinned according to half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine iniquities beyond them, and thou hast justified thy sisters in all thine iniquities which thou hast committed.

Самарі́а же по́лъ грѣхо́въ твои́хъ не согрѣши́: и умно́жила єси́ беззако́нія твоя́ па́че о́нѣхъ, и оправда́ла єси́ сестры́ твоя́ во всѣ́хъ беззако́ніихъ твои́хъ, я́же сотвори́ла єси́.

Thou therefore bear thy punishment, for that thou hast corrupted thy sisters by thy sins which thou hast committed beyond them; and thou hast made them appear more righteous than thyself: thou therefore be ashamed, and bear thy dishonour, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

И ты́ пріими́ муче́ніє твоє́, въ не́мже растли́ла єси́ сестры́ твоя́ во грѣсѣ́хъ твои́хъ, и́миже беззако́нновала па́че тѣ́хъ, и оправда́ла и́хъ па́че тебе́: и ты́ посрами́ся и пріими́ безче́стіє твоє́, внегда́ оправда́ти тебѣ́ сестры́ твоя́.

And I will turn their captivity, even the captivity of Sodom and her daughters; and I will turn the captivity of Samaria and her daughters; and I will turn thy captivity in the midst of them:

И обращу́ обраще́нія и́хъ, обраще́ніє Содо́мы и дще́рей єя́, и обраще́ніє самарі́и и дщере́й єя́, и обращу́ обраще́ніє твоє́ средѣ́ и́хъ,

that thou mayest bear thy punishment, and be dishonoured for all that thou hast done in provoking me to anger.

я́ко да пріи́меши муче́ніє твоє́ и безче́стна бу́деши от всѣ́хъ, я́же сотвори́ла єси́ во разгнѣ́ваніи моє́мъ.

And thy sister Sodom and her daughters shall be restored as they were at the beginning, and thou and thy daughters shall be restored as ye were at the beginning.

И сестра́ твоя́ Содо́ма и дще́ри єя́ возста́вятся, я́коже бѣ́ша испе́рва: и самарі́а и дще́ри єя́ возста́вятся, я́коже бѣ́ша испе́рва: и ты́ и дще́ри твоя́ возста́витеся, я́коже бѣ́сте пре́жде.

And surely thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the days of thy pride:

И не была́ Содо́ма сестра́ твоя́ во слы́шаніє во устѣ́хъ твои́хъ во дне́хъ горды́ни твоєя́,

before thy wickedness was discovered, even now thou art the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all that are round about her, even of the daughters of the Philistines that compass thee round about.

пре́жде открове́нія зло́бъ твои́хъ, я́коже ны́нѣ укори́зна єси́ дще́рей Си́рскихъ и всѣ́хъ су́щихъ о́крестъ єя́ дще́рей иноплеме́нничихъ одержа́щихъ тя́ о́крестъ:

As for thine ungodliness and thine iniquities, thou hast borne them, saith the Lord.

нече́стія твоя́ и беззако́нія твоя́ ты́ понесла́ єси́ я́, глаго́летъ Госпо́дь.

Thus saith the Lord; I will even do to thee as thou hast done, as thou hast dealt shamefully in these things to transgress my covenant.

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: и сотворю́ въ тебѣ́, я́коже сотвори́ла єси́, я́коже презрѣ́ла єси́ є́же преступи́ти завѣ́тъ мо́й:

And I will remember my covenant made with thee in the days of thine infancy, and I will establish to thee an everlasting covenant.

и воспомяну́ а́зъ завѣ́тъ мо́й, и́же съ тобо́ю во дне́хъ младе́нства твоєго́, и возста́влю тебѣ́ завѣ́тъ вѣ́чный:

Then thou shalt remember thy way, and shalt be utterly dishonoured when thou receivest thine elder sisters with thy younger ones: and I will give them to thee for building up, but not by thy covenant.

и помяне́ши пути́ твоя́ и безче́стна бу́деши, внегда́ по́ймеши сестры́ твоя́ старѣ́йшыя со юнѣ́йшими твои́ми, и да́мъ я́ тебѣ́ на созида́ніє, но не от завѣ́та твоєго́:

And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord:

и возста́влю а́зъ завѣ́тъ мо́й съ тобо́ю, и увѣ́си, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь:

that thou mayest remember, and be ashamed, and mayest no more be able to open thy mouth for thy shame, when I am reconciled to thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord.

я́ко да помяне́ши и усрами́шися, и не бу́детъ тебѣ́ ктому́ отве́рсти у́стъ твои́хъ от лица́ безче́стія твоєго́, єгда́ ми́лостивъ бу́ду тебѣ́ по всѣ́мъ, єли́ка сотвори́ла єси́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, relate a tale, and speak a parable to the house of Israel:

сы́не человѣ́чь, повѣ́ждь по́вѣсть и рцы́ при́тчу на до́мъ Ізра́илевъ,

and thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; A great eagle with large wings, spreading them out very far, with many claws, which has the design of entering into Libanus—and he took the choice branches of the cedar:

и рече́ши: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: оре́лъ вели́кій, великокри́лый, до́лгій протяже́ніємъ, испо́лнь ногте́й, и́же и́мать повелѣ́ніє вни́ти въ Ліва́нъ, и взя́ избра́нныя ке́дра,

he cropped off the ends of the tender twigs, and brought them into the land of Chanaan; he laid them up in a walled city.

и верхи́ мя́гкости острога́, и принесе́ я́ въ зе́млю Ханане́йску, во гра́дѣ огражде́ннѣмъ положи́ я́:

And he took of the seed of the land, and sowed it in a field planted by much water; he set it in a conspicuous place.

и взя́ от сѣ́мене земна́го и даде́ є́ на по́ли пло́днѣ, [да утверди́тъ коре́ніє] надъ вода́ми мно́гими, ви́дѣно учини́ є́:

And it sprang up, and became a weak and little vine, so that the branches thereof appeared upon it, and its roots were under it: and it became a vine, and put forth shoots, and sent forth its tendrils.

и прозябе́ и бы́сть въ віногра́дъ не́мощенъ и ма́лъ вели́чествомъ, є́же явля́тися ло́зію єго́ на не́мъ, и коре́ніє єго́ подъ ни́мъ бя́ше: и бы́сть въ віногра́дъ, и сотвори́ ро́зги, и простре́ отра́сли своя́.

And there was another great eagle, with great wings and many claws: and, behold, this vine bent itself round toward him, and her roots were turned towards him, and she sent forth her branches towards him, that he might water her together with the growth of her plantation.

И бы́сть оре́лъ другі́й вели́къ, великокри́лный, мно́гъ ногтьми́, и се́, віногра́дъ се́й оплета́яся объ не́мъ: и коре́ніє єго́ къ нему́, и ло́зіє своє́ испусти́ єму́, є́же напая́ти себе́ со гру́діємъ са́да своєго́.

She thrives in a fair field by much water, to produce shoots and bear fruit, that she might become a great vine.

На по́ли до́брѣ, на водѣ́ мно́зѣ пита́єтся то́й, є́же сотвори́ти прозябе́нія и приноси́ти пло́дъ, є́же бы́ти въ віногра́дъ вели́къ.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord; Shall it prosper? shall not the roots of her tender stem and her fruit be blighted? yea, all her early shoots shall be dried up, and that not by a mighty arm, nor by many people, to tear her up from her roots.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: єда́ испра́вится? не коре́ніє ли мягкоты́ єго́ и пло́дъ изгніє́тъ? и и́зсхнутъ вся́ лѣ́торасли єго́, и не мы́шцею ли вели́кою, ни людьми́ мно́гими є́же исто́ргнути єго́ изъ коре́нія єго́?

And, behold, it thrives: shall it prosper? shall it not wither as soon as the east wind touches it? it shall be withered together with the growth of its shoots.

И се́, ты́єтъ: єда́ успѣ́єтъ? не а́біє ли, єгда́ ко́снется єму́ вѣ́тръ зно́йный, посхне́тъ сухото́ю? со гру́діємъ прозябе́нія своєго́ и́зсхнетъ.

Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, say now to the provoking house, Know ye not what these things were? say to them, Whenever the king of Babylon shall come against Jerusalem, then he shall take her king and her princes, and shall take them home to Babylon.

сы́не человѣ́чь, рцы́ ко до́му прогнѣвля́ющему мя́: не вѣ́сте ли, что́ су́ть сія́? рцы́ и́мъ: се́, гряде́тъ ца́рь Вавило́нскъ на Ієрусали́мъ, и во́зметъ царя́ єго́ и кня́зя єго́, и отведе́тъ я́ къ себѣ́ въ Вавило́нъ:

And he shall take of the seed royal, and shall make a covenant with him, and shall bind him with an oath: and he shall take the princes of the land:

и по́йметъ от пле́мене ца́рска, и завѣща́єтъ съ ни́мъ завѣ́тъ, и введе́тъ єго́ въ кля́твѣ, и старѣ́йшины земли́ во́зметъ,

that it may become a weak kingdom, so as never to lift itself up, that he may keep his covenant, and establish it.

є́же бы́ти въ ца́рство немощно́, є́же весьма́ не возноси́тися, [но] храни́ти завѣ́тъ єго́ и стоя́ти въ не́мъ:

And if he shall revolt from him, to send his messengers into Egypt, that they may give him horses and much people; shall he prosper? shall he that acts as an adversary be preserved? and shall he that transgresses the covenant be preserved?

и отве́ржется от него́ посыла́я послы́ своя́ во Єги́петъ да́ти єму́ ко́ни и лю́ди мно́ги: єда́ испра́витъ? спасе́тся ли творя́й сопроти́вная? и преступа́яй завѣ́тъ спасе́тся ли?

As I live, saith the Lord, verily in the same place where the king is that made him king, who dishonoured my oath, and who broke my covenant, shall he die with him in the midst of Babylon.

Живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, а́ще не на мѣ́стѣ, идѣ́же ца́рь воцари́вый єго́, и́же поху́ли кля́тву мою́ и и́же преступи́ завѣ́тъ мо́й, съ ни́мъ средѣ́ Вавило́на сконча́єтся.

And Pharao shall make war upon him not with a large force or great multitude, in throwing up a mound, and in building of forts, to cut off souls.

И не въ си́лѣ вели́цѣй, ниже́ въ наро́дѣ мно́зѣ сотвори́тъ съ ни́мъ фарао́нъ бра́нь во остро́зѣ и въ согражде́ніи стрѣ́льницъ, є́же изъя́ти ду́шы мно́ги.

Whereas he has profaned the oath so as to break the covenant, when, behold, I engaged his hand, and he has done all these things to him, he shall not escape.

И поху́ли кля́тву, є́же преступи́ти завѣ́тъ, и се́, даде́ ру́ку свою́ и вся́ сія́ сотвори́ єму́: не спасе́тся.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord; As I live, surely mine oath which he has profaned, and my covenant which he has transgressed, I will even recompense it upon his head.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: живу́ а́зъ, а́ще не кля́тву мою́, ю́же поху́ли, и завѣ́тъ мо́й, єго́же преступи́, да́мъ на главу́ єго́:

And I will spread a net upon him, and he shall be caught in its snare.

и простру́ мре́жу мою́ на́нь, и я́тъ бу́детъ во одержа́ніи єя́: и приведу́ єго́ въ Вавило́нъ и разсужду́ся съ ни́мъ та́мо о непра́вдѣ єго́, є́юже непра́вдова ко мнѣ́:

In every battle of his they shall fall by the sword, and I will scatter his remnant to every wind: and ye shall know that I the Lord have spoken it.

и вси́ избѣ́гшіи єго́ и вси́ избра́нніи со всѣ́ми ополче́ніи єго́ мече́мъ паду́тъ, и вся́ оста́вшая и́хъ разсѣ́ю по всему́ вѣ́тру, и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ.

