3
и3 послA давjдъ, и3 взыскA женY, и3 речE: не сіs ли вирсавjа дщeрь є3ліaвлz, женA ўрjи хеттeанина; And David sent and enquired about the woman: and one said, Is not this Bersabee the daughter of Eliab, the wife of Urias the Chettite?
4
4
И# послA давjдъ слуги6, и3 взS ю5, и3 вни1де къ нeй, и3 преспA съ нeю: и3 тA бЁ њчи1стиласz t нечистоты2 своеS, и3 возврати1сz въ д0мъ св0й. And David sent messengers, and took her, and went in to her, and he lay with her: and she was purified from her uncleanness, and returned to her house.
5
5
И# зачaтъ женA во чрeвэ: и3 послaвши возвэсти2 давjду и3 речE: сE, ѓзъ є4смь во чрeвэ и3мyщаz. And the woman conceived; and she sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
6
6
And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Urias the Chettite; and Joab sent Urias to David.

8
8
And David said to Urias, Go to thy house, and wash thy feet: and Urias departed from the house of the king, and a portion of meat from the king followed him.

And David said to Urias, Art thou not come from a journey? why hast thou not gone down to thy house?
11
11
И# речE ўрjа къ давjду: ківHтъ б9ій и3 ї}ль и3 їyда пребывaютъ въ кyщахъ, и3 господи1нъ м0й їwaвъ и3 раби2 господи1на моегw2 на лицы2 сeлъ пребывaютъ, ѓзъ же вни1ду ли въ д0мъ м0й ћсти и3 пи1ти и3 спaти съ жен0ю моeю; кaкw; живA душA твоS, ѓще сотворю2 глаг0лъ сeй. And Urias said to David, The ark, and Israel, and Juda dwell in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; and shall I go into my house to eat and drink, and lie with my wife? how should I do this? as thy soul lives, I will not do this thing.
12
12
And David said to Urias, Remain here to-day also, and to-morrow I will let thee go. So Urias remained in Jerusalem that day and the day following.

14
14
И# бhсть ќтро, и3 написA давjдъ писaніе ко їwaву, и3 послA рук0ю ўрjиною. And the morning came, and David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Urias.

16
16
И# бhсть є3гдA стрежaше їwaвъ ў грaда, и3 постaви ўрjю на мёстэ, и3дёже вёдzше, ћкw мyжіе си1льни тaмw. And it came to pass while Joab was watching against the city, that he set Urias in a place where he knew that valiant men were.

18
18
И# послA їwaвъ, и3 возвэсти2 давjду вс‰ словесA, ±же њ брaни, глаг0лати къ царю2. And Joab sent, and reported to David all the events of the war, so as to tell them to the king.

19
И# заповёда (їwaвъ) послY, глаг0лz: є3гдA скончaеши вс‰ рBчи, ±же t брaни, къ царю2 глаг0лати, And he charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast finished reporting all the events of the war to the king,
20
20
и3 бyдетъ ѓще разгнёваетсz цaрь и3 речeтъ ти2: почто2 прибли1жистесz ко грaду на брaнь; не вёдасте ли, ћкw стрэлsти бyдутъ съ стэны2; then it shall come to pass if the anger of the king shall arise, and he shall say to thee, Why did ye draw nigh to the city to fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from off the wall?
21
21
кто2 ўби2 ґвімелeха сhна їероваaлz сhна ни1рова; не женa ли вeрже нaнь ўл0мкомъ жeрнова съ стэны2, (и3 ўрази2 є3го2,) и3 ќмре въ fамaсэ; почто2 приступaсте къ стэнЁ; и3 речeши: и3 рaбъ тв0й ўрjа хеттeанинъ (ўбіeнъ бhсть, и3) ќмре. Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerobaal son of Ner? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from above the wall, and he died in Thamasi? why did ye draw near to the wall? then thou shalt say, Thy servant Urias the Chettite is also dead.
22
22
And David was very angry with Joab, and said to the messenger, Why did ye draw nigh to the wall to fight? knew ye not that ye would be wounded from off the wall? Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerobaal? did not a woman cast upon him a piece of millstone from the wall, and he died in Thamasi? why did ye draw near to the wall?
23
23
And the messenger said to David, The men prevailed against us, and they came out against us into the field, and we came upon them even to the door of the gate.
24
24
And the archers shot at thy servants from off the wall, and some of the king's servants died, and thy servant Urias the Chettite is dead also.
25
25
И# речE давjдъ къ послY: си1це да речeши ко їwaву: да не бyдетъ ѕло2 пред8 nчи1ма твои1ма сл0во сіE, ћкw nвогдA ќбw си1це, nвогдa же и3нaкw поzдaетъ мeчь: ўкрэпи2 брaнь твою2 на грaдъ, и3 раскопaй и5: и3 ўкрэпи2 є3го2. And David said to the messenger, Thus shalt thou say to Joab, Let not the matter be grievous in thine eyes, for the sword devours one way at one time and another way at another: strengthen thine array against the city, and destroy it, and strengthen him.
26
26
И# ўслhша женA ўрjина, ћкw ќмре ўрjа мyжъ є3S, и3 рыдaше по мyжи своeмъ. And the wife of Urias heard that Urias her husband was dead, and she mourned for her husband.
