| И# бhсть, є3гдA глаг0лаше лeвъ словесA сі‰ ко nрлY, и3 ви1дэхъ: | And it came to pass, while the lion spake these words unto the eagle, I beheld, |

| и3 сE, ћже њстA главA, и3 не kви1шасz четhри кри1ла w4наz, ±же къ немY преид0ша и3 воздвиг0шасz да цaрствуютъ, и3 бsше цaрство и4хъ скyдно и3 молвы2 п0лно. | and, lo, the head that remained appeared no more, and the two wings which went over unto it arose and set themselves up to reign, and their kingdom was small, and full of uproar. |
3
3
| И# ви1дэхъ, и3 сE, т† не kвлsхусz, и3 всE тёло џрлее возжигaшесz, и3 ўстраши1сz землS ѕэлw2, и3 ѓзъ t молвы2 и3 ќжаса ўмA и3 t вели1ка стрaха воспрzнyхъ и3 рёхъ дyху моемY: | And I beheld, and, lo, they appeared no more, and the whole body of the eagle was burnt, so that the earth was in great fear: then awoke I by reason of great ecstasy of mind, and from great fear, and said unto my spirit, |
4
4
| сE, ты2 п0далъ є3си2 мнЁ то2 въ т0мъ, ћкw и3спытyеши пути6 вhшнzгw: | Lo, this hast thou done unto me, in that thou searchest out the ways of the Most High. |
5
5
S: | Lo, I am yet weary in my mind, and very weak in my spirit; nor is there the least strength in me, for the great fear wherewith I was affrighted this night. |
6
6
A. | Therefore will I now beseech the Most High, that he will strengthen me unto the end. |
7
7
| И# рек0хъ: вLко гDи, ѓще њбрэт0хъ благодaть пред8 nчи1ма твои1ма, и3 ѓще њправдaнъ є4смь пред8 тоб0ю пaче мн0гихъ, и3 ѓще и4стиннw взhде молeніе моE пред8 лицeмъ твои1мъ, | And I said, O Lord that bearest rule, if I have found favor in thy sight, and if I am justified with thee above many others, and if my prayer indeed be come up before thy face; |
8
8
2: | strengthen me then, and show me thy servant the interpretation and plain meaning of this fearful vision, that thou mayest perfectly comfort my soul. |
9
9
И# речE ко мнЁ: | For thou hast judged me worthy to show me the end of time and the last times. |
10
10
| сіE є4сть толковaніе видёніz сегw2: | And he said unto me, This is the interpretation of this vision which thou sawest: |
11
11
| nрлA є3г0же ви1дэлъ є3си2 восходsща t м0рz, то2 є4сть цaрство, є4же ви1дэно бhсть въ видёніи даніи1ла брaта твоегw2, | The eagle, whom thou sawest come up from the sea, is the fourth kingdom which appeared in vision to thy brother Daniel. |
12
12
| But it was not expounded unto him, as I now expound it unto thee or have expounded it. |
13
13
| СE, днjе грzдyтъ, и3 востaнетъ цaрство на земли2, и3 бyдетъ боsзнь вsщшаz всBмъ цaрствwмъ, ±же бhша прeжде є3гw2: | Behold, the days come, that there shall rise up a kingdom upon earth, and it shall be feared above all the kingdoms that were before it. |
14
14
| цaрствовати же бyдутъ на нeй цaріе дванaдесzть, є3ди1нъ по є3ди1ному, | In the same shall twelve kings reign, one after another: |
15
15
| и4бо вторhй начнeтъ цaрствовати, и3 т0й њдeржитъ вsщшее врeмz пaче дванaдесzти: | whereof the second shall begin to reign, and shall have a longer time than any of the twelve. |
16
16
2. | This is the interpretation of the twelve wings, which thou sawest. |
17
17
| И# є3гHже слhшалъ є3си2 глaсъ, и4же глаг0лаше, не t глaвъ є3гw2 и3сходsщь, но t среди1ны тёла є3гw2, | And whereas thou heardest a voice which spake, not going out from the heads, but from the midst of the body thereof, this is the interpretation: |
18
18
| сіE є4сть толковaніе: ћкw п0слэ врeмене цaрства тогw2 родsтсz рвє1ніz не м†ла, и3 бёдствовати и4мать, ћкw да падeтъ, и3 не падeтъ тогдA, но пaки возстaвитсz въ своE начaло: | That after the time of that kingdom there shall arise no small contentions, and it shall stand in peril of falling: nevertheless it shall not then fall, but shall be restored again to its first estate. |