For thus saith the Lord; I will even take of the choice branches of the cedar from the top thereof, I will crop off their hearts, and I will plant it on a high mountain:

Сего́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: и возму́ а́зъ от избра́нныхъ ке́дра высо́каго от верха́ и да́мъ от главы́ отра́слей єго́, сердца́ и́хъ остружу́ и насажду́ а́зъ на горѣ́ высо́цѣ:

and I will hang it on a lofty mountain of Israel: yea, I will plant it, and it shall put forth shoots, and shall bear fruit, and it shall be a great cedar: and every bird shall rest beneath it, even every fowl shall rest under its shadow: its branches shall be restored.

и повѣ́шу и́ въ горѣ́ высо́цѣ Ізра́илевѣ и насажду́ и́, и прорасти́тъ отра́сль и сотвори́тъ пло́дъ и бу́детъ въ ке́дръ вели́къ: и почі́єтъ подъ ни́мъ вся́къ звѣ́рь, и подъ сѣ́нію єго́ почі́єтъ вся́ка пти́ца, и ло́зіє єго́ па́ки устро́ятся:

And all the trees of the field shall know that I am the Lord that bring low the high tree, and exalt the low tree, and wither the green tree, and cause the dry tree to flourish: I the Lord have spoken, and will do it.

и увѣ́сть вся́ко дре́во полево́є, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь смиря́яй дре́во высо́коє и вознося́й дре́во смире́нноє, и изсуша́яй дре́во зеле́ноє и прораща́яй дре́во сухо́є: а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ и сотворю́.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, what mean ye by this parable among the children of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten unripe grapes, and the children's teeth have been set on edge?

сы́не человѣ́чь, что́ ва́мъ при́тча сія́ на земли́ Ізра́илевѣ, глаго́лющымъ: отцы́ ядо́ша те́рпкоє, а зубо́мъ ча́дъ и́хъ оско́мины бы́ша?

As I live, saith the Lord, surely this parable shall no more be spoken in Israel.

Живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, а́ще бу́детъ єще́ глаго́лема при́тча сія́ во Ізра́или.

For all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son, they are mine: the soul that sins, it shall die.

Я́ко вся́ ду́шы моя́ су́ть, я́коже душа́ о́тча, та́ко и душа́ сыно́вня, моя́ су́ть: душа́, я́же согрѣши́тъ, та́ у́мретъ, и зоба́вшаго па́родки зу́бы оско́минны бу́дутъ.

But the man who shall be just, who executes judgment and righteousness,

Человѣ́къ же, и́же є́сть пра́веденъ, творя́й су́дъ и пра́вду,

who shall not eat upon the mountains, and shall not at all lift up his eyes to the devices of the house of Israel, and shall not defile his neighbour's wife, and shall not draw nigh to her that is removed,

на гора́хъ не снѣ́сть и оче́съ свои́хъ не воздви́гнетъ на кумі́ры до́му Ізра́илева, и жены́ бли́жняго своєго́ не оскверна́витъ и къ женѣ́ въ мѣ́сячныхъ су́щей не прибли́жится,

and shall not oppress any man, but shall return the pledge of the debtor, and shall be guilty of no plunder, shall give his bread to the hungry, and clothe the naked;

и человѣ́ку не наси́льствуєтъ, зало́гъ должнику́ отда́стъ и хище́ніємъ не восхи́титъ, хлѣ́бъ сво́й а́лчному да́стъ и нага́го облече́тъ въ ри́зу,

and shall not lend his money upon usury, and shall not receive usurious increase, and shall turn back his hand from injustice, shall execute righteous judgment between a man and his neighbour,

и сребра́ своєго́ въ ли́хву не да́стъ и прибы́тка не во́зметъ, и от непра́вды отврати́тъ ру́ку свою́ и су́дъ сотвори́тъ между́ му́жемъ и бли́жнимъ свои́мъ,

and has walked in my commandments and kept mine ordinances, to do them; he is righteous, he shall surely live, saith the Lord.

и въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ ходи́лъ и оправда́нія моя́ снабдѣ́лъ, є́же твори́ти та́: пра́веденъ се́й є́сть, жи́знію жи́ти и́мать, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And if he beget a mischievous son, shedding blood and committing sins,

И а́ще роди́тъ сы́на губи́теля, пролива́ющаго кро́вь и творя́ща грѣхи́,

who has not walked in the way of his righteous father, but has even eaten upon the mountains, and has defiled his neighbour's wife,

въ пу́ть отца́ своєго́ пра́веднаго не ходи́лъ, но и на гора́хъ пожре́, и жену́ бли́жняго своєго́ оскверна́вилъ,

and has oppressed the poor and needy, and has committed robbery, and not restored a pledge, and has set his eyes upon idols, has wrought iniquities,

и убо́гаго и ни́щаго преоби́дѣ, и хище́ніємъ восхи́тилъ и зало́га не отда́лъ, и къ кумі́ромъ положи́ о́чи свои́, беззако́нія сотвори́,

has lent upon usury, and taken usurious increase; he shall by no means live: he has wrought all these iniquities; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

съ ли́хвою даде́ и съ примноже́ніємъ прія́лъ, се́й жи́знію не поживе́тъ: вся́ сія́ беззако́нія сотвори́, сме́ртію у́мретъ, кро́вь єго́ на не́мъ бу́детъ.

And if he beget a son, and the son see all his father's sins which he has wrought, and fear, and not do according to them,

А́ще же роди́тъ сы́на, о́нъ же уви́дитъ вся́ грѣхи́ отца́ своєго́, я́же сотвори́лъ є́сть, и убои́тся и не сотвори́тъ по ни́мъ,

and if he has not eaten on the mountains, and has not set his eyes on the devices of the house of Israel, and has not defiled his neighbour's wife,

на гора́хъ не снѣ́сть и оче́съ свои́хъ не положи́тъ къ кумі́ромъ до́му Ізра́илева, и жены́ по́друга своєго́ не оскверна́витъ

and has not oppressed a man, and has not retained the pledge, nor committed robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has clothed the naked,

и человѣ́ка не наси́льствуєтъ, и зало́га не удержи́тъ и хище́ніємъ не восхи́титъ, хлѣ́бъ сво́й а́лчному да́стъ и на́га одѣ́єтъ ри́зою,

and has turned back his hand from unrighteousness, has not received interest or usurious increase, has wrought righteousness, and walked in mine ordinances; he shall not die for the iniquities of his father, he shall surely live.

и от непра́вды отврати́тъ ру́ку свою́, ли́хвы и примноже́нія не во́зметъ, пра́вду сотвори́тъ и въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ ходи́ти бу́детъ: не сконча́єтся въ непра́вдахъ отца́ своєго́, [но] жи́знь поживе́тъ.

But if his father grievously afflict, or plunder, he has wrought enmity in the midst of my people, and shall die in his iniquity.

Оте́цъ же єго́ а́ще ско́рбію оскорби́тъ и хище́ніємъ восхи́титъ, сопроти́вная сотвори́тъ посредѣ́ люді́й мои́хъ, и у́мретъ въ непра́вдахъ свои́хъ.

But ye will say, Why has not the son borne the iniquity of the father? Because the son has wrought judgment and mercy, has kept all my statutes, and done them, he shall surely live.

И рече́те: что́ я́ко не взя́ сы́нъ непра́вды отца́ своєго́? Поне́же сы́нъ пра́вду и ми́лость сотвори́, вся́ зако́ны моя́ соблюде́ и сотвори́ я́, жи́знію поживе́тъ.

But the soul that sins shall die: and the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the iniquity of the transgressor shall be upon him.

Душа́ же согрѣша́ющая, та́ у́мретъ: сы́нъ не во́зметъ непра́вды отца́ своєго́, и оте́цъ не во́зметъ непра́вды сы́на своєго́: пра́вда пра́веднаго на не́мъ бу́детъ, и беззако́ніє беззако́нника на не́мъ бу́детъ.

And if the transgressor turn away from all his iniquities which he has committed, and keep all my commandments, and do justice and mercy, he shall surely live, and shall by no means die.

И беззако́нникъ а́ще обрати́тся от всѣ́хъ беззако́ній свои́хъ, я́же сотвори́лъ, и сохрани́тъ вся́ за́повѣди моя́ и сотвори́тъ су́дъ и пра́вду и ми́лость, жи́знію поживе́тъ и не у́мретъ:

None of his trespasses which he has committed shall be remembered: in his righteousness which he has done he shall live.

вся́ согрѣше́нія єго́, єли́ка сотвори́лъ, не помяну́тся єму́: но въ пра́вдѣ своє́й, ю́же сотвори́лъ, жи́въ бу́детъ.

Shall I at all desire the death of the sinner, saith the Lord, as I desire that he should turn from his evil way, and live?

Єда́ хотѣ́ніємъ восхощу́ сме́рти грѣ́шника, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, а не є́же обрати́тися єму́ от пути́ зла́ и жи́ву бы́ти єму́?

But when the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, according to all the transgressions which the transgressor has wrought, none of his righteousness which he has wrought shall be at all remembered: in his trespass wherein he has trespassed, and in his sins wherein he has sinned, in them shall he die.

И а́ще соврати́тся пра́ведникъ от пра́вды своєя́ и сотвори́тъ непра́вду по всѣ́мъ беззако́ніємъ, я́же сотвори́лъ беззако́нникъ, вся́ пра́вды єго́, я́же сотвори́лъ є́сть, не помяну́тся: въ преступле́ніи своє́мъ, и́мже преступи́, и во грѣсѣ́хъ свои́хъ, и́миже согрѣши́, въ ни́хъ у́мретъ.

Yet ye have said, The way of the Lord is not straight. Hear now, all the house of Israel; will not my way be straight? Is your way straight?

И реко́сте: не упра́вится пу́ть Госпо́день. Слы́шите у́бо, ве́сь до́мъ Ізра́илевъ, єда́ пу́ть мо́й не упра́вится? ва́шъ ли пу́ть у́бо упра́вится?

When the righteous turns away from his righteousness and commits a trespass, and dies in the trespass which he has committed, he shall even die in it.

Єгда́ соврати́тся пра́ведникъ от пра́вды своєя́ и сотвори́тъ грѣ́хъ, и у́мретъ въ преступле́ніи, є́же сотвори́лъ, въ то́мъ у́мретъ.

And when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and shall do judgment and justice, he has kept his soul,

И єгда́ обрати́тся беззако́нникъ от беззако́нія своєго́, є́же сотвори́лъ, и сотвори́тъ су́дъ и пра́вду, то́й ду́шу свою́ снабдѣ́лъ є́сть:

and has turned away from all his ungodliness which he has committed: he shall surely live, he shall not die.

и ви́дѣ и обрати́ся от всѣ́хъ беззако́ній свои́хъ, я́же сотвори́, жи́знію поживе́тъ и не у́мретъ.

Yet the house of Israel say, The way of the Lord is not right. Is not my way right, O house of Israel? is not your way wrong?

И глаго́летъ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ: упра́вится пу́ть Госпо́день. Єда́ пу́ть мо́й не управля́єтся? о, до́ме Ізра́илевъ, у́бо ва́шъ ли пу́ть управля́єтся?

I will judge you, O house of Israel, saith the Lord, each one according to his way: be converted, and turn from all your ungodliness, and it shall not become to you the punishment of iniquity.

[Сего́ ра́ди] кому́ждо по пути́ єго́ сужду́ ва́мъ, до́ме Ізра́илевъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: обрати́теся и отве́ржитеся от всѣ́хъ нече́стій ва́шихъ, и не бу́дутъ ва́мъ непра́вды въ муче́ніє:

Cast away from yourselves all your ungodliness wherein ye have sinned against me; and make to yourselves a new heart and a new spirit: for why should ye die, O house of Israel?

отве́ржите от себе́ вся́ нече́стія ва́ша, и́миже нече́ствовасте ко мнѣ́, и сотвори́те себѣ́ се́рдце но́во и ду́хъ но́въ, и сотвори́те вся́ за́повѣди моя́: и вску́ю умира́єте, до́ме Ізра́илевъ? глаго́летъ Госпо́дь.

For I desire not the death of him that dies, saith the Lord.

Поне́же не хощу́ сме́рти грѣ́шника умира́ющаго, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, но є́же обрати́тися єму́ от пути́ своєго́ и жи́ти души́ єго́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: обрати́теся у́бо, и жи́ви бу́дете.

