| And it came to pass about a month after this, that Naas the Ammanite went up, and encamped against Jabis Galaad: and all the men of Jabis said to Naas the Ammanite, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee. | И# бhсть ѓки по мцcэ, и3 взhде наaсъ ґманjтzнинъ, и3 њполчи1сz на їавjсъ галаaдскій. И# рёша вси2 мyжіе їавjсстіи къ наaсу ґманjтzнину: положи2 нaмъ завётъ, и3 пораб0таемъ ти2. |

| And Naas the Ammanite said to them, On these terms will I make a covenant with you, that I should put out all your right eyes, and I will lay a reproach upon Israel. | И# речE къ ни6мъ наaсъ ґманjтzнинъ: сeй завётъ положY вaмъ, и3зверчY комyждо вaсъ џко десн0е, и3 положY поношeніе на ї}лz. |

| And the men of Jabis say to him, Allow us seven days, and we will send messengers into all the coasts of Israel: if there should be no one to deliver us, we will come out to you. | И# рёша є3мY мyжіе їавjса галаaдскагw: њстaви нaмъ сeдмь днjй, да п0слемъ вёстники во вс‰ предёлы ї}лєвы: и3 ѓще не бyдетъ спасaющагw нaсъ, и3зhдемъ къ вaмъ. |

| And the messengers came to Gabaa to Saul, and they speak the words into the ears of the people; and all the people lifted up their voice, and wept. | И# пріид0ша вBстницы въ гаваю2 къ саyлу и3 повёдаша словесA сі‰ во ќшы людjй: и3 воздвиг0ша вси2 лю1діе глaсъ св0й и3 плaкашасz. |

| And, behold, Saul came after the early morning out of the field: and Saul said, Why does the people weep? and they tell him the words of the men of Jabis. | И# сE, саyлъ пріи1де по заyтріи t селA, и3 речE саyлъ: что2 ћкw плaчутъ лю1діе; И# повёдаша є3мY глаг0лы мужeй їавjсскихъ. |

| And the Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul when he heard these words, and his anger was greatly kindled against them. | И# сни1де д¦ъ гDень на саyла, є3гдA ўслhша словесA сі‰, и3 разгнёвасz на ни1хъ ѕэлw2: |

| And he took two cows, and cut them in pieces, and sent them into all the coasts of Israel by the hand of messengers, saying, Whoso comes not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall they do to his oxen: and a transport from the Lord came upon the people of Israel, and they came out to battle as one man. | и3 взS двЁ кр†вы, и3 раздроби2 | на ќды, и3 послA во вс‰ предёлы ї}лєвы рукaми вёстникwвъ, глаг0лz: и4же не бyдетъ и3дhй в8слёдъ саyла и3 в8слёдъ самуи1ла, по семY сотворsтъ говsдwмъ є3гw2. И# сни1де ќжасъ гDень на ї}лтzнъ, и3 и3зыд0ша ћкw є3ди1нъ мyжъ. |

| And he reviews them at Bezec in Bama, every man of Israel six hundred thousand, and the men of Juda seventy thousand. | И# сочтE и5хъ въ везeцэ, въ вaмэ, и3 бhсть всёхъ мужeй ї}лтескихъ шeсть сHтъ тhсzщъ, и3 мужeй їyдиныхъ сeдмьдесzтъ тhсzщъ. |

| And he said to the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say to the men of Jabis, To-morrow ye shall have deliverance when the sun is hot; and the messengers came to the city, and told the men of Jabis, and they rejoiced. | И# речE вёстникwмъ пришeдшымъ: сі‰ повёдите мужє1мъ їавjса галаaдскагw: заyтра бyдетъ вaмъ спасeніе восходsщу с0лнцу. И# пріид0ша вBстницы во грaдъ и3 возвэсти1ша мужє1мъ їав‡сскимъ: и3 возрaдовашасz, |

| And the men of Jabis said to Naas the Ammanite, To-morrow we will come forth to you, and ye shall do to us what seems good in your sight. | и3 рёша мyжіе їавjсстіи къ наaсу ґманjтzнину: ќтрw и3зhдемъ къ вaмъ, и3 сотвори1те нaмъ, є4же блaго пред8 nчи1ма вaшима. |

| And it came to pass on the morrow, that Saul divided the people into three companies, and they go into the midst of the camp in the morning watch, and they smote the children of Ammon until the day was hot; and it came to pass that those who were left were scattered, and there were not left among them two together. | И# бhсть по заyтріи, и3 саyлъ раздэли2 лю1ди на три2 нач†ла: и3 внид0ша посредЁ полкA въ стрaжу ќтреннюю, и3 біsху сынHвъ ґммwнjтскихъ, д0ндеже разогрёсz дeнь: и3 бhсть, и3 њстaвшіисz разбэг0шасz, и3 не њстaшасz ни двA t ни1хъ вкyпэ. |

| And the people said to Samuel, Who has said that Saul shall not reign over us? Give up the men, and we will put them to death. | И# рёша лю1діе къ самуи1лу: кто2 є4сть рекjй, ћкw да саyлъ не воцари1тсz над8 нaми; предaждь мужeй, и3 и3збіeмъ и5хъ. |

| And Saul said, No man shall die this day, for to-day the Lord has wrought deliverance in Israel. | И# речE саyлъ: да не ќмретъ ни є3ди1нъ въ днeшній дeнь, ћкw днeсь сотвори2 гDь спcніе во ї}ли. |

| And Samuel spoke to the people, saying, Let us go to Galgala, and there renew the kingdom. | И# речE самуи1лъ къ лю1демъ, глаг0лz: пріиди1те да и4демъ въ галгaлы и3 њбнови1мъ тaмw цaрство. |
|

| And all the people went to Galgala, and Samuel anointed Saul there to be king before the Lord in Galgala, and there he offered meat-offerings and peace-offerings before the Lord: and Samuel and all Israel rejoiced exceedingly. | И# и3д0ша вси2 лю1діе въ галгaлы, и3 помaза тaмw самуи1лъ саyла на цaрство пред8 гDемъ въ галгaлэхъ. И# пожр0ша тaмw жє1ртвы и3 ми6рнаz пред8 гDемъ, и3 возвесели1сz тaмw саyлъ и3 вси2 мyжіе ї}лєвы ѕэлw2. |
