Бы́сть же въ то́ вре́мя, отъи́де Іу́да от бра́тіи своєя́ и пріи́де къ человѣ́ку нѣ́коєму Одолламі́тину, єму́же и́мя Іра́съ:
|
And it came to pass at that time that Judas went down from his brethren, and came as far as to a certain man of Odollam, whose name was Iras.
|

|
и ви́дѣ та́мо Іу́да дще́рь человѣ́ка Ханане́йска, є́йже и́мя Сава́: и поя́тъ ю́, и вни́де къ не́й:
|
And Judas saw there the daughter of a Chananitish man, whose name was Sava; and he took her, and went in to her.
|

|
и заче́нши роди́ сы́на, и нарече́ и́мя єму́ И́ръ:
|
And she conceived and bore a son, and called his name, Er.
|
|

|
|
и заче́нши єще́ роди́ сы́на и нарече́ и́мя єму́ Авна́нъ:
|
And she conceived and bore a son again; and called his name, Aunan.
|

|
|
и приложи́вши роди́ сы́на [тре́тіяго] и нарече́ и́мя Сило́мъ: сія́ же бѣ́ въ Ха́свѣ, єгда́ роди́ си́хъ.
|
And she again bore a son; and called his name, Selom: and she was in Chasbi when she bore them.
|

И поя́ Іу́да жену́ И́ру пе́рвенцу своєму́, є́йже и́мя Ѳама́рь.
|
And Judas took a wife for Er his first-born, whose name was Thamar.
|

|
Бы́сть же И́ръ пе́рвенецъ Іу́динъ зо́лъ предъ Го́сподемъ: и уби́ єго́ Бо́гъ.
|
And Er, the first-born of Judas, was wicked before the Lord; and God killed him.
|

|
Рече́ же Іу́да Авна́ну: вни́ди къ женѣ́ бра́та твоєго́ и совокупи́ся съ не́ю, и возста́ви сѣ́мя бра́ту твоєму́.
|
And Judas said to Aunan, Go in to thy brother's wife, and marry her as her brother-in-law, and raise up seed to thy brother.
|

Позна́въ же Авна́нъ, я́ко не єму́ бу́детъ сѣ́мя, бы́сть єгда́ вхожда́ше къ женѣ́ бра́та своєго́, пролива́ше [сѣ́мя] на зе́млю, є́же не да́ти сѣ́мене бра́ту своєму́:
|
And Aunan, knowing that the seed should not be his—it came to pass when he went in to his brother's wife, that he spilled it upon the ground, so that he should not give seed to his brother's wife.
|

|
зло́ же яви́ся предъ Бо́гомъ, я́ко сотвори́ сіє́: и умертви́ и сего́.
|
And his doing this appeared evil before God; and he slew him also.
|

|
Рече́ же Іу́да Ѳама́ри, невѣ́стцѣ своє́й [по сме́рти дву́ сыно́въ свои́хъ]: сѣди́ вдово́ю въ дому́ отца́ твоєго́, до́ндеже вели́къ бу́детъ Сило́мъ, сы́нъ мо́й. Рече́ бо [во умѣ́ си́]: да не когда́ у́мретъ и се́й, я́коже и бра́тія єго́. Отше́дши же Ѳама́рь, сѣдя́ше въ дому́ отца́ своєго́.

And Judas said to Thamar, his daughter-in-law, Sit thou a widow in the house of thy father-in-law, until Selom my son be grown; for he said, Lest he also die as his brethren; and Thamar departed, and sat in the house of her father.
|

|
Умно́жишася же дні́є, и у́мре Сава́, жена́ Іу́дина. И утѣ́шився Іу́да, взы́де къ стригу́щымъ о́вцы єго́ са́мъ, и Іра́съ па́стырь єго́ Одолламі́тинъ, во Ѳа́мну.
|
And the days were fulfilled, and Sava the wife of Judas died; and Judas, being comforted, went to them that sheared his sheep, himself and Iras his shepherd the Odollamite, to Thamna.
|

|
И возвѣсти́ша Ѳама́ри невѣ́стцѣ єго́, глаго́люще: се́, све́коръ тво́й восхо́дитъ во Ѳа́мну стрищи́ о́вцы своя́.
|
And it was told Thamar his daughter-in-law, saying, Behold, thy father-in-law goeth up to Thamna, to shear his sheep.
|

|
Она́ же све́ргши ри́зы вдовства́ съ себе́, облече́ся въ ри́зу лѣ́тнюю и украси́ся, и сѣ́де предъ враты́ Єна́ни, я́же су́ть на пути́ Ѳа́мны: вѣ́дяше бо, я́ко вели́къ бы́сть Сило́мъ: се́й же не даде́ єя́ єму́ въ жену́.
|
And having taken off the garments of her widowhood from her, she put on a veil, and ornamented her face, and sat by the gates of Ænan, which is in the way to Thamna, for she saw that Selom was grown; but he gave her not to him for a wife.