Moreover do thou take up a lamentation for the prince of Israel,

Ты́ же, сы́не человѣ́чь, возми́ пла́чь на кня́зи Ізра́илевы,

and say, Why is thy mother become a whelp in the midst of lions? in the midst of lions she has multiplied her whelps.

и рече́ши: почто́ ма́ти твоя́ льви́ца средѣ́ льво́въ почи́, посредѣ́ льво́въ умно́жи льви́чища своя́?

And one of her whelps sprang forth; he became a lion, and learned to take prey, he devoured men.

И отскочи́ єди́нъ от льви́чищъ єя́ и бы́сть ле́въ, и научи́ся восхища́ти восхище́нія и человѣ́ки снѣде́.

And the nations heard a report of him; he was caught in their pit, and they brought him into the land of Egypt in chains.

И слы́шаша о не́мъ язы́цы, и я́тъ бы́сть въ растлѣ́ніи и́хъ, приведо́ша єго́ во уздѣ́ во Єги́петъ.

And she saw that he was driven away from her, and her hope of him perished, and she took another of her whelps; she made him a lion.

И ви́дѣ, я́ко отведе́нъ бы́сть от нея́, и поги́бе ча́яніє єя́: и взя́ ина́го от льви́чищъ свои́хъ и льво́мъ учини́ єго́,

And he went up and down in the midst of lions, he became a lion, and learned to take prey, he devoured men.

и живя́ше посредѣ́ льво́въ, бы́сть ле́въ и научи́ся восхища́ти восхище́нія: человѣ́ки изъяде́,

And he prowled in his boldness and laid waste their cities, and made the land desolate, and the fulness of it, by the voice of his roaring.

и пася́шеся въ лю́тости своє́й, и гра́ды и́хъ пу́сты поста́ви, и погуби́ зе́млю и исполне́ніє єя́ гла́сомъ рыка́нія своєго́.

Then the nations set upon him from the countries round about, and they spread their nets upon him: he was taken in their pit.

И да́ша на́нь язы́цы о́крестъ от стра́нъ и простро́ша на́нь мре́жи своя́, и въ погубле́ніи и́хъ я́тъ бы́сть.

And they put him in chains and in a cage, and he came to the king of Babylon; and he cast him into prison, that his voice should not be heard on the mountains of Israel.

И положи́ша єго́ во уздѣ́ и въ клѣ́ти, приведо́ша єго́ ко царю́ Вавило́нску и вверго́ша єго́ въ темни́цу, я́ко да не слы́шится гла́съ єго́ ктому́ на гора́хъ Ізра́илевыхъ.

Thy mother was as a vine and as a blossom on a pomegranate tree, planted by water: her fruit and her shoots abounded by reason of much water.

Ма́ти твоя́ я́ко віногра́дъ и я́ко цвѣ́тъ ши́пчанъ на водѣ́ насажде́нъ, пло́дъ єго́ и отра́сль єго́ бы́сть от воды́ мно́ги.

And she became a rod for a tribe of princes, and was elevated in her bulk in the midst of other trees, and she saw her bulk in the multitude of her branches.

И бы́сть єму́ же́злъ крѣ́пости надъ пле́менемъ старѣ́йшинъ, и вознесе́ся въ вели́чіи своє́мъ средѣ́ ло́зія: и ви́дѣ вели́чество своє́ во мно́жествѣ ло́зія своєго́,

But she was broken down in wrath, she was cast upon the ground, and the east wind dried up her choice branches: vengeance came upon them, and the rod of her strength was withered; fire consumed it.

и обломи́ся въ я́рости, и на зе́млю пове́рженъ бы́сть, и вѣ́тръ зно́йный изсуши́ плоды́ єго́: увядо́ша, и и́зсше же́злъ крѣ́пости єго́: о́гнь потреби́ єго́.

And now they have planted her in the wilderness, in a dry land.

И ны́нѣ насади́ша єго́ въ пусты́ни, на земли́ безво́днѣ.

And fire is gone out of a rod of her choice boughs, and has devoured her; and there was no rod of strength in her. Her race is become a parable of lamentation, and it shall be for a lamentation.

И изы́де о́гнь от жезла́ избра́нныхъ єго́ и пояде́ и́, и не бѣ́ въ не́мъ жезла́ крѣ́пости єго́: пле́мя въ при́тчу пла́ча є́сть, и бу́детъ пла́чь.

And it came to pass in the seventh year, on the fifteenth day of the month, there came men of the elders of the house of Israel to enquire of the Lord, and they sat before me.

И бы́сть въ лѣ́то седмо́є, въ пя́тый ме́сяцъ, въ деся́тый де́нь ме́сяца, пріидо́ша му́жіє от старѣ́йшинъ до́му Ізра́илева вопроси́ти Го́спода и сѣдо́ша предъ лице́мъ мои́мъ.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, speak to the elders of the house of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, I will not be enquired of by you, saith the Lord.

сы́не человѣ́чь, глаго́ли ко старѣ́йшинамъ до́му Ізра́илева и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: та́ко глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: єда́ вопроси́ти мене́ вы́ прихо́дите? живу́ а́зъ, а́ще отвѣща́ю ва́мъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Shall I utterly take vengeance on them, son of man? testify to them of the iniquities of their fathers:

А́ще отмще́ніємъ отмщу́ и́мъ: сы́не человѣ́чь, беззако́нія оте́цъ и́хъ засвидѣ́телствуй и́мъ,

and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord; From the day that I chose the house of Israel, and became known to the seed of the house of Jacob, and was known to them in the land of Egypt, and helped them with my hand, saying, I am the Lord your God;

и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: от него́же дне́ избра́хъ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ, и увѣ́дѣнъ бы́хъ пле́мени до́му Іа́ковля и позна́нъ бы́хъ и́мъ во земли́ Єги́петстѣй, и прія́хъ я́ руко́ю моє́ю глаго́ля: а́зъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ ва́шъ:

in that day I helped them with my hand, to bring them out of the land of Egypt into the land which I prepared for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, it is abundant beyond every land.

въ то́й де́нь подъя́хъ я́ руко́ю моє́ю, є́же извести́ я́ изъ земли́ Єги́петскія въ зе́млю, ю́же угото́вахъ и́мъ, зе́млю кипя́щую млеко́мъ и ме́домъ, со́тъ є́сть па́че всѣ́хъ земе́ль,

And I said to them, Let every one cast away the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the devices of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

и реко́хъ къ ни́мъ: кі́йждо ме́рзости от оче́съ свои́хъ отве́ржите и во творе́ніихъ Єги́петскихъ не оскверня́йтеся, а́зъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ ва́шъ.

But they revolted from me, and would not hearken to me: they cast not away the abominations of their eyes, and forsook not the devices of Egypt: then I said that I would pour out my wrath upon them, to accomplish my wrath upon them in the midst of Egypt.

И отверго́шася мене́ и не хотѣ́ша послу́шати мя́: кі́йждо ме́рзостей от оче́съ свои́хъ не отверго́ша и творе́ній Єги́петскихъ не оста́виша. И реко́хъ, є́же излія́ти я́рость мою́ на ня́ и сконча́ти гнѣ́въ мо́й на ни́хъ средѣ́ земли́ Єги́петскія.

But I wrought so that my name should not be at all profaned in the sight of the Gentiles, in the midst of whom they are, among whom I was made known to them in their sight, to bring them out of the land of Egypt.

И сотвори́хъ, я́ко да и́мя моє́ весьма́ не оскверни́тся предъ язы́ки, въ ни́хже су́ть ті́и средѣ́ и́хъ, въ ни́хже позна́нъ бы́хъ и́мъ предъ лице́мъ и́хъ, є́же извести́ я́ изъ земли́ Єги́петскія.

And I brought them into the wilderness.

И изведо́хъ я́ изъ земли́ Єги́петскія и введо́хъ я́ въ пусты́ню,

And I gave them my commandments, and made known to them mine ordinances, all which if a man shall do, he shall even live in them.

и да́хъ и́мъ за́повѣди моя́, и оправда́нія моя́ яви́хъ и́мъ, я́же а́ще сотвори́тъ человѣ́къ, жи́въ бу́детъ въ ни́хъ:

And I gave them my sabbaths, that they should be for a sign between me and them, that they should know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.

и суббо́ты моя́ да́хъ и́мъ, є́же бы́ти въ зна́меніє между́ мно́ю и между́ и́ми, є́же разумѣ́ти и́мъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь освяща́яй и́хъ.

And I said to the house of Israel in the wilderness, Walk ye in my commandments: but they walked not in them, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man shall do, he shall even live in them; and they grievously profaned my sabbaths: and I said that I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

И глаго́лахъ ко до́му Ізра́илеву въ пусты́ни: въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ ходи́те и оправда́нія моя́ сохрани́те, є́же твори́ти я́, я́же сотвори́тъ человѣ́къ и жи́въ бу́детъ въ ни́хъ. И разгнѣ́ва мя́ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ въ пусты́ни: въ за́повѣдехъ бо мои́хъ не ходи́ша и оправда́нія моя́ отверго́ша, я́же сотвори́тъ человѣ́къ и жи́въ бу́детъ въ ни́хъ: и суббо́ты моя́ оскверни́ша зѣло́. И реко́хъ, є́же излія́ти я́рость мою́ на ня́ въ пусты́ни, є́же потреби́ти и́хъ.

But I wrought so that my name should not be at all profaned before the Gentiles, before whose eyes I brought them out.

И сотвори́хъ, я́ко да весьма́ и́мя моє́ не оскверни́тся предъ язы́ки, изъ ни́хже изведо́хъ я́ предъ очи́ма и́хъ.

But I lifted up my hand against them in the wilderness once for all, that I would not bring them into the land which I gave them, a land flowing with milk and honey, it is sweeter than all lands:

И а́зъ воздвиго́хъ ру́ку мою́ на ня́ въ пусты́ни весьма́, є́же не ввести́ и́хъ въ зе́млю, ю́же да́хъ и́мъ, въ зе́млю теку́щую млеко́мъ и ме́домъ, со́тъ є́сть па́че всея́ земли́:

because they rejected mine ordinances, and walked not in my commandments, but profaned my sabbaths, and went after the imaginations of their hearts.

поне́же судьбы́ моя́ отверго́ша и въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ не ходи́ша, и суббо́ты моя́ оскверни́ша и вслѣ́дъ помышле́ній се́рдца своєго́ хожда́ху.

Yet mine eyes spared them, so as not to destroy them utterly, and I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

И пощадѣ́ я́ о́ко моє́, є́же потреби́ти и́хъ, и не сотвори́хъ и́мъ сконча́нія въ пусты́ни.

And I said to their children in the wilderness, Walk not ye in the customs of your fathers, and keep not their ordinances, and have no fellowship with their practices, nor defile yourselves with them.

И реко́хъ ко ча́домъ и́хъ въ пусты́ни: въ зако́нѣхъ оте́цъ ва́шихъ не ходи́те и оправда́ній и́хъ не храни́те, и ко творе́ніємъ Єги́петскимъ не примѣша́йтеся и не оскверня́йтеся:

I am the Lord your God; walk in my commandments, and keep mine ordinances, and do them;

а́зъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ ва́шъ: въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ ходи́те, и оправда́нія моя́ снабди́те и твори́те я́,

and hallow my sabbaths, and let them be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.

и суббо́ты моя́ освяща́йте: и бу́детъ въ зна́меніє между́ мно́ю и между́ ва́ми, є́же вѣ́дѣти ва́мъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ ва́шъ.

But they provoked me, and their children walked not in my commandments, and they took no heed to mine ordinances to do them, which if a man shall do, he shall even live in them, and they profaned my sabbaths: then I said that I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to accomplish mine anger upon them.

И разгнѣ́ваша мя́, и ча́да и́хъ въ за́повѣдехъ мои́хъ не ходи́ша и оправда́ній мои́хъ не снабдѣ́ша, є́же твори́ти я́: сія́ бо сотвори́въ человѣ́къ жи́въ бу́детъ въ ни́хъ: и суббо́ты моя́ оскверни́ша зѣло́. И реко́хъ: излію́ я́рость мою́ на ня́, є́же сконча́ти гнѣ́въ мо́й на ни́хъ въ пусты́ни.

