Chapter 27	Глава 27

Joatham was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Jerusa, daughter of Sadoc.	Двадцяти п’яти років був Іоафам, коли став царем, і шістнадцять років царював у Єрусалимі; ім’я матері його Ієруша, дочка Садока.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Ozias did: but he went not into the temple of the Lord. And still the people corrupted themselves.	І робив він угодне в очах Господніх точно так, як робив Озія, батько його, тільки він не входив у храм Господній, і народ продовжував ще грішити.

He built the high gate of the house of the Lord, and he built much in the wall of Opel.	Він побудував верхні ворота дому Господнього, і багато чого побудував на стіні Офела;

In the mountain of Juda, and in the woods, he built both dwelling-places and towers.	і міста побудував на горі Юдейській, і в лісах побудував палаци і вежі.

He fought against the king of the children of Ammon, and prevailed against him: and the children of Ammon gave him even annually a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. These the king of the children of Ammon brought to him annually in the first and second and third years.	Він воював з царем аммонитян і подолав їх, і дали йому аммонитяни в той рік сто талантів срібла і десять тисяч ко́рів пшениці і ячменю десять тисяч. Це давали йому аммонитяни і на другий рік, і на третій.

Joatham grew strong, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.	Таким сильним був Іоафам тому, що йшов путями своїми перед лицем Господа Бога свого.

And the rest of the acts of Joatham, and his war, and his deeds, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Juda and Israel.	Інші діяння Іоафама і всі війни його і поведінка його описані в книзі царів ізраїльських та юдейських:

And Joatham slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David: and Achaz his son reigned in his stead.	І спочив Іоафам з батьками своїми, і поховали його в місті Давидовому. І став царем Ахаз, син його, замість нього.