19
19
| ґ ±же ви1дэлъ є3си2 подкри1лєцъ џсмь прилэплsющихсz кри1ламъ є3гw2, | And whereas thou sawest the eight under wings sticking to her wings, this is the interpretation: |
20
20
| сіE є4сть толковaніе: востaнутъ въ т0мъ џсмь царeй, и4хже бyдутъ временA лє1гка и3 лBта скHраz, и3 двA ќбw t ни1хъ поги1бнутъ: | That in it there shall arise eight kings, whose times shall be but small, and their years swift. |
21
21
| приближaющусz же врeмени срeднему, четhри сохранsтсz во врeмz, є3гдA начнeтъ приближaтисz врeмz є3гw2 да скончaетсz, дв0е же на конeцъ сохранsтсz. | And two of them shall perish, when the middle time approacheth: four shall be kept for a while until the time of the ending thereof shall approach: but two shall be kept unto the end. |
22
22
| Ґ ћкw ви1дэлъ є3си2 три2 главы6 пок0zщыzсz, | And whereas thou sawest three heads resting, this is the interpretation: |
23
23
| сіE є4сть толковaніе: въ послBднzz є3гw2 воздви1гнетъ вhшній три2 ц†рства и3 призовeтъ въ нS мн0гихъ, и3 поwбладaютъ землeю: | In the last days thereof shall the Most High raise up three kingdoms, and renew many things therein, and they shall bear rule over the earth, |
24
24
| и3 и5же њбитaютъ на нeй, съ труд0мъ мн0гимъ на всёхъ, и5же бhша прeжде си1хъ, сегw2 рaди тjи назвaни сyть главы6 w4рли: | and over those that dwell therein, with much oppression, above all those that were before them: therefore are they called the heads of the eagle. |
25
25
| For these are they that shall accomplish her wickedness, and that shall finish her last end. |
26
26
| Ґ ћкw ви1дэлъ є3си2 главY болшyю неzвлsющуюсz, сіE є4сть толковaніе є3S: ћкw є3ди1нъ t ни1хъ на nдрЁ своeмъ ќмретъ, но nбaче съ мучeніемъ, | And whereas thou sawest that the great head appeared no more, it signifieth that one of them shall die upon his bed, and yet with pain. |
27
27
| и4бо двA, и5же пребyдутъ, мeчь и5хъ поsстъ: | But for the two that remained, the sword shall devour them. |
28
28
| For the sword of the one shall devour him that was with him: but he also shall fall by the sword in the last days. |
29
29
Y, | And whereas thou sawest two under wings passing over unto the head that is on the right side, |
30
30
| сіE є4сть толковaніе: сjи сyть, и5хже соблюдE вhшній въ конeцъ св0й, то2 є4сть цaрство скyдное и3 скорбeй п0лно. | this is the interpretation: These are they, whom the Most High hath kept unto his end: this is the small kingdom and full of trouble, as thou sawest. |
31
31
2: | And the lion, whom thou sawest rising up out of the wood, and roaring, and speaking to the eagle, and rebuking her for her unrighteousness, and all her words which thou hast heard; |
32
32
| сeй є4сть вётръ, є3г0же сохрани1лъ вhшній на конeцъ на ни1хъ и3 на нечє1стіz и4хъ, и3 њбличи1тъ тёхъ и3 њб8zви1тъ пред8 тёми прeлєсти и4хъ, | this is the anointed one, whom the Most High hath kept unto the end of days, who shall spring up out of the seed of David, and he shall come and speak unto them and reprove them for their wickedness and unrighteousness, and shall heap up before them their contemptuous dealings. |
33
33
| постaвитъ бо и5хъ на судЁ живhхъ: и3 бyдетъ, є3гдA њбличи1тъ и5хъ, тогдA накaжетъ и5хъ: | For at the first he shall set them alive in his judgment, and when he hath reproved them, he shall destroy them. |
34
34