But I wrought so that my name might not be at all profaned before the Gentiles; and I brought them out in their sight.

И сотвори́хъ, я́ко да и́мя моє́ весьма́ не оскверна́вится предъ язы́ки, от ни́хже изведо́хъ я́ предъ очи́ма и́хъ.

I lifted up my hand against them in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the Gentiles, and disperse them in the countries;

И а́зъ воздвиго́хъ ру́ку мою́ на ня́ въ пусты́ни, є́же расточи́ти я́ во язы́цѣхъ и разсѣ́яти я́ во страна́хъ,

because they kept not mine ordinances, and rejected my commandments, and profaned my sabbaths, and their eyes went after the imaginations of their fathers.

поне́же оправда́ній мои́хъ не сотвори́ша и за́повѣди моя́ отри́нуша и суббо́ты моя́ оскверни́ша, и вслѣ́дъ кумі́ровъ оте́цъ и́хъ бы́ша очеса́ и́хъ.

So I gave them commandments that were not good, and ordinances in which they should not live.

И да́хъ и́мъ за́повѣди не добры́ и оправда́нія, въ ни́хже не бу́дутъ жи́ви:

And I will defile them by their own decrees, when I pass through upon every one that opens the womb, that I may destroy them.

и оскверню́ я́ въ дая́ніихъ и́хъ, внегда́ проводи́ти [и́мъ] вся́коє разверза́ющеє ложесна́, да погублю́ и́хъ, да уразумѣ́ютъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord: Hitherto have your fathers provoked me in their trespasses in which they transgressed against me.

Сего́ ра́ди глаго́ли къ до́му Ізра́илеву, сы́не человѣ́чь, и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: да́же до сего́ разгнѣ́ваша мя́ отцы́ ва́ши во грѣсѣ́хъ свои́хъ, и́миже согрѣши́ша ко мнѣ́:

Whereas I brought them into the land concerning which I lifted up mine hand to give it them; and they looked upon every high hill, and every shady tree, and they sacrificed there to their gods, and offered there a sweet-smelling savour, and there they poured out their drink-offerings.

и введо́хъ я́ въ зе́млю, въ ню́же воздвиго́хъ ру́ку мою́, є́же да́ти ю́ и́мъ: и ви́дѣша вся́къ хо́лмъ высо́къ и вся́ко дре́во присѣ́нноє, и пожро́ша та́мо бого́мъ свои́мъ и учини́ша та́мо я́рость даро́въ свои́хъ, и положи́ша та́мо воню́ благово́нія своєго́ и возлія́ша та́мо возлія́нія своя́.

And I said to them, What is Abama, that ye go in thither? and they called its name Abama, until this day.

И реко́хъ къ ни́мъ: что́ су́ть аввама́ {высо́коє}, я́ко вы́ вхо́дите та́мо? и прозва́ша и́мя єму́ аввама́ да́же до дне́шняго дне́.

Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord, Do ye pollute yourselves with the iniquities of your fathers, and do ye go a-whoring after their abominations,

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́ къ до́му Ізра́илеву: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: а́ще во беззако́ніихъ оте́цъ ва́шихъ вы́ оскверня́єтеся и вслѣ́дъ ме́рзостей и́хъ вы́ соблужда́єте,

and do ye pollute yourselves with the first-fruits of your gifts, in the offerings wherewith ye pollute yourselves in all your imaginations, until this day; and shall I answer you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord, I will not answer you, neither shall this thing come upon your spirit.

и въ приноше́ніи даро́въ ва́шихъ и въ наро́цѣхъ ва́шихъ, єгда́ прохо́дятъ ча́да ва́ша сквозѣ́ о́гнь: вы́ оскверня́єтеся во всѣ́хъ кумі́рѣхъ ва́шихъ да́же до дне́шняго дне́, и а́зъ отвѣща́ю ли ва́мъ, до́ме Ізра́илевъ? Живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, а́ще отвѣща́ю ва́мъ и а́ще взы́детъ на ду́хъ ва́шъ сіє́.

And it shall not be as ye say, We will be as the nations, and as the tribes of the earth, to worship stocks and stones.

И не бу́детъ, я́коже вы́ глаго́лете: бу́демъ, я́коже язы́цы и я́коже племена́ земна́я, служи́ти дре́ву и ка́менію.

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord, I will reign over you with a strong hand, and with a high arm, and with outpoured wrath:

Сего́ ра́ди живу́ а́зъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, а́ще не руко́ю крѣ́пкою и мы́шцею высо́кою и въ я́рости излія́ннѣй ца́рствовати бу́ду надъ ва́ми:

I will bring you out from the nations, and will take you out of the lands wherein ye were dispersed, with a strong hand, and with a high arm, and with outpoured wrath.

и изведу́ вы́ от люді́й и пріиму́ вы от стра́нъ, въ ни́хже бѣ́сте разсѣ́яни, руко́ю крѣ́пкою и мы́шцею высо́кою и я́ростію излія́нною,

And I will bring you into the wilderness of the nations, and will plead with you there face to face.

и приведу́ ва́съ въ пусты́ню лю́дскую и разсужду́ся съ ва́ми та́мо лице́мъ къ лицу́:

As I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I judge you, saith the Lord.

я́коже суди́хся со отцы́ ва́шими въ пусты́ни земли́ Єги́петскія, та́ко сужду́ и ва́мъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь:

And I will cause you to pass under my rod, and I will bring you in by number.

и проведу́ вы́ подъ жезло́мъ мои́мъ и введу́ вы́ въ числѣ́ завѣ́та,

And I will separate from among you the ungodly and the revolters; for I will lead them forth out of their place of sojourning, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord, even the Lord.

и изберу́ от ва́съ нечести́выя и отве́ргшыяся: изъ земли́ бо обита́нія и́хъ изведу́ я́, и въ зе́млю Ізра́илеву не вни́дутъ, и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ.

And as to you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord, even the Lord; Put away each one his evil practices, and hereafter if ye hearken to me, then shall ye no more profane my holy name by your gifts and by devices.

Вы́ же, до́ме Ізра́илевъ, си́це глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: кі́йждо кумі́ры своя́ отими́те, и пото́мъ а́ще послу́шаєте мене́, и и́мене моєго́ свята́го не оскверна́вите ксему́ въ дарѣ́хъ ва́шихъ и рукотворе́ніихъ ва́шихъ:

For upon my holy mountain, on the high mountain, saith the Lord, even the Lord, there shall all the house of Israel serve me for ever: and there will I accept you, and there will I have respect to your first-fruits, and the first-fruits of your offerings, in all your holy things.

поне́же на горѣ́ моє́й святѣ́й, на горѣ́ высо́цѣ Ізра́илевѣ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, та́мо послу́жатъ ми́ ве́сь до́мъ Ізра́илевъ до конца́ на земли́, и та́мо пріиму́ я́ и та́мо присѣщу́ на приноше́нія ва́ша и нача́тки обѣ́товъ ва́шихъ во всѣ́хъ освяще́нныхъ ва́шихъ.

I will accept you with a sweet-smelling savour, when I bring you out from the nations, and take you out of the countries wherein ye have been dispersed; and I will be sanctified among you in the sight of the nations.

Въ воню́ благово́нія пріиму́ вы́, єгда́ изведу́ вы́ изъ люді́й и пріиму́ вы́ от стра́нъ, въ ня́же расточе́ни бы́сте, и освящу́ся въ ва́съ предъ очи́ма людски́ма:

And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have brought you into the land of Israel, into the land concerning which I lifted up my hand to give it to your fathers.

и увѣ́сте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь, єгда́ введу́ вы́ въ зе́млю Ізра́илеву, въ зе́млю, на ню́же воздвиго́хъ ру́ку мою́ да́ти ю́ отце́мъ ва́шымъ:

And ye shall there remember your ways, and your devices wherewith ye defiled yourselves; and ye shall bewail yourselves for all your wickedness.

и помяне́те та́мо пути́ ва́шя и вся́ ме́рзкія грѣхи́ ва́шя, въ ни́хже оскверни́стеся, и посрамите́ ли́ца ва́ша во всѣ́хъ зло́бахъ ва́шихъ, я́же сотвори́сте:

And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have done thus to you, that my name may not be profaned in your evil ways, and in your corrupt devices, saith the Lord.

и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь, єгда́ сотворю́ ва́мъ та́ко, я́ко да и́мя моє́ не оскверни́тся по путе́мъ ва́шымъ злы́мъ и по рукотворе́ніємъ ва́шымъ растлѣ́ннымъ, до́ме Ізра́илевъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, set thy face against Thæman, and look toward Darom, and prophesy against the chief forest of Nageb,

сего́ ра́ди прорцы́, сы́не человѣ́чь, и утверди́ лице́ твоє́ на Ієрусали́мъ и воззри́ на святы́ни и́хъ, и прорцы́ на зе́млю Ізра́илеву,

and thou shalt say to the forest of Nageb, Hear the word of the Lord; thus saith the Lord, even the Lord; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour in thee every green tree, and every dry tree: the flame that is kindled shall not be quenched, and every face shall be scorched with it from the south to the north.

и рече́ши ко земли́ Ізра́илевѣ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ на тя́, и извлеку́ ме́чь мо́й изъ ноже́нъ єго́, и потреблю́ от тебе́ непра́веднаго и беззако́ннаго.

And all flesh shall know that I the Lord have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

Поне́же потреблю́ от тебе́ непра́веднаго и беззако́нника, та́ко изы́детъ ме́чь мо́й изъ ноже́нъ свои́хъ на вся́ку пло́ть от ю́га да́же до сѣ́вера,

And I said, Not so, O Lord God! they say to me, Is not this that is spoken a parable?

и увѣ́сть вся́ка пло́ть, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь извлеко́хъ ме́чь мо́й изъ ноже́нъ єго́, и ктому́ не возврати́тся.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, воздохни́ въ сокруше́ніи чре́слъ твои́хъ и въ болѣ́знехъ возстени́ предъ очи́ма и́хъ.

Therefore prophesy, son of man, set thy face steadfastly toward Jerusalem, and look toward their holy places, and thou shalt prophesy against the land of Israel,

И бу́детъ, а́ще реку́тъ къ тебѣ́: чесо́ ра́ди ты́ стене́ши? и рече́ши: о возвѣще́ніи, я́ко гряде́тъ: и сокруши́тся вся́ко се́рдце, и ослабѣ́ютъ вся́ ру́ки, и и́здшетъ вся́ка пло́ть и вся́къ ду́хъ, и вся́ сте́гна оскверна́вятся мокрото́ю: се́, гряде́тъ и бу́детъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

and thou shalt say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I am against thee, and I will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and I will destroy out of thee the transgressor and unrighteous.

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Because I will destroy out of thee the unrighteous and the transgressor, therefore so shall my sword come forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:

сы́не человѣ́чь, прорцы́ и рече́ши: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: рцы́: мечу́, мечу́! изостри́ся и разъяри́ся,

and all flesh shall know that I the Lord have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath: it shall not return any more.

я́ко да изсѣче́ши сѣче́нія: изостри́ся, я́ко да бу́деши въ блеща́ніє и гото́въ на разсы́паніє: сѣцы́, изничтожа́й, отри́ни вся́коє дре́во.

And thou, son of man, groan with the breaking of thy loins; thou shalt even groan heavily in their sight.

И даде́ єго́ угото́ванна, є́же держа́ти въ рука́хъ єго́: наостри́лся ме́чь, гото́въ є́сть, є́же да́нъ бы́ти въ ру́цѣ сѣку́щаго.

And it shall come to pass, if they shall say to thee, Wherefore dost thou groan? that thou shalt say, For the report; because it comes: and every heart shall break, and all hands shall become feeble, and all flesh and every spirit shall faint, and all thighs shall be defiled with moisture: behold, it comes, saith the Lord.

