|
| Let every soul be in subjection to the higher powers: for there is no power but of God; and the powers that be are ordained of God. | (Заⷱ҇ р҃а҃і҃.) Всѧ́ка дꙋша̀ власте́мъ предержа́щымъ да повинꙋ́етсѧ: нѣ́сть бо вла́сть а҆́ще не ѿ бг҃а, сꙋ́щыѧ же вла̑сти ѿ бг҃а оу҆чине́ны сꙋ́ть. |

| Therefore he that resisteth the power, withstandeth the ordinance of God: and they that withstand shall receive to themselves judgment. | Тѣ́мже противлѧ́ѧйсѧ вла́сти, бж҃їю повелѣ́нїю противлѧ́етсѧ: противлѧ́ющїисѧ же себѣ̀ грѣ́хъ прїе́млютъ. |

| For rulers are not a terror to the good works, but to the evil. And wouldest thou have no fear of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise from the same: | Кнѧ̑зи бо не сꙋ́ть боѧ́знь дѡ́брымъ дѣлѡ́мъ, но ѕлы̑мъ. Хо́щеши же ли не боѧ́тисѧ вла́сти; Бл҃го́е творѝ, и҆ и҆мѣ́ти бꙋ́деши похвалꙋ̀ ѿ негѡ̀: |

| for he is a minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him that doeth evil. | бж҃їй бо слꙋ́га є҆́сть, тебѣ̀ во бл҃го́е. А҆́ще ли ѕло́е твори́ши, бо́йсѧ, не бо̀ без̾ оу҆ма̀ [всꙋ́е] ме́чь но́ситъ: бж҃їй бо слꙋга̀ є҆́сть, ѿмсти́тель въ гнѣ́въ ѕло́е творѧ́щемꙋ. |

| Wherefore ye must needs be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience’ sake. | Тѣ́мже потре́ба повинова́тисѧ не то́кмѡ за гнѣ́въ, но и҆ за со́вѣсть. |
|

| For for this cause ye pay tribute also; for they are ministers of God’s service, attending continually upon this very thing. | Сегѡ̀ бо̀ ра́ди и҆ да̑ни даетѐ: слꙋжи́тєли бо бж҃їи сꙋ́ть, во и҆́стое сїѐ пребыва́юще. |

| Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. | Воздади́те оу҆̀бо всѣ̑мъ дѡ́лжнаѧ: є҆мꙋ́же оу҆́бѡ оу҆ро́къ, оу҆ро́къ: (а҆) є҆мꙋ́же да́нь, да́нь: (а҆) є҆мꙋ́же стра́хъ, стра́хъ: (и҆) є҆мꙋ́же че́сть, че́сть. |

| Owe no man anything, save to love one another: for he that loveth his neighbor hath fulfilled the law. | Ни є҆ди́номꙋ же ничи́мже до́лжни быва́йте, то́чїю є҆́же люби́ти дрꙋ́гъ дрꙋ́га: любѧ́й бо дрꙋ́га, зако́нъ и҆спо́лни. |

| For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this word, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. | Є҆́же бо: не прелюбы̀ сотвори́ши, не оу҆бїе́ши, не оу҆кра́деши, не лжесвидѣ́телствꙋеши, не похо́щеши, и҆ а҆́ще ка́ѧ и҆́на за́повѣдь, въ се́мъ словесѝ соверша́етсѧ, во є҆́же: возлю́биши и҆́скреннѧго твоего̀, ꙗ҆́коже са́мъ себѐ. |

| Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: love therefore is the fulfillment of the law. | Любы̀ и҆́скреннемꙋ ѕла̀ не твори́тъ: и҆сполне́нїе оу҆̀бо зако́на любы̀ є҆́сть. |

| And this, knowing the season, that already it is time for us to awake out of sleep: for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed. | И҆ сїѐ, вѣ́дѧще вре́мѧ, ꙗ҆́кѡ ча́съ оу҆жѐ на́мъ ѿ сна̀ воста́ти. (Заⷱ҇ р҃в҃і҃.) Нн҃ѣ бо ближа́йшее на́мъ спⷭ҇нїе, не́жели є҆гда̀ вѣ́ровахомъ. |

| The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. | Но́щь (оу҆́бѡ) пре́йде, а҆ де́нь прибли́жисѧ: ѿложи́мъ оу҆̀бо дѣла̀ тє́мнаѧ, и҆ ѡ҆блече́мсѧ во ѻ҆рꙋ́жїе свѣ́та. |

| Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy. | Ꙗ҆́кѡ во днѝ, благоѡбра́знѡ да хо́димъ, не козлогласова̑нїи и҆ пїѧ́нствы, не любодѣѧ̑нїи и҆ стꙋдодѣѧ̑нїи, не рве́нїемъ и҆ за́вистїю: |

| But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. | но ѡ҆блецы́тесѧ гдⷭ҇емъ на́шимъ і҆и҃съ хрⷭ҇то́мъ, и҆ пло́ти оу҆го́дїѧ не твори́те въ по́хѡти. |