| и4бо њстaнокъ людjй мои1хъ и3збaвитъ съ бёдностію, и5же сохранeни сyть на концaхъ мои1хъ, и3 ўблажи1тъ и5хъ, д0ндеже пріи1детъ конeцъ дeнь судA, њ нeмже гlахъ тебЁ t начaла. | For the rest of my people shall he deliver with mercy, those that have been preserved throughout my borders, and he shall make them joyful until the coming of the end, even the day of judgment, whereof I have spoken unto thee from the beginning. |
35
35
| This is the dream that thou sawest, and this is the interpretation thereof: |
36
36
| Ты2 u5бо є3ди1нъ дост0инъ бhлъ є3си2 знaти тaйну сію2 вhшнzгw: | and thou only hast been meet to know the secret of the Most High. |
37
37
| напиши2 ќбw вс‰ сі‰ въ кни1гу, ±же ви1дэлъ є3си2, и3 положи2 | въ мёстэ сохрaннэ, | Therefore write all these things that thou hast seen in a book, and put them in a secret place: |
38
38
| и3 научи1ши си6мъ м{дрыz t людjй твои1хъ, и4хже сердцA вёси, ћкw м0гутъ пріsти и3 храни1ти т†йны сі‰: | and thou shalt teach them to the wise of thy people, whose hearts thou knowest are able to comprehend and keep these secrets. |
39
39
2. | But wait thou here thyself yet seven days more, that there may be shown unto thee whatsoever it pleaseth the Most High to show thee. And he departed from me. |
40
40
| И# бhсть, є3гдA ўслhша вeсь нар0дъ, ћкw проид0ша сeдмь днjй, и3 ѓзъ не возврати1хсz во грaдъ, и3 собрaшасz вси2 t мeншагw дaже до б0лшагw, и3 пріид0ша ко мнЁ и3 рек0ша ми2, глаг0люще: | And it came to pass, when all the people saw that the seven days were past, and I had not come again into the city, they gathered them all together, from the least unto the greatest, and came unto me, and spake to me, saying, |
41
41
| что2 согрэши1ли є3смы2 тебЁ и3 что2 непрaво содёzхомъ на тS, ћкw њставлszй нaсъ сёлъ є3си2 на мёстэ т0мъ; | What have we offended thee? and what evil have we done against thee, that thou hast utterly forsaken us, and sittest in this place? |
42
42
| тh бо нaмъ њстaлсz є3си2 є3ди1нъ t всёхъ людjй, ћкоже гр0здъ t віногрaда и3 ћкw свэти1лникъ въ мёстэ мрaчнэ и3 ћкw пристaнище и3 корaбль спасeный t бyри: | For of all the prophets thou only art left us, as a cluster of the vintage, and as a lamp in a dark place, and as a haven for a ship saved from the tempest. |
43
43
| и3ли2 недовHлна нaмъ сyть ѕл†z, ±же приключaютсz; | Are not the evils which are come to us sufficient? |
44
44
| ѓще u5бо ты2 нaсъ њстaвиши, к0ль лyчше бы нaмъ бhло, ѓще бhхомъ сожжeни бhли и3 мы2 съ сожжeніемъ сіHна; | If thou shalt forsake us, how much better had it been for us, if we also had been consumed in the burning of Zion! |
45
45
И# њвэщaхъ къ ни6мъ и3 рек0хъ: | For we are not better than they that died there. And they wept with a loud voice. And I answered them, and said, |
46
46
| ўповaй, ї}лю, и3 не скорби2 ты2, д0ме їaкwвль: | Be of good comfort, O Israel; and be not sorrowful, thou house of Jacob: |
47
47
| є4сть бо пaмzть њ вaсъ пред8 вhшнимъ, и3 крёпкій не забы2 вaсъ въ напaсти: | for the Most High hath you in remembrance, and the Mighty hath not forgotten you forever. |
48
48
| ѓзъ бо не њстaвихъ вaсъ, ни tид0хъ t вaсъ, но пріид0хъ на сіE мёсто, да помолю1сz њ разорeніи сіHна, да взыщY млcрдіе за смирeніе с™hни вaшеz: | As for me, I have not forsaken you, neither am I departed from you: but am come into this place, to pray for the desolation of Zion, and that I might seek mercy for the low estate of your sanctuary. |
49
49
| And now go your way every man to his own house, and after these days will I come unto you. |
50
50
| И# tи1де нар0дъ, ћкоже рек0хъ є3мY, во грaдъ: | So the people went their way into the city, like as I said unto them: |
51
51
| but I sat in the field seven days, as the angel commanded me; and in those days I did eat only of the flowers of the field, and had my meat of the herbs. |