Возопі́й и воспла́чися, сы́не человѣ́чь, я́ко се́й бы́сть въ лю́дехъ мои́хъ, се́й во всѣ́хъ старѣ́йшинахъ Ізра́илевыхъ: обита́ющіи бли́зъ подъ ме́чь бы́ша съ людьми́ мои́ми: сего́ ра́ди восплещи́ рука́ма твои́ма,

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

я́ко оправда́ся. И что́, а́ще и пле́мя отри́нется? Не бу́детъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Son of man, prophesy, and thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Say, Sword, sword, be sharpened and rage,

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, прорцы́ и восплещи́ рука́ма и усугу́би ме́чь: тре́тій ме́чь я́звенымъ є́сть, ме́чь я́звенымъ вели́къ, и ужаси́ши я́,

that thou mayest slay victims; be sharpened that thou mayest be bright, ready for slaughter, slay, set at nought, despise every tree.

я́ко да сокруши́тся се́рдце и́хъ, и умно́жатся немощні́и во всѣ́хъ вратѣ́хъ и́хъ, предаю́тся на усѣче́ніє ме́чноє: бла́го о́стръ бы́сть на сѣче́ніє, бла́го бы́сть на блиста́ніє.

And he made it ready for his hand to hold: the sword is sharpened, it is ready to put into the hand of the slayer.

Проходи́ я́ко мо́лнія, остри́ся одесну́ю и ошу́юю, а́може а́ще лице́ твоє́ воста́нетъ:

Cry out and howl, son of man: for this sword is come upon my people, this sword is come upon all the princes of Israel: they shall be as strangers: judgment with the sword is come upon my people: therefore clap thine hands, for sentence has been passed:

и а́зъ восплещу́ руко́ю моє́ю къ руцѣ́ моє́й и напущу́ я́рость мою́, а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ.

and what if even the tribe be rejected? it shall not be, saith the Lord God.

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

And thou, son of man, prophesy, and clap thine hands, and take a second sword: the third sword is the sword of the slain, the great sword of the slain: and thou shalt strike them with amazement, lest the heart should faint

и ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, учини́ себѣ́ пути́ два́, є́же вни́ти мечу́ царя́ Вавило́нска, от страны́ єди́ныя изы́дутъ нача́ла два́, и ру́ку угото́ваютъ въ нача́лѣ пути́ гра́да, от нача́ла пути́ учини́ши,

and the weak ones be multiplied at every gate—they are given up to the slaughter of the sword: it is well fitted for slaughter, it is well fitted for glittering.

я́ко вни́ти мечу́ на равва́ѳъ сыно́въ Аммо́нихъ и на Іуде́ю и Ієрусали́мъ средѣ́ єго́.

And do thou go on, sharpen thyself on the right and on the left whithersoever thy face may set itself.

Поне́же ста́нетъ ца́рь Вавило́нскъ на ста́рѣмъ пути́, на нача́лѣ обои́хъ путі́й, є́же волхвова́ти волхвова́ніємъ, я́коже вскипѣ́ти жезлу́, и вопроша́ти ва́яныхъ и вражи́ти во утро́бахъ.

And I also will clap my hands, and let loose my fury: I the Lord have spoken it.

И бы́сть одесну́ю єго́ волше́бство на Ієрусали́мъ, є́же обста́вити остро́гъ и є́же отве́рсти уста́ съ во́племъ и возвы́сити гла́съ со глаше́ніємъ тру́бнымъ, и я́ко поста́вити остро́гъ предъ враты́ єго́ и насы́пати пе́рсти и поста́вити стрѣ́лницы.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И то́й а́ки волхву́я и́мъ волхвова́ніє предъ ни́ми, уседмеря́я седмери́цы, и то́й воспомина́яй непра́вды єго́ помяну́ти.

And thou, son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may enter in: the two shall go forth of one country; and there shall be a force at the top of the way of the city, thou shalt set it at the top of the way,

Того́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же воспомяну́сте непра́вды ва́шя, внегда́ откры́шася нече́стія ва́ша, я́ко яви́тися грѣхо́мъ ва́шымъ во всѣ́хъ беззако́ніихъ ва́шихъ и во всѣ́хъ начина́ніихъ ва́шихъ, поне́же воспомяну́сте, въ тѣ́хъ я́ти бу́дете.

that the sword may enter in upon Rabbath of the children of Ammon, and upon Judea, and upon Jerusalem in the midst thereof.

И ты́, скверна́ве, беззако́нниче, старѣ́йшино Ізра́илевъ, єго́же гряде́тъ де́нь во вре́мя непра́вды, коне́цъ:

For the king of Babylon shall stand on the old way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination, to make bright the arrow, and to enquire of the graven images, and to examine the victims.

сія́ глаго́летъ Госпо́дь: сними́ кіда́ръ и отложи́ вѣне́цъ, се́й не тако́въ бу́детъ, смири́лъ єси́ высо́коє и возне́слъ смире́нноє:

On his right was the divination against Jerusalem, to cast a mound, to open the mouth in shouting, to lift up the voice with crying, to cast a mound against her gates, to cast up a heap, and to build forts.

непра́вду, непра́вду, непра́вду положу́ єго́, и то́й не тако́въ бу́детъ, до́ндеже пріи́детъ, єму́же досто́итъ, и преда́мъ єму́.

And he was to them as one using divination before them, and he himself recounting his iniquities, that they might be borne in mind.

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, прорцы́ и рече́ши: се́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь къ сыно́мъ Аммо́нимъ и ко укори́знѣ и́хъ, и рече́ши: мечу́, мечу́ извлече́ный на сѣче́ніє, извлече́ный на сконча́ніє, дви́гнися, я́ко да блиста́єши:

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Because ye have caused your iniquities to be remembered, in the discovery of your wickedness, so that your sins should be seen, in all your wickedness and in your evil practices; because ye have caused remembrance of them, in these shall ye be taken.

въ видѣ́ніи твоє́мъ су́єтнѣмъ, и внегда́ вражби́ти тебѣ́ ло́жная, єгда́ предає́шися ты́ на вы́и я́звеныхъ беззако́нниковъ, и́хже де́нь приспѣ́ во вре́мя непра́вды, коне́цъ:

And thou profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day, even an end, is come in a season of iniquity, thus saith the Lord;

возврати́ся въ ножны́ твоя́ и не ста́ни на мѣ́стѣ се́мъ, въ не́мже роди́лся єси́, на земли́ твоє́й и́мамъ тя́ суди́ти:

Thou hast taken off the mitre and put on the crown, it shall not have such another after it: thou hast abased that which was high, and exalted that which was low.

и излію́ на тя́ гнѣ́въ мо́й, во огни́ гнѣ́ва моєго́ ду́ну на тя́ и преда́мъ тя́ въ ру́цѣ муже́й ва́рваръ, творя́щихъ па́губу:

Injustice, injustice, injustice, will I make it: woe to it: such shall it be until he comes to whom it belongs; and I will deliver it to him.

огню́ бу́деши я́дь, кро́вь твоя́ бу́детъ посредѣ́ земли́ твоєя́: не бу́детъ твоєя́ па́мяти, зане́же а́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ.

And thou, son of man, prophesy, and thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord, concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach; and thou shalt say, O sword, sword, drawn for slaughter, and drawn for destruction, awake, that thou mayest gleam.

While thou art seeing vain visions, and while thou art prophesying falsehoods, to bring thyself upon the necks of ungodly transgressors, the day is come, even an end, in a season of iniquity.

Turn, rest not in this place wherein thou wert born: in thine own land will I judge thee.

And I will pour out my wrath upon thee, I will blow upon thee with the fire of my wrath, and I will deliver thee into the hands of barbarians skilled in working destruction.

Thou shalt be fuel for fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of thy land; there shall be no remembrance at all of thee: for I the Lord have spoken it.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

And thou, son of man, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, declare thou to her all her iniquities.

и ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, а́ще суди́ти бу́деши гра́ду крове́й, и яви́ єму́ вся́ беззако́нія єго́,

And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord God: O city that sheds blood in the midst of her, so that her time should come, and that forms devices against herself, to defile herself;

и рече́ши: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: о, гра́де пролива́яй кро́вь средѣ́ себе́, є́же пріити́ вре́мени єго́, и творя́й кумі́ры на себе́, є́же оскверни́тися самому́:

in their blood which thou hast shed, thou hast transgressed; and in thy devices which thou hast formed, thou hast polluted thyself; and thou hast brought nigh thy days, and hast brought on the time of thy years: therefore have I made thee a reproach to the Gentiles, and a mockery to all the countries,

въ кро́ви и́хъ, ю́же излія́лъ єси́, согрѣши́лъ єси́, и въ кумі́рѣхъ твои́хъ, я́же твори́лъ, оскверни́лся єси́, и сократи́лъ єси́ дни́ твоя́, и приве́дъ вре́мя лѣ́тъ твои́хъ: сего́ ра́ди да́хъ тя́ на укори́зну язы́комъ и на поруга́ніє всѣ́мъ страна́мъ,

to those near thee, and to those far distant from thee; and they shall mock thee, thou that art notoriously unclean, and abundant in iniquities.

бли́зъ тебе́ и дале́че от тебе́ су́щымъ, и поруга́ются тебѣ́ и возопію́тъ на тя́: о, нечи́стый, преслову́тый и мно́гъ во беззако́ніихъ!

Behold, the princes of the house of Israel have conspired in thee each one with his kindred, that they might shed blood.

се́, старѣ́йшины до́му Ізра́илева, кі́йждо ко свои́мъ у́жикамъ смѣси́шася въ тебѣ́, я́ко да пролію́тъ кро́вь:

In thee they have reviled father and mother; and in thee they have behaved unjustly toward the stranger: they have oppressed the orphan and widow.

отцу́ и ма́тери злосло́вяху въ тебѣ́ и ко прише́лцу обраща́хуся непра́вдами въ тебѣ́: сироту́ и вдови́цу преоби́дяху въ тебѣ́:

And they have set at nought my holy things, and in thee they have profaned my sabbaths.

и свята́я моя́ уничижа́ху и суббо́ты моя́ оскверня́ху въ тебѣ́:

There are robbers in thee, to shed blood in thee; and in thee they have eaten upon the mountains: they have wrought ungodliness in the midst of thee.

му́жіє разбо́йницы бѣ́ша въ тебѣ́, я́ко да пролію́тъ въ тебѣ́ кро́вь, и на гора́хъ ядя́ху въ тебѣ́ и скве́рны творя́ху въ тебѣ́:

In thee they have uncovered the father's shame; and in thee they have humbled her that was set apart for uncleanness.

сты́дъ о́тчій откры́ша въ тебѣ́, и въ нечистотѣ́ сѣдя́щую обруга́ша въ тебѣ́:

They have dealt unlawfully each one with his neighbour's wife; and each one in ungodliness has defiled his daughter-in-law: and in thee they have humbled each one his sister, the daughter of his father.

кі́йждо на жену́ по́друга своєго́ беззако́нноваша, и кі́йждо невѣ́стку свою́ оскверня́ше въ нече́стіи, и кі́йждо сестру́ свою́, дще́рь отца́ своєго́, обругава́ше въ тебѣ́:

In thee they have received gifts to shed blood; they have received in thee interest and usurious increase; and by oppression thou hast brought thy wickedness to the full, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord.

мзды́ взима́ху въ тебѣ́, я́ко да пролію́тъ кро́вь, ли́хву и избы́токъ взима́ху въ тебѣ́: и сконча́лъ єси́ сконча́ніє зло́бы твоєя́ я́же въ наси́ліи, мене́ же забы́лъ єси́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And if I shall smite my hand at thine iniquities which thou hast accomplished, which thou hast wrought, and at thy blood that has been shed in the midst of thee,

Се́ у́бо, уда́рю руко́ю моє́ю о ру́ку мою́ на та́, я́же соверши́лъ єси́ и я́же сотвори́лъ єси́, и на кро́ви твоя́ бы́вшыя посредѣ́ тебе́:

shall thy heart endure? shall thine hands be strong in the days which I bring upon thee? I the Lord have spoken, and will do it.

