| И# глаг0ла саyлъ къ їwнаfaну сhну своемY и3 ко всBмъ nтрокHмъ свои6мъ, да ўмертвsтъ давjда. Їwнаfaнъ же сhнъ саyловъ любsше давjда ѕэлw2. | And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, to slay David. |

| И# возвэсти2 їwнаfaнъ давjду, глаг0лz: nтeцъ м0й саyлъ и4щетъ тS ўби1ти: сохрани1сz u5бо заyтра рaнw, и3 скрhйсz, и3 сsди втaйнэ: | And Jonathan, Saul's son, loved David much: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul seeks to kill thee: take heed to thyself therefore to-morrow morning, and hide thyself, and dwell in secret. |

| и3 ѓзъ и3зhду, и3 стaну при nтцЁ моeмъ на селЁ, и3дёже є3си2 ты2: и3 ѓзъ возглаг0лю nтцY моемY њ тебЁ, и3 ўзрю2, что2 бyдетъ, и3 возвэщY тебЁ. | And I will go forth, and stand near my father in the field where thou shalt be, and I will speak concerning thee to my father; and I will see what his answer may be, and I will tell thee. |

| И# глаг0ла їwнаfaнъ њ давjдэ благ†z къ саyлу nтцY своемY, и3 речE къ немY: да не согрэшaетъ цaрь на рабA своего2 давjда, ћкw не согрэши2 пред8 тоб0ю, и3 дэлA є3гw2 бл†га сyть ѕэлw2: | And Jonathan spoke favourably concerning David to Saul his father, and said to him, Let not the king sin against thy servant David, for he has not sinned against thee, and his deeds are very good. |

| и3 положи2 дyшу свою2 въ руцЁ своeй и3 побэди2 и3ноплемeнника, и3 сотвори2 гDь спcніе вели1ко всемY ї}лю, и3 вси2 ви1дэша и3 возрaдовашасz: и3 почто2 согрэшaеши въ кр0вь непови1нну, є4же ўби1ти давjда тyне; | And he put his life in his hand, and smote the Philistine, and the Lord wrought a great deliverance; and all Israel saw, and rejoiced: why then dost thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause? |

| И# послyша саyлъ глaса їwнаfaнz: и3 клsтсz саyлъ, глаг0лz: жи1въ гDь, ћкw не ќмретъ (давjдъ). | And Saul hearkened to the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore, saying, As the Lord lives, he shall not die. |

| И# призвA їwнаfaнъ давjда и3 возвэсти2 є3мY вс‰ глаг0лы сі‰, и3 введE їwнаfaнъ давjда къ саyлу, и3 бЁ пред8 ни1мъ ћкw вчерA и3 трeтіzгw днE. | And Jonathan called David, and told him all these words; and Jonathan brought David in to Saul, and he was before him as in former times. |

| И# приложи1сz брaнь бhти на саyла, и3 ўкрэпи1сz давjдъ, и3 побэди2 и3ноплемeнники, и3 и3зби2 ћзвою вели1кою ѕэлw2, и3 бэжaша t лицA є3гw2. | And there was again war against Saul; and David did valiantly, and fought against the Philistines, and smote them with a very great slaughter, and they fled from before him. |

| И# бhсть t бGа дyхъ лукaвый на саyлэ, и3 т0й въ домY своeмъ сэдsше, и3 копіE въ руцЁ є3гw2, давjдъ же и3грaше рукaми свои1ми: | And an evil spirit from God was upon Saul, and he was resting in his house, and a spear was in his hand, and David was playing on the harp with his hands. |

| и3 и3скaше саyлъ копіeмъ порази1ти давjда, и3 tступи2 давjдъ t лицA саyлz, и3 ўдaри саyлъ копіeмъ въ стёну: давjдъ же tшeдъ спасeсz въ н0щь тY. | And Saul sought to smite David with the spear; and David withdrew suddenly from the presence of Saul; and he drove the spear into the wall; and David retreated and escaped. |

| И# послA саyлъ вёстники въ д0мъ давjдовъ стрещи2 є3го2, є4же ўби1ти є3го2 рaнw. И# возвэсти2 давjду мелх0ла женA є3гw2, глаг0лющи: ѓще ты2 не спасeши души2 твоеS въ н0щь сію2, заyтра ќмреши. | And it came to pass in that night, that Saul sent messengers to the house of David to watch him, in order to slay him in the morning; and Melchol David's wife told him, saying, Unless thou save thy life this night, to-morrow thou shalt be slain. |