И ви́дѣвъ ю́ Іу́да, возмнѣ́ ю́ блудни́цу бы́ти: покры́ бо лице́ своє́, и не позна́ єя́.
|
And when Judas saw her, he thought her to be a harlot; for she covered her face, and he knew her not.
|

|
Уклони́ся же къ не́й путе́мъ и рече́ є́й: попусти́ ми вни́ти къ себѣ́. Не позна́ бо, я́ко невѣ́стка єму́ є́сть. Она́ же рече́: что́ ми да́си, а́ще вни́деши ко мнѣ́?
|
And he went out of his way to her, and said to her, Let me come in to thee; for he knew not that she was his daughter-in-law; and she said, What wilt thou give me if thou shouldest come in to me?
|

|
О́нъ же рече́: а́зъ тебѣ́ послю́ ко́злище ко́зъ от ове́цъ мои́хъ. Она́ же рече́: а́ще да́си ми́ зало́гъ, до́ндеже при́шлеши.
|
And he said, I will send thee a kid of the goats from my flock; and she said, Well, if thou wilt give me an earnest, until thou send it.
|

|
О́нъ же рече́: кі́й зало́гъ тебѣ́ да́мъ? Она́ же рече́: пе́рстень тво́й и гри́вну, и же́злъ и́же въ руцѣ́ твоє́й. И даде́ є́й, и вни́де къ не́й, и зача́ во утро́бѣ от него́.

And he said, What is the earnest that I shall give thee? and she said, Thy ring, and thy bracelet, and the staff in thy hand; and he gave them to her, and went in to her, and she conceived by him.
|

И воста́вши отъи́де, и све́рже ри́зу лѣ́тнюю съ себе́ и облече́ся въ ри́зы вдовства́ своєго́.
|
And she arose and departed, and took her veil from off her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.
|

|
Посла́ же Іу́да ко́злище от ко́зъ руко́ю па́стыря своєго́ Одолламі́тина взя́ти зало́гъ от жены́, и не обрѣ́те єя́.
|
And Judas sent the kid of the goats by the hand of his shepherd the Odollamite, to receive the pledge from the woman; and he found her not.
|

|
Вопроси́ же муже́й мѣ́ста того́ и рече́ и́мъ: гдѣ́ є́сть блудни́ца бы́вшая во Єна́нѣ на распу́тіи? И рѣ́ша: не бѣ́ здѣ́ блудни́ца.
|
And he asked the men of the place, Where is the harlot who was in Ænan by the way-side? and they said, There was no harlot here.
|

|
И возврати́ся ко Іу́дѣ и рече́: не обрѣто́хъ: и человѣ́цы мѣ́ста того́ глаго́лютъ: нѣ́сть здѣ́ блудни́цы.
|
And he returned to Judas, and said, I have not found her; and the men of the place say, There is no harlot here.
|

|
Рече́ же Іу́да: да и́мать та́: но да не когда́ посмѣю́тся на́мъ: а́зъ у́бо посла́хъ ко́злище сіє́, ты́ же не обрѣ́лъ єси́.
|
And Judas said, Let her have them, but let us not be ridiculed; I sent this kid, but thou hast not found her.
|

|
Бы́сть же по тре́хъ ме́сяцѣхъ, повѣ́даша Іу́дѣ, глаго́люще: соблуди́ Ѳама́рь невѣ́стка твоя́, и се́, во утро́бѣ и́мать от блуда́. Рече́ же Іу́да: изведи́те ю́, и да сожгу́тъ ю́.
|
And it came to pass after three months, that it was told Judas, saying, Thamar thy daughter-in-law has grievously played the harlot, and behold she is with child by whoredom; and Judas said, Bring her out, and let her be burnt.

|
Она́ же ведо́ма посла́ къ све́кру своєму́, глаго́лющи: от человѣ́ка, єго́же сія́ су́ть, а́зъ во утро́бѣ и́мамъ. И рече́: позна́й, чі́й пе́рстень и гри́вна и же́злъ се́й.
|
And as they were bringing her, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, I am with child by the man whose these things are; and she said, See whose is this ring and bracelet and staff.

|
Позна́ же Іу́да и рече́: оправда́ся Ѳама́рь па́че мене́, я́ко не да́хъ єя́ Сило́му сы́ну моєму́. И не приложи́ ктому́ позна́ти ю́.
|
And Judas knew them, and said, Thamar is cleared rather than I, forasmuch as I gave her not to Selom my son: and he knew her not again.
|

|
Бы́сть же єгда́ ражда́ше, и бѣ́ста близня́та во утро́бѣ єя́.
|
And it came to pass when she was in labour, that she also had twins in her womb.
|

|
Бы́сть же въ рожде́ніи єя́, єди́нъ произнесе́ ру́ку: взе́мши же ба́ба навяза́ на ру́ку єго́ че́рвлень, глаго́лющи: се́й изы́детъ пе́рвый.
|
And it came to pass as she was bringing forth, one thrust forth his hand, and the midwife having taken hold of it, bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This one shall come out first.

|
Єгда́ же вовлече́ ру́ку, и а́біє изы́де бра́тъ єго́. Она́ же рече́: что́ пресѣче́ся тебе́ ра́ди прегражде́ніє? И прозва́ и́мя єму́ Фаре́съ.
|
And when he drew back his hand, then immediately came forth his brother; and she said, Why has the barrier been cut through because of thee? and she called his name, Phares.

И посе́мъ изы́де бра́тъ єго́, єму́же бѣ́ на руцѣ́ єго́ че́рвлень: и прозва́ и́мя єму́ За́ра.
|
And after this came forth his brother, on whose hand was the scarlet thread; and she called his name, Zara.
|