а́ще устои́тъ се́рдце твоє́, и а́ще преодолѣ́ютъ ру́цѣ твои́ во дне́хъ, въ ня́же а́зъ творю́ въ тебѣ́? А́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ, и сотворю́.

And I will scatter thee among the nations, and disperse thee in the countries, and thy uncleanness shall be removed out of thee.

И разсы́плю тя́ во язы́цѣхъ и разсѣ́ю тя́ въ страна́хъ, и оскудѣ́єтъ нечистота́ твоя́ изъ тебе́,

And I will give heritages in thee in the sight of the nations, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и владѣ́ти бу́ду тобо́ю предъ очи́ма язы́ковъ, и позна́єши, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, behold, the house of Israel are all become to me as it were mixed with brass, and iron, and tin, and lead; they are mixed up in the midst of silver.

сы́не человѣ́чь, се́, бы́ша мнѣ́ до́мъ Ізра́илевъ смѣ́шани вси́ съ мѣ́дію и желѣ́зомъ, и со о́ловомъ чи́стымъ и со свинце́мъ, средѣ́ пе́щи сребро́ смѣ́шено су́ть.

Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have become one mixture, therefore I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.

Сего́ ра́ди рцы́: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же бы́сте вси́ во смѣше́ніє єди́но, сего́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ пріиму́ ва́съ во среди́ну Ієрусали́ма:

As silver, and brass, and iron, and tin, and lead, are gathered into the midst of the furnace, to blow fire into it, that they may be melted: so will I take you in my wrath, and I will gather and melt you.

я́коже пріє́млется сребро́ и мѣ́дь, и желѣ́зо и свине́цъ и о́лово чи́стоє во среди́ну пе́щи, є́же ду́нути на ня́ огню́, да слію́тся, та́ко пріиму́ ва́съ во гнѣ́вѣ моє́мъ и въ я́рости моє́й, и соберу́ и слію́ ва́съ,

And I will blow upon you in the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.

и ду́ну на вы́ во огни́ гнѣ́ва моєго́, и слія́ни бу́дете средѣ́ єго́:

As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the Lord have poured out my wrath upon you.

я́коже слива́єтся сребро́ средѣ́ пе́щи, та́ко сліє́теся посредѣ́ єго́ и позна́єте, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь излія́хъ я́рость мою́ на ва́съ.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, say to her, Thou art the land that is not rained upon, neither has rain come upon thee in the day of wrath:

сы́не человѣ́чь, рцы́ єму́: ты́ єси́ земля́ неодожди́мая, ниже́ до́ждь бы́сть на тя́ въ де́нь я́рости.

whose princes in the midst of her are as roaring lions seizing prey, devouring souls by oppression, and taking bribes; and thy widows are multiplied in the midst of thee.

Єго́же старѣ́йшины средѣ́ єго́, я́ко львы́ рыка́юще, восхища́юще восхище́нія, ду́шы изъяда́юще наси́ліємъ, бога́тство и че́сть пріє́млюще, и вдови́цы твоя́ умно́жишася посредѣ́ тебе́:

Her priests also have set at nought my law, and profaned my holy things: they have not distinguished between the holy and profane, nor have they distinguished between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I was profaned in the midst of them.

и жерцы́ єго́ отверго́шася зако́на моєго́ и оскверни́ша свята́я моя́: между́ святы́мъ и скверна́вымъ не разлуча́ху, и между́ нечи́стымъ и чи́стымъ не раздѣля́ху, и от суббо́тъ мои́хъ покрыва́ху о́чи свои́, и оскверня́ху мя́ посредѣ́ себе́:

Her princes in the midst of her are as wolves ravening to shed blood, that they may get dishonest gain.

кня́зи єго́ средѣ́ єго́ я́ко во́лцы восхища́юще похище́нія, є́же пролія́ти кро́вь и погуби́ти ду́шы, я́ко да лихои́мствомъ лихои́мствуютъ:

And her prophets that daub them shall fall, that see vanities, that prophesy falsehoods, saying, Thus saith the Lord, when the Lord has not spoken.

и проро́цы єго́ помазу́ющіи и́хъ паду́тъ, ви́дящіи су́єтная, волхву́ющіи ло́жная, глаго́люще: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: а Госпо́дь не глаго́ла.

That sorely oppress the people of the land with injustice, and commit robbery; oppressing the poor and needy, and not dealing justly with the stranger.

Люді́й земли́ утѣсня́юще непра́вдою и восхища́юще восхище́нія, ни́ща и убо́га наси́льствующе и со прише́лцемъ не живу́ще судо́мъ.

And I sought from among them a man behaving uprightly, and standing before me perfectly in the time of wrath, so that I should not utterly destroy her: but I found him not.

И иска́хъ от ни́хъ му́жа живу́ща пра́во и стоя́ща цѣ́ло предъ лице́мъ мои́мъ во вре́мя гнѣ́ва моєго́, є́же бы не до конца́ погуби́ти єго́ {гра́дъ Ієрусали́мъ}, и не обрѣто́хъ.

So I have poured out my wrath upon her in the fury of mine anger, to accomplish it. I have recompensed their ways on their own heads, saith the Lord God.

И излія́хъ на́нь я́рость мою́ во огни́ гнѣ́ва моєго́, є́же сконча́ти я́: пути́ и́хъ на главы́ и́хъ да́хъ, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, there were two women, daughters of one mother:

сы́не человѣ́чь, двѣ́ женѣ́ бѣ́стѣ дще́ри ма́тере єди́ныя

and they went a-whoring in Egypt in their youth: there their breasts fell, there they lost their virginity.

и соблуди́стѣ во Єги́птѣ, въ ю́ности своє́й соблуди́стѣ: та́мо спадо́ша сосцы́ и́хъ, и та́мо растли́стѣ дѣ́вство.

And their names were Oola the elder, and Ooliba her sister: and they were mine, and bore sons and daughters: and as for their names, Samaria was Oola, and Jerusalem was Ooliba.

Имена́ же и́ма: оола́ старѣ́йшая, ооліва́ же ме́ншая сестра́ єя́: и бы́стѣ мнѣ́ и роди́стѣ сы́ны и дще́ри: имена́ же и́ма: самарі́а оола́, и Ієрусали́мъ ооліва́.

And Oola went a-whoring from me, and doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians that were her neighbours,

И соблуди́ оола́ от мене́ и возложи́ся на похотники́ своя́, на Ассирі́аны приближа́ющыяся є́й,

clothed with purple, princes and captains; they were young men and choice, all horsemen riding on horses.

облече́нныя въ червлени́цы, старѣ́йшины и воєво́ды: ю́ноши избра́нніи, вси́ ко́нницы яздя́щіи на ко́нехъ:

And she bestowed her fornication upon them; all were choice sons of the Assyrians: and on whomsoever she doted herself, with them she defiled herself in all their devices.

и даде́ блуже́ніє своє́ къ ни́мъ: избра́ннымъ сыно́мъ Ассирі́йскимъ всѣ́мъ, и ко всѣ́мъ, на ня́же возлага́шеся, во всѣ́хъ нечистота́хъ и́хъ оскверня́шеся:

And she forsook not her fornication with the Egyptians: for in her youth they committed fornication with her, and they deflowered her, and poured out their fornication upon her.

и блуже́нія своєго́, є́же изъ Єги́пта, не оста́ви, я́ко съ не́ю спа́ху въ ю́ности єя́, и ті́и растли́ша дѣ́вство єя́ и излія́ша блуже́ніє своє́ на ню́.

Therefore I delivered her into the hands of her lovers, into the hands of the children of the Assyrians, on whom she doted.

Того́ ра́ди преда́хъ ю́ въ ру́цѣ похотнико́мъ єя́, въ ру́цѣ сыно́мъ Ассирі́йскимъ, на ни́хже возлага́шеся.

They uncovered her shame: they took her sons and daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became a byword among women; and they wrought vengeance in her for the sake of the daughters.

Ті́и откры́ша сты́дъ єя́, сы́ны и дще́ри єя́ поя́ша и саму́ю мече́мъ усѣ́кнуша: и бы́сть поноше́ніє въ жена́хъ, и отмще́ніє сотвори́ша въ не́й во дщере́хъ єя́.

And her sister Ooliba saw it, and she indulged in her fondness more corruptly than she, and in her fornication more than the fornication of her sister.

И ви́дѣ сестра́ єя́ ооліва́, и растли́ возложе́ніє своє́ па́че єя́, и блу́дъ сво́й па́че блуда́ сестры́ своєя́ умно́жи:

She doted upon the sons of the Assyrians, princes and captains, her neighbours, clothed with fine linen, horsemen riding on horses; they were all choice young men.

на сыно́въ Ассирі́йскихъ возложи́ся, на старѣ́йшины и воєво́ды, и́же бли́зъ єя́, облече́нны во благоистка́нны, на ко́нники яздя́щыя на ко́нехъ, ю́ноши избра́нни вси́.

And I saw that they were defiled, that the two had one way.

И ви́дѣхъ, я́ко оскверни́ся пу́ть єди́нъ обою́.

And she increased her fornication, and she saw men painted on the wall, likenesses of the Chaldeans painted with a pencil,

И приложи́ ко блуже́нію своєму́, и ви́дѣ му́жы напи́саны на стѣнѣ́, о́бразы халде́йски напи́саны ша́рами,

having variegated girdles on their loins, having also richly dyed attire upon their heads; all had a princely appearance, the likeness of the children of the Chaldeans, of their native land.

препоя́саны пестрота́ми о чре́слѣхъ свои́хъ, и прево́и краше́нніи на глава́хъ и́хъ, ви́дъ троя́кій всѣ́хъ, подо́біє сыно́въ Вавило́нскихъ, Халде́йскихъ, земли́ оте́чества и́хъ:

And she doted upon them as soon as she saw them, and sent forth messengers to them into the land of the Chaldeans.

и возложи́ся на ня́ зрѣ́ніємъ оче́й свои́хъ, и посла́ послы́ къ ни́мъ въ зе́млю Халде́йску.

And the sons of Babylon came to her, into the bed of rest, and they defiled her in her fornication, and she was defiled by them, and her soul was alienated from them.

И пріидо́ша къ не́й сы́нове Вавило́нстіи на ло́же вита́ющихъ и оскверни́ша ю́ въ блуже́ніи єя́, и оскверни́ся въ ни́хъ, и отступи́ душа́ єя́ от ни́хъ:

And she exposed her fornication, and exposed her shame: and my soul was alienated from her, even as my soul was alienated from her sister.

и откры́ блуже́ніє своє́ и откры́ срамоту́ свою́. И отступи́ душа́ моя́ от нея́, я́коже отступи́ душа́ моя́ от сестры́ єя́.

And thou didst multiply thy fornication, so as to call to remembrance the days of thy youth, wherein thou didst commit whoredom in Egypt,

И умно́жила єси́ блуже́ніє твоє́, є́же помяну́ти дни́ ю́ности твоєя́, въ ня́же блуди́ла єси́ во Єги́птѣ,

and thou didst dote upon the Chaldeans, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and their members as the members of horses.

и возлегла́ єси́ на халде́и, и́хже пло́ти бы́ша а́ки пло́ти о́сли, и я́ко ло́на ко́нская ло́на и́хъ,

And thou didst look upon the iniquity of thy youth, the things which thou wroughtest in Egypt in thy lodging, where were the breasts of thy youth.

и посѣти́ла єси́ беззако́ніє ю́ности твоєя́, я́же твори́ла єси́ во Єги́птѣ во вита́лищи твоє́мъ, идѣ́же сосцы́ ю́ности твоєя́ спадо́ста.

Therefore, Ooliba, thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will stir up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy soul is alienated, and I will bring them upon thee round about,

Того́ ра́ди, ооліво́, сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ воздви́гну похотники́ твоя́ на тя́, от ни́хже отступи́ душа́ твоя́, и наведу́ и́хъ на тя́ о́крестъ,

the children of Babylon, and all the Chaldeans, Phacuc, and Sue, and Hychue, and all the sons of the Assyrians with them; choice young men, governors and captains, all princes and renowned, riding on horses.