| И# свёси мелх0ла давjда nк0нцемъ, и3 tи1де, и3 ўбэжA, и3 спасeсz: | So Melchol lets David down by the window, and he departed, and fled, and escaped. |

| и3 пріsтъ мелх0ла тщепогреб†лнаz, и3 положи2 на nдрЁ, и3 пeчень к0зію положи2 на возглaвіи є3гw2, и3 покры2 | ри1зами. | And Melchol took images, and laid them on the bed, and she put the liver of a goat by his head, and covered them with clothes. |

| И# послA саyлъ вёстники, да и4мутъ давjда, и3 рек0ша, ћкw б0ленъ є4сть. | And Saul sent messengers to take David; and they say that he is sick. |

| И# послA саyлъ, да њглsдаютъ давjда, глаг0лz: принеси1те є3го2 на nдрЁ ко мнЁ, є4же ўмертви1ти є3го2. | And he sends to David, saying, Bring him to me on the bed, that I may slay him. |
|

| И# пріид0ша слуги6, и3 сE, тщепогреб†лнаz на nдрЁ и3 к0зіz пeчень при возглaвіи є3гw2. | And the messengers come, and, behold, the images were on the bed, and the goat's liver at his head. |

| И# речE саyлъ къ мелх0лэ: почто2 тaкw њбманyла мS є3си2, и3 tпусти1ла є3си2 врагA моего2, и3 гонзE менE; И# речE мелх0ла саyлу: сaмъ ми2 речE: tпусти1 мz: ѓще же ни2, погублю1 тz. | And Saul said to Melchol, Why hast thou thus deceived me, and suffered my enemy to depart, and he has escaped? and Melchol said to Saul, He said, Let me go, and if not, I will slay thee. |

| И# давjдъ ўбэжA и3 спасeсz, и3 и4де къ самуи1лу во ґрмаfeмъ и3 повёда є3мY вс‰, є3ли6ка сотвори2 є3мY саyлъ. И# и3д0ста давjдъ и3 самуи1лъ и3 сэд0ста въ наvafэ въ рaмэ. | So David fled, and escaped, and comes to Samuel to Armathaim, and tells him all that Saul had done to him: and Samuel and David went, and dwelt in Navath in Rama. |

| И# возвэсти1ша саyлу, глаг0люще: сE, давjдъ въ наvafэ въ рaмэ. | And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is in Navath in Rama. |

| И# послA слуги6 саyлъ ћти давjда, и3 ви1дэша соб0ръ прbр0кwвъ, и3 самуи1лъ стоsше настоsтель над8 ни1ми: и3 бhсть д¦ъ б9ій на слугaхъ саyлихъ, и3 начaша прорицaти. | And Saul sent messengers to take David, and they saw the assembly of the prophets, and Samuel stood as appointed over them; and the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they prophesy. |

| И# возвэсти1ша саyлу, и3 послA друг‡z слуги6, и3 прорицaти начaша и3 тjи. И# приложи2 саyлъ послaти слуги6 трє1тіz, и3 начaша и3 тjи прорицaти. | And it was told Saul, and he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied: and Saul sent again a third set of messengers, and they also prophesied. |

| И# разгнёвасz гнёвомъ саyлъ, и3 и4де и3 сaмъ во ґрмаfeмъ, и3 пріи1де дaже до клaдzзz гумнA, є4же є4сть въ сeфэ, и3 вопроси2 и3 речE: гдЁ є4сть самуи1лъ и3 давjдъ; И# рёша: сE, въ наvafэ въ рaмэ. | And Saul was very angry, and went himself also to Armathaim, and he comes as far as the well of the threshing-floor that is in Sephi; and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? and they said, Behold, in Navath in Rama. |

| И# и4де tтyду въ наvafъ (и4же) въ рaмэ: и3 бhсть и3 на нeмъ д¦ъ б9ій, и3 и3дsше и3дhй и3 прорицaz, д0ндеже пріити2 є3мY въ наvafъ и4же въ рaмэ. | And he went thence to Navath in Rama: and there came the Spirit of God upon him also, and he went on prophesying till he came to Navath in Rama. |

| И# совлечE ри6зы сво‰ и3 прорицaше пред8 ни1ми: и3 падE нaгъ вeсь дeнь т0й и3 всю2 н0щь. Тогw2 рaди глаг0лаху: є3дA и3 саyлъ во прор0цэхъ; | And he took off his clothes, and prophesied before them; and lay down naked all that day and all that night: therefore they said, Is Saul also among the prophets? |
