And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he was wasting his goods.
|
(Зач. 80) Глаго́лаше же ко ученико́м Свої́м: челові́к ні́кий бі бога́т, і́же ім'я́ше приста́вника; і той оклевета́н бисть к нему́, я́ко расточа́єть імі́нія єго́.
|

|
And he called him, and said unto him, What is this that I hear of thee? render the account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.
|
І пригласи́в єго́ рече́ єму́: что се сли́шу о тебі́? Возда́ждь отві́т о приставле́нії домо́внім; не возмо́жеши бо ктому́ до́му стро́їти.
|

|
And the steward said within himself, What shall I do, seeing that my lord taketh away the stewardship from me? I have not strength to dig; to beg I am ashamed.
|
Рече́ же в себі́ приста́вник до́му: что сотворю́, я́ко госпо́дь мо́й оте́млеть строє́ніє до́му от мене́? Копа́ти не могу́, проси́ти стижу́ся:

|
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
|
разумі́х, что сотворю́, да єгда́ отста́влен бу́ду от строє́нія до́му, при́ймуть м'я в до́ми своя́.
|

|
And calling to him each one of his lord’s debtors, he said to the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
|
І призва́в єди́наго кого́ждо от должни́к господи́на своєго́, глаго́лаше пе́рвому: коли́цім до́лжен єси́ господи́ну моєму́?
|

|
And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly and write fifty.
|
Он же рече́: сто мір [вать, т. є. мір] ма́сла. І рече́ єму́: прийми́ писа́ніє твоє́ і сід ско́ро напиши́ п'ятьдеся́т.

|
Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. And he saith unto him, Take thy bond, and write fourscore.
|
Пото́м же рече́ друго́му: ти же коли́цім до́лжен єси́? Он же рече́: сто мір пшени́ці. І глаго́ла єму́: прийми́ писа́ніє твоє́ і напиши́ о́сьмдесят.
|

|
And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.
|
І похвали́ госпо́дь до́му строї́теля непра́веднаго, я́ко му́дрі сотвори́; я́ко си́нове ві́ка сего́ мудрі́йші па́че сино́в сві́та в ро́ді своє́м суть.

|
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles.
|
І Аз вам глаго́лю: сотворі́те себі́ дру́ги от мамо́ни непра́вди, да, єгда́ оскуді́єте, при́ймуть ви в ві́чния кро́ви.

|
He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.
|
(Зач. 81) Ві́рний в ма́лі і во мно́зі ві́рен єсть; і непра́ведний в ма́лі і во мно́зі непра́веден єсть.

|
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
|
А́ще у́бо в непра́веднім імі́нії ві́рні не би́сте, во і́стиннім кто вам ві́ру і́меть?
|
|

|
|
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
|
І а́ще в чуже́м ві́рні не би́сте, ва́ше кто вам да́сть?
|
|

|
|
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
|
Ніки́й же раб мо́жеть двіма́ господи́нома рабо́тати, і́бо іли́ єди́наго возненави́дить, а друга́го возлю́бить, іли́ єди́наго держи́ться, о друзі́м же нераді́ти на́чнеть; не мо́жете Бо́гу рабо́тати і мамо́ні.

|
And the Pharisees also, who were lovers of money, heard all these things; and they scoffed at him.
|
Сли́шаху же сія́ вся і фарисе́є, сребролю́бці су́ще, руга́хуся Єму́.
|

|
And he said unto them, Ye are they that justify yourselves in the sight of men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
|
І рече́ їм: (Зач. 82) ви єсте́ оправда́юще себе́ пред челові́ки, Бог же вість сердця́ ва́ша, я́ко, є́же єсть в челові́ціх високо́, ме́рзость єсть пред Бо́гом.

|
The law and the prophets were until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.
|
Зако́н і проро́ци до Іоа́нна; отто́лі Ца́рствіє Бо́жиє благовіству́ється, і всяк в не ну́диться [с ну́ждею вхо́дить].

|
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the law to fall.
|
Удо́біє же єсть не́бу і землі́ прейти́, не́же от зако́на єди́ной черті́ поги́бнути.
|
|

|
|
Everyone that putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and everyone that marrieth one that is put away from a husband committeth adultery.
|
Всяк пуща́яй жену́ свою́ і приводя́ і́ну, прелю́би ді́єть; і женя́йся пуще́ною от му́жа, прелюби́ твори́ть.

|
Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day:
|
(Зач. 83) Челові́к же ні́кий бі бога́т, і облача́шеся в порфи́ру і ви́ссон, веселя́ся на вся дні сві́тло.
|

|
|
and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores,
|
Нищ же бі ні́кто, і́менем Ла́зар, і́же лежа́ше пред врати́ єго́ гно́єн
|
|

|
|
and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table; yea, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
|
і жела́ше наси́титися от крупи́ць па́дающих от трапе́зи бога́таго, но і пси приходя́ще облиза́ху гной єго́.
|
|

|
|
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: and the rich man also died, and was buried.
|
Бисть же умре́ти ни́щему і несе́ну би́ти а́нгели на ло́но Авраа́мле; у́мре же і бога́тий, і погребо́ша єго́.

|
And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
|
І во а́ді возві́д о́чі свої́, сий в му́ках, узрі́ Авраа́ма іздале́ча, і Ла́заря на ло́ні єго́;
|

|
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.
|
і той возгла́ш рече́: о́тче Авраа́ме, поми́луй м'я і посли́ Ла́заря, да омо́чить коне́ць пе́рста своєго́ в воді́ і устуди́ть язи́к мо́й, я́ко стра́жду во пла́мені сем.

|
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted, and thou art in anguish.
|
Рече́ же Авраа́м: ча́до, пом'яни́, я́ко восприя́л єси́ блага́я твоя́ в животі́ твоє́м, і Ла́зар та́кожде зла́я; ни́ні же зді́ утіша́ється, ти же стра́ждеши;

|
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that they that would pass from hence to you may not be able; nor may they cross over from thence to us.
|
і над всі́ми си́ми между́ на́ми і ва́ми про́пасть вели́ка утверди́ся, я́ко да хотя́щії прейти́ отсю́ду к вам не возмо́гуть, ні і́же отту́ду, к нам прехо́дять.
|

|
And he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house;
|
Рече́ же: молю́ тя у́бо, о́тче, да по́слеши єго́ в дом отця́ моєго́;
|
|

|

|
|
for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
|
і́мам бо п'ять бра́тій, я́ко да засвиді́тельствуєть їм, да не і ті́ї при́йдуть на мі́сто сіє́ муче́нія.
|

|
|
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
|
Глаго́ла єму́ Авраа́м: і́муть Моїсе́я і проро́ки; да послу́шають їх.
|
|

|

|
|
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.
|
Он же рече́: ні, о́тче Авраа́ме! Но а́ще кто от ме́ртвих і́деть к ним, пока́ються.
|
|

|

|
|
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
|
Рече́ же єму́: а́ще Моїсе́я і проро́ков не послу́шають, і а́ще кто от ме́ртвих воскре́снеть, не і́муть ві́ри.