сыно́въ Вавило́нскихъ и всѣ́хъ халде́євъ, факу́да и су́да и ку́да, и вся́ сы́ны Ассирі́йски съ ни́ми, ю́ношы избра́нны, старѣ́йшины и воєво́ды, вся́ тріста́ты и наро́читыя, ко́нники на ко́нехъ вси́.

And they all shall come upon thee from the north, chariots and wheels, with a multitude of nations, shields and targets; and the enemy shall set a watch against thee round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall take vengeance on thee with their judgments.

И пріи́дутъ на тя́ вси́ от сѣ́вера, колесни́цы и коле́са со мно́гимъ наро́домъ, щиты́ и су́лицы и шле́мы, и поста́вятъ стражбу́ о́крестъ тебе́, и да́мъ предъ лице́мъ и́хъ су́дъ, и отмстя́тъ ти́ въ судѣ́хъ свои́хъ:

And I will bring upon thee my jealousy, and they shall deal with thee in great wrath: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and shall cast down thy remnant with the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy remnant fire shall devour.

и да́мъ рве́ніє моє́ въ тебѣ́, и сотворя́тъ съ тобо́ю гнѣ́въ я́рости моєя́, но́здри твоя́ и у́шы твои́ обрѣ́жутъ, и оста́вшихъ твои́хъ мече́мъ изсѣку́тъ: ті́и сыно́въ твои́хъ и дще́рей твои́хъ во́змутъ, и оста́вшихъ твои́хъ потреби́тъ о́гнь:

And they shall strip thee of thy raiment, and take away thine ornaments.

и совлеку́тъ съ тебе́ ри́зы твоя́ и во́змутъ сосу́ды хвалы́ твоєя́.

So I will turn back thine ungodliness from thee, and thy fornication from the land of Egypt: and thou shalt not lift up thine eyes upon them, and shalt no more remember Egypt.

И отвращу́ нече́стія твоя́ от тебе́ и блу́дъ тво́й от земли́ Єги́петскія: и не воздви́гнеши оче́съ твои́хъ на ни́хъ и Єги́пта не помяне́ши ктому́.

Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hands of those whom thou hatest, from whom thy soul is alienated.

Поне́же сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ предаю́ тя въ ру́цѣ, и́хже ненави́диши, от ни́хже отступи́ душа́ твоя́:

And they shall deal with thee in hatred, and shall take all the fruits of thy labours and thy toils, and thou shalt be naked and bare: and the shame of thy fornication shall be exposed: and thy ungodliness and thy fornication

и сотворя́тъ въ тебѣ́ въ не́нависти, и во́змутъ вся́ труды́ твоя́ и дѣла́ твоя́, и бу́деши нага́ и посра́млена, и откры́єтся сту́дъ блуда́ твоєго́ и нече́стіє твоє́.

brought this upon thee, in that thou wentest a-whoring after the nations, and didst defile thyself with their devices.

И блуже́ніє твоє́ сотвори́ сія́ тебѣ́, єгда́ блуди́ла єси́ вслѣ́дъ язы́ковъ и оскверня́лася въ кумі́рѣхъ и́хъ:

Thou didst walk in the way of thy sister; and I will put her cup into thine hands.

въ пути́ сестры́ твоєя́ ходи́ла єси́, и да́мъ ча́шу єя́ въ ру́цѣ твои́.

Thus saith the Lord; Drink thy sister's cup, deep and large, and full, to cause complete drunkenness.

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: ча́шу сестры́ твоєя́ испіє́ши глубо́кую и широ́кую, и бу́детъ на смѣ́хъ и подражне́ніє, изоби́лную ко соверше́нію пія́нства,

And thou shalt be thoroughly weakened; and the cup of destruction, the cup of thy sister Samaria,

и разслабле́нія напо́лнишися: ча́ша же потребле́нія и погубле́нія ча́ша сестры́ твоєя́ самарі́и:

drink thou it, and I will take away her feasts and her new moons: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord.

и испіє́ши ю́ и истощи́ши, и чре́пъ єя́ яду́щи потреби́ши, и сосца́ твоя́ отто́ргнеши: и пра́здники и новоме́сячія твоя́ отвращу́: поне́же а́зъ глаго́лахъ, рече́ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Therefore thus saith the Lord; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore receive thou the reward of thine ungodliness and thy fornication.

Сего́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же забы́ла мя́ єси́ и отве́ргла мене́ наза́дъ тѣ́ла твоєго́, и ты́ возми́ нече́стіє твоє́ и блу́дъ тво́й.

And the Lord said to me; Son of man, wilt thou not judge Oola and Ooliba? and declare to them their iniquities?

И рече́ Госпо́дь ко мнѣ́: сы́не человѣ́чь, не бу́деши ли суди́ти оолѣ́ и оолівѣ́, и возвѣсти́ши ли и́ма беззако́нія єю́?

For they have committed adultery, and blood was in their hands, they committed adultery with their devices, and they passed through the fire to them their children which they bore to me.

я́ко любодѣ́йствовастѣ, и кро́вь въ рука́хъ єю́, и въ кумі́рѣхъ єю́ прелюбодѣ́йствовастѣ, и ча́да своя́, я́же роди́стѣ мнѣ́, провожда́стѣ и́мъ сквозѣ́ о́гнь.

So long too as they did these things to me, they defiled my sanctuary, and profaned my sabbaths.

Да́же и сія́ сотвори́стѣ ми́, оскверня́стѣ свята́я моя́ въ то́й де́нь, и суббо́ты моя́ оскверня́стѣ:

And when they sacrificed their children to their idols, they also went into my sanctuary to profane it: and whereas they did thus in the midst of my house;

и внегда́ закала́стѣ ча́да своя́ кумі́ромъ свои́мъ, и вхожда́стѣ во свята́я моя́ въ то́й де́нь, є́же скверни́ти я́: и се́, та́ко творя́стѣ средѣ́ до́му моєго́:

and whereas they did thus to the men that came from afar, to whom they sent messengers, and as soon as they came, immediately thou didst wash thyself, and didst paint thine eyes and adorn thyself with ornaments,

и посыла́стѣ ко муже́мъ гряду́щымъ издале́ча, къ ни́мже посло́въ посыла́стѣ. И єгда́ приходи́ти и́мъ, а́біє умыва́лася єси́ и утваря́ла єси́ о́чи твои́ и украша́лася у́тварію,

and satest on a prepared bed, and before it there was a table set out, and as for mine incense and mine oil, they rejoiced in them,

и сѣдѣ́ла єси́ на одрѣ́ по́стланѣ, и трапе́за укра́шенна предъ лице́мъ єя́, и ѳиміа́мъ мо́й и єле́й мо́й предлага́ла предъ ни́ми, и веселя́хуся въ ни́хъ:

and they raised a sound of music, and that with men coming from the wilderness out of a multitude of men, and they put bracelets on their hands, and a crown of glory on their heads;

и гла́сомъ сли́чнымъ возглаша́ху, и ко муже́мъ от мно́жества человѣ́ча приходя́щымъ от пусты́ни, и дая́ху пе́рстни на ру́ки и́хъ и вѣне́цъ хвалы́ на главы́ и́хъ.

Therefore I said, Do they not commit adultery with these? and has she also gone a-whoring after the manner of a harlot?

И реко́хъ: не въ си́хъ ли прелюбодѣ́йствуютъ? и дѣла́ блудни́цы, и сама́ соблуди́.

And they went in to her, as men go in to a harlot; so they went in to Oola and to Ooliba to work iniquity.

И вхожда́ху къ не́й: я́коже вла́зятъ къ женѣ́ блудни́цѣ, та́ко вла́зяху ко оолѣ́ и ко оолівѣ́, жена́мъ беззако́нницамъ, є́же сотвори́ти беззако́ніє.

And they are just men, and shall take vengeance on them with the judgment of an adulteress and the judgment of blood: for they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

Му́жіє же пра́ведніи, ті́и и отмстя́тъ и́ма отмще́ніємъ любодѣ́йницъ и отмще́ніємъ пролива́ющихъ кро́вь, я́ко любодѣ́йцы су́ть, и кро́вь въ рука́хъ и́хъ.

Thus saith the Lord God, Bring up a multitude upon them, and send trouble and plunder into the midst of them.

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: приведи́ на ни́хъ наро́ды и да́ждь на ни́хъ мяте́жъ и разграбле́ніє,

And stone them with the stones of a multitude, and pierce them with their swords: they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and shall burn up their houses.

и ве́ржи ка́меніє на ни́хъ, ка́меніє наро́довъ, и да избоду́тъ и́хъ мечьми́ свои́ми: сы́ны и́хъ и дще́ри и́хъ избію́тъ и до́мы и́хъ огне́мъ сожгу́тъ:

And I will remove ungodliness out of the land, and all the women shall be instructed, and shall not do according to their ungodliness.

и отвращу́ нече́стіє от земли́, и нака́жутся вся́ жены́ и не сотворя́тъ по нече́стіємъ и́хъ:

And your ungodliness shall be recompensed upon you, and ye shall bear the guilt of your devices: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и да́стся нече́стіє ва́ше на вы́: и [вся́] грѣхи́ кумі́ръ ва́шихъ пріи́мете и уразумѣ́єте, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́, въ девя́тоє лѣ́то, въ ме́сяцъ деся́тый, въ деся́тый де́нь ме́сяца, глаго́ля:

Son of man, write for thyself daily from this day, on which the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem, even from this day.

сы́не человѣ́чь, напиши́ себѣ́ и́мя дне́ сего́, от него́же укрѣпи́ся ца́рь Вавило́нскій на Ієрусали́мъ, от сего́ дне́, и́же дне́сь,

And speak a parable to the provoking house, and thou shalt say to them, Thus saith the Lord; Set on the caldron, and pour water into it:

и рцы́ при́тчу къ до́му прогнѣвля́ющему, и рече́ши къ ни́мъ: сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: наста́ви коно́бъ, наста́ви и влі́й въ о́нь во́ду,

and put the pieces into it, every prime piece, the leg and shoulder taken off from the bones,

и ве́рзи въ о́нь на дво́є разсѣче́ная, вся́коє разсѣче́ніє до́броє, го́лень и ра́мо, обрѣ́зана от косте́й,

which are taken from choice cattle, and burn the bones under them: her bones are boiled and cooked in the midst of her.

о избра́нныхъ ското́въ взя́тая, и подгнѣща́й костьми́ подъ ними́: возврѣ́ и воскипѣ́, и свари́шася ко́сти єго́ посредѣ́ єго́.

Therefore thus saith the Lord; O bloody city, the caldron in which there is scum, and the scum has not gone out of, she has brought it forth piece by piece, no lot has fallen upon it.

Того́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: о, граде́ крове́й! коно́бе, въ не́мже є́сть я́дъ, и я́дъ не изы́де изъ него́: по у́домъ єго́ изнесе́, не паде́ на не́мъ жре́бій.

For her blood is in the midst of her; I have set it upon a smooth rock: I have not poured it out upon the earth, so that the earth should cover it;

Я́ко кро́вь єго́ средѣ́ єго́ є́сть, на гла́дцѣмъ ка́мени вчини́хъ ю́: не пролія́хъ єя́ на зе́млю, є́же покры́ти ю́ земле́ю,

that my wrath should come up for complete vengeance to be taken: I set her blood upon a smooth rock, so as not to cover it.

є́же навести́ я́рость мою́ [на ню́], во отмще́ніє є́же отмсти́ти: да́хъ кро́вь єго́ на гла́дцѣмъ ка́мени, є́же не покры́ти єя́.

Therefore thus saith the Lord, I will also make the firebrand great,

Того́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: о, лю́тѣ, граде́ крове́й! а́зъ же возвели́чу главню́

and I will multiply the wood, and kindle the fire, that the flesh may be consumed, and the liquor boiled away;

и умно́жу дрова́ и возгнѣщу́ о́гнь, я́ко да иста́ютъ мяса́, и оскудѣ́єтъ юха́, и ко́сти иста́ютъ,

and that it may stand upon the coals, that her brass may be thoroughly heated, and be melted in the midst of her filthiness, and her scum may be consumed,

и ста́нетъ на главня́хъ єго́, [то́щь] разгорѣ́ся, я́ко да изгори́тъ, и распали́тся и сгори́тъ мѣ́дь єго́, и иста́єтъ средѣ́ єго́ нечистота́ єго́, и оскудѣ́єтъ я́дъ єго́:

and her abundant scum may not come forth of her.

да смири́тся я́дъ єго́, и не изы́детъ изъ него́ мно́гій я́дъ єго́, и посрами́тся я́дъ єго́:

Her scum shall become shameful, because thou didst defile thyself: and what if thou shalt be purged no more until I have accomplished my wrath?

въ нечистотѣ́ твоє́й укро́пъ, поне́же оскверня́лся єси́ ты́ и не очи́стился от нечистоты́ твоєя́: и что́ бу́детъ а́ще не очи́стишися по се́мъ, до́ндеже испо́лню я́рость мою́ въ тебѣ́?

I the Lord have spoken; and it shall come, and I will do it; I will not delay, neither will I have any mercy: I will judge thee, saith the Lord, according to thy ways, and according to thy devices: therefore will I judge thee according to thy bloodshed, and according to thy devices will I judge thee, thou unclean, notorious, and abundantly provoking one.

А́зъ Госпо́дь глаго́лахъ, и пріи́детъ, и сотворю́, и не укосню́, и не пощажу́, и не бу́ду умоле́нъ: по путе́мъ твои́мъ и по помысло́мъ твои́мъ сужду́ тебѣ́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: сего́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ сужду́ тебѣ́ по кро́вемъ твои́мъ и по помысло́мъ твои́мъ сужду́ тебѣ́, нечи́сте, преслову́те и вели́кій на разгнѣ́ваніє.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, behold I take from thee the desire of thine eyes by violence: thou shalt not lament, neither shalt thou weep.

сы́не человѣ́чь, се́, а́зъ взе́млю от тебе́ жела́нія оче́съ твои́хъ въ пораже́ніи, не воспла́чи, ниже́ возрыда́й, ниже́ да пріи́дутъ тебѣ́ сле́зы,

Thou shalt groan for blood, and have mourning upon thy loins; thy hair shall not be braided upon thee, and thy sandals shall be on thy feet; thou shalt in no wise be comforted by their lips, and thou shalt not eat the bread of men.

возстени́ молчя́: стена́ніє кро́ве, чре́слъ пла́чь є́сть: да бу́дутъ вла́си твои́ сплете́ни на тебѣ́, и сапо́зи твои́ на нога́хъ твои́хъ, и да не утѣ́шишися устна́ми и́хъ, и хлѣ́ба муже́й да не снѣ́си.

And I spoke to the people in the morning, as he commanded me in the evening, and I did in the morning as it was commanded me.

И глаго́лахъ къ лю́демъ зау́тра, я́коже заповѣ́да ми́, и у́мре жена́ моя́ въ ве́черъ, и сотвори́хъ зау́тра, я́коже повелѣ́ся ми́.

And the people said to me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are that thou doest?

И реко́ша ко мнѣ́ лю́діє: не возвѣсти́ши ли на́мъ, что́ су́ть сія́, я́же ты́ твори́ши?

Then I said to them, The word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И реко́хъ къ ни́мъ: сло́во Госпо́дне бы́сть ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Say to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the boast of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and for which your souls are concerned; and your sons and your daughters, whom ye have left, shall fall by the sword.

рцы́ къ до́му Ізра́илеву, сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ оскверню́ свята́я моя́, велича́нія крѣ́пости ва́шея, жела́нія оче́съ ва́шихъ, и и́хже щадя́тъ ду́ши ва́шя: и сы́нове ва́ши и дще́ри ва́шя, я́же оста́висте, мече́мъ паду́тъ:

And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not be comforted at their mouth, and ye shall not eat the bread of men.

и сотворите́, я́коже а́зъ сотвори́хъ: от у́стъ и́хъ не утѣ́шитеся и хлѣ́ба муже́й не снѣ́сте,

And your hair shall be upon your head, and your shoes on your feet: neither shall ye at all lament or weep; but ye shall pine away in your iniquities, and shall comfort every one his brother.

и вла́си ва́ши на глава́хъ ва́шихъ, и сапо́зи ва́ши на нога́хъ ва́шихъ: не бу́дете терза́тися, ниже́ пла́кати, и иста́єте въ непра́вдахъ ва́шихъ, и не утѣ́шите кі́йждо бра́та своєго́.

And Jezekiel shall be for a sign to you: according to all that I have done shall ye do, when these things shall come; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

И бу́детъ ва́мъ Ієзекі́иль въ чу́до: по всему́ єли́ка сотвори́хъ, сотворите́: єгда́ пріи́дутъ сія́, и уразумѣ́єте, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And thou, son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take their strength from them, the pride of their boasting, the desires of their eyes, and the pride of their soul, their sons and their daughters,

И ты́, сы́не человѣ́чь, не въ де́нь ли то́й, єгда́ возму́ от ни́хъ крѣ́пость и́хъ, вознесе́ніє хвальбы́ и́хъ, жела́нія о́чію и́хъ и возноше́ніє души́ и́хъ, сы́ны и́хъ и дще́ри и́хъ:

that in that day he that escapes shall come to thee, to tell it thee in thine ears?

въ то́й де́нь пріи́детъ уцѣлѣ́вый къ тебѣ́ возвѣсти́ти тебѣ́ во у́шы,

In that day thy mouth shall be opened to him that escapes; thou shalt speak, and shalt be no longer dumb: and thou shalt be for a sign to them, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

въ то́й де́нь отве́рзутся уста́ твоя́ ко уцѣлѣ́вшему, и возглаго́леши и не премолчи́ши ктому́, и бу́деши и́мъ въ чу́до: и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, set thy face steadfastly against the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them;

сы́не человѣ́чь, утверди́ лице́ твоє́ на сы́ны Аммо́ни и прорцы́ на ня́,

and thou shalt say to the children of Ammon, Hear ye the word of the Lord; thus saith the Lord; Forasmuch as ye have rejoiced against my sanctuary, because it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, because it was laid waste; and against the house of Juda, because they went into captivity;

и рече́ши сыно́мъ Аммо́нимъ [глаго́ля]: слы́шите сло́во Го́спода Адоная́, сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же пора́довастеся от святы́хъ мои́хъ, я́ко оскверне́на бы́ша, и о земли́ Ізра́илевѣ, я́ко поги́бе, и о дому́ Іу́динѣ, я́ко отъи́де въ плѣне́ніє:

therefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of Kedem for an inheritance, and they shall lodge in thee with their stuff, and they shall pitch their tents in thee: they shall eat thy fruits, and they shall drink thy milk.

того́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ предаю́ ва́съ сыно́мъ Кеде́млимъ въ наслѣ́діє, и вселя́тся со имѣ́ніємъ свои́мъ въ тебѣ́ и поста́вятъ въ тебѣ́ селе́нія своя́: ті́и поядя́тъ плоды́ твоя́, и ті́и испію́тъ ту́къ тво́й:

And I will give up the city of Ammon for camels' pastures, and the children of Ammon for a pasture of sheep: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

и да́мъ гра́дъ Аммо́нь па́ствы велблю́довъ и сы́ны Аммо́ни на па́ству ове́цъ, и уразумѣ́єте, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

For thus saith the Lord; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with thy foot, and heartily rejoiced against the land of Israel;

Сего́ ра́ди та́ко глаго́летъ Госпо́дь Бо́гъ: поне́же восплеска́лъ єси́ руко́ю твоє́ю и потопта́лъ ного́ю твоє́ю и пора́довался єси́ душе́ю твоє́ю о земли́ Ізра́илевѣ,

therefore I will stretch out my hand against thee, and I will make thee a spoil to the nations; and I will utterly destroy thee from among the peoples, and I will completely cut thee off from out of the countries: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

того́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ простру́ ру́ку мою́ на тя́ и да́мъ тя́ въ разграбле́ніє язы́комъ, и потреблю́ тя от люді́й и погублю́ тя от стра́нъ па́губою, и увѣ́си, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Thus saith the Lord; Because Moab has said, Behold, are not the house of Israel and Juda like all the other nations?

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же рече́ Моа́въ и Сиі́ръ: се́, я́коже вси́ язы́цы, до́мъ Ізра́илевъ и Іу́да,

Therefore, behold, I will weaken the shoulder of Moab from his frontier cities, even the choice land, the house of Bethasimuth above the fountain of the city, by the sea-side.

сего́ ра́ди, се́, а́зъ разсла́блю мы́шцу Моа́влю от градо́въ кра́йнихъ єго́, избра́нную зе́млю, до́мъ Іасіму́ѳовъ надъ исто́чникомъ гра́да примо́рскаго [ваєлмо́на и каріаѳаі́ма]:

I have given him the children of Kedem in addition to the children of Ammon for an inheritance, that there may be no remembrance of the children of Ammon.

сы́ны Кеде́мли на сы́ны Аммо́ни да́хъ я́ въ наслѣ́діє, я́ко да не бу́детъ па́мяти сыно́въ Аммо́нихъ во язы́цѣхъ:

And I will execute vengeance on Moab; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

и въ Моа́вѣ сотворю́ отмще́ніє, и увѣ́дятъ, я́ко а́зъ Госпо́дь.

Thus saith the Lord; Because of what the Idumeans have done in taking vengeance on the house of Juda, and because they have remembered injuries, and have exacted full recompence;

Сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же сотвори́ Ідуме́а, єгда́ отмсти́ша ті́и отмще́ніємъ [во гнѣ́вѣ] до́му Іу́дову, и памятозло́бствоваша и отмсти́ша прю́ от ни́хъ:

therefore thus saith the Lord; I will also stretch out my hand upon Idumea, and will utterly destroy out of it man and beast; and will make it desolate; and they that are pursued out of Thæman shall fall by the sword.

того́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: простру́ ру́ку мою́ на Ідуме́ю и потреблю́ от нея́ человѣ́ки и ско́тъ и поста́влю ю́ пу́сту, и от Ѳема́нъ гони́ми мече́мъ паду́тъ:

And I will execute my vengeance on Idumea by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall deal in Idumea according to mine anger and according to my wrath, and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord.

и да́мъ отмще́ніє моє́ на Ідуме́ю руко́ю люді́й мои́хъ Ізра́иля, и сотворя́тъ во Ідуме́и по гнѣ́ву моєму́ и по я́рости моє́й, и увѣ́дятъ отмще́ніє моє́, глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь.

Therefore thus saith the Lord, Because the Philistines have wrought revengefully, and raised up vengeance rejoicing from their heart to destroy the Israelites to a man;

Сего́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: поне́же сотвори́ша иноплеме́нницы во отмще́ніи и возста́виша ме́сть ра́дующеся все́ю душе́ю є́же потреби́ти да́же до вѣ́ка,

therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will stretch out my hand upon the Philistines, and will utterly destroy the Cretans, and will cut off the remnant that dwell by the sea-coast.

того́ ра́ди сія́ глаго́летъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь: се́, а́зъ простру́ ру́ку мою́ на иноплеме́нники, и потреблю́ кри́тянъ, и погублю́ оста́вшыя живу́щыя на примо́ріи,

And I will execute great vengeance upon them; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have brought my vengeance upon them.

и сотворю́ въ ни́хъ отмще́ніє вели́ко, во обличе́ніихъ я́рости моєя́, и уразумѣ́ютъ, я́ко а́зъ Адонаі́ Госпо́дь, єгда́ да́мъ отмще́ніє моє́ на ня́.

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

И бы́сть во єдинонадеся́тоє лѣ́то, въ пе́рвый де́нь ме́сяца, бы́сть сло́во Госпо́дне ко мнѣ́ глаго́ля:

Son of man, because Sor has said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is crushed: the nations are destroyed: she is turned to me: she that was full is made desolate:

сы́не человѣ́чь, поне́же рече́ со́ръ на Ієрусали́ма: бла́гоже, сокруши́ся, погибо́ша язы́цы, обрати́ся ко мнѣ́, и́же бѣ́ испо́лненый, опустѣ́:
